Went in for cheeseburger day for me. Hubby loves the meatloaf plate. Our server was Daniel, he was great,very attentive and up beat personality. We ordered our food was brought out super quick and hot. Daniel had all the condiments, drinks refilled before our food arrived. He checked in on us frequently and offered desserts and refills. We enjoyed our lunch. Thank you Daniel and staff.

My wife and I always enjoy our visits to Aspen Grill. The one disappointment was that the promotion only applied to one of us. Also, the burger on the promotion showed bacon strips. We were informed that there would be an additional charge. Kind of deceiving. Regardless of these setbacks, we will continue to frequent this venue. Thank you.

This place used to be all 5 stars but it has sort of dropped in quality a bit. Last time the Fried mushrooms were fried to dust and super tiny. Last time I got the ribs, the center was cold. Obviously they are pre-cooled so when they warmed them, the outside was hot but inside was cold. It just seems like its losing its zest from when it first opened. Its still very well pric d and the food is still alright but it was just a lot better when it opened years ago.

I want to start this review by saying we frequently eat here a lot, dine-in and take-out, because of the good variety of food that s usually cooked well. Also, the overall service is good and I tend to give the benefit of the doubt on minor inconveniences like occasional slow preparedness times or mistakes with the food. However, the service during recent visits could use some attention. First visits to note (Take-out): it s always a coin flip if an employee will come out for curbside. I m totally okay waiting a bit or walking in myself but if curbside is offered it should be serviced. Now, I understand if the take-out employee is tied up with helping bag the food. But, I ve walked in to receive my food after waiting 10+ min to one employee that was during her math homework (which I m okay with if it s not impeding your work) and one employee that was sitting in the chair chatting with another employee sitting on the floor beside her (different occasions). For our Sunday s dine-in visit, the server lacked enthusiasm and was no where to be found after taking our order. After receiving our food from another server and eating for some time, I saw the our initial server sit down at a booth with food and begin to eat/ be on his phone. Now, I understand everyone should be entitled to a break but it shouldn t be while actively serving customers (or at least not in the public eye). Give up your assigned tables if you need a break. I had to interrupt his break so I can get my check. I also know most of these employees are high school/college students that just need coaching on how to present themselves to properly represent the restaurant.

Diners beware. Ive been in food service a long time and I can tell a nasty place immediately. My full-time job is actually to see these things in my own work place day in and day out. You know people like us go out to eat too, right? Were not all gullible. First sign was a moldy menu. Clearly moldy. Like Im not sure how so many people missed it because thats been there a while. Then they brought silverware that was not only obviously disgusting with paper stuck to it (its required by health code to change dishwasher water every 2 hours and servers should be checking and polishing silverware as they roll it) but the napkin was also covered in white mold spots. So thats a dishwasher or two, a server, and a bartender who all missed the dirty silverware. I checked to see if the napkin mold maybe was powdered sugar, but it wouldnt come off. I sent the menu back with the silverware and a my dude, these are disgusting, and ordered against my better judgement because my husband had been waiting all afternoon to eat. Both our meals came on greasy plates, meaning they were dirty before they had our meals on them. If you touched a bare spot on the plate you could see the smears. Every single lime wedge they brought for our drinks was brown, so we asked for a few in a cup so we could choose our own. Know how else I can tell they are using old limes? They brought them in a bar glass with bottled lime juice poured over them to make them look better (you can tell by the color of the juice), but the problem was that the juice took up 1/3 of the (very dirty) glass. The couple next to us at the bar found *something* in their food and walked their tab. Didnt even drink their beers. The bartender couldnt have cared less the whole night as he was too busy making his own personal drinks and some for his buddies. He didnt even notice until someone else tried to sit there. How do you not notice at the bar if youre right there behind the bar? Thats next level neglect. I dont know how they are getting by day-to-day like this. Edited to add that Ive reported them to the health department.

I just ate here today and I am eager to review this place because I just noticed that I hadnt done so in the past. I got the Southwestern steak sandwich this time and wow it was really REALLY good and highly suggest it if you like steak but dont want to pay steak prices! My second choice would be the Chicken Bacon sandwich and that too is really good as well! The service has been really good and Im glad this place is here because I remember when Johnny Carrinos closed and there was nothing there for years! I ordered the Cajun Catfish which I have had several times in the past. It was too charred and the lobster cream sauce was a dark brown instead of the pink tint I am used to. My sauce had only three shrimp in it and a few mushrooms. The dish was just not what I was used to and tasted overcooked. I also had the sidekick of Sriracha Ribs which was very tasty. I ordered the Neon margarita which I did not like. It tasted a bit salty and bitter although the ingredients listed peach schnapps, orange and pineapple juice which should have given it a sweeter taste. So overall this visit was a miss. As far as the atmosphere goes, we were seated at the last booth next to the kitchen entrance with swinging doors. Very distracting. Parking: Never had an issue finding parking

