Service and atmosphere are top notch but unfortunately the food left much to be desired. Brisket burger was extremely dry, we tried getting ketchup to lessen the dryness and they didn t offer that so I had to douse it in barbecue sauce. Brisket tacos were also on the dryer side but the mac and cheese was fantastic. Overall not sure it s worth the hype.

We ordered brisket, ribs, and pork belly burnt ends, which were delicious! The pork belly burnt ends were a tad too cooked, but still tasty. The ribs were BY FAR our favorite! For dessert, we ordered the pecan bread pudding, which in my opinion the portion and flavor profile were lacking for the price. It needed a sauce and to be double the portion. I did not remove a star because the ribs will be hard to top! The outdoor sitting area was pleasant and the service was quick (went in around 11:15).

The food was ok overall. The brisket was very dry but tasted ok. The beef rib was good but underwhelming. The Texas Twinkie was great. The potato was large and pretty good. Pork belly poppers were good. The atmosphere was mixed. In doors the main building was a little dirty and looked like organized chaos but the courtyard was nice. The price for what we got was pretty hefty. The tray in the image is the $96. Takes me about 50 minutes to get here. Cant justify the drive to try it again. Too many great places to do this place again, that are consistent.

Drove over 45 mins to this place looking at some tic tok post only to be waaaaay disappointed. Told after standing in line over 20 mins no ribs, the main thing I wanted to try, no smoked chicken, no this no that. This is like 330pm on a Saturday afternoon wth??? Order two brisket elotes, one slaw. One nothing but FAT burnt ends and two small desserts. 67.00. In todays economy. Place was packed so obviously must be some good. I however drove 45 mins to a big bill for little to nothing. No sides included all Alacarte, another loser in this economy. Atmosphere wonderful but the setup is a killer and costly! 16 bucks for brisket elotes, Imit like okay must be nice size. Like pint sized at best. 32 bucks just for those two things. May have not stuck out so much had I not bought burnt ends that were NOTHING but burnt pieces of fat and not ONE side.

Panther City BBQ delivers some fantastic brisket, delicious sausage, and great burnt pork ends. By far one of the better ordering experiences I ve had at a BBQ spot. While watching someone cut and weigh your meat is somewhat entertaining, the added wait time isn t worth it. I wish other top BBQ places understood how much more efficient it is to order at the counter and have your food brought to the table when it s ready. It was also a huge plus that so many people could wait in line inside in the AC. We arrived at 10:30 AM on a Sunday, with only one other car in the parking lot shocking, because in Austin, a BBQ like this would have had people lined up for hours. We were first in line at 10:50 AM, and when the doors opened at 11:00, we had our food by 11:05 and were walking out the door by 11:30. We noticed that those who joined the line at 11:00 were placing their orders within about 20 minutes.

Rarely have I found the opportunity and to be honest I didn t think today would be memorialized, etched in my brain. The brisket is good, sausage okay, and ribs raised my eyebrows with satisfaction. Ok first off the brisket is insanity. Wet, delicious, soft, just incredible. Easily our favorite. However in a close second are the ribs. Fall of the bone soft, Smokey flavor, and a rub so flavorful you don t even need to add bbq sauce for. Then we had pork bbq - which was also delicious, but a LOT in that 1/2 lb, and this one was better with their bbq sauce (which is also delicious!). The pork belly burnt ends were great too, but rich as you d expect, can t eat too much of them. Huge shout out to Alyssa and Sarahi at the register for helping us piece our meal together, and the recommendation for the mustard based dill potato salad which exceeded expectation and helped cut the richness of the meat. The Mac and cheese tho - one of the all time best. And I ve had a lot of Mac and cheese. Easy 5 stars all around. Enjoy!

