2 adults 2 kids sat out on patio 10am ,our waiter (nose piercings) informed us he was very tired, had bar tended the evening before when in fact he reaked of alcohol and couldnt remember anything if he didnt write it down. I got chicken sausage with the Buddy Holly, it was refrigerator cold, 2 eggs over medium 1 was broken, 2 adults ordered Wrecking Ball Nashville hot, not an ounce of heat tasted from either plate like it was left off, extremely disappointed considering both parties drove 3 hours to eat here.

Is this place still open?!?!?? I used to love going here, but I have tried to go several times in the past few weeks and every time I go they are not open. I ve checked their hours on the door and online and have shown up during the hours listed and nobody is there! What is going on? Do they close early or have hours different than online or on the door? I know they have a break in the day where they are closed and haven t come during that time or the days they are closed.

Don t come here if you want to be treated bad. I rarely write bad reviews but the service we had was just awful. I hate to do any comparison but this is the complete opposite of the service we get at homestead where everyone is so kind . I wish for today we drove 20 min to go there instead of going to milo which is close but took them over 50 minutes to bring our food. The wait was not the problem. As a nurse and doctor, we understand more than anyone what its like to serve people. not once did any of the staff act apologetic toward us and treated us more like burden. with fake forced smile on our servers face along with the manager, I didnt even want to make eye contact anymore. I wondered to myself if maybe its how they are to everyone, but i observed their interaction with the customers in a table next to us and they were kind and joking around with overall good vibes. it was just really strange to see the difference of how they treated other customers in comparison to us. so yes Im super bitter if you cant tell. But i cant help it when i compare this awful vibe and service to other farm to table restaurants with staff who are not judgmental , humble, and kind.

Really enjoyed our trip to Milo today. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Our waitress was very friendly, gave nice recommendations, and brought out water bowls for our dogs. The food came our quickly and was well made. I had the short rib and my wife had the butternut squash risotto. We also had the almost expresso martini and frozen ocean breeze. They all came out very well. The patio is dog friendly.

Nice restaurant for dinner. Food was good. Service was good and friendly. I would recommend trying. We tried the corn ribs. They were ok. I m from NJ and am very biased to NJ corn. It wasn t sweet. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the short rib was tasty. Some of the pictures I saw made them look like large portions. Ours were not. But certainly not small. We were very happy with the meal.

I could not wait to dine at Milo when I visited Waco a few months prior to my dining experience. It did not disappoint! Delicious farm to table fare, stellar service (John was our server), the manager was gracious and made sure to check on all patrons and was a wealth of information regarding the restaurants mission and philosophy of serving only fresh, wholesome, locally-sought food and beverages prepared in a scratch kitchen. The atmosphere makes you want to stay a while and take in the warm ambiance. We had the Brussel sprouts and pimento cheese for an appetizer and several entries. I didnt take any pictures because were starving but I promise you will not be disappointed in whatever you order. Bon apetit! Kid-friendliness: Fresh and wholesome options. Wheelchair accessibility: Both inside and on their beautiful patio.

During a recent business meeting in Waco, I sought out a puppy-friendly restaurant and discovered this establishment through an online search. The staff, particularly our waiter, demonstrated exceptional kindness and even provided water for my puppy. The culinary experience was remarkable, featuring farm-to-table ingredients that showcased remarkable freshness. Impressed by our initial visit, we returned the following day to sample additional dishes, all of which were expertly prepared. The pork belly, biscuit, and mad burger were particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly return on future visits to Waco.

Milos is my go-to restaurant but last night it was hot, a/c wasnt working. That happens. But it was when the waitress said its been hot for the past few weeks and management wont fix it, thats when I thought that wasnt right. A few weeks ago, my clients went there, based on my recommendation, and no one came to the table for 20min and they got up and left. Very unlike Milos. The Salad & Brussels were excellent, but the new deviled eggs werent great - I prefer the last recipe from spring. Those were amazing!

Tantalizing dishes with fresh ingredients. I loved the Hopping Johnnie, a very flavorful set of vegetables and greens on rice. The peanut butter pie was outstanding though definitely needed to be shared. Milo has a small parking lot, though also has lots of street parking available. Across the street is balcones distillery, an excellent whiskey maker, and next door is a craft store and a cookie shop.

Went for brunch on Sunday around noon. It wasn t too busy. The hostess wasn t very friendly in the sense that when we asked how long the wait would be she asked if we had a reservation. When we told her we did not have reservations and asked again how long the wait would be (with an empty waiting area) she stated that she had several reservations coming in and again didn t give us a helpful response. We were just about to walk out when I looked over at the bar and saw some seating so we went over there. Glad for us that we did because the food was great. My husband had the burger and I had the wrecking ball. Both were delicious and the service was good. Looking forward to going back. Hoping they have a dinner menu.

Diego is one of the best managers Ive met. Ive open thousands or bars and restaurants and this guy and place is legit. I would probably steal him if I lived here. But they were closed and we were at balconies across the street. We placed an order online not knowing they were closed. I walked over after 30 min and Diego informed me they were closed and this happens sometimes. However he then told his cook to make some truffle fries and made a little girl very happy. Dude is legit and so is this establishment. Its hard to find employees like him.

We found this restaurant on Resy when we needed a reservation after Baylor Graduation. We were disappointed that no one answers the phone as we had a question regarding changing our reservation to add an additional family member and the Resy automated call was not helpful. After showing up in person to ask to change our reservation, I was given a hard time before it was accommodated. When we showed up, half the restaurant was empty and it made no sense why the hassle. The food was okay but lacked flavor in some dishes and portions were a bit small. Also some dishes came out hot and others cold.

