I have been ignored for a month straight. Everytime my appointment time would be near I d call and get a disconnected sound. I finally made my appointment today.. called and checked in and was told THEY WOULD CALL AT my appointment time. I m sitting here anxiously waiting for the call.. come 30 minutes past the appointment I call and ask if everything was okay? They claimed I m late to my call but I had checked in earlier with them. I told them no ma am. I have been waiting like they said I should for them to call for my appointment. I was on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up and called again and said hey, this is and I m waiting for my appointment, they said OH YEAH! And sent me over to a lady who was asking questions finally. She then told me she d call back 30 minutes later with MR. UNDERWOOD but I have yet to hear a call back. This was around 1pm it is now 3pm and I m still waiting. Horrible customer service as I ve been forgotten and placed on hold due to ME being late when that was not the case at all. I had checked in and made sure we were still good for this appointment ALL DAY just for them to disregard me. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE GUYS AS THEY DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR DEFENDANTS.

I was called bro through text message and on top of that I got told to to try to enjoy my 4th who says that? I did nothing except for wasted my time and money trying out an attorney from here. Waste of time and money. They get you with the it s not 100%. Save your money, just go to a defensive driving course I didn t want to go to the whole paper work and me going to court, but I could have easily gotten a letter from the hospital and get a better outcome. Don t spend your money and time.

Couldn t agree more with the review below. I have a recording of this law firm of the attorney underwood and Melissa REFUSING to give me copies of my receipts that I ve paid of $1,000 and the $2,000 in payments of increments of $500. I have already spoken to authorities and the audio recording is being sent as we speak. It s not legal for a business to refuse to give a receipt when you pay them. Per IRS businesses are required to provide a receipt for any transaction of any sale of $75 or more. I had a phone call taken place inquiring that they can send me a copy of my contract (which is comical) given the fact that no contract was signed but nonetheless was told it would be sent via email. Didn t take long for the assistants to figure that one out cause within less than a minute I was contacted back stating the attorney stated I can t send it to you . could ve told you that but I let them squirm threw article 17 section 6202 at them and the assistant got off the line (knowing this was way over her head). Passed me onto a Melissa person and admitted that they are refusing to have the contract and or any receipt sent to me. Then said that the lawyers office will file harassment charges for my calls and if I show up unannounced. You know you d think this Wyatt underwood trial lawyers would actually use their degree and knowledge and carry themselves with a much more professional demeanor but it s the exact opposite. Everyone s needs may be different though, have enough sense to pick a better law firm that will do for the client and not just take the money and have nothing to show for it. Called the bar and they loved it. Please expect a letter from me in a few days of the attempt of obtaining the utilize statements you have 7 days to respond. Look forward to hearing from you.

if i could rate this place negative stars, i would. so i met Mr Underwood and he took me on my DUI case. everything went fine. he told me if i needed him, to come back. unfortunately, i did get a second DUI. i reached out to him. he told me everything was gonna be fine. i paid him his money and everything was settled. few months later; i was in need of his services. calling him from jail to get my court date started. i was told they had no idea what i was talking about, they said i needed to bring proof in that they had agreed to help me. grant you, i was in jail. luckily, i had all my receipts at home. so my family went to see him. they literally turned them away, said they weren t me so they couldn t help them. my family had to bail me out. then i called them, they told me the same thing. said for me to come in with my receipts for them to help me. i went in on my scheduled day. it was snowing. nobody bothered to call me to tell me the lawyers weren t gonna be in. i told them i had called days prior, called the morning of to make sure my appointment was still on. they said yes. i showed up and they told me the lawyers called of. that they would call me with a reschedule . i told them it cost me $60 to get there with a lyft, they said someone should have called me to tell me they were closed. that i had to talk to the manager. i show up days later. manager tells me she won t refund me my money. she goes on to tell me that Mr Underwood no longer represents me. i tell her i had hired him for my court date. she said really? asks me for my receipts and asks me to take a seat. about 30 minutes later, she came back and said that Mr Underwood didn t want me as a client anymore. but since i had paid, he had no choice but to take me. (excuse me). from then on, they were nothing short from rude and condescending. making it seem like i was some criminal they were doing favors for. i wanted nothing more but to run out of that place. these people just want your money. once you hand over your card, their attitude totally changes. they make it seem like you re some scum of the earth that they re doing a favor for. i can see that literally they just hire pretty girls who have no clue what they re doing. they literally all say they don t know to anything and call the manager. i wouldn t put it past that filthy hog that they re just there for looks. don t go to this place.

Do yourself a favor just like that other lady said and STAY AWAY FROM.. Grashiem! She was supposed to help me with my child custody case and did absolutely nothing but steal money from me! Let s not even get into about her assistant who was constantly rude and smacking her lips over the phone. It s as if they were annoyed doing their job. Lil back story to all this, initially I was charged 1000$ so she could represent me, as the court neared, she then asked for an additional 1000$. On the contract me and her both signed, no where on the contract did it say she could ask for an additional amount. It said 1000$ was the rate and she would do everything she could. Well I then explained that to her, she said okay, then come my court date, I was hit with a surprise that Grashiem pulled from my case because she stated I didn t pay in full. Not only did she screw me with my time my money, but she failed to realize in the end this was for a child to see her father. Again stay away from them!! They lie and take your money! Then lie to the court so they don t get in trouble! Be careful!! If they like I could show the receipts if they respond here with lies. I have them all.