All right, I love me some barbecue. When you first enter this place the line starts at the door. It moves pretty fast. You order your food at the front, and pay. Then you find somewhere to sit and they find you when your food is ready. Somebody actually walks through the place yelling your name. Its pretty awesome, lol. There is not a lot of seating inside, but if you can find a place, it is very cool, thanks to the wonderful air conditioning. There is a bar, and then a fountain drink station to the left of that bar. It gets a little bit crowded but not too bad. If you need to use the restroom, they have a couple both inside and outside. There is not a lot of parking on the side of the street where the barbecue place is. We actually parked across the street and a dirt lot. But, crossing the road is not dangerous at all, so you dont really have to worry about that. We sat outside. It was a warm day, of course. A little bit humid, but shockingly there is a ton of shade. It was great to be outside, and it was definitely family friendly. Now, to the food. The way that I decide if barbecue is to my liking or not is based on my own system. So, take this with a grain of salt. The metric that I use is, do I need to put sauce on my food or is it moist enough and has enough taste on its own. Not that I dont like sauce, because sometimes thats one of the best parts of these barbecue places. But, if I cannot eat my food without having to douse it because its too dry, then its not that great, in my book. The food here was very moist and to tell you the truth, I dont even think I used any sauce at all! Everybody gets something different when they go to barbecue places, and I know that certain regions of the country are known for certain kind of parts of the barbecue. Because it is texas, I do always get the brisket. In this case, the brisket was some of the best Ive had. I also got some of the burnt pork ends, which were definitely my favorite. They were sweet and pulled apart really easy. Pretty incredible, actually. Besides were really good. They were not big portions, but thats cool because otherwise Im just stuffing my big fat face. The beans had a really good flavor to them and they were not too soupy. They were just right. The potato salad is a mustard base, which is my favorite. Sometimes potato salad can be too slimy. This potato salad was just right. The mac and cheese was really good, and had some jalapenos, which I love. But of course they are on the top so if you dont like them you can just pick them off. Any of the desserts are going to be really good. The problem is, they were out of most of them when we were there. They only had one, the Nutter Butter pudding... it did not disappoint. All in all I would have to say that this is probably my favorite barbecue place so far. Granted, I am pretty new to Texas. So I have to get to a lot of places. Did you go here, and if so what are your thoughts? Where else should I try? Parking: Not a lot of parking on the side of the actual establishment. You will have to walk across the street from the dirt lot. Not a big problem though. Kid-friendliness: Great place to take your family if you have little kids. They are not going to break anything, and if they get stuff messy, thats totally cool.

Burnt Ends peeled apart softly inside with crisp edges, cheese/jalapeno sausage is packed with flavor, Brisket over elote is little sisters fav every time, Mac n cheese was perfect consistency, the nutter butter cheesecake is perfection and I couldve eaten a plate of poppers alone as a meal. Briskset Tacos were a bit dry without sauce, and they needed a crunch, so I added chili crisps at home. They also needed guacamole, which I made at home. The pork belly burnt ends were perfect. Guisada brisket needed the same as the tacos. Its worth the try, but Id probably not come again, especially since I live in easy Dallas and was just driving through. The sausage ran out after I paid, so I got more guisado, and two people came up to me to tell me so, so they can do a better job of organization but its not a big deal. The lines are long, and waiting for the food was longer than other bbq places with similar quality. Parking across the street in the grass or by the curb is necessary as they only have a few spots by the restaurant.

This place was recommended to us by our B&B hosts and hearing that it won awards we had to give it a try. Unfortunately not sure if today was an off day for them, but neither of us enjoyed the food, lacking in flavor overall. We understand that each state or region may have different standards of taste and texture for BBQ, but coming from another southern state, it was just not our kind of thing. They also seem to only have one type of sauce available at the table, which seemed to be heavily soupy and watered down. Perhaps if more sauce options were available, we may have liked it more. The price and portion sizes were comparable to any other BBQ place. The inside seems to have more of a bar scene setup rather than a BBQ place but the outside dining area makes up for it.

