No complaints on my end. You can use the library for many things such as: ° Using a computer ° Checking out books ° Buying cheap food and beverages ° Printing out documents ° Reading in a quiet environment I mainly use the library to print out documents like my resume etc.. On a side note, if youre donating books theyll take some, but not all books. The library is kept in pristine condition, very clean! To me its a good place to be productive, when the mood strikes.

Great medium sized library in Edinburgh. As a good selection of books and a great children section they even rent video games and have a large DVD selection. Library is also very active in the community.

Clean environment. Nice staff. But you would think that a library could be quieter. It would be nice if there could be management for people to turn their ringers off when entering. And enforcement. The staff walks around constantly. But they dont ensure that it is a quiet area for everyone. That would greatly benefit the usability of this library space.

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The best library Ive ever been to. Has a snack shop and modern computer labs. They also have event meetings of various topics on a regular basis.

No one ever answers the phone here. Tried calling for over an hour on a weekday not during lunch or a holiday and nothing. They inconvenience you by having to drive all the way to the location just to ask a simple question. Ridiculous

Visited this library today with the kids. The library is huge. Several departments within the library. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The tables, chairs, and games are clean and in good condition. They have daily activities for children and adults. We really enjoyed the kids activities

This library has great services and workers... but they have an influx of creeps who will follow you around and take an interest in you. The management does nothing to prevent these people (who are there EVERYTIME I come!) from messing with me or with their poor workers. I go in and out very quickly. Its not fair for the poor women who work here, who are blatantly stalked. So sad. I hope management changes or does something about this.

Not a quiet place to study and focus if you are looking for that. The study rooms are NOT quiet at all! One can hear everything the person next door is saying....I mean one is at the library not a bar or at a party with all that giggling, loud talk and phones going off I wish something could be done about this. My recent visit to the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library left me deeply disappointed and concerned. While seeking assistance, my family and I encountered an employee named Abby, whose behavior was remarkably rude and disrespectful. Even worse, Abby made derogatory comments about us when she thought we couldnt hear. To my dismay, it became apparent that the librarys manager, Viviana, allowed this type of behavior to persist unchecked. As customers, we deserve to be treated with Kindness and Respect, and it is disheartening to witness such a toxic environment within a supposedly inclusive institution. In my experience at the library was far from satisfactory. The rude behavior displayed by Abby and the lack of appropriate management from Viviana created a negative and unwelcoming environment. I would caution others to be aware of these shortcomings and consider alternative options when seeking a library that values professionalism and respect for its patrons.

I recently had an incredibly negative experience at the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library that I feel compelled to share. The librarys staff, particularly an employee named Abby, demonstrated an appalling lack of professionalism and respect towards me and my child. To make matters worse, the manager, Viviana, appeared to condone such behavior. Upon entering the library and seeking assistance, I approached Abby with a genuine need for help. Instead of providing the expected courteous and helpful response, she decided to talk disparagingly about me and my child behind our backs. It was deeply hurtful to overhear her rude comments and witness her lack of empathy. Libraries are supposed to be welcoming spaces, but Abbys behavior made us feel anything but welcome. Whats even more disheartening is that the manager, Viviana, appeared to be aware of Abbys unprofessional conduct and did nothing to address the situation. As a customer, I expect library staff to treat visitors with respect and professionalism. However, Vivianas failure to address Abbys behavior reflects poorly on the librarys management and raises concerns about the overall work culture. In addition to the disrespectful treatment we received, the librarys facilities left much to be desired. The cleanliness was subpar, with shelves in disarray and limited seating options available. It was disorganized and chaotic, making it difficult to locate the materials we needed. It is unfortunate that a place dedicated to knowledge and learning would fall so short in maintaining a conducive environment for its patrons. As a parent, I believe it is essential to foster a love for reading and learning in my child. However, my experience at Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library has left a sour taste in my mouth. It is disheartening to encounter such unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from library staff, especially when seeking assistance. I sincerely hope that the librarys management takes immediate steps to rectify these issues. Customer service should be a top priority, and ensuring a respectful and welcoming environment for all visitors should be non-negotiable. I trust that the librarys administration will address this matter seriously and take appropriate action to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library based on my deeply disappointing experience. As a community resource, libraries should strive to create an inclusive and respectful atmosphere, and unfortunately, this particular library fell far short of those expectations.

