Wow wow wow! I havent had a meal this good in a long time! I wasnt expecting much for the food because its a brewery but was blown away by the scratch kitchen with in house made breads and sauces. Really a hidden food gem of Farmers Branch. Just wish they served lunch and happy hour ;) Kid-friendliness: Easy patio and Joya park is nearby!

The serves and workers at the establishment were all so kind and friendly. I really enjoyed my service from these guys. I hate that my rating isn t based solely off my dining experience alone. The food did cause me to fall ill. I had the Cajun shrimp risotto which was mushy and the seasoning on the shrimp tasted charred. I also ordered the bourbon ribs which is limited as a restaurant special. Not very flavorful, my meat seemed a little underdone and has a funny smell to it. The sides were not favorable either. I also order Texas twinkies which were a bit sloppy and ok in flavor in my opinion. Not saying I would or wouldn t go back but I do feel I wasted $76 this go round. Hopefully things are better in the future.

Tried this place for the first time. We enjoyed a few cocktails and a nice meal. The customer service was great and we will definitely return. We tried their Cajun Shrimp Risotto and it was delicious just way too greasy., we could see the puddle of grease and that made it a little hard to enjoy. Other than that we definitely plan to try some of their other dishes.

The wagyu burger was terrible. You could tell that is was frozen. It had a freezer burn taste. It was very salty , dry, and bland. I really wanted to send it back It is not worth $16.00 at all. I should have went to Wendys or In-N-Out. It should have been (-3) Stars.

After a 60 mile bike ride the Hop Chicken dinner would be great to replace my salt intake. There was so much salt in my chicken and veggies it was unhealthy. All I could tolerate was eating half my dinner. This meal totally defeats the purpose of eating healthy. My wifes salmon was good, her risotto was a little salty from what she said. The restaurant put more effort and space into the decor/barrels and brewery than patron seating. Others seemed to enjoy there food. It was our first and last time there.

The service was very nice from the moment I walked in to sitting down at the bar, since I am only one person I didnt want to take a table during a busy time. Not a big beer drinker, I know its a brewery, dont come at me! I went for the food. I had the brussel sprouts for appetizer which were delicious. Not your typical balsamic maple syrup glaze...these were savory and delicious. Highly recommend! For the entree I had the shrimp risotto. OMG! Words cant describe how delicious it is! Excellent food. Four stars on thr atmosphere because the TV at the bar at a political channel, not typical bar entertainment especially on a Friday evening and the restaurant is loud. Recommend a reservation because I barely squeezed in at 6:30ish.

From the moment we entered the door the atmosphere was very inviting and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The old-timey feel mixed with the modern look is a great setting. Wait time was brief and our server, Jose was very professional. He provided excellent service all the way through. The portion size of the shareable plates was perfect and there was even enough to take home if wanted. I would absolutely recommend this as a great lunch spot. They also offer brunch and their menu is phenomenal. We had the Brussel sprouts and fried pickles as appetizers. The Brussel sprouts were amazingly flavorful and juicy. The fried pickles were spears instead of the traditional pickle chips and the batter was so crispy and fresh. Cajun Shrimp Risotto was my entree choice and it did not disappoint. The creamy risotto dusted with Parmesan cheese topping and the perfect amount of spice on the shrimp made the meal the perfect touch to my experience. Even the water is WONDERFUL, so fresh and crisp. 10/10 definitely recommend!! Vegetarian options: A few great salad options also the risotto comes with spinach and those who prefer could gave the shrimp omitted from the dish. Dietary restrictions: They have many gluten free options.

Looking for a fun place with interesting drinks to try out, beers to sample, and a good time to be had? This is the place. I visited Bankhead Brewpub on a Friday afternoon with some co-workers. We had a great time! The service was friendly, and available when we needed them. If you are interested in some unusual cocktails, this place has them. The menu offers a 1927 Old Fashioned, the Hydraulion, the Tin Lizzie, and so much more. The Blinker Fluid was recommended, and I have to say, the combination of Bacardi, cream of coconut, pineapple, citrus and angostura bitters made a great drink! Now, let me say, this is a brewpub, so they have a healthy list of beers with fun names you might want to explore. The good news, the staff was ready and able to answer any and all questions about the various beers (or cocktails) we had. We werent there for food, so I cant comment on their menu, but I did see some offerings Im going to try out on my next visit. I definitely recommend the Bankhead Brewpub!

