Drinks were great, had the meat and cheese tray which was okay. Just expect to wait a long time for your drinks and water. It wasnt busy, multiple empty seats but waitress claims it was busy. Waitress visits every table asking who ordered what drinks because they cant remember. Not worth it

Worst service we ve ever received at any bar. Took 3 hours to get two rounds of drinks and an appetizer - all of which we basically had to beg for because part of the order was forgotten or delayed. Only pro about this place is that the bartender makes good drinks - just expect to wait a long time to get them (too many guests for one waitress).

Dropped by here on a whim after dinner downtown. Great and unique experience. Definitely will get there earlier as they have two terraces- the north terrace has the best views of the sunset and mountains but the east terrace gave us a nice view of downtown. The bartender was fantastic and knowledgeable. Prices were steep but you are paying for the view and reasonable for an upscale cocktail bar

Went on a Saturday around 4 pm waitress was good, can t remember her name (she had braces 5/5). She was helpful with drinks right away and recommended some different food choices she likes. We ordered guacamole, had good flavor, I m giving food a 3/5 because they only give you 4 tortillas for the guacamole . We needed about 4 more tortillas to finish off the guac, so sadly a lot when to waste. Then the south side patio was locked so we couldn t even enjoy the views over there. Only one fire pit was working and the service towards getting that fixed was disappointing. Overall, I m glad I went and saw some of the views but I probably won t be going back.

The photos make it seem wayyyy better than the actual place. The ambience felt so boring. Couples were just laying on each other almost falling asleep to some jazz classical music. The other side rooftop is about 10x30ft and it s cute but it is not what I was expecting either. Cocktail Server took about 30 min to offer us a drink. It s a very extremely relaxed vibe to where the music makes you start yawning. People are either dressed nice. Others are in flip flops and shorts. So no enforced dress code. Would give it a 4/10.

Bad service and on top of that they totally messed up my friends pre- wedding event. No one even tried to accommodate her and the guest even though one side was practically empty. We had to go elsewhere I was up there prior to the event time and wasn t impressed by anything. They did a good job on the internet photos because it s not that nice at all. You are better off going to the Hotel Paso Del North.

Really disappointed by my experience here tonight. I had made reservations for 9:00. I arrived two minutes early only to find that my table had been given away. The seating hostess told us the bartender had given our table to someone else and that when she told him it was reserved, he said he didn t care (her exact words). After some effort on the hostess part, we were seated at a table and told that someone would be by to take our order. Not five minutes passed when the manager came by and asked us to move because the table we were sitting at had been reserved for a larger party. After being relocated, we waited for half an hour without anyone taking our order, at which point we left to go to the bar at the Paso del Norte. On the way out, we spoke to the manager and he was unbothered, didn t even apologize.

I made a reservation for Valentines Day via opentable app. The restaurant called and left a voicemail to confirm the reservation to which, I returned the call and confirmed my reservation. Fast forward two weeks to Valentines Day. My girlfriend and I show up for our 8:15 reservation to be told, Due to the number of reservations for tonight, we arent serving food up here. I responded with well thats the whole reason we made the reservation was to eat dinner. All I got in return was Oh Im sorry. That was it nothing more than that. No lets fix this for you or anything. So, we went downstairs to Ambar which, is apparently tied to la perla. We asked the hostess if there was any way we could eat there. We were told they were booked up. I posed the issue that La Perla wasnt cooking food, so we had to come downstairs. Again, second time something could have been fixed but we simply got a Oh yeah they brought the cook downstairs due to the number of reservations. but you can sit at the bar. So twice we were told we arent going to help you for our mistake. So, for Valentines dinner we sat crowded at the end of the bar in the space for 1 person attempting to enjoy the night. This is ridiculous that there was zero attempt to correct the restaurants failure to plan accordingly or to beforehand inform me of that limitation so I could make alternate dinner arrangements.

Really disappointing, nobody greets you, nobody talks to you. Practically have to force your way to getting attended. If this place could properly give people a good service it could do so well and be so busy. With such a fantastic view and such nice looking drinks it s pretty astonishing how empty it is. But I completely understood why after going and experiencing the service. Get a better manager with a focus on service and customer experience. You already have the view, upscale design and a great menu. That s your missing element to getting it to do better.

