Well, they did it! They finally got my claim approved after being denied 3 time over 3 years! I kinda feel like it took too long....I really dont know why it did. Not really sure why I hired them to represent me on my disability case. I complete and submit the SSA paperwork mailed to me on my own. Their advice is to answer truthfully. Duh! Lying on a government form never helps and only hurts! Seriously! Since I am doing the work, why am I giving you $7,200 dollars out of my settlement?

McDonald Law firm contacted me over two yrs ago to represent my case. Its been in appeal for more than a year. I have to contact them about the status. I get the same answer every time. They tell me SSI is short staffed and my case is under review. If I would have known this was gonna be the case I would have never agreed to hiring them. I got several calls from them when they wanted my case. After that I cant tell that they have put in any effort other than telling me its under review and I have to call them for that. Im not even sure this is a legitimate firm.

If I could give them a zero I would. I signed on with them 2 years ago and I have been denied 2x. Fine this happens. My case can possible go to appeal. The firm knows nothing about my injuries or my work history and the appeal suppervisor laughed at me when I said I wanted to cancel the agreement. Social Security typically automatically denies all claims at first. They make the process very cumbersome and painfully slow and bank on the fact that most people will just give up. DONT!! If based off of the results it would definitely be a 5 star review. However the overall experience was still good Im glad I picked them BUT I just would have liked to be contacted throughout the process more. Each stage of the process I was contacted to be given an explanation about what was going to happen, but once & only once. Personally I would have liked to been contacted at least bi-weekly AT LEAST to simply been told, hey paperwork is being looked over, we are waiting on.... This is whats going on .... Thats all. I think it is really bad, that before you have a hearing with the judge, and the lawyer that is going to be on the phone representing you, cannot leave a call back number. Kristy, at the main office in Texas, kept telling me to remove the spam blocker from my phone to allow phone calls. I repeatedly told her, I did not have any type of spam blocker on my phone. I was told the reason that the attorney representing me the day of my hearing, would not leave his number, was because lawyers are afraid of giving out their personal cell phones, because they have found out that people would call them all hours of the day and night. That was not my intention at all. I did not even receive a phone call from the judge the day of my hearing. Thank God, he did rule in my favor. I have been fighting for disability off and on, for about 9 or 10 years, and always got denied. This judge found that I did not qualify for disability, but I did qualify for SSI. At least, I finally get my back pay for when I filed, with McDonalds Law Firm. The one attorney that works with Kristy, was extremely rude, and acted like I was stupid. I told Kristy, that I would rather deal with her, than deal with that other lady that she works with. From that day forward I always spoke with Kristy. They received 25% on my back pay, which was almost $2,400. I hope theyre happy with that, and Im so thankful I dont have to deal with them anymore!

Its hard to convince ssi of a back problem with little records but they stuck with it over11/2 years and got it for me.