Oh my! It s been two weeks since I ve left Texas and I can t get this meal off my mind Found this place by reading Google reviews and glad I stopped in to check it out. As soon as you walk in to the right is the hostess table and your seated. Our server was happy to help and offer suggestions on drinks and appetizers. We decided to try the fried pickles and they did not disappoint. The sauce that was served with it was so good and the breading on the pickles were crunchy! The entree s were even better! I had the Cajun Shrimp and I loved how it came out piping hot and had a bit of a kick Lobster Mac was equally as tasty and I definitely recommend those two if your a seafood fan. Flavors, freshness and texture were on point. Drinks were Top Notch ! We got the last of the Bourbon Pecan Pie and although I wanted to like it I just couldn t taste a flavor of Bourbon just crust, sugar and pecans. I loved the attention to detail of the tableware that was being used. Seating was comfortable and it wasn t too busy. A lil music won t hurt it was too quiet amongst the slight jeers from people watching the basketball game. You be the judge but I m telling you the food is phenomenal

Great new brewpub to check out eith wide range of beers with interesting ingredients, I enjoyed the stouts and beer made from basmati rice. The taco pizza and Tikka Poutine were great if your not averse to dairy. Parking can be tight if you got a big vehicle. Dont let the Brewpub in the name fool you, the food is absolutely amazing (definitely better than traditional pub fare). We had the Brussels (by far the best Ive had at any restaurant), fried pickles, and the Chicken Fried Steak. All excellent. Cant wait to go back and try the Pork Chop, the pizzas and the salads. And the beers are very, very good as well as reasonably priced. Service was excellent - super friendly folks and very attentive. Very happy to have Bankhead now in Farmers Branch, will be one of our go-to restaurants going forward.

My ONLY complaint is the lack of baby changing table. Steve was phenomenally welcoming and gracious. He made sure that everything was amazing. Our server Alora was also fantastic. There was no point during the night where we lacked anything. Our water was filled at all times. Dirty dishes were cleared immediately. Any request I had, she worked on right away. I am never this generous in giving 5 star reviews but this evening definitely deserved one. The banana pudding was one of THE best we ve ever had. We consider ourselves banana pudding connoisseurs and THIS banana pudding was the cherry on top of a fabulous evening!

This is a really nice restaurant and brewery. They have plenty of bar seating, indoor and outdoor seating and a very showy atmosphere. You can tell someone put a lot of money towards the little things in this building. I really enjoyed my Reuben and fries! Im assuming this is a fairly new establishment because many of the beers tasted like they were still in the phases of testing- not quite finished with the flavors they were trying to accomplish. Also, they were either low on front of house staff or needed people to care more about their job. Our waiter was cool, calm and collected but seemed overwhelmed and not communicated with by his coworkers.

Great renovation of the place! Much more inviting than the last brewery. The beer was delicious and the service was great!! I was not impressed with the food we got. We ordered the nachos and the cheese was water consistency on the bottom of the plate and wasn t on any of the chips and the dish was cold. Will be back to try more food probably 1 more time incase it was a fluke, but was disappointed in nachos. **Update March 2024** We have now been back two more times and I can say the food has been phenomenal!! The fried pickles are the best I ve ever had, and the salmon and half chicken are absolutely delicious. I always get an extra side of broccolini too, they cook it to perfection! A lot of detail and nuance was taken into consideration to make this appear to be a cozy and simple little brewpub. The chairs glide noiselessly on the floor. The four-ounce sampler size beers are perfect for trying or for those people such as myself that just need a few sips. The larger beers are, of course, available and appealing. Just a touch of steampunk decor can be found in the bar stools and restroom appliances. Cozy and comfy with some pumpin music and attentive staff. All good stuff. Come in and enjoy brunch or lunch or a snack. It s all good.

First time trying this place however we will not be returning. The service was terrible . The waitress was so ready to leave , she started trying to close us out at 9:30pm. We felt extremely rushed. Honestly, if you are just trying to have a chill night go anywhere else. Apparently something closes at 10:30pm so waitresses are trying to leave by 10pm when the location states they close at 11pm! I just visited this evening with my wife. The decor, atmosphere and food were all incredible. Incredible. I really love the ability to sample a bunch of different beers. The croquettes were crunchy and tangy, the burger was massive and extremely well balanced, the truffle fries were both crispy and full of flavor. First time there last night, February 15th. Went to the bar with my two friends sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. We left after 15 minutes of no greeting from the bartender. No hello I ll be right with you, nada. He even stopped right in front of us and still didn t say anything. So I can t tell you about the beer or food because we were never served. I enjoyed my visit here. The Carnivore of Love was very good (but if you dont like greasy pizza, beware). Several people took care of me, and all of them were attentive. They have a fair number of beers on tap. Right now, their list is more lager/ale/IPA heavy. I only knocked off a star because they didnt have any of my personal favorite beer styles on draft (I have five or so that I gravitate towards). What they have were solid, but just not to my personal taste. Therefore, I cant give 5 stars since I didnt absolutely love anything I tried. That being said, I was told that they have a nitro stout and sour in the works that should both be released soon. As I love both of those styles, I may change my review after my next visit. I will definitely be returning.