So if you have well behaved dogs, this is a great place to bring them. If we are ever back in Waco I will be sure to stop by and have dinner there again. Mediocre at best. Dont order the pork belly pancake. Their version of a pancake is a disgrace to the name. It s gluten free but not stated on the menu. It s thinner than a centimeter and it s incredibly gritty to taste, awful texture. The spice and the egg were the best part about this dish. Yes we know pork belly is fatty but that doesn t mean the entire piece of it is completely fatty and inedible. This was truly a shame and terrible start to a weekend in Waco. My husband got the burger, also very mediocre. Our server suggested their house made Jalapeno ranch for the fries, that dip was the best thing I tasted at the restaurant. Not worth the hype, or the price. Vibe and aesthetic were on point, maybe just go for drinks?

The brussel sprouts were another stunning bite, so much so we ordered another one for our meals! For our entrees, the salmon was cooked wonderfully with a nice crispy skin, the pork chop was a tasty smoked medium and the short rib was melt-in-the-mouth perfection! Very clean! Super nice staff! Food was really good. The seasoning is unique. Some items were under cooked but they fixed it immediately, I had steak bites, nashville hot chicken its not as hot but a little heat, still good, and the French toast....very good!!!

Milo s is everything!!! On our trip to Waco we spent a day away from the Magnolia scene and went to Milo s for lunch! My husband got a phenomenal short rib sandwich and we split some corn ribs (best sandwich we ve ever had, and the corn ribs were equally great)! Our waiter was extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. We ended up even going back the next day for my birthday breakfast after having an unpleasant experience at Bertie s Rooftop. We were denied bringing a birthday cake with us to Bertie s and went to Milo s where they not only gave us additional silverware for the cake but even offered to take a video of us cutting into it because it was such a pretty cake. Breakfast was equally amazing the Benedict was one of the best I ve had! Don t forget to try a spiked Pop s lemonade as well! Milo you have won our heart and your customer service is just the best!

12/2/23 Today was our first time at Milo and it was wonderful. Anytime we come to visit Waco we try a new brunch spot and Milo takes the trophy for best dining experience. Our server was Jackson and he was absolutely excellent very charismatic and friendly. Thanks for the superior service and delicious food!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The tomato soup and grilled cheese is and you can never go wrong with truffle fries. Caitlyn was amazing. Kind, calm, and accommodating. We weren t a huge fan of the biscuit bread pudding French toast. It wasn t bad it just wasn t what you d expect from a French toast. It s very dense and lightly sweetened. As you eat it your brain is thinking it s supposed to be savory but it s not. I typically like lightly sweetened and it worked but again not what you d expect from a French toast. It s much more a bread pudding. I wasn t ready to receive.

Could be incredible. For take out, I ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer and the short rib with grits. There were no grits with the meal. The brussel sprouts were not trimmed, everyone of them had the stem on it, and they were under cooked. All the flavors were good though.

Served me RAWWWW meat, even the server that was rude to begin with even took it in the back and took it off our receipt. On a positive note the place was nicely decorated and clean and the fries were good .. more detail about the raw meat, it was only thinly brown on the outside but was purely raw Inside like off the shelf kind of meat, had no texture just melted in my mouth bc it was so raw. It ruined my whole appetite. We just left.

A nice find while in a weekend away! Milo offers quality food in a modern clean atmosphere. Our server was so sweet. She was attentive and kind. The lead bar tender is a bit lazy but the other bar staff are ready to help and offer insight on drinks. The Brussels are note worthy!!! So yummy. The blue corn gluten free pancakes are also delish! The chicken sausage was seasoned wonderfully and a must order for brunch. The butcher block steak at dinner was cooked perfectly, but the price was too high for what you receive. All in all we would visit again. Dietary restrictions: If you eat gluten free you will find some nice choices. Parking: Parking is tricky!

This was a decent experience. The atmosphere was great, the service was okay, and the food was subpar. The food looked amazing but it lacked seasoning and my biscuit was dry. The truffle fries were lukewarm. The brussel sprouts were delicious though. Parking: Like most downtown parking, it was a challenge. Thank God it was a beautiful day, so my walk was refreshing.

Dont bother. This place is not good at all. The biscuits are dry and taste like they came out of a can. The fries are a mix of soggy and stale. The meat is flavorless, and everything is overpriced. I heard a lot of good things about this place, so I gave it a second try after a poor first attempt, but they continue to disappoint.

This was our first visit. We were in town for the weekend and looking for a brunch place on Sunday before heading home. A friend suggested Milo. We were a party of 4 and as far as I can tell the other 3 were pleased. I should also add that we had a great server - Ali. We highly recommend her! As for my food I was a bit disappointed. I had the entree named the Buddy Holly. The entire plate was cold (not warm/hot food). I had my eggs poached. They came out dry (looks like someone dried them off after cooking) and, as mentioned, not warm to speak of. They were served (for aesthetics we were told) on some limp field greens. The biscuit was so dry I almost couldnt eat it. Some butter and the egg yolks helped a little. The bacon was fine. I would get toast next time and maybe over-easy eggs.

The music was so loud you could not carry on a conversation. I ask the waiter to turn the volume down but that did not occur. After asking twice the waiter brought a biscuit.

Service is just the WORST I have ever got. We waited 20min to get our waiter to take our order, he took our appetizer wrong, he came to us every two minutes asking if anything he could help and kept breaking our conversation. Worst part is, he came to me 15min after served our food and said ready for your check? No rush. Then he just stood there right by our table looking us eat, holding his credit card machine. Never seen anything like this before.