Waste of money working with Mrs. Grashiem. She got absolutely nothing done with my case for child support. She filed a counter petition two months after I hired her. She asked for additional money to go to a final hearing. I decided to go with another attorney as I was not confident she d get what I was asking for. Liz was very incompetent at returning my calls or getting any response from Mrs. Grashiem. I paid $1,005 for phone conversations, text messages, filing the petition two months late. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. She didn t care about the case whatsoever.

I literally had five minutes COURT WAS OVER he came out of a courtroom across from mine not knowing me and decided to help me within three minutes. He s my miracle. Case has dragged on since 2018, was told I was offended deferred probation and my case would be dismissed once I completed everything. Now they tell me that I never called them back to let them Know I agreed which is not true. Now I m worried that they won t offer me deferred probation nor get my case dismissed staff is really rude and unprofessional when calling or trying to speak with the attorney

Very courteous, the attorneys are amazing when they sit with you. Because of the court system thing time with the procedures that they drag, the attorneys have to wait. But once the ball is rolling theyre good. Just have patience and once you are able to talk to them and voice their concerns they are good; they have your welfare in their minds.

Start by saying Maria Elena Grasheim was my attorney. In 2019 I received a traffic violation for speeding. I got a call yesterday morning 06 30 2021 telling me I have until Friday to 07 02 2021 to pay my court cost of 99$, enroll in defensive driver class and complete 5 hrs of community service. Now if she thinks this is even a mediocre disposition she needs to retake the bar. I m a father and a service member I didn t hire you to sell my time off? I woulda went per se and got a better deal. Please beware! I went down to the court house this morning and opted out of that garage deal and paid 200$ don t trust these cons of hard working people.

Dragged the case for over 2 years, missed the court date that could have ended the case a year early, never kept in touch with me or updated me, got me ptd and told me inaccurate prices and details about the program. Didnt metion I had to register within 30 days, only said to get it done in 6 months. Literally a waste of time and money. These are all facts. The assistants or whatever they are dont know a damn thing about anything. All they do is try to get you to sign your life away. Stay away people. Some of us get lucky. Def would not recommend.

I had been on probation gor 42 months and the lawyer was doing nothing. I met with Underwood and his assistant on a Friday and Underwood told me flat out you will owe 1,000.00 now and another 1,500.00 if we go to court. An hour or 2 later i received a call from his assistant that tge DA had dropped and I needed to bring another 1,500.00 Monday. I did and later had a problem with one itwm that was to be taken care of. It wasnt. Underwood told me he had explained fbe arrangement up front he did he nust didnt honor his word when I asked about tge second part of the case ge told me to see a friend of his. I did it was not settled. Hecalso told ne to speak with another partner and sge was nust rude. I was irritated and still am but grateful that part of the situatuon had been resolved I moved on and was at the couethouse for an entirely different matter and Underwood got on the elevator and it was full. When he got off I heard some type of remark and i had not said hey pay me so whatever sarcastic remark he madeaI wasnt going to say anything when the elevator was full even though I could have. If you have Underwood as your attorney get the contract in writing. Underwood seems to be good at making calls but not at keeping his verbal promises and although I appreciate the situation he did resolve the second problem Is still present and the difference in cost and the fact that a major problem was not resolved still affects me.

Do your research before you hire this law firm , the staff is real rude always lost , always puts you on hold for several minutes , attorneys dont know what there doing , when you hire one of there attorneys 99.9% of the time you talk to there secretary and ask them to have your attorney call you, and you will never receive a call back , they will not research your case till your in the court room, and will not advice you when you have court , you will have to research it your self by going into public records and looking into your case, this attorney will be hearing from the State Bar of Texas for the way they handled my case , and the way they are practicing in the State Of Texas , will not recommend to anyone....But they will sure take your Money...

This place is a fraud Rabbi Adrian Delgado hired him for sale cas that Adrian went to jail for as and because the courts were changed their still asking Adrian to go to court and Derek and staff will do nothing to take care of steaff but give him run around Derek should go to court himself he is always doing cocaine right before court sessions...sad

Dereck Wyatt is a fraud. He didnt do his job at all but hes really good at taking our money. We did everything he asked and he painted a pretty picture but in the end it all fell on deaf ears. Just saw a Wyatt & Underwood commercial and received an immediate negative first impression. Making a positive first impression in front of a judge and jury is key. Wyatt & Underwood obvious errors! Error 1 all-girl, harem-like staff gives an impression of sexism, not fair legal service. Error 2 - Negative client ratings appear on this and other websites. How many clients do you ignore. I would not trust my life with a law firm that clearly does not understand this.