I didnt want to write this review, but I think its important for the establishment to know where it can grow. I eat here at least once a week, mainly ordering to-go food. Ive experienced quite a few inconsistencies since the Farmers Branch location opened. Lately, the pizza has been my primary source of disappointment. Today, my pie was undercooked, with the crust being way too soft and the cheese being a glob of mess. Aside from the pizza, for a place prided on a chef-driven kitchen, there should be more focus on getting the little things right. Every time I ask a server or a bartender to order the dessert special, I m informed there isnt one yet.

This was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! We were struggling to find a good place to eat for date night, and after finally deciding on trying someplace new, I m glad we decided on coming here. Michael was our server and did an amazing job overall! The food was amazing and far better than we expected. We will certainly be coming back!

Great food and service! Cozy, comfy atmosphere. My Go Green Pizza was perfect - thin, crispy crust topped with brussels sprouts, artichokes, pesto, tomatoes, garlic, mozzarella. My teenage grandson had the massive wagyu beef classic burger with truffle fries; he can be rather particular about the quality of food or its preparation, but he ate every bite and said both the burger and fries were very good. Our server was attentive and super friendly. Oh, and its in a fabulous location: About a 2-3 minute walk to the awesome community theatre, Firehouse Theatre; The Grove, where musical, holiday, and other events are held; several unique parks; even the DART station. Ill definitely return.

10/10 will go again! The drinks were great - we had both beer and cocktails, all were delicious. Loved the pretzel, it easily fed 4, and all our mains were very tasty. Everything was decently priced for what we got. The atmosphere was nice, very chic, and our service was good. There were a couple times where our drinks were empty, but overall it was a great experience and we ll definitely come back.

We visited the brewery on the day of the grand opening and despite our excitement, we were disappointed. The service was slow and a bit disorganized (waiters couldnt tell who ordered what). The food was OK. We give them the benefit of the doubt. However, there were no grand opening offerings except the regular food/drink menu. Usually, for Grand Openings, one would have giveaways, games and more entertainment stuff. None of that was present. In conclusion, not very impressed but will give it another chance!

I had the bitchacho brisket nachos and they were absolutely delicious. I also had their hefeweizen which was equally great. The bartender was very attentive and personable. Atmosphere was fun and casual. Everything on the menu looked amazing. We definitely plan to come back and try something new.

the farmers branch location looks astounding! from the view of the outside, top/bottom patio to the inside is such a vibe... the food looks and smells so flavorful! such a great place to come and have lunch/dinner also the brewery is like nothing youve seen before.. lots of beer to go around. my favorite is the Mexican Lager flavors and aromas of corn, toasted tortilla and white pepper. its a must try! and shout out to Rook for the great bartendering service. The food, beer, and ambiance is absolutely wonderful. Matthew, our server was attentive and engaging with a great personality. Corey, the GM, introduced himself at the beginning of our meal, really nice guy and personable. Of course, while eating the BLTA Dip (Yum!), I dropped a piece of my bread and made a mess on the floor. I offered to clean it up, but Corey came to the rescue to sweep up my mess. You never see a General Manager cleaning up spills in this industry, and it speaks volumes about the company s values in hiring. BankHead BrewPub is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood, we will definitely be back.

WOULD RECOMMEND! A great meeting place for you to go with your friends and family. Super yummy food. Personally we liked the pretzels, which is a shared meal (appetizer) that comes with beer cheese and spicy mustard. Super yummy and amazing quality. Overall I had no food that disappointed. I really enjoyed this place. The ambience here is very cozy, rustic, vintage and takes you back in time. To top it off the food was just unique and phenomenal. I really loved the risotto, curry pizza , brisket topped cheese fries. Also tried their beer flight, gussy up, buddhas mantra, Sherpa was some of my favs. I will definitely come back with more of my folks to have that great experience again!
