We have been coming here since they opened. We had our first letdown about 3 weeks ago. But this last visit reminded us why we enjoy coming here. The service was awesome, the cocktails were awesome, and you gotta try the bourbon cheesecake... you wont be disappointed.

Very disappointed. Went by based on 5 star reviews they posted and boasted about but not near what I expected or what they claimed. My date pointed out to me that the dates on those were old. The Overpour is a great speak easy style bar you would not expect to find. They have an excellent variety of drinks, but specialize in the wide collection of whisky and bourbons. They have a bourbon margarita (I know sounds weird) that is amazing. They are great spot if you enjoy cigars as well! They have a cigar smoking room along with an amazing fireplace outside. They have a good collection of cigars for sale or you can bring your own and pay a cutting fee. I had my bachelor party here in January and it was amazing! Besides great drinks, Brian the bartender made the experience amazing. He will take your group on a great mini tour of the bar and teach out about all the easy to miss details that take you back to the days of prohibition and speakeasies. He has will keep your party entertained and will take care of you all from the beginning to the end. Brian really makes the bar a blast!

Went in last night with a friend. My food was great, the drinks were tasty, and the atmosphere was fun with the live music. However, the service soured the experience by the end. It started great with their bourbon margaritas then we ordered the food. I got the chicken panini which I got and so did my friend, but she ordered the prosciutto panini. When she told the waitress of the error the waitress started gaslighting my friend saying, no that panini also comes with chicken. Its the prosciutto. You just cant see it since its cut up. We had to show the waitress their own menu and how it was clearly a different sandwich. Then she went to the back. She returned to the table apologizing saying that they were out, but didnt tell her. It was a busy night so we were understanding. Then she said, what can I get you to make up for the wrong food? We take allergies very seriously here. How about a couple more burbons? Not wanting to pass up on free drinks we said yes. Then the check came. It was much more than we expected and we didnt know why since the waitress didnt leave the itemized list. After waving her down for 10 minutes she finally brought it to us. Not only did she charge my friend for the wrong, and more expensive, sandwich but she also charged us for those make up drinks. When we called her out on it she said, oh Im new so I cant actually give out discounts like that. You misunderstood me. She also informed us that the cook and manager were busy putting stuff away since they were closing. Then she walked off. This left a bad taste in our mouths so we just paid and left. Its too bad a nice place like this was spoiled by this kind of sketchy service.

Came In on recommendation, sad to say I was not impressed, I waited almost an hour for just a simple whiskey sour that ended up being a lemonade, second off the humidor was not at temperature nor humidity required for a good cigar, the whole cigar cracked before I got through the 1st third. Couldn t actually finish it because of the quick deterioration of this cigar that should ve been great. The ambience is great and the idea behind this hang out spot is great but more care and attention to detail needs to be looked at.

I never knew how much I could enjoy a scotch and cigar, not just to enjoy myself, but socially, and to learn more about what I like. The staff are very knowledgeable, the management is a beast, and the owners? Ive never met anyone that I could honestly call a walking encyclopedia about their craft. Their Bourbon Margarita? Most delicious cocktail on the planet. Also, it is a speak-easy. From the floor to their prohibition style drinks, all the way up to their ceilings, it is easily the most educated bar Ive been to. I wish I could recommend a bartender, but theyre ALL incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and will give you the best night out you can possibly receive in El Paso. Whether youre looking for a quick bite to eat with a glass of wine to pair with the meal, or youd like a nice place for a date, or youre a whiskey/cigar enthusiast, or even if youre just stopping by for one of the 132+ spirits, 101+ wines, or 50+ cigars (I believe is what I was told from the tour they gave me), DO NOT SIT ON THIS VENUE. And on top of that, they have live music: Every. Single. Weekend. The atmosphere is always great, the staff is very knowledgeable, the service is second to none. No one has topped their old fashioneds. I would recommend the Pre-Prohibition Old Fashioned, or the Bourbon Margarita. It pairs well with the Italian charcuterie board. Then! The desert is awesome. Cheesecake with BOURBON poured on it. Anyway, their name is The Overpour, and they live up to their name. They deliver on not just the drinks, but just service in general. I will be there every Wednesday night to try something different, and every Friday night to enjoy the Spanish guitar live music. I love it there, and though its a little more pricy than a dive bar, it is BY FAR the best bar in El Paso, in every aspect. Service, speed, bang for your buck, ambiance, just everything. Cannot recommend it enough.

If you need a relaxed cozy place to hang out with friends or a nice date night, you have found it! Not sure why this place doesnt have more reviews. Its going for that Speak-Easy feel, without actually being a Speak-Easy. As a bit of an Old Fashioned connoisseur, the Pre Prohibition Old Fashioned here is THE BEST Old Fashioned Ive ever had. Seriously, even if youre not a fan of the cocktail, do yourself a favor and give it a try. Its an excellent, if not one of the best homages to the original cocktail out there. The cigar selection is good, though I dont consider myself much of a cigar guy. I still get one every time I go. The employees are very knowledgeable, and I feel their knowledge of cigars helps me make an informed decision. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Seriously, check it out.

The ambient was lively, drinks were good. Music was at a level where you can have good conversation. Waitress was friendly and attentive, great follow up. I didnt like that We were charged a fee that wasnt disclosed. I wasnt sure what the additional fee was for. It could have been because of a credit card transaction but if there is a fee, either disclose it or tell customer ahead of time. The fee is a process flat fee and the amount shouldnt increase based on the tab.

Tried out Overpour for birthday cocktails and I was delighted. The ambiance was spot on and the service was excellent. Angel was attentive and gave well informed recommendations. The chef came out to work with us on a food order due to some inventory shortages and the end product was delicious. I really want to like this place more, but it s just too expensive for what you re getting. The food is good (not spectacular) and they have a wide variety of drinks. It just seems like you re paying extra for an experience that leaves something to be desired though. Amazing place. Got an informative and interesting tour right when we walked in. Cool cigar room & random neat facts about the place. It s small but high ceilings. The service was incredible. Loved the truffle popcorn. Got the famous margarita and that was tasty. They make their own sweet and sour/ syrups there so it as great! ( and strong). Got the procuitto panini and that was yummy. Finally! El Paso has something to brag about. Ive lived in Atlanta, Los Angeles and now here. When I moved to El Paso I noticed a major drop off in customer service. This place is spot on with their service. One of the best Whiskey/Whisky selections Ive ever seen. Great wine selection with lots of wine-by-the-glass options. I wasnt really a cigar guy, but I tried one of the mild cigars that they have Acid Blondie, it was very nice. They cut it and light it for you. I love the music selection too. That fire pit they have is a real gem and very nice area to hang out. Even though the food menu is small, the meats and cheeses were exquisite. The cheesecake topped with a pecan whiskey is a must try. Overall, well done! I will be back, I will invite my friends.

The ambiance is on point. The drinks are top notch. The food selection is pitifully lacking. Contactless menu is incorrectly configured and is confusing at first glance. Thankfully the cost area its away from the door, I couldnt detect the smoke at all. Strict cdc guideline adherence is commendable. Would visit again if theyd offer an actual food menu. This is almost the complete package, but, very expensive charcuterie boards, truffle oil popcorn and two paninis is insufficient - I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when those decisions were made.