Ive been here twice now and my only complaint would be the noise level. But it wasnt anything beyond what you would expect at a restaurant similar to Applebees or Chilis. The first time was for apps and dessert. The Pow Wow Shrimp was amazing! I also had the Fried Mushrooms, which are pretty much a staple anywhere I go. I was expecting average. They were not. They were fantastic, especially with the peppercorn ranch! For dessert it had to be the Fried Cheesecake. I have never had anything like it. The inside was warm and creamy. The outside crispy with just the right amount of cinnamon. The ice cream melting on top provided a superior contrast! The second time was for dinner. I had the Classic Cheeseburger. Two 1/4 lb patties? Yes please! It was delicious and the fries were on point! But then it could have been the company! It was a fantastic first date with an amazing woman! The booth seat was torn. The steak was cooked as requested but was too heavy on the salt. The mushrooms had enough garlic to kill a vampire. The mac and cheese was yellow but tasted like bland noodles. My wifes Monty Christo sandwich tasted like grease, and her frys were limp. Its not often that I dont finish anything on my plate. Well, this is gonna come on strong. I was gonna be nice and search out the owner on LinkedIn but then I had to buy some subscription to contact him and then even when I did, it said I had used up all my messages for the month, so I m a little ticked now. To the real issue. Went into Aspen Creek, my parents order from here all the time for the pan seared salmon and I m not gonna lie, It is fantastic. This is my second time just visiting the bar. First time was awesome. Tonight, not so much. First, bartender watched me as I pulled out a blonde out of my mouth when I used my finger to lick the salt from the rim. I am a red head, no doubt. Now he did do the right thing and poured out the drink and made me another one, but I was charged for it. Second, I had to turn to a server behind me that was waiting on drinks at the well and ask him to kill a roach that was climbing up the wall. I did do this privately because I didn t want to cause a scene. I told him thank you . He replied, no thank you . to me it wasn t a big deal originally. Things happen in the restaurant industry I understand. It wasn t until I hit the trifecta that all the others became a problem. So upon leaving I put in an order of grilled mushrooms to go. I ve ordered them before and they have been awesome. Totally love them. Tonight, not so much. The lid on the ranch was held under the heat lamp or heated up so long that it melted and even though I put in a special bag to keep it level it melted all the way through the container and ranch was everywhere. Usually, this wouldn t be a problem because I love ranch. However, I don t know if it s because I ordered them 10 minutes before they close or if the oil was old but they were burnt. And to be honest, I was given crumbs of batter. Maybe a few mushrooms but the rest was like ordering from Long, John Silver and only getting crispies. I couldn t even find a mushroom till maybe , try number five. I ve taken pictures just in case anybody thinks I m being a Karen or over exaggerating. I called up to the store at 10:08 and someone finally answered. I explained I had just ordered and left and I had an issue with my food and I d like to tell somebody about it. Someoy informed me it would be impossible to speak to anyone in charge because they were closed. However, again being a GM of another restaurant establishment, I know they are in the back checking out servers. They should ve taken my call or this wouldn t be as long as it is. Not their fault, I ll give them that. Either way, I ll go back because I like the atmosphere and I like the people that work there. However, train your people. If you re a GM or manager and you are in the building don t ever refuse to take a call. Poor customer service. Now I m gonna wait till tomorrow and call up there again as I was told to do by whoever answered the phone. However, now I m ticked. I have food I can t eat, I had alcohol that hair in it and I had to ask to ask a server to kill a bug. No manager came to me about either of these issues. I let it go, because again I try my best not to be a Karen when I go into other restaurants. However, I m just gonna put it out there. If you re looking for a GM, a bar manager or a front of house manager. I might be interested. I think I could help. I have a stellar record. We are in San Antonio for my birthday weekend and we wanted to go to a restaurant that we dont have near where we live. We decided on Aspen Crek because the online menu looked good without being too pricey. We were pleasantly surprised! Our server, Julie was helpful, prompt and attentive. We witnessed the manager, Steve, handle a rude customer with courtesy and grace - and we were very impressed. The food was spectacular. We started with chips and queso and added a bowl of their house-made salsa - delicious. I ordered the Monday night special: 8 ounce sirloin for $11.99 - what a bargain! I topped it with the blue cheese crust, which was a generous portion and a mild flavor that complemented my steak so well. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare - I have never had a steak cooked so perfectly at a restaurant, no matter the cost. It was the perfect doneness, so juicy and so tender I could literally cut it with a fork. For my two sides I chose the off the cob elotes and the green Chile grits - both were so flavorful and delicious. And since it was my birthday, but we were already stuffed, we got a dessert to go. We ordered the fried cheesecake. When we got back to our air b&b and opened the to go box we were pleasantly surprised to see that there were two slices per order, individually battered and fried. They were so decadent! Typically it is topped with ice cream, but they thoughtfully put ours in a separate container so that it wouldnt melt against the warm cheesecakes. Well enjoy the ice cream later. We had a fabulous experience and found out there is a location about 45 minutes from where we live - totally worth the drive!

