My sister wanted to try this place so I went with her and I was so disappointed! The food was I m sure left over from the night before. We ordered the appetizer plate which was served with dried out plaintains and topped with spoiled onions. Also, we ordered the chicken soup which had actually chicken bones and fat. It was disgusting. The waiter Miguel was not even a friendly waiter didn t have a smile on his face. When we walked in on Wednesday September 25 the place was empty. Should have left. The most disgusting food I have ever tried. Just nasty!

I had the Papa Rellena which was awful, tasted gummy. Also tried a beef Empanada which wasnt good either. The filling tasted a bit off. Not sure if the Empanada was just not my preference of taste but i do know the papa rellena should Not have tasted gummy. I wont be going back.

Hidden gem!! Bring your friends and family for lunch or dinner!! My husband and I have not had good Cuban food since we were last in south Florida, and Lolas somehow blew all of our previous experiences out of the water. I started out with their cortadito and it was not only the best cortadito Ive ever had, it was one of the best coffees in general Ive ever tasted. Be prepared for sugar if you order it, cortaditos traditionally are sweet, but you wont be sorry you had it as it was meant to be. My husband got the bisteak encebollado and loved it. Dont miss their yucca fries!! They are a rare find in Fort Worth. They are crispy, light, and fluffy. The service was amazing, everyone was so kind and considerate of any need we might have. We went during lunch hours and it was quiet, but they have lots of live events and host a lively night life. I cannot recommend Lolas enough!

Lolas Cuban Food - Restaurant & Bar was a pleasant surprise. While there are many dining options in the DFW area, they often fall into the same category. So, I was excited to try Caribbean Latino food in this part of the US. Now to preface my review, would I compare it to the Cuban food Ive had in Florida or New York? No, but given that were not in a region with a strong Caribbean influence, finding something that fits the bill was exciting. Lets start with the pros: the customer service was excellent, the restaurant was clean, and it was nicely decorated, making good use of the space. I ordered Caldosa with white rice, yuca fries, and a malta. The Caldosa was bussin had all the flavors needed to satisfy the taste buds. The rice was cooked just right, and the yuca fries were on point. I definitely think its worth exploring the different items on the menu. Now, for the Cons. While there were areas for improvement, they didnt affect my overall rating. The soup needed skimming big time, plus it was on the boarder of being a bit too oily in my opinion. At $11, I felt that the price point was fair for the market, but the dish lacked some substance. I got a tiny single corn ring, no potatoes or verduras (yuca, malanga, plantano, calabasa, etc), and small shreds of meat. If it had been a $6 cup of soup, it would have been okay, but for $11, which puts it in contention with other entrees, it needed a bit more. Perhaps maybe including a choice of rice, salad, or tostones on the side! Finally, I didnt like that my rice and yuca were packed in the same box. Since the fries were for someone else, so I had to dump all my rice into my soup to separate them. I would have preferred them packed separately. A few more fries would have been nice, too. Despite these improvements, the wonderful flavors still stood out, and Im looking forward to trying more items in the future.

Im going to start by saying that I am Cuban and I have visited this restaurant on several occasions, my first visit was 5 stars, I enjoyed everything, the food and the atmosphere, but from my second visit onwards everything has only gotten worse, and well this was my Last visit, the steak was dry and the potatoes seemed to be fried for the second or third time, in addition to the fact that my daughters Uruguayan steak was raw, I cant say the same about the cocktails since I really liked the mijitos they prepared for me, I ordered a portion of rice and it was served at the counter for about 15 minutes and they didnt send it to me. I had to ask the girl who was working at the bar and she brought it to me. My daughter ordered a soda and it had a strange taste, thinking it was I ordered another one in another glass and the taste was the same. As a musical tip, the atmosphere was good but I missed listening to Cuban music, I missed POLO MONTAÑES, BENI MORE, SELIA CRUZ, WILLI CHIRINO, EL MEDICO DE LA SALSA ETC, I clarify it was not there bad but as a Cuban who goes to that restaurant in search of his culture I would have liked something more, although it was not bad, in general, I give 2 stars not only because of the bad taste of the food and slowness of the service, but also because of what It has deteriorated a place that I liked so much on my first visit a few years ago. I hope this opinion helps you improve things and make a comfortable place for anyone who wants to know Cuban culture and food.

This restaurant was previously wonderful, apart from good quality and also excellent service, but lately the CLTs are not liking it very much... and much less the Cuban family... this is constructive criticism, it is not to offend the place, they must check whats happening because the food is always acidic, sour, the rice seems stored and reheated from 3 previous days... its not fair that such a nice place and such good food becomes an ordinary place where you cant go.