The library itself is a great facility and has plenty of room where everyone could go read books and study! The only negative thing I experienced is the noise level. People were just conversing in their tables as if they were in a cafe and even staff that were talking didn t lower their voices down. A library should be quiet with minimal talking so people who are reading or studying could concentrate.I found that hard to do with all the talking. Staff should make sure noise level is down.

Not a good place to get hired at. When I had an interview, I was asked irrelevant questions like Are you willing to fail? and was also told to sing my favorite song in front of the interviewers. They even went as far as telling me how to make Huevos Rancheros in Spanish??? Like, what does any of this have to do with a graphic designer position?! It honestly felt like they were just trying to get a laugh out of me. One of them seemed to get irritated when I tried giving him my business card because saw him poke it with a pencil as if I had COVID or something. Very unprofessional staff.

This library has friday preschool events . Theres also toddler events on Tuesdays. Today was the Halloween storytime/trick or treat event. The staff did a wonderful job with the children. It was quite adorable what they had for the kiddos; stories and crafts. Everytime we come here we have a nice experience. The entire staff is so polite and professional! Libraries are so important for our community!!

I went to the library yesterday needing to print and scan some documents. I was running late to a passport appt and I didn t think I would make it at all. Raul, was the one to attend me and I was very grateful for how kind, professional, helpful, and quick he was to help me. I feel like he went out of my his way to help me and was cheerful throughout as well. I was very impressed. Thanks to his help, I was able to make it in time to my appt and have everything I needed. The ladies who do the children s story time in the summer are also always very friendly and patient with my daughters 1000 questions and requests. Thankful for a great library and staff in Edinburg.

Mask is still implemented which I think its great. Security guard at front entrance asks questions, checks temperature, and provides you with germ-x before entering library. There is social distance between computers & staff disinfects computer area after a person has used it. It wasnt crowded during my visit.

Security contractor distraction Security guard walks around library with ear buds plugged in his ears. Job should pay better in order to get contractor serious about job responsibilities. Supervision by staff should understand safety concerns when a security officer is listening to m&m rap music. If you pay for security make sure they are working with all five senses even though they hired a punk rocker nihilist. Communication.

Way too strict for what you get out of it. They wont even let you re-checkout a book if you didnt finish reading it in time. The first time I tried to, the guy at the counter did re-checkout the book for me, but let me off with a very strict warning saying that theyll never do it again. How incompetent a library is this that they wont even allow the most basic of library functions? Also, the computer rules are absolutely rubbish, and restrict you from doing even the most basic things. (No downloading files of any kind, and the permanent filter that you cant turn off treats you like a child. Basically 80% of YouTube is blocked, and good luck getting into websites that have games even remotely featured on them.) I can understand these types of filters in the kids area, but in the adults section too? Unnecessary, and makes the computers useless for only the most basic of homework assignments. Also, color printouts are not 25¢ each like everywhere else thats normal and fair. Here, theyre a whole dollar per page. So, after you finish emptying out your wallet just to print out a homework assignment with color, maybe youd wanna look at the book selection, which, I will admit, is good considering the small size of the building, but youre better off taking the small trip to the McAllen library for a better selection and more guarantee youll find what youre looking for. In conclusion, if youre a teen or older, and not just working on an essay you can print out in black and white, or coming to use the wifi, then dont bother coming here. Youll just leave dissatisfied that Edinburg doesnt have a better public library.

I work at a school. Called them to ask what time they closed to buy used items for my classes, they said 830. Drove from Mission and at 8:10 tell me they closed the area. Very unprofessional and unreliable staff!! Next time please dont mislead your customers.

Friendly staff. A good selection of books. Multiple computer terminals all and use. Clean and modern. It doesnt look like it has been long since they upgraded the interior and 8 does not look like it gets heavy use. Kids enjoy going there, great way to get out of the heat for a while in to the AC. Adult selection is minimal but you can borrow from other libraries