We were greeted twice upon entry and the staff immediately took care of us at the bar. Drinks were great, the chili was alright, but their wings with the black diamond hot sauce is one of the best wings Ive ever tasted. My husbands meal was the meat loaf and mine was the Cajun catfish, both dishes were amazing! We ended our night with their brownie and icecream which hit the spot. I would honestly come back again to try other dishes and special drinks. Our bartender/server was so nice and did more than enough for his service

Dined here a couple weeks ago. We ve been wanting to go back! We ordered the angry bison burger and the catfish plate. Good showed up quickly and was incredible. The servicing was very attentive. Our waiter was Conner, the one with the wolf keychain. Will be dining here again in the future. Great job!

I found this place by pure accident. The food is awesome. The service and staff are great. They take really good care of your needs and wants. We get the Pow Pow Shrimp appetizer every time we go there. If you go on Thursday, you can get a 16 oz, Ribye, and pay the same as a 12 oz, ribye. I would recommend Aspen Creek Grill to anyone who wants a great evening. Parking: There is plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of handicap parking.

Sometimes theres no one coming over to see if you need anything like refills. Ask for napkins and they give you 2 or 3 small napkins that cant even do anything.

What a GREAT place for date night! The food was delicious and the service was very nice. Overall the prices are pretty reasonable, I didnt feel like I was overpaying for what we got. The atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome and I highly recommend the fried cheesecake!

Stopped here out of the blue for a lunch on Saturday. Wasnt too busy, but the service could not have been better. Our waitress even asked if I was military or veteran so she could give me a discount. I usually dont ask for it, but I really really enjoy the places that actively ask. The habanero burger was really good, but hotter than I thought it was going to be. Id definitely order it again

Ive been here twice. The first time your food was amazing no complaints. I went today and omg the food and atmosphere was horrible. First table we sat at had a very loud bunch next to us. They cussed.every sentence and loud. Now I understand you cant control the environment but as a host I would think since I have a 2 month old that she would put us in a better section especially if I specifically said to do so. We eventually moved to a different section half way into UT. Now the food, I got a salad and it tastes like soap. Also ordered a chili asked them to reheat and it took 15 min to do that. When they bring it out it is burn your mouth hot like if they left it too long in the microwave and put a bunch of cheese to make up for it. Couldnt eat it for like 7 min. All the chesses cluttered up which made nasty to even try and eat. All around horrible experience the 2nd time around

Food: The steak and burger were ordered. Absolutely enjoyed and both main dishes were very enjoyable. Sides: Baked potato and Mac and cheese. Potato was good and you can load it. Mac and cheese is not thick, more on the lighter watery side. Service was great and constantly checked on the table. Atmosphere, dim, rustic, but somehow lively because it does fill with people.

My daughter suggested Aspen Creek Grill for our monthly get together. This was a great suggestion because the whole ordeal was AWESOME. Our waitress was excellent from the initial greeting to the very end. The food was good but not as hot as I would have liked it, but the place was busy. We will definitely be returning to try the other items that you offer. Our brownies with hot fudge and ice cream was 5 s. The service we received was what makes me want to go back. Our waitress was a blonde lady with really cool tattoos on her arms and fingers. Sorry I cant remember her name, but Im sure you know who Im talking about. She told us we were really cool people to serve and connected with us very well. We even had a whoopsi with a whole glass of water spilling all over the place. I have never seen a crew so attentive to cleaning up the spill with no bad faces or bad vibes. Kuddos to your CREW.

Food is really good. Have been many times and tried different plates. Their spinach artichoke dip is really good. The staff is always really friendly. Hannah the host there is so sweet and nice. Adam the manger is always so nice and comes and says hi and makes sure everything is always good. Steve the owner is great and always making sure everything is great as well. My girls love their brownies and ice cream as well. A nice family restaurant to try out :)