I recently visited Panther City BBQ and was blown away by the incredible flavors. The Brisket Elote had a smoky mouth feel that was absolutely divine. The Pork Belly Burnt Ends melted in my mouth, offering a savory, sweet experience. The Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage had an incredible mouth feel, with a juicy, spicy bite that was simply unforgettable. The mouth feel of each dish was truly exceptional, leaving a lasting impression. However, the broken Connect Four game was a huge disappointment. My kids were excited to play, but when they found it broken, they got so upset they started playing with handguns they found in the car. Their silent, intense focus on the guns was terrifying, and all because of a simple game. Fix the connect four machine. Fix the connect four machine. Fix the connect four machine. Fix the connect four machine. Fix the connect four machine. Fix the connect four machine.

Ordered a pickup for 4th of July, review is mainly for the food. Simple to order, decent wait (from what my brother said he picked it up, lol) & all packaged up nicely. If you do these orders, know that you will have to slice everything yourself, which is fine & they do let you know that they come whole when ordering. Just an FYI if you are ordering for a get together or something. Meats also come wrapped up, so make sure you have your own pans or serving plates. Ribs - good, lots of flavor. Sausage (regular & jalapeño cheddar) - worth it, especially the jalapeño cheddar! Brisket - delicious, every piece was flavorful & juicy. However, the brisket is extremely greasy. The two sides we had were the potato salad & mac n cheese. They were good but nothing special. The meat was very salty, just be warned. I love salt but it was a bit too much for me. Their BBQ sauce is delicious, its on the sweet side which is more to my liking. I wouldnt mind eating here or ordering food from them again!

I had high hopes before stepping into this place. There has been so much buzz and chatter that I couldn t wait to try it! I ordered the Southside Slammer to get a taste of several of their meats and a 1/4 lb of burnt ends. What a total disappointment!!!! How in the world can this place be ranked so high? The brisket was so dry and lacked flavor and smoke. The jalapeño sausage tasted like ground meal. The bologna tasted like sawdust. Seriously, I fed the bologna and brisket to my dog because I couldn t eat it. The pulled pork was excellent. The kitchen forgot to add the cole slaw so I was jipped out of trying it. The pickles weren t to my liking but those are sometimes hard to please. The shining star of the meats was the burnt ends! Great job on those but a failure on the brisket, sausage and bologna. Too many other great Q places so I won t be back. On a brighter note, my dog loved it but he ll eat anything!

The food was phenomenal: flavor, tenderness , and presentation. We traveled across the nation and decided to stop at a Bbq on the 4th of July. Service was great! Only downside was that we wanted the Hell s Half Acre but they had run out of two types of meat so we ended up just getting the Cowtown . Food was delicious, fed a family of five! Parking: Parking is over a patch of land.

Being that this place is always packed and I m a FOODIE who loves some damn good BBQ, I was a little disappointed with my experience. Maybe I set the Bar too high for this spot but i was expecting MORE FLAVOR and better vibes. The food was mediocre at best. I ll probably go back to give it another shot but really wasn t all that impressed if I m being brutally honest. Seems like the hype was built by people who have little to no taste buds. Even the Mac and cheese was disappointing. This was a cheat day for me giving that I m vegan now so yeah .. was definitely expecting to be WOWED which didn t happen Parking: Few spots in front and plenty of parking in the open lot across the street. Also street parking nearby

Legit! I ve had good BBQ and I ve made some good BBQ Panther City makes some of the best BBQ I ve ever tasted. Brisket was awesome; pork belly was superb. Frankly, the sausage was a little weak. Macaroni and cheese hit! Collard greens and the banana pudding were superb! The indoor atmosphere was really cool and the outdoor experience was fantastic. The service was great. Everyone was patient and I never felt rushed. Their menu is a cool mixture of traditional and their own takes on traditional. I want to go again to try some of the more unique dishes like brisket elote! The quote in the restaurant was, You are now about to witness the strength of meat knowledge Dude, if you re quoting NWA and putting your own spin on it and it works respect right there. Definitely deserves a spot in my top ten BBQ places of all time. Awesome They even let me and my son see their pits and we had a ten minute conversation with one of the pit masters!