Edited 8/22/24 You can deny it all you want but dont forget I have the text were you were supposedly crediting my account back the $93.40. Since youre not willing to refund the money you overcharged me I will dispute it through my bank. The receipt you provided and the one with my signature that you will have to provide my bank dont match! So whos being dishonest?? I understand accusing your establishment of overcharging us is a serious accusation. With that being said please check your email, I have sent you the charge that posted to my bank account for $93.40 on 8/15/2024. We were there on Tuesday 8/13 @ approximately 5pm hopefully with this information it will help you find our $38.35 receipt at your end. And I dont have the receipt we left it on the table because were trusting people and maybe thats why we were taken advantage of but lesson learned dont trust anyone.

We moved from South Florida 7 years ago and since then we have been looking for a Cuban Food restaurant that is at least similar to those back home. After trying some in the DFW areas , I have to say we finally found it and it is even better than some in Miami. Lola s has a home made touch , balanced flavors , great atmosphere and the owners will make you feel like you are family. Large location with many other activities like music on the weekends , stands ups and dance classes. This is much more than a restaurant, is a small piece of Cuba.

I wanted to give this a chance. I figured I would start with something simple, so I ordered some empanadas. You really can t screw up empanadas, like if you managed to screw up making empanadas, your should not be cooking. The empanadas were literally a ball of oil. Disgusting taste. They were not crunchy anywhere and the oil was just excessive. I would never recommend because imagine they re using old oil or just flat out cooking and not caring about the outcome. You can just tell by looking at them, my co workers told me, do not eat that it looks disgusting. There s just no excuse, a delivery does not cause that outcome. Just bad bad.

This place was recommended to us by a friend so we were a little excited to try it. We walked in around 3, the place was empty when we walked in so my wife asked if they were open and the dude replied well, the door is open and youre here. That attitude kinda pissed me off. I should have walked out right then but my wife really wanted to eat here so i kept my tongue in but... My wife even said that was rude. It might have been different if he smiled to show some interest in breaking the ice by being funny but i felt like we were bothering him. So... We ordered maracuja drink, which was sweet and refreshing. For our appetizer, croquetas de pollo, which were pretty good. I ordered the Ropa Viejo plate with mashed potato and my wife ordered Bistek encebollado. My plate was decent but portions were small, potatoes were nothing special. My wife said her steak was dry and she didnt like the rice. i agree since i had a taste. The dude finally decided to be sociable when it came time to pay (tip time... How convenient). All in all, i wasnt impressed. I left hungry still and my wife said the same thing when we pulled up into our driveway.. im gonne be hungry in an hour I probably wont be back.

We were excited to try this place but were sadly disappointed. Our waitress was terrible her English was very bad we showed her what we wanted by pointing it out on the menu she left several times while we were ordering to what looked like a office. It was a simple order 3 sandwichs and a pasta. I ordered the beef sandwich. Waited a long time finally came out some how she got beef steak out of the sandwich I ordered After I had showed her and pointed out on the menu. She wasnt happy I didnt want it she took it to the cook and made a sound of disgust to him. I ate half of my husbands sandwich while waiting for mine. My granddaughter ordered a strawberry smoothie it was pretty much ice some milk and not enough strawberries to even turn it pink in color. The waitress didnt even come back to check on drinks. Had to redo bill because she charged out it wrong. On a high note the pork sandwich was good. But my beef sandwich was tough as hell.

Please do not visit during the week. Experience may be different on Friday/Saturday nights. We got here for early dinner (before 5 pm). Our food was room temperature, most likely left over from lunch. We ordered the stuffed plantain appetizer. Nearly cracked a tooth biting into it. The stuffing was room temp as was also the plantains. One item we ordered was the Cuban sandwich. However, what we got must have been the lunch portion as we only got half of the sandwich with cold soggy fries. Sandwich didnt even include pickles. We also ordered a plate of pork, rice and salad. Since this dish did not include beans, we also ordered a side. The only item that was remotely tasty was the rice. The only reason for the 1 star was for cold bottled beer and clean rest rooms.

No one spoke to us at all though several folks with Toast terminals and Lolas shirts passed our table. What did they think we were doing there? If I just wanted to look at the menu I would have saved the trip. I will not plan to return. I Do Not Recommend.

## A disappointment at Lolas: Overheated food, deafening noise and inattentive service Unfortunately, my recent visit to Lolas turned out to be a disappointing experience. From the moment I entered, the blaring music prevented me from having a normal conversation with my companions. This is not a matter of personal taste, but rather a volume that made it impossible to enjoy the evening. The food, although it looked acceptable, arrived cold and with clear evidence of having been reheated. The portions were small, and did not correspond to the expectations generated by the menu. To make matters worse, one of the dishes arrived wrong, which shows a lack of attention on the part of the staff. The service was also not up to par. The waiters seemed absent, without asking if we needed anything or if everything was to our liking. The general feeling was one of indifference, as if our interest in the gastronomic experience was indifferent to them. In short, Lolas falls short in many ways. The mediocre food, the deafening music and the lack of attention from the staff turn the experience into a disappointment. I do not recommend this restaurant to those looking for a pleasant evening and professional service.