Great location on top of The Plaza Hotel in downtown El Paso. Valet parking or garage parking about a block away. As long as the weather is nice, its very beautiful and laid back. All outside seating so keep that in mind. Reservations are recommended as there is limited seating. The skyline of El Paso can be seen from up here, just dont look straight down as its 17 floors up. They have a small menu with appetizers & desserts and then a cocktail menu with specialty cocktails as well. Ask your waitstaff as they have other drinks not on the menu too. Afraid of Heights - may not recommend but otherwise for a relaxing time with a great view - Enjoy!

The staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. To begin with, they won t allow any reservation made for over 4 guests; I had a hard time reserving for a birthday. After several calls and separate reservations, we had a birthday party set on the rooftop. When we arrived they claimed they could not find our reservations. Eventually they found it but denied us service in the rooftop because some guests in the party weren t 21. Absolutely no specifications for 21+ are stated anywhere in the page or opentable site. There was no reason for the service to be denied, those under 21 were obviously not going to be drinking. The manager and hostess yelled at three guests in the party and refused to allow us upstairs. Claimed that since it s high end dining that was unacceptable. Other restaurants in town do not act like this with guests. They said the only way they would respect our reservation was if only those above 21 came in. Absolutely ridiculous.

I ve never felt less welcome in a restaurant ever before! Terrible! Unfriendly hostess, and $125 minimum ticket, which is strange considering there were ONLY 2 tables tonight, and looking at the menu, I m not sure how 2 adults would be able to spend that much, so instead they served the other 8 people in the entire restaurant at 7 pm tonight and I went down the street and spent $90 on dinner and cocktails elsewhere. Booked on open table, no notice of a minimum bill amount and no menu online, I could kinda understand a minimum if it were communicated, OR if they were busy and in high demand, but you d have to order nearly everything on the menu to get to the minimum, and even then, awkward and untrained staff are there to meet you. I d be embarrassed to be managing this restaurant. My second time in El Paso in a week, I almost booked this hotel, thank God I didn t, and I certainly won t the next 5 times I m back, or ever for that matter. PS.. I d ditch the minimum on evenings you have less than 10 people in the restaurant, my $90 would have been better than $0 and a negative review. Place is a total joke, notice the other reviews mention views not food? Go up and grab a drink, see the rooftop view, and then dine at any other restaurant in the area, you ll thank me later.

Can I leave zero stars?? If I could, I would. First, we were not a guest at this particular hotel, but one down the street. We made reservations on open table for a rooftop table. The hostess was uncomfortably awkward. She was strange about sitting outside, she had NO idea what tapas were.. even more strange, considering it s a TAPAS restaurant. Once we finally get though the uncomfortable encounter and get to our table, she proceeds to tell us that because we are not guests of the hotel, there will be a $125 minimum.. that s incredibly difficult to do considering the most expensive thing on the menu is $22.. and there is only two of us. Save yourself the time and go ANYWHERE else.

The brown shrimp I could tell were frozen, straight from a Costco bag. Not all the menu items were available at the time of my visit. One of the items they ran out of was salt because the lamb lollipops were bland. The servers were slow even though there were only five tables occupied. You have to take a trip for the restroom since it s on another floor. I get that they re trying to be upscale but this was a low budget experience.

My husband took me to a romantic date to la Perla and it was fantastic , we got there right before sunset so it was very romantic to be in a roof top, the place is very calm and has separate spaces so you can really be doing your own thing. They only sell appetizers which were pretty good (a little over priced) and small, so we head out to whataburger after it. I think the place is mostly to drink, they have about 10 different specialty drinks which are very good but they don t put the prices of them in the menu, for what our bill was I would probably say the drinks are between $15/$17 dlls each (and are smaller that what you would get in a regular bar) but for the experience and romanticism I ll give it a 5 star. Very worth for the scenery and picture opportunities but definitely a one time thing.
