Avoid! This is by far, the worst chinese place i have ever eaten at. Not a single thing was good. Everything tasted really weird. Not a large selection of food either. The building looks very rundown inside.

I go here 1-3 tubes a month and so far the food is always delicious. my only complaints are: - food is usually warm but not hot. - won ton soup is almost tasteless - dessert selection is bad Besides those 3 things I really like this place Kid-friendliness: Kids friendly but please control them. It is not the restaurants responsibility to watch and/or dodge your children as they scream and run around.

Food: egg drop soup weird no flavor Cucumber tomato salad: weird tasted like fish, and cucumber was mushy Noodles were good and fried rice was good some chicken tasted old and some was fresh. Shrimp still had poop in it. Tiny pickles were good also the sautéed mushrooms and spare ribs were good. Server was really good. Atmosphere has really cool Chinese lanterns which are very enchanting!!

Save the hassle and money, we were in town just driving by and saw this place we usually enjoy buffet but this one was so disappointing that we paid didn t even finish a plate and ran! Im rating this place 3 stars because, Sometimes Ive went, and the food was just gross... depending on when I go honestly, sometimes its good, especially when they cook it fresh! Some of the staff is very friendly to also! No complaints there! Sometimes, I do have to kill a fly or 2 and I see sticky areas.. the ice cream area could be better more cleaner.. and maybe have more utensils for the food...

First: We ate here because it was a family members birthday (a child) and this is where she chose to eat. Had it just been the two of us, we would have left before being seated because they require that you pay before even being seated. This would have sent us back out the front door, had it not been for the aforementioned relatives birthday. We pre-paid for our meals, as required, and once the other family members arrived and our drinks were served, we proceeded to the buffet. The sushi had a negligible amount of actual fish. I understand fish is costly and they dont want to waste, but I also understand that if Im paying money for fish - I would like there to be some fish. EVERY.THING. on the buffet was dry ... like it had been sitting on the buffet long past the end of its life. Chicken was dried out in each entree, the only rice option was (greasy) fried rice, there was NO crab in the crab rangoons, soups were just bad ... we had to dig through the available dishes for clean plates and bowls, as each of us discovered dirty dishes as we were getting our food ... overall a poor dining experience and I definitely do NOT recommend this place.

The place was absolutely filthy, from the chairs to the floor to the walls. While I understand it can get crowded and be hard to keep up with cleanliness. The staffs disrespect was unacceptable. Everyone from the cashier to the roaming staff made my visit unpleasant. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Staff didnt give any refills asked for straws several times. only sushi was one type, and that was the cream cheese sushi. The price wasnt bad. I did tip before we were seated cause, normally, you cant go wrong at these places. My buddy said it was a great place land been there for years. Said hes always had a great experience till today. We meet up with both our families. We hadnt seen each other in four years and we wont be going back to that place again only decent thing was the layout of the rooms and family atmosphere.

The bathroom is DISGUSTING. A layer of crud on the floor. My teenage boys didnt even want to use it. The food is generic. While the rest of my table got 2-3 refills. I only got 1. That by itself doesnt make the place lose a star. But just dont go here. Its also $13.99 per person and not $11.55 like the menu listed on the map listing says it is. The drinks are $2.55 per drink also. Not worth the money. If youre going to spend $14 per person, go to a NICER place. The ceiling is riddled with water spots also. Not sure what thats about. The ice cream machine had spoons sitting in stagnant water... Freezer burnt ice cream and then just no ice cream in other places in the freezer.

This used to be my son and is favorite Chinese restaurant. Over this past year we have seen it decline. On our most recent visits we have noticed the following - cold entrees - fermented pineapple in the honey chicken - a black bug in the desert. And rock hard freezer burnt ice cream. -The fish fountain has quite noticeably gotten dirtier each time we visit. -The condiments on the tables are crusty - the dinning room always looks like it could use a good sweep, even during the slow hours. -the bathrooms are scary! My son and I have decided not to return for a while. I hope they get it together. This was a lovely establishment at one time.

The fod is disgusting. Over cooked seafood, hard sliced potatoes, no Mongolian grill, the general tso is literally ketchup with what tastes like sweet n sour. I went to get ice cream and the cooler is froze over with nasty stuff froze into it. All the ice cream is empty, and there are very little cookies or other choices. You would think spending $15 per person on Sunday they would have at least a small selection.

The food is actually surprisingly decent, and priced approximately. There are quite a good number of choices, including a small sushi bar as well as a dessert bar. The atmosphere the day we went was a bit subdued, despite the colorful lighting and decorations. Small details at a buffet are exceedingly important, so the main sitting area was in need if a very deep cleaning. The mug I was served hot tea in had a cleaning solution aftertaste so strong I could not drink out of it. Several of the food items lacked signage (luckily most were recognizable). The manager on duty was typically stoic -- neither welcoming nor unfriendly, just distant. The 2 floor staff we interacted with were polite but spoke almost no English. Used dishes were cleaned off tables quickly. There was plenty of parking. Well go back at least once more before adding (or eliminating) from our list of Chinese buffets. Honestly, with a bit of elbow grease and a course in how to have decent interpersonal skills, and I think this place could double or triple its revenue.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this place, it s like a cool back room vibe. And the staff is always nice. But the food is never good and we always leave regretting coming back. Seeing as how there s no good Chinese buffet options in San Marcos we always go at least once a year hoping they made the food better but it s usually just worse lol a few dishes were okay. The broccoli and chicken was okay and the honey chicken was pretty good. And surprisingly the sushi isn t bad at all. But everything else is weird and stale or soggy or no flavor. Even the noodles are just not good and that s my fav part of a Chinese buffet. Anyway, I m still probably gonna come back next year and see if it s gotten better cause I m a fool.

