We had a decent but far from exceptional experience during our first meal at Lamezze. The service was friendly but slow; they seemed to be a bit understaffed perhaps. The food was fine shawarma was good, and my wife s salmon was tasty as well, albeit a very small portion for a main course. We were never offered a drink menu, but I did notice as our meal was almost over that another table had received one and ordered cocktails. We would have liked to do the same had we known they were available! The ambiance unfortunately left a lot to be desired. For a place that seems at least somewhat interested in being perceived as upscale, it really shouldn t be acceptable to seat patrons immediately next to a mop and a bucket of dirty water. It also struck us as odd that they allowed a dog to be literally seated in the booth next to us; he was relatively well behaved but did yelp a few times and flopped out of the booth and onto the floor twice. Anyway our overall experience was good but not great, and I d be willing to try Lamezze again although I m in no rush to do so. Wishing this business good luck though!

Theres a whole lot of lamb going on. Scratch one off the restaurant bucket list. Unassuming Mediterranean place downtown with a slight retro diner look. Food was well seasoned and savory. Service was fast and friendly. The menu includes shawarma and kebabs as well as variations of popular fare. Great place to stop by before catching a show downtown since it is a short 5 minute walk from The Plaza Theater. Recommended.

Had hummus, calabasitas soup, lamb burger, and pecan flan. All food was 10 out of 10. Hummus was a perfect bend of spices. The soup had the flavor of a dish that has been simmering for hrs but the calabasitas were aldente. The patty in my Burger had a the caramelized crunch of a grilled patty bur the juiciness of an expertly aged meat. Flan was the perfectly sweetened.

I came here with my wife few times. The most recent time we visited , we ordered whipped feta and a chicken tortilla soup for an appetizer. The soup is nice, but I definitely had better tortilla soup in other places. The whipped feta is fantastic. It is mixed with lemon zest and topped with pistachio and crushed red peppers. The mix is really good overall. For a meal, we ordered greek chicken wrap and beef kabobs. Both were really good. Their fries are phenomenal! Highly recommended. Portions are generous for the price. Atmosphere is really nice. They also have very nice cocktails. We tried multiple cocktails every time we visited and we always enjoyed it. Funny thing, they have more cocktail options than entrees! Overall I like the place.

This place definitely has potential and value.

My favorite was the salmon dish we had, so many flavors fitting perfectly together. We ordered dessert and we expected a slice of cake but were delighted to get a beautiful whole mini cake with ice cream; which wasnt too sweet and paired perfectly.

If I could give zero stars to the service, I would. We walked in a few minutes past 11 AM & asked to sit at the bar. We were told the area facing the windows was available, even though only one other person sat at the bar. By the time we were finally greatest for our order, more than 5 minutes had passed. It then took over 30 minutes for our food, during which time the coffee was never refilled, so I caught someone to ask for our orders to go. Then our waiter shows up with the food played asking if we wanted it like that and I said no. It had been ready, he just forgot about us. After paying and leaving zero tip, we discover that our food had been prepared and flipped upside down. It tasted excellent, but I will NEVER go back due to the horrible service!

We had brunch at La Mezze on Mothers Day. The worst thing about this place is having to agonize over what to eat. The menu is diverse and enticing. I had the Carnitas Benedict and I cant stop thinking about them. The pork was succulent, the eggs perfectly poached, and the fig jam was the perfect complement. The service was impeccable and the owner Albert, friendly, welcoming, and appreciative of his customers. Highly recommend.

I am happy to know that there are gastronomic projects in our city of El Paso, but the quality in this restaurant really disappointed me. I remove three stars from this restaurant for the following reasons. One star is removed because of the selection of alcoholic beverages, particularly beer. Anyone who believes that beer has no place during a meal is very wrong, La Mezze only offers three beers with their meals, which is very disappointing. The second fault was because of the starter I ordered. Being a fan of falafels, I decided to order some but once again, it was very frustrating to taste poorly cooked, almost burnt and extremely sodium falafels. They were so inedible that I had to take them away and give them to a homeless person. We come to the third star removed, our meals. After asking the waiter to recommend a dish, I took the carne asada shawarma, my darling took the Moroccan. It was at this moment that we were able to see the inconsistency of this restaurant. My girlfriends shawarma had too much meat but dry, cold and probably old. My shawarma had 5 tiny pieces of carne asada and the pita was as dry as my girlfriends. If I decide to give this restaurant 2 stars, it is because the waitress and the waiter who helped us were smiling, welcoming and always attentive even if the waiter gave me bad advice. I dont know if I will return to this restaurant, I dont want to eat something which is not bad, but which is not good either, a dish devoid of taste and of low quality.

Restaurant adjacent to the Aloft El Paso Downton. Very cute setting with green velvet banquettes and gold chairs, but the food was mediocre. Ordered a Mediterranean Mule (fine) and a Whiskey Sour that was cloyingly sweet. Both meals were shawarmas - one falafel and one with meat. The falafel sandwich was ok and the fries were tasty and hot. The meat shawarma was bland and the meat was dry and tough, as if it d been microwaved. The tzatziki was bland. Maybe we hit a bad day, but based on our experience we would not recommend.

Why would you go somewhere to pay for a service and not even be acknowledged by judgy staff when there s all these nicer restaurants around? Horrible experience we had to get up and leave, don t think any food is worth this type of treatment to any customer.

Horrible. The waitress was great and asked us to give it a second chance, I for one wont be going back as there are too many downtown options to waste good money on horrible food. Had an awesome dinner here! Mediterranean with a Mexican twist. This restaurant has been open for about a month. We tried the grapefruit spritzer, which was so refreshing with real muddled grapefruit with mineral water. The lemonade was okay, very light tasting. The hummus with pita bread was very good with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of spice! For main dishes, we ordered the Morracan shawarma, its lamb, lettuce, tomato, and onions in a pita bread and served with fries. The grilled chicken kebab is where its at! Charred chicken chunks with bell pepper, onion, and cucumber pieces on top of saffron rice and accompanied with pita bread. The salad with mint vinaigrette was so good and did not have an overpowering mint taste at all. For dessert, we ordered flan, with toasty pecans on top. We left so full! I loved the decor. The service was very friendly, and multiple people checked on us. Highly recommend. Parking: Theres a parking lot in the corner across from Wells Fargo that charges $10 for 2 hours and is card only. You can also park on the sides of the street.

Just a short walk from the hotel we were staying at. I love the Mediterranean food! They just opened up so I hope this helps visitors, like us, and locals. We got take out. I posted the menu because there wasnt one online yet. The food is very flavorful. I wouldnt say true authentic Mediterranean, but Id say pretty close and with much more hit to it. Certainly a try! We got two grilled sirloins, extra tzatzik, and flan.

Great atmosphere, servers pay attention to detail very kind. I had the Grilled Sirlion Kebab with extra veggies and it was delicious. The rice had a great taste and the veggies were on point I was so good I needed a nap after.

For being open for only two days, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered a salmon Benedict with a side of country potatoes. The chile de árbol hot sauce was so good and a nice thing to have the herbed potatoes with. I m not from here but I d make the trip down here from out east just to have this dish again. Service was friendly and quick. Wish I had more time in El Paso to try the rest of the menu. Congrats Lamezze on your opening!
