I am in a Colorado office, and needed an out-of-state server. My office utilized Cherokee and had a great experience. The server was very communicative and their rates were some of the best for the area.

I turned in my paperwork and gave them the address of the defendant, and its going on almost 6 months and and they tell me they cant get in touch with the defendant. Ive tried calling several times since January the 6th, and the phone is out of service. I had to go there in person again and was finally able to talk to Raymond. He said he has been having health issues which have been keeping him from doing his job. But in all that time since I turned in the paperwork, he has not contacted me to let me know what is going on. He told me that he would finally get in contact by the 19 of February. I dont know why this is taking so long, but I am very disappointed with their service.

I spoke with Raymond multiple times and, each time, I have been impressed with his response time to my calls. I have loved interacting with him, having questions answered and hearing him express his love for his job. Even in busy times, Raymond took the time to listen, speak to, and guide me through his process. I find him to be a fair, thorough, intelligent, diligent, businessman. I hired an attorney, who then hired a local process server. After 4 weeks of checking to see if the service was delivered, it was not done. I choose to take matters in my own hands. I contacted Cherokee Process Servers to deliver my divorce petition. Cherokee process servers just needed hours to locate and prepare the paperwork. However, the other company completed the service. They completed the service of Process an hour after the hearing. I am disappointed in my decision this time. If there is a next time I will hire a much more reliable company.

Cherokee Process Servers is probably the most Professional process serving company in El Paso, Texas. One of our current clients was being chased by Cherokee Process Servers. They left multiple messages about this company attempting to deliver a Subpoena to them. The moment I heard the name of the company I shook my head - They are after our client. In my head I said stay away from them, Do not go outside. They are probably sitting behind a bush. All these thoughts went through my mind before I could call the managing Attorney. Then I got a new message from Cherokee Process Servers that our client had legal documents delivered to them. Ughhhh - Cherokee Process Servers is an assertive company. If I could give this company a zero I would. They refuse to return my paperwork for filing with the Court. I tried to have some served in El Paso and he couldnt get the person served. So I needed the paperwork back to have another company serve this person. They are terrible at communication and consistently tell me lie after lie. I contacted this service to have papers delivered to a soldier at El Paso Texas base. I spoke with a man by the name of Raymond at Cherokee process servers and after sending him an email with all my documents he started the process. Within that day he was searching for the soldier that I was looking for. Mr. Raymond was put through the loop trying to find this soldier, but eventually came to the point that the soldier was not located in El Paso anymore. Mr. Raymond then located another process server in Clarksville Tennessee where the soldier was located and within 12 hours had the soldier served, documents sent back to me, and payment went through. Was the only Process Server that would serve my soon to be Ex-Wife on Sunday. Because I was trying to serve her with Arizona Court Documents. So in Arizona the law is that a person can be served 24/7 and she would be here in Texas where I live on Sundays. Why does this matter? Because my wife lives in Arizona now, but still lists MY TEXAS address as her address on the Arizona Court s. So when I paid the MARACOPA County Sheriffs Office to serve her they mailed it to El Paso Sheriffs Office and they served ME my own paperwork. Because I am an adult about the age of 18 living at the residence!! Yes REALLY, El Paso Sheriff didn t listen to me, and walked away. The prices are also very affordable.

Cherokee Process Servers is an outstanding company operating for over 15 years. When I was certified by the State of Texas to deliver legal documents myself, I looked for a mentor. Someone who would teach me about being an effective process server. Teach me the ins and outs. What I know is Raymond is methodical and determined. I have read a few reviews for other process servers, and I chuckle just a bit. It amuses me to read how clients are ecstatic and heap praise on them because the service was delivered quickly. The legal documents were delivered quickly because it was paid for no more, no less. I say focus on the cases where the respondent is avoiding service. This man will sit on a residence or workplace to make sure the job is done. He also is a wealth of knowledge dealing with service in Texas. I chose the right person to learn from. When I have a question, concern, or am doubting my work, I call him. I am unsure which company is the best, but Raymond has got to be near top of the list. This person that needed to be served is to put it delicately very difficult. As a veteran and not having anyone in El Paso that could give me a recommendation, I simply put my faith into a veteran owned business and hoped for the best. 5823 N. Mesa, #839 El Paso, Texas 79912 June 7, 2021 TO WHOM IT MY CONCERN This letter is written to address the job performance of Raymond Holt-Shirley of Cherokee Process Service. Though I am legally trained, I have been retired for over a decade, so I do not have a broad base of sources that can assist me in accomplishing what is necessary in prosecuting a case as a Pro Se. Needing to file a complex case involving approximately a dozen defendants, I made calls to a number of Process servers to find someone to perfect the service of process for all of these Defendant. To my surprise I discovered that of the ten or so companies I called, none wanted to take on such a big job without a large sum of money up front and none would guarantee that they would find each and every defendant. As a 100% disabled veteran, my income level is not what it was before I was forced to medically retire so every dollar is important. None of the other firms seemed to care, but when I was referred to Raymond Holt-Shirley of Cherokee Process Servers I found an individual who was not only understanding of my issues, but his professionalism as a former member of our military was very evident. The quality of his work has been accomplished in a timely manner and has been carried with a meticulous attention to detail. I recently filed a small claims lawsuit, Pro Se. I hired the sheriff/constable to serve the defendant. With an understanding that they would try 3 times and that we would get notified within 14 days. After 14 days, I had heard nothing and I had to reach out to the court to get a status check on my case. Come to find out they only tried twice and at the same time in the day. They had no success in serving the defendant. They also placed a deadline on me to find the defendant myself, if not my case would be dismissed. Raymond from Cherokee Process Server is a definite hire if you have process server needs. I had never had to have someone served before, and not only did Cherokee Process Servers explain every step of the process to me in detail, Raymond got the person in my case served THE SAME DAY. Add the fact that we only spoke over the phone, and I provided all my content and info via email. There was tremendous opportunity for delay or mistakes, but Raymond was a true professional and handled this prickly case. And that is no small feat as this person I needed served is extremely toxic, and of course, he took some unwarranted verbal abuse from them (which is a shame as that person knows the process well since I was served by this individual in a spectacularly public fashion some years ago). But I digress. Raymond gave me a simple, but clear list of things he needed to get the job done, and was responsive to my questions and concerns. He is even able to reach out and touch military personnel, as my case is, to get them served in a timely fashion. And the best part is, he sent me the needed documents for the court as soon as possible. Again, all done virtually without ever having to meet in person, and might I add, in the apparent deathly heat of El Paso, Texas. The prices was very, very reasonable, and again, Raymond explained how it works to me, what my cost would be, and that was exactly what I paid AFTER he completed the service. I have used this process server twice. The first time I hired him he was perfect! The second time I used him I had to call my lawyer to get my return of service from him because he took my $100.00 but never returned service to me or the court until my lawyer called him on her personal cell phone. This process server reads my petition and told me that he doesnt want me to win my case. This process server read my case and took it personally holding up my case for a whole month. I want to give him negative 5 stars. A civil case where I am the one who initiated the lawsuit!!!