Ill start with the good The service was very good and fast, the people were very friendly, the flan was spectacular 100 out of 100, the food was not up to par with a good Cuban restaurant , the tamales did not have any meat and the The flavor was average and the meat was similar, my husband ordered the tail on fire and it was pure bone and 3 wheels that did not have any meat. rice. Terrible, both the congris and the white were bad. Without color and it looked like broken rice and without color the congris, the tostones were not good and the cassava was a little hard, but what surprised me most is that the plates are plastic. and the glasses too. The food is not expensive but if you are a Cuban who eats well it is not your ideal place because they do not serve much meat specifically.

As a teen, I grew up in Miami, so I guess I have too high of standards. Yesterday I had a craving for a Cuban sandwich. I will start with the flan was outstanding. But I was disappointed with the Cuban sandwich. There was no cheese, only one very thinly slice of ham, only two small pickles, little mustard and the pork was mushy pulled pork. Not what you would expect for $10.50. The Yucca fries were good and the Tostones were outstanding, but you must pay extra for the mojo dip (I asked for garlic dip) which was more of a vinaigrette. The waiter must of misunderstood, French fries come with the sandwich, I wanted a side order of Yuca fries and the Tostones. He said I could substitute, but he failed to tell me that I would be charged extra, the difference between the regular fries and the Yuca and Tostones. All and all a Coke, two Cuban sandwiches, with one with Yucca fries and the other with Tostones, and one vanilla flan was over $40.00 dollars. They do have outside seating, a bar and live band on certain nights and times, although I left before the band started. They were warming up. Ill go again to be fair, its the closest place to my home. Next time I will be clear about what I expect to fix what I mentioned above.

I truly wanted to like this place, but I ended up getting sick. I wouldn t recommend anything that s fried from here because it question the meat that s put inside the stuffed selections. The soup seemed like the only thing that I ordered that was hot and homemade. I may try one more time to get the rice, beans and meat, but I m sure I can go somewhere else to get that!

We came here on a whim and found this little Cuban spot! We tried the croquettes and tamales as appetizers and they were both AMAZING! For our food we ordered the oxtails, chicken caldosa, and fried yucca! All were so delicious and full of flavor! It was so good we had to order dessert. We got two flans, one in vanilla one in coconut. They were an amazingly creamy and smooth!! The perfect meal from beginning to end! Not a single complaint.

If I could give it zero, it would be better, the service is very bad, the food they offer is old food, there is no one who eats it, it was not to my taste, but the penalty does not resolve this, it is a lack of respect for me to order such an expensive food that they charged. and the food was for dogs, its very sad that they are Cubans

It was my first time coming to Lola s. The live music was a lot of fun & definitely set the atmosphere. My server was very kind & the food was amazing. I got the beef with onions, yellow rice & beans on the side. I also got a side of sweet plantains. I also ordered a passion fruit juice it was so fresh and natural really reminded me of home. My only feedback would be that the cabbage salad would do amazingly with some acidity. Traditionally a Latin salad always has some lime or vinegar. Regardless 5/5 stars. This place deserves to be busier!

Visiting this place is an experience that can be repeated. My husband and I went straight to the bar, drinks and good service until the live music made us stop to dance... time passed and 5 mojitos later I dared to scream at the karaoke that is enabled after midnight (check the schedules after 5 mojitos, dont ask me to remember), very good service, cold drinks, good atmosphere (friendly), clean place as a good coffee lover the next morning we returned to the rematch but this time to try coladito coffee, coffee chocolate with ice and enjoy a couple of games of dominoes at the tables outside the place, spending a couple of hours we entered the restaurant this time we chose the good suckling pig sandwich, deli croquette sandwich, ame la yuca and chicharritos as a garnish . We could definitely notice that all the dishes were made one by one like eating at home and of course we will return to continue trying (fried fish is next). I would only add one more person to the table service at rush hour.

I went to this restaurant on Sunday. Customer service from us Cubans is very bad in general, there is no permit, enjoy the food, have a good day. Nothing . The food was average, the meats were good but the rice at the primary school cafeteria in Cuba is better. The lemon soda was very bad, as was the salad and the stuffed tostones. Yes, the chicharritas and the fries are good. Its not a place I would recommend at all.

I still never received my drink after an hour and a half. Don t visit if you want good food or service.
