Exotic Grill African Cuisine is a hidden gem that offers not only delicious and authentic African dishes but also an unforgettable experience thanks to the incredible hospitality of Marie and her son, Jordy. From the moment you walk in, you re treated like family. Marie s warm smile and Jordy s friendly demeanor make you feel right at home. The food? Simply divine! Each dish bursts with rich flavors that transport you to the heart of Africa. Whether you re enjoying the tender, flavorful meats or the vibrant, aromatic spices, you can taste the care and tradition behind every meal. But what truly sets this place apart is the personal touch. Marie and Jordy go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is perfect. They take the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and check in frequently, all while making you feel like a cherished guest. Exotic Grill is more than just a restaurant it s a place where hospitality and heart come together to create something special. I can t recommend it enough!

This was my first time trying African cuisine, and the beautiful lady who took my order recommended goat sauce and fufu. I also added samosa. All the food came out hot and fresh, and somehow it tasted like home -- very delicious food. The restaurant itself was very clean. I will be coming back soon to try their other dishes.

Walked into an empty establishment with an employee laying on a couch. She didnt acknowledge us until we asked if we were at the right location. We sat and glanced at the menu while overhearing a loud phone conversation by the same Employee. By that time we didnt like the atmosphere nor the service and decided to go elsewhere. We took the menus back to the employee with an attempt to explain we were leaving, but still she remained on the phone and didnt even acknowledge us as we returned the menus.

I visited this place with my husband and loved it! Maria was really nice and the gentleman who ushered us to our seats. Food was delicious and fairly priced. We were told they cook the food fresh and for sure we were not disappointed. I ordered ugali with goat stew and spinach and my husband ordered oxtail with jollof rice. We left happy customers. Food is not spicy but it is aromatic with perfect seasonings. If you want spicy, they will give you the spice on the side to season it to your liking. I highly recommend this place. We are definitely coming back when we are in this area of town.

But the guy will freak out if you challenge him. choose somewhere else! Not worth it!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at ExoticGrill African Restaurant, and it was a truly delicious experience. The grilled goat cheese was exceptional, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Paired with the fragrant rice and vibrant vegetables, each bite was a celebration of flavors. The fried plantain added a delicious touch of sweetness to the meal, with that necessary crunch. The restaurant also impressed with its varied selection of drinks, providing the perfect complement to the tasty dishes. I highly recommend this establishment for an authentic and delicious experience of African cuisine.

Black American girl here who is not very educated on Congolese cuisine.. went to this restaurant in pursuit to be pleased with different food flavors, textures etc. after extensively researching online via exoticafricangrill website and YouTube I happily drove there only to be disappointed by being OVERCHARGED.. $53 for small portion of 1)goat stew 1)yam fufu and 1) egusi no meat I felt something was wrong but I kept silent I placed an order another day and she attempts to do it again this day I quoted her the prices I see ON HER MENU IN STORE and online and she changed it as I was walking out she was humming songs I m sure in embarrassment morale of this story is IF YOU ARE NOT OF CONGOLESE DECENT be careful here.. they are not genuine they shouldn t want to get over on people like this now they lost a customer who would ve spread the good news about the foods from this place Shame

This restaurant did not have good customer service. I ordered goat meat stew over the phone and I was told a wait time of 30 minutes. I got there a little after the time. The guy who was taking the orders took the guy order in front of me then he cashed out a guys order that walked up on the right side of me. He then walked to the back I guess to take the order to the cook and walked back out never once saying anything to me. He grabbed 2 plates of food out the refrigerator and a drink and left leaving me standing there. I waited for about 10 minutes then I walked outside to my car to call from my cellphone for the same person to answer to act like she didn t remember me ordering over 30 plus minutes ago. I explained to her I m here and I was just standing in the front. Then she goes ok I m coming. At this point I get out my car and go back inside then she walks out and states give her a minute and I waited then she came out with the food. She then rung my order up asked me did I need a fork I stated yes. Only to get home and open the bag and there s no fork. Never again will I go to this restaurant and the goat stew wasn t even good.

Great place to get good exotic food. I never even knew fufu existed, but it is now staying in my life forever. I just hope that other fufu(s) are just as good as theirs. The waiter, Danny, was very helpful as I obviously don t eat African food all the time. I sampled a bunch of different foods and beverages, and I really had to give real recommendations for the tilapia. The skin is seasoned very nicely, and the paste (I don t know what it is) in the middle had a great flavor. A surprise knockout is the onions that are grilled with a majority of their dishes I have not had a more perfect blend of caramelization and good onion flavor. Odd thing to be excited about, but I have to say something. The sauce that the goat comes in is also worth the try. Samusas were great, and the stuff you dip the fufu in was unique with hard to describe (but good) flavors that should at least be tried by anyone looking for something different as my daughter did on these very reviews last night. Atmosphere seems authentic as I don t have reference. Place is a 4.5, but I ll bump it to a 5 for them being very welcoming people. Vegetarian options: Many dishes that didn t have meat that were delicious and with variety.

The floors are nasty. The walls are nasty. The sink is nasty. The dining area is nasty. The tables are nasty. I had the get sanitizer to clean my own table. There were brooms and other objects blocking the walkway. Every little area including work areas were cluttered. I felt so icky. Lets not even get on that unsanitary kitchen. Omg. I saw chopped vegetables sitting in tubs on the FLOOR! Dirty pots everywhere. None of the food was covered. I even saw a huge bowl of the salsa just sitting out open on one of the tables. Just nasty. I can only imagine whats happening deep in that kitchen. The prices are also over priced. It seems there menu is a la carte. So they dont have meals. You order separately and its gets pricey that way. Im pretty sure they set it up like that to make more money. Ive spent $400 on a meals for 2 and was satisfied because of the service and the experience. This place is not worth it! Ive eaten there a few times but this time Ive just had it with the nastiness. And this time I felt sick when I left. The hot pepper sauce tasted old/sour. Something was off. Im giving them no more chances. Im convinced this just a triflin business. If the owners are reading this: CLEAN THIS PLACE UP! IT IS COMPLETELY UNSANITARY. Stop putting us at risk for food poison and other bacteria due to being careless and lazy. Get up out your bed and go clean that bathroom and mop those floors real good. Clear the walkway! Organize that kitchen and make room for your prep area and storage. You can do better so DO IT!Before somebody calls the code. Have some respect for yourself. Have some respect for your business. Have some respect for your customers. If Im going to restaurant and spending $60 - $80 of my hard earned money to support your business then show me some appreciation by creating a comfortable and clean environment. And Im sure I speak for all of your customers; Thank you in advance

I was at the restaurant for dinner, I ordered to go. Just expensive for nothing. I ordered Jolof rice, plantation and goat meat stew. The goat stew was too watery and the color of Jolof rice was uncomfortable. I will not stop by again. The pepper sauce was good and hot.

I really wanted to like this restaurant, honestly. The pondu( cassava leaves ) was so bad! No seasoning whatsoever, the kamundele ( beef kebabs) were not fresh AT ALL. They just put the kebabs in the microwave and then made the sauce fresh when and put it on top of the kebabs to make it seem like they made them fresh. I mean what s going on? The red snapper had little to no seasoning , the spinach was the most disgusting out of all the food I ordered. I m so disappointed. This is such a poor representation of Congolese cuisine. Cest pas possible. Nako yaka lisusu te.
