Havent been there in awhile but today I felt a longing for GOOD satisfying Indian cuisine. Wasnt dissatisfied at all. As usual I chose to allow Sarah make her suggestions and my wife and I were totally satisfied. Just the right amount of oven temp and the perfect addition of spices. Outstanding. I must comment on the remodel. The ambiance was fantastic.

My husband and I came in tonight with our 3 kids and Saranya was our server. It was our first time here and can I just say it was the best experience we have had anywhere. She was so kind and patient she gave us wonderful suggestions about what curries were kid friendly along with explaining the differences between the curries for my husband and I. Everything was delicious! Probably the best Indian food we ve had. She was very attentive and even took the time to talk to my children learn their names and answer any questions my kids had for her. My family will definitely be back!! Thank you again Saranya!

Biryani was very disappointing. It s far from being authentic. They didn t even use basmati rice which makes a biryani, biryani. It had regular rice with some tomato sauce. If they at least used real basmati rice, boiled, and served if nothing else, it would have been better. Food is overpriced for a made up dish with a made up sauce on the side. First and last time for me.

My husband and I love Ista: The food is delicious, the service was great, and the people were all super friendly. We received fantastic recommendations, and it was all wonderful!!! Parking: Ista is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking, handicapped and non-handicapped. Wheelchair accessibility: I am in a wheelchair - I had no difficulty at all, parking to doorways to restaurant navigation. I did not visit the restroom, but I assume it is handicapped friendly.

The food is always great though the spice level isn t consistent. The reason I m giving them 2 stars is that we HAVE to order online every time because dinning in for some reason is an extra $20 on the bill (charge for appetizer we didn t order & water). Online it stated the food would be ready at 5:35 to 5:45. We drive 25 minutes and get there at 6 pm which should be plenty of extra time to finish our order. My bf goes inside and they hadn t even started it! Whatever we ll wait right? No, the second my bf walked back out to the car to let me know they CANCELED our order. I call it in instead just to give them grace and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Called at 6:04, went in at 6:15 and it s STILL NOT READY. It took 25 minutes for me to receive our order. The food is always great but how they operate (canceling an order when the customer is already there + the dine in up charge) really is terrible customer service. Also don t say 10 minutes when it s not going to be 10 minutes, it would ve been acceptable if it took 15 but it when your employee says a time to a customer HONOR IT.

We had ordered mutton chops, mutton kadai and garlic naan. The mutton kadai was all capsicum in onion paste gravy, this is not right when they charge almost 18$ . The garlic naan had uncooked raw garlic on top and the chips had a weird masala flavor. We though to try it and may be never again. Updating my review to 4 stars after I had tried ordering in again, the mutton biriyani, chicken lollipop and rasmalai - the food tasted amazing not sure what magic changes happen but kudos to Ista Indian cuisine. Loved the flavors. Keep on, surely a will visit again place now.

I ordered this food on Uber eats, my go to restaurant for Indian food is Delhi 6 and or this small shop next to me. Which serves amazing food, I wanted to try a new place and branch out. I just randomly picked this place. My family and me all thought it was amazing, the garlic nan was amazing. Then everything else I spent around 103 dollars on Uber eats for around 9 things, yes it s was expensive but also it s Uber eats it massively over charges. But honestly really well worth it. I spend that normally at Delhi 6 just for 2 ppl. The small place I spend around 20 dollars for 2 ppl. But still really good i definitely would recommend this place. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options is large, and taste really good, it s more wrapped around vegetables for vegetarian options though. But damn do I say it s good, very good.

They started to have different options and love the buffet. Kids love Tim s Masala, only complaint is that they keep adding chicken to the sauce and it s noticeable. This place was good but I have had better. I noticed that they didn t have enough serving utensils for the buffet set up! We were there early and I thought they were at least going to rectify it as the buffet went on but nope you had to use one utensil for at least 2 different dishes with different sauces!! What happened to their naan? We order regularly from Istha and we like the vegetarian curries. However, since a few months now, their naan has been different. It appears like it is made on a pan and is often undercooked. We have tried different kinds of breads and none like the way it used to be. Its hard to get more okay than this place. One thing that stood out as a positive was they let our entire table use the same coupon on multiple checks, making the lunch buffet and a bottle of water about $16, an okay price. The food was exactly okay, certainly not terrible, but not quite praise worthy. There were an okay number of things on the buffet. The dining experience was undistracting for visiting with friends, but lowered voices for potentially sensitive topics were necessary. Our used plates were collected in a timely manner. Im not recommending against it if you just want an okay lunch with a little variety, but if youre going to treat yourself to lunch out, maybe keep looking.

