Do not do business with them. They will offer you insultingly low amounts for used cameras and gear. I tried to sell them a camera and telephoto lens easily worth more than $1000 in perfect condition but they only offered $400. Take your business elsewhere.

I called to talk to what looks like a very exciting mostly analog photography store and the person who answered the phone seemed to be as friendly as a rattle snake. Repeated attempts to have a decent warm conversation about the store and its inventory was not available from the person who answered the phone and they were very unpapologetic about their attitude. I made several attempts to speak to someone else that may be available at the store and I was told each time that there was no one else and there would never be anyone else available. And that is the end of my association with this business. I was calling from out of state to find a reputable retailer who may be able to assist my nephew in his photography interest. But I can do without this business assistance.

I ve been to Jerry reeds a couple of times now and every single experience has been amazing. The owner is always ready to answer questions, and is always super helpful when it comes to advice for picking the right camera/lens for you. This shop has become my go to for any of my photography needs and will remain that way!

New in the camera game, ended up at this shop twice in one day. 1st to see what they has to offer, 2nd to purchase my lens. The owner was super friendly and extremely helpful. Never pressured to purchase anything, (And I took 45 minutes just looking the first time) and encouraged me to ask questions and make sure the lens I was looking at worked. with my camera. Will be back.

We are on a road trip and my son mentioned wanting a telephoto lens for his camera. I found this place and messaged asking if they had what we were looking for. They responded, we swung by, and easily picked it up. The woman was kind and helpful and even gave my son some tips. I definitely recommend this store! We were able to get a gently used lens for a great price.

Been waiting almost 6 months to have my lens repaired. I was told it would take about a month to fix. The zoom was broken. They had to order the part. 2 weeks to ship and about another week or 2 to put together. When I called back they said it was back ordered because of Covid. When I called a 2nd time they said they ordered the wrong part and had to put another order in. When I called again they said it hasnt been shipped yet. Gonna call again to see what the situation is this time.

The best store for photographic equipment in La Frontera (Juarez and El Paso) Luz is very friendly and shows you the equipment. There are always good deals. Its good to know that you sell chemicals and film for analog photography.

Absolutely the worst customer service coming directly from the owner. Refused to service my camera based on bias versus being able to fix the camera. UNACCEPTABLE !!! The owner is grossly rude , disrespectful and deserves to be replaced. Customers deserve better. The owner needs to realize that word of mouth is pretty powerful. I support small business but this one should not be operating.

They leave a lot to be desired. The camera still does not work properly. Very bad service. Not to mention the fact that they dont even return the rolls of negatives. Instead, they give you 4x6 prints that are all pixelated. Actually it seems disrespectful to me, and I wont go again. Its a shame because in El Paso there arent that many places dedicated to analog photography.

they have been working on fixing my camera since over a year ago!! no call back because it has been difficult to source the part as well as the technician was not able to look at it this week. i have been waiting for them to return my camera but not even that! it is a $800+ camera and they wont even return it. i have called and left messages numerous times. i have resorted to communicate in this fashion.

By far one of the best film photography stores in the south west. If you are interested in putting those antique lenses to work there is an incredible selection of film, lenses and bodies! If you are looking to convert antique lenses to modern bodies she carries a great line of mount converters!

Very polite, went in wanting something I say and the owner talked me out of it because it was a higher price for less quality than another item. Not very many business will talk you out of spending money. Very impressed with the service, prices are higher that youll find online which is obvious considering there a small family owned shop, but still good prices for being able to go view and try out what youre buying. Will be going there more.

If youre looking for friendly service, look somewhere else. Staff consists of a woman (the owner) and a gentleman (the repair technician). The man is harmless, kept in the back servicing cameras, likely too scared to come outside from fear of the monster in the front. Film is overpriced and there is no attention to customer service when browsing the camera inventory. Looking for something in particular? Find it yourself. Yes, thats right, take a look at the hundreds of cameras, all cramped in small, hard-to-see display enclosures and figure it out on your own. Maybe its there, maybe its not. Maybe I want you to be my customer, maybe I dont. The service here is atrocious and the womans attitude is cringe worthy. She is quite possibly the least helpful business owner I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. As a customer, you are never made to feel welcome here. Never once. Its sad to say, but youre better off finding all your camera needs online, because despite being a local business, there is absolutely nothing here for anyone except a mean, sassy, out-of-touch senora that cant take a hint from so many reviewers that she should treat her customers with more respect. I dont know who Jerry Reed is, but Im sure he didnt start his business just to have this woman burn to the ground. This is not what a photography destination should ever be.

I was planning to drive to Albuquerque to the nearest authorized Nikon repair center, but someone suggested I try Jerry Reeds. I am so glad I did. My camera is precious to me (Nikon D3200), and I didnt want to take it just anywhere. Luz was very kind (even though I was already waiting for her before she even got to open the store and hadnt even put her stuff down), and anticipated having my camera done same day for a very reasonable price. It ended up having more wrong than we thought, but she called me promptly with an estimate and time frame. It was still quick, very reasonably priced , and I was very pleased with customer service. I will definitely use them for all my camera needs and recommend them to my friends and family!

Had an issue with my camera brought it in for an estimate and decided to get it fixed. They proceeded to fix it got it back a little over 2 weeks later only to have it say it was still broken. Brought it back in and for about 4 months I was getting the run around. Then finally I get my camera back working and they broke the display and said that if I couldn t prove that wasn t like that originally they weren t liable for it. Absolute waste of money and really really disappointed.

I discovered Jerry Reeds Photo and Video when I was looking for a small item. Googled where I could find diffuses, and this shop came up. Let me tell you, it is a gold mine in there! Jerry Reeds is the kind of place that I could stay in forever. No matter what you need, they have it! Cameras, film, lights, AWESOME backdrops (that i need to go and buy!). Anything, and everything! Also, the prices are really comparable to anything else in El Paso, or online. Oh, and did I mention they have FILM! All kinds of film! I love this place. No matter what you need, do like I do, make Jerrys your FIRST stop before you go any place else!

Extremely dissapointed. I took my camera in for shutter repair back in October 2011. I am still waiting, they have not repaired the camera, they do not answer the phone, they do not call me back, this is the worse business I have ever seen!!!!!! Do Not Go There!!
