our tour guy was honestly so amazing she helped us navigate through the night. It was such a beautiful tour. I would recommend to do it either day or night at night with neon lights and it was honestly such a fun experience. I learned so many facts about it, and it was honestly just such an amazing thing to experience And you guys should totally check this place out we went to the one in San Marcos. Thanks, Get Up and Go! We had a great time on our night kayaking tour! Our guide was Jake and he did a fantastic job of spotting lots of wildlife and sharing tidbits about San Marcos and the river. Although I ve lived in the area for more than 20 years and have spent a lot of time in the San Marcos river, it was so fun to experience it at night on a clear kayak with neon flashing lights. We did the 8:30 trip and really enjoyed getting to experience the sunset and then kayak back when it was completely dark. Felt like being on two different rivers. First time hiking and it was a breeze. Leah did an amazing job pointing out all the wildlife, including the bats that were about to take flight, as well as giving pointers on kayaking. Would definitely recommend!

What a great experience with this tour! And we learned a few interesting things about the river in San Marcos, too, which is very cool. Jake is a terrific guide: clearly explained everything we needed to know like how to get in and out of the boat, tour policies and safety guidelines, and river etiquette. It was so cool to be on the river at night in clear boats that light up because you could see not just the river bottom and rocks, but also a fish and turtles! Jake would shine his flashlight on the banks to point out herons and raccoons! And you get some exercise too!! We are novice kayakers and really enjoyed our guides river tour. Highly recommend

My daughter and I enjoyed the nighttime glowing kayak tour. Michael was a great guide. You can see all the way to the bottom of the river, although this time of year some parts of the river downstream were a little murky because of all the swimmers stirring up the sediment but we still saw beavers, raccoons, birds and a snapping turtle. It s a cool adventure. You should try it out.

Even after a weather delay, a guide cancelation, a rebooking, schedule change, and a stolen kyak, we had a Greta time. I first booked this tour for a 9:15 night trip to celebrate my wifes birthday. Unfortunately, due to lightning in the area, they had to us around and rebook us for a later date. Which is fine better safe than sorry, and the situation was out of their control. Upon our rescheduled tour 2 weeks later, we received news that our guide had an accident and broke their nose. They offered to move us up to the 8:45 spot. Which we agreed to. When we arrived, we were surprised with the news that kne of the kayaks had been stolen. The guide was frantically trying to get everything with the police handled as well as get us into kayaks and start the tour. Dude, he definitely had a tough day at work. He was professional, and I felt bad for how hard he was having to work. Even after all that, we had a great time, and he did an awesome job . They were prompt with all the rescheduling and very apologetic about all the bad luck. We will definitely recommend get up and go to anyone looking to enjoy the San marcos river and have an awesome relaxing experience. Thanks for all your hard work, and we look forward to taking a tour with yall again soon.

It showcased the beautiful scenery of the San Marcos river and took place at night , providing relief from the heat. It was easy and affordable to book and we had the most amazing guides! Our trip was great. We were greeted first by Michelle who was both friendly and informative. Our tour guide Michael gave us some history and helped us to see beaver, fish and other creatures along the way. Overall, an enjoyable and educational activity; the glowing kayaks were a beautiful experience and this is perfect for families with teenagers.

Very chill, lights play beautifully off the plant life and the spring water felt wonderful. Trey and Michael were great! Stayed flexible with us since my group from out of town had a hard time finding the place after sunset and guided us to the departure point. On the water they were very helpful and informative. The path has one low overhang to go under. At 62 I was able to duck without tipping no problem, taller folk might have trouble

This is a MUST if you re going to Austin or San Antonio. We did the evening tour with Michael. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the wildlife we could see, and he paddled around looking for cool things on the river banks for us. I loved how respectful he was of the river s ecosystem! We were surprised how warm we were on the river in February, so don t worry about what time of year you re going. It was about 50F out, but we stayed warm because of the heat of the river, which stays about 70F year round. You could literally feel the warmth in the kayak. The views were dreamlike because the light bars in the kayaks put an ethereal glow on everything. The river is incredibly clear, and you can see right to the bottom with gorgeous river plants swaying in the current. Fish will swim right under you, and we saw a ton of turtles (including a big snapper that Michael found). We loved this experience so much, we re already planning to do it again, maybe in Florida.

I d highly recommend kayaking with this company! We had an amazing time on the river. Our guide was very knowledgeable of river life and made the trip super fun! The river is full of wildlife, lots of fish, turtles, beavers and raccoons on the bank! It s especially magical during the holidays with the twinkling Christmas lights. My friend and I had a great time. We went at sunset, so it wasn t fully dark yet. I have kayaked a few times before, but my friend had not. The river is great for beginners to learn how to kayak. Michelle, our guide, was instructive and very informative. She has a passion for the area, and it shows as she talks about the river, wildlife, and history. I would recommend this activity!

Me and my girlfriend went on a tour and it was an amazing experience. The water was nice and clear so you could see into the water through the clear kayaks and we were able to see many different types of aquatic life around the kayaks. When it got dark we were able to see all the stars in the sky while on the water. It was a great experience and would love to do it again.

This was such a blast! The staff was awesome and very nice! The location is beautiful and it was so peaceful being out on the water! The kayaks are super comfortable and very well taken care of. I have not don t very much kayaking but it was not difficult at all!

Had so much fun on this tour and it was such a memorable experience! All of the staff was super nice and extremely helpful as well. Also as a kayaking beginner, it was extremely easy to pick up on and I felt like a pro by the end of it! Definitely recommend checking them out!