The most horrible food ever. We arrived at 2:15, the restaurant closes at 3, there were three veggie options - potato bhaji, mix kadai veggies - both almost empty and when served from the kitchen the potatoes in kadai were firm not breakable by fingers and the sever said to push harder!!! paneer butter masala filled 1/5th, the rice was dry. The paneer chilli appetizer was super firm and unchewable paneer on the table and the one from the kitchen! The salad was tiny had bad onions, a separate order of samosas was charged at all carte price but we were asked to get chutneys from the buffet and they had stale filling. All in all, a horrible experience and in food and service. The atmosphere was not pleasant, there were flies on the food, the place was dirty. No owner or manager on site. The employee provided 10% discount on a $100+ dollar check after being asked - we literally had naan, paneer makhani and not fresh rice and a bit of not so great or fresh puri bhaji for the price of a buffet - aren t you going to do anything? and said they will be questioned. If you are a foodie that also values quality and does not want to be told to push potatoes aside and eat zucchini in the Diwanj handi, pick another place. Samosa chaat was stale, Pani puri and Papad were soggy. Fruit custard was not cold and Gulab Jamun were not hot. Adding more after Ista Response: I did not even add the naan issue in the beginning as my focus was on dishes. I am glad she responded and reminded. We were served one naan when we asked for 2nd Naan, server was highly surprised. 2nd nann arrived when we were almost done. I requested if we could carry the remaining peices of naan for our little dog which was refused. That is fair enough and this behavior did not add to our review . But irony is they are lying about serving us naan 4 times, never had any discussion about why did u give butter or plain. so very strange response. In general quality of food is very bad. Kid-friendliness: Their kid mild is definitely not KID friendly. We got dinner for our family and despite of asking if it was spicy for the kids they said no. But it is really spicy! Do not order kid mild or even no spicy because both the chicken curry and the tikamasala are VERY! Spicy. The wife was craving coconut chicken curry so she found ISTA Indian Cuisine. She asked if they had coconut curry and they did not. She also asked if the other chicken options were kid friendly they assured her it was. After she placed an order over the phone I went after work to pick it up. After getting home we sat down to eat dinner and the food was extremely spicy for the wife and kids! So we called and explained our situation and they said they would remake the order. When my wife got there they charged her again she didn t want to fight them even though the lady on the phone said they would remake it for her and they apologized about what happened. When the wife got home the other option they made was Chicken tikka masala and it was just a spicy if not hotter than the first one. In summary: Subpar Indian food! Terrible customer service! Called before arriving around to make sure their buffet is still open. Called around 2 and they said yes buffet is served till 3. The food was so cold and stale. I asked the server if they could bring fresh food since it was still an hour before they closed and they were like we switched the burners off already. Not one thing was even half decent and edible. On top of this there were two servers and only two tables were still eating. They wouldnt even remove the plates. We had plates piled up of bad food who no one came to pick. We have been long time patron of this place. Our last visit is going to be the end of it. We will stop going here because the way owner treat their employees and customer. Owner yelled at the server because she was talking with us and understanding our requirements. i understand restaurants can get busy, but he need to treat his employee right. also he need to remember what prices, package he offer to his customer on phone so that when we come in to restaurant we are not given entirely different prices. I hope he improves his attitude and start treating customer and employees right. Otherwise food is good,service is good. Low ratings because of owners bad attitude.

Went for a buffet on a Saturday. No rush at 12:30pm. Veg Appetizers : Everything was good taste wise however the food was definitely BARELY warm. Not the piping hot temperature you get when you order A La Carte. Veg Entrees : Paneer Methi was 3/5 at best, again not at all hot. Gravy was watery. Dal Makhani was good! 4/5. My wife and I drove 30 minutes to try Ista Indian Restaurant because the Indian restaurants in our area are not very good. It was definitely worth the drive. Our first impression was how neat and clean the restaurant was. Nice decor and Bollywood on the TV; love it. The service was friendly and quick. The Samosa was good. I never had Pakour before, but I loved it at first bite, especially with the Taramind Chutney. I always look for an Indian restaurant that serves Lamb Rogan Josh, and this place is one of the few that serve it. The sauce is just the right level of spicy and creamier than Im used to, but that gave it a nice smooth texture. The lamb was very tender. I always have garlic Naan with it. The rice was cooked perfectly. We left completely stuffed. We will definitely be back soon. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian dishes.

I had been here back before covid and this was my favorite Indian food buffet out of the 5 Ive tried. I went back recently and was fairly disappointed. Several of the main dishes on the buffet were left empty for a while. So when I made my plate they were left off, by the time theynl were replace i was done.I dont remember anything that I did eat standing out as being particularly good. Maybe I hit them on an off day.