Panther City BBQ was my favorite BBQ joint that I visited while visiting Dallas/Fort Worth. Out of the places I visited, Panther Citys meats and sides had the best flavor AND it was the cheapest out of the BBQ places we visited. The Pork Belly was so delicious. However be sure you eat these first as they come out tender and soft while hot but become hard and chewy when they get cooler. The brisket was so rich and flavorful and was one of the best tasting briskets Ive ever had. The sausages were the least standout but was still super flavorful and were finished super quickly. I highly recommend visiting here! The food and vibes are immaculate.

Easily one of the top BBQ restaurants in DFW, if not Texas. Incredible pork belly burnt ends, the brisket is out of this world, and the ribs and sausage are top notch as well. Reasonably priced for top tier barbecue. It also doesnt hurt that the staff is always helpful and friendly, and clearly have a passion for what they do. Parking: Only a few spots in front of the building, or across the street. The adjacent parking lot is used by other businesses, so is off-limits to the general public.

We had the Cowtown Platter and additional pork ribs. Brisket was 10/10, pork ribs very good. We didnt need the sausage and the pulled pork wasnt anything special either. But this brilliant brisket alone is worth every penny. As sides we had mac and cheese (very good) and cream corn (too much cilantro for us). The two of us didnt even come close to accomplishing everything. Edit: After we ate roughly the same things again in Napa, I have to lower one star. Everything there was really much better and even cheaper.

First time trying this place out and we will be back. Im mostly a brisket guy and they had it sooooo many ways. 1/2 options, sandwiches, tacos, brisket elote, quesadilla. We got the brisket elote, 1/2 prime brisket and the spicy mac and cheese. Everything was awesome. The sauce is a little on the spicy side but not enough for even the pickiest spice levels. They have a great outdoor area as well that just compliments them well. We arent from the area but when we come back well be here.

Ive lived in the area for 6 years and Im moving out of the area next week. I finally stopped in here to try the food and I. Am. Livid. Im livid with myself for not coming here sooner. So Im sitting here with the meat sweats in a fit of rage warning you to not repeat my mistakes. Ive been to a lot of bbq places around DFW following recommendations from friends but this is hands down the best by a wide margin. Eat your heart out DFW BBQ, you arent even in the same league as the Brisket here. Come and enjoy a religious experience as this brisket slowly melts into your mouth and the sweet, smoky, salty flavors wash across your pallet. My eyes have been opened. You have been warned, dont be like me.

While I havent had every BBQ place in Ft. Worth, this is my current go to whenever I have a fixin for some brisket. I really enjoy the Latino-BBQ spin they do here and the food they serve is to die for. I try something different everytime I go and I love that they serve $15 single beef ribs on saturdays. Flacos tacos with barbacoa are my favorite menu item, but you really cant go wrong with anything they have. It is always lively here, so the line may be slightly long (it goes by pretty quickly). The vibe inside is great, and service time is good as well despite how busy it can get. Parking is usually pretty easy too if you park across the street. Excellent banana pudding as well!

Would rather have thin. Wife got pulled pork sandwich. She said ok. Potato salad was ok. Beans were ok, very spicey. The burgers looked good,,, should have got that. As for the bar b que,,, not impressed. Flavor was just not right. If brisket is good you don t need sauce.

Great barbecue, and a great selection of barbecue twists- Mexican influenced versions of different types of barbecue. This is not your basic barbecue place they have lots of options lots of different things, including Barbacoa tacos burritos and everything barbecue. Nice full bar, indoor and outdoor seating. The brisket latte is always a great full meal or side for several. Their sandwiches are a full meal! The South Side Smasher is a meal for two people LOL. You really cant do better on the south side. Vegetarian options: Seriously? As for the elote without brisket I suppose Parking: Not a lot of space in the parking lot, not much more on the street, and you can risk parking in the vacant lot across the road, but they do have signs that it is tow away zone