I worked there, the managers treat the employees badly and they stole my tips. The other waitress is the bosss darling and its not fair that they treat you like that!!!!! Do not tip waitresses or waiters, they are arrogant and hypocritical with Latinos, they do not pay a cent per hour, they gave me a penny for 1 year of work and they do make you do extra things like wash bathrooms and cut vegetables, jellies, etc. The boss hits the other waitress because she is his partner,,, but if someone gets involved or tries to help, he kicks them out of work, and if they are dirty in the kitchen, think twice about going to eat there

Terrible food. Its like the cook doesnt care and lost his passion for cooking. Noodles are soggy, rice is just okay, all the chicken tasted over cooked and crunchy. I was in the SSC office with my roommate, who was quite hungry at the time. In a spontaneous decision to satisfy our hunger, we ventured inside. It was horrible. Yes, the restaurant had a Chinese vibe, such as the celling and the pillers, which reminded me of old Chinese homes. They also offer a party section and a decent seating arrangement. However, the entire place was dirty. The tables were clean, but the floors were unclean and dusty. and the whole place had a wired smell. It is restaurant with a chinese name with disgusting food.

Been going here since 2010 (13 years) and wont be going back. its been slipping and after this last visit, no more. Ingredients and meat quality is the lowest of low. Used to be able to request a steak! 6pm arrival... the Crab Rangoons consistency was that of male reproductive juice, the egg rolls were cold and limp, the spring rolls had I dont know what kind of slime in them. If you are looking for mass quantities of calories this place is great, If you want a very diverse meal, this place is the spot, crab legs, shrimp, pizza, fish, sushi, noodles, jello, icecream, things fried, etc... but if you want tasty food, unfortunately not anymore.

ill stop in sometimes when doing laundry. prices have gone up! i still go though. service is always great. while some of the employees dont speak English ( i thinks mandarin, i could be wrong) very well it doesnt really impact the service, if they are having trouble with what your saying its probably because your asking too much from them in the first place lol. foods always great too! standard Americanized Asian food. they have hot bars, sushi bar, soups, shellfish, fish, a grill (havent tried it yet, my plate did find out the eggs in the grill section are not hard boiled!), and fruits and deserts! the little pink whip cream cups used to mix with jello or fruit is my favorite thing to get, plus the tiny cakes with whip cream icings!

Dont recommend eating here. It was really hot inside, so it made the experience pretty miserable. Mushy sushi, mediocre food. Probably the only good thing was the general chicken that we watched come out fresh but other than that service was not good. Hostess walks up eating pizza and seats us and doesnt say anything. Our server never came back to refill our drinks,maybe because she was too busy talking on the phone. Fruit was not cold. Over all, me and my husband left feeling like we need to throw up...

This place is DISGUSTING they make you pay beforehand why? BECAUSE ITS GROSS. You walk in smells like moth balls I m sure they have rodents or roaches in the back the floor looks like it hasn t been cleaned in months. I ve been to bars cleaner than this place the women s restrooms toilets were covered in sealant why? Because they re leaking from the base due to unsolved issues. They have towels under the sinks with a utensil used for cooking. Their food seemed like it had been left out for way too long if not cooked yesterday and put out again it was all nasty NEVER GO HERE this place is gross.

Just looking at the reviews this business should have gone under by now. The standard at which they swear by is not seen anywhere in the establishment. They respond to all negative reviews with basically well we didnt know about that or our standards are much higher and we would never but the bad reviews span from yesterday to at least four years ago. Sorry but this cannot be said enough DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!

We on a Sunday evening and if I had known the sushi and Mongolian bar was closed we would have went somewhere else. We paid full price for leftover food that was either warm or hard as a rock. Also when I paid I was dutifully reminded they close at 9:30. This will be the last time to go to this buffet.

Food was horrible. We took it home and threw it out. I mean bad! Tasted like 3 day old frozen then defrosted the refrozen. Fish was mushy and stank. Not one of the buffet items was good that we got. Shrimp had to be spit out. Other people were looking around like what the hell is this. We are on a food budget and sorry we wasted it here.

When I arrived, there were 3 parties waiting to pay to enter and the only person working the register was on a personal call and we waited for 10 minutes until she finished her call. Absolute worse food all around. I have been eating at buffets for most of my adult life and this one is truly the worse. Not at all worth the money. Food was way under par and selections were not even clearly marked. I would dish something on my plate that I thought it was. When I tried it, was not at all what I thought and it tasted horrible. Wasted more food than I ate. I hope I don t get food poisoning. Awful. Will not return and will make sure my friends and family hear what happened as well. The waitress was very attentive and nice.

Got there more than an hour and a half before Closing yet most things werent being refilled and remained empty throughout the duration of our visit - Id say if your not going to refill at last few hours maybe dont charge full price since you arent providing full menu ( I wouldnt be saying this if it was only a few things, but it was the majority of the options including the sushi)

I ordered a delivery order that included 3 entrees and two appetizers. The chicken and beef were very slimy and tasted off. The two noodle dishes we ordered were oddly sour and had a strong old oil flavor. The appetizers were the only edible part of the meal.

I cant warn people enough DO NOT GO HERE! It was the most disgusting place I have ever been. Staff was rude and inattentive even though a buffet in a college town being empty on a Saturday should have told us volumes. ALL the food was empty, burnt, full of grease, or cold. The floors, buffets, and tables were filthy. We didnt even bother trying to get our money back which is outrageously over priced compared to their competitors. We left our plates and got out as fast as we could! GROSS!!
