I try not to leave negative reviews, but I have to be honest. The coffee is not great. The espresso machine looks unmaintained and I see the shots going bad as they sit for an extended time. Ive frequently seen the porta-filters remain in the machine without being cleaned (same as the steaming wand). Theres also a REALLY bad smell in the building, its been there for years but has gotten much worse lately. Ive gone with a group on multiple occasions this year, and we all wanted to exit as quickly as possible. Whats happening?

This used to be one of my favorite coffee shops to go to but today made me not want to go again. I Kindly asked the guy working to change the music he was playing asking if it was okay, he then proceeded to ignore me, grab his phone and change the music. I stood there waiting for a response to which he said mhhhm . Later I overheard him talking about the situation to a customer which made me very uncomfortable. Moral of the story: don t ask for a music change, because they will not like that.

I hate having to leave a negative review, but honestly, I dont know what else to do. I swung by around noon, craving a cappuccino Im a huge fan of them, especially the ones at Mochas and Javas or Starbucks. Unfortunately, this particular one was just terrible. I even questioned if they got the ingredients mixed up. The first sip was enough to make me cringe. Im not quick to judge, so I gave it another chance after a few minutes. Same result blechh! I probably shouldve asked for a refund, but I decided to take the hit on the five bucks. Definitely wont be heading back there. Its a pity because it looks like a decent spot. This was my second visit, and even the first time with a regular drip coffee wasnt exactly impressive.

Best cold brew (Kettlecorn Cold Brew) Ive ever had! I drink my coffee black (sometimes with cold foam) and the coffee was extremely smooth/flavorful!!! 10/10. I am always trying new coffee places, but I think I will make this one my regular! It was very clean inside and parking wasnt too hard to grab. Good amount of tables inside and outside. Not too loud, either! The barista was very nice and helpful!

Barista yesterday with red hair was extremely rude and off putting. I simply asked what the peanut butter and caramel latte had in it (as in is it real peanut butter or a syrup and is the caramel a flavoring or a syrup as I have a dairy allergy). Their response it says it on the sign. Peanut butter and Caramel. I won t be back for mediocre coffee. Steller down the street is much better and has a nicer more welcoming atomsphere.

At 5pm Sunday we walked in for a coffee and pastry. Asked the barista is they had any dark roast, and she said no, because they were closing in an hour Ok, how about a regular coffee. No, they weren t making anymore drip coffee because again, they were closing in an hour . Really? A coffee shop that stops making coffee an hour before closing. So settled for a scone that ended up being soggy and under cooked. Went up the street to another shop that hadn t quite given up for the day even though they were closing in 45 minutes, and had a nice cup of coffee.

Great cup of coffee and I only ordered a croissant & the selection was picked over by the time I got there. So that was what was left basically but good little snack with a great cup of coffee, a Cafe, latte with foam brewed while I sat outside enjoying my morning with my feet up and just relaxing and smoking a few and some water which they provided in a ice cold pitcher of water. Very refreshing. Lots of different publications to read and even books if wanted to read for a while. Good sized restaurant little Cafe style tables that needs a screw driver but thats OK old tables I guess?. Parking: Parking on the town square basically with businesses all around the town, and a huge Texas court house in the middle of the town. Parking was plenty but 2 hours limited or risk a ticket not being towed your parked illegal, for example, however extreme caution backing up from the parking space as traffic is write behind you. Very convenient.

I enjoy supporting the local coffee/tea scene here. They have a great white lotus with some honey and their last air bender advertisement has been really neat! Visited this cute little shop today for the first time since moving to Texas! (San Marcos) I really love this area, and the vibe of this coffee shop was so adorable! I had a super yummy chai latte with almond milk and a gluten free blueberry muffin and they were both so good. This has to me my favorite coffee shops in San Marcos. Located at the heart of the historic downtown is this gem of a coffee shop with a blend of modern and old coffee table and bit of a dark themed cafe. The decor is very nice and clean with ample seating arrangement. The batista was very sweet and greeted with a warm welcome. She served very quickly and we realised she worked very hard. Definitely deserves a 5 star for hard work and nice coffee making! The mocha was out of the world and would recommend everyone to try it out!

First time here, but I love this cute little shop! It has weathered hard floors that give it a cozy vibe along with a hard wood ceiling. They look recycled. There is a small bar that outlooks the hustling streets of the Square at San Marcos. Lots of natural light and there are old style lightbulbs that give a nice glow to the shop. Comfy couches and outlets to study at while charging your devices. One of my favorite parts is the self-serve coffee additions bar for you to add your own touch to your beverages or sweets. On the left side walking in is a stone wall which helps keep the room from getting too warm along with a humidifier. The employees are fast and attentive and the drinks are unique. Love the different syrups they have. Had the Valentine Special Rosetta w/ almond and rose syrup. Delicious ( ) The only issue I have is the floors are a bit uneven and shakes when someone passes by. When you visit, make sure to be careful if you are wearing heels! They have tables outside if you wanna soak in the sun and every now and then you can be blessed by a doggie running by for its sensory training.

They require masks. It is against the law in Texas to require me a US citizen, a Texas citizen to wear a mask. I told them no thank you it is my right to not wear one. They said we require it and pushed the mask toward me. I left. Y all if you support places that require you to wear a mask. Just an average coffee house. Went in the late afternoon. It was super warm inside, with direct sunlight glowing into my eyes. Much better place before noon. Too hot in the summer evenings.

The staff is super friendly. What I liked was they are taking strict precautions during this Covid 19 pandemic. They have a table outside and you have to order on the phone or they come outside to take the order. Love their coffee as well!

amazing baristas and coffee!!!! all of the baristas are SO nice and amazing and helpful. The coffee is organic, locally sourced, and prepared with attention to detail. They also do amazing latte art. They are women-led / gender neutral bathrooms / and even give puppachinos if you bring your dog! Definitely worth stopping by.

Lets just appreciate that this place offers certified organic coffee which is so rare to find a place. Many people that have issues drinking coffee can tolerate organic coffee or organic decaff. On top of that, the coffee is a local roaster and delicous plus service is kind and prompt. 5 Stars, dont support starbuck$$$ support your local roaster & coffee shops--better coffee and service and doesnt make some greedy fatcat richer.

My favorite place in San Marcos! Staff is very friendly and the place is very nice! Great for reading a book or working on some homework Coffee and food is great. My favorite drink is actually invented by one of their employees! If you ever feel like trying something new, ask for a dirty chai with coconout milk!

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Theres always nice ambient music playing, low enough that you can still have a conversation but loud enough to enjoy. Plenty of seating...chairs and tables, sofas and oversized chairs, a couple of barstools, even outside seating. The food looks tasty, but Ive only gotten coffee.

Enjoyed being in this coffee bar. My son and I ordered a vanilla lattes and they tasted great. Staff was friendly. Service was great. Iwill return to the The Coffee Bar soon. I loved the aviance.

The chai and especially the lavender chai are great drinks. Today I decided to branch out and try the London Fog. I was in a small group, ordered first and then was immediately forgotten. After my group had been served plus three other people who wandered in they finally realized I was still waiting on a drink. When I started checking in after they kept serving other drinks they replied with Its going to take a while to make... You should have made it first then, ladies. Thank goodness I got the regular size because it turned out to be a very sub-par drink due to the rush job they had to go through in steeping the tea.