Very diligent and dedicated in their efforts to effect service on a party. Highly recommended! I have a P. S. to add: I am a private investigator in Las Cruces. A very good attorney client needed a subpoena served on a young lady here in Las Cruces. The address was solid but the young lady was not answering her door, having gone various times of the day. I was able to determine she worked in El Paso at a restaurant on the east side. The client had limited funds for me to be running from Las Cruces to El Paso and I contacted Raymond with Cherokee Process Servers, telling him we were on a short deadline. Walking and talking to people in the El paso County Courthouse on the sixth floor. Asked a person who they used to get thier babys DADDY served. They said the Sheriff but it took months to catch him. Another Girl was listening to our conversation and said if you want it done faster I should call Cherokee Process servers. She said she told them where he worked and where he lived, added a picture. So I called and spoke to a guy. He said give him 3 - 5 days and lets see what happens. I sent them an email of all he wanted. I be damn if I am going back to court because Baby daddy got served. Had the non custodial parent served the same day the citation was picked up from the district clerks. THE SAME DAY. Within HOURS it was done. I did have very detailed information provided to him but I was assured even had I provided the bare minimum he would have gotten it done. The relief I got was worth the cost in itself. Personally his fee is reasonable. I had initially looked into appointing the Sheriff, but I found this route to be more costly actually. Highly highly recommend. 10/10.

Cherokee Process Servers was awesome! They are very busy, but they get the job done as soon as they can at your request. Our firm in Atlanta used the expedited service and the process server was able to serve the defendant on the same day. Their service fee also includes prints of the service packet to be served upon the defendant. You dont necessarily get that with every process serving company! I first was introduced to Cherokee Process Servers and the CEO while I was working for a Law Firm in El Paso, Texas. In my opinion Cherokee Process Servers as a business is by far the best process serving company in West Texas. We gave them services with little information for them to track and serve a person or company locally or across the country. A few days later the have completed the service. The CEO usually answers the phones. He provided a wealth of information to me on the case in a matter of minutes. Recently, I was refereed to Cherokee Process Servers by a friend. She said there is no better process server in El Paso, Texas. He is not cheap, but he is worth every dime. She said she needed her husband served and only knew he was leaving on a plane at the El Paso International Airport. She said they served him at the airport with his new girlfriend while they were loading. Based what she said i hired him. I came to these guys having never served anyone with any kind of paperwork. I ritually I asked them a ton of questions on what is required to actually serve someone and they walked me through it. About a month later I chose to use them as the process server I needed after reading review after review on them being positive. Cant beat a 5 star rating! The attorney general couldnt serve this guy. Said he was hiding, and couldnt be found. I gave them all the info they needed, but yet months would pass and nothing was getting done. I finally decided to take things into my own hands and hire my own private process server, after making me wait a while and giving raymond less time to serve the guy, they finally gave me permission to go ahead and hire someone.. of course I went with raymond, he picked up the documents on Monday, August 29th 2016, and had him served by Sept 10th 2016. He didnt have much to work with since the guy was hiding and wouldnt answer his door or he would change vehicles. One day a friend told me that they saw this guy at school, so I went ahead to verify, called raymond until I got an answer, (about 4 tries) and when he answered he got on the job very quickly. Stopped what he was doing on the west side of town to come down to the east side and serve this guy. He messaged me until he got there, called me to make sure where I was and planned everything within a few minutes to get him served!!! My case was about to get dismissed, but thanks to raymond, this guy was basically forced to show up in court, and things are now good on my part. No more stressing about the case, and happy to say that Im thankful for Raymond. Hire him, you really wont regret it! =)

I have worked for two respectable law firms here in El Paso, Texas as a paralegal. Both had in other process serving companies working for them. When Raymond opened Cherokee Process Servers and asked for an opportunity I hired him reluctantly. Like they say, hire people you do not know not your friends. I gave him a service that needed to be done by the next day. The attorney and I were pleasantly surprised he got the service done so quickly. Although very satisfied with the service Raymond provided, the attorney said he felt some loyalty to the other process server as he had been using him for several years and remarked that his prices were also cheaper. As such, he stuck with the other process server. Approximately a year later I moved on to work for another firm. I was there three months and had problems with the process server getting the job done. Raymond came to mind.
