We went here for my nieces graduation. We made reservations and got there early. Thank goodness it was still empty. As the place got packed, because it was Memorial weekend Sunday. It was busy inside because it was too hot to sit outside in the beer garden. First, we were a party of 10. The young lady that served us was excellent - I world give her a 5 star, as she had so many tables and was still able to multitask the whole time. She was just amazing. Now to food and establishment, coming from a german girl that just got 40 million viewer level and had a family German restaurant. Well, its called hofbrau House for a reason. The HB Beer is a popular beer. Can you believe they didnt have any? What? They were out. Unacceptable even in a holiday weekend. That was one reason they lost a star. The main beer in which the restaurant is called after should never run out. That is a German sin. If you are a European and think youre going for amazing german food, dont go. This is more sports bar atmosphere. Good is not bad. Incredibly large portions. You are not going to an authentic German restaurant. You will be disappointed. If you never lived or raised with german food, well enjoy it. Its a great way to start. Now critic German.. Sauerkraut was tasteless and dry. Sausage was good, but do not cut them and then grill them. No german would do that. It dries the sausage out. Keep them while to grill them. Keep the juice in. The pork schnitzel wants bad, but back off the breading a little. But lets talk about the gravy. First, not enough gravy on the schnitzel. Next, what the hell a Jager schnitzel sauce only had mushrooms in it, creamy and not onions. Need some flavor. Their wedge salad was big and very good. Surprisingly, the rueben was buf and good. We can go on and on. But overall, it is a fun place to hang out with amazing service and atmosphere. The drinks were good and price not bad for the area. Food skills need to be upgraded. Selection of German drafts was great! Food was just OK. I ordered a burger and it felt like they werent trying.... Not anything like a fast food burger but just some meat, iceburg lettuce, some mayo, and a bun. No flavor to it. The nachos that the table ordered were a hit. Waiter was friendly, fast, accurate and checked on our table serval times. Will be back for the beer, but maybe with a full stomach next time!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Save your time and money and go elsewhere! This was the worst experience. Service was non existent. When drinks were delivered our food order was not taken. Our waitress seemed to have disappeared and once she appeared she just walked past our table. We had to flag her down to give our food order. After we finally ordered, It took over 45 minutes for food to come out. Food was delivered in shifts. It was 20 minutes after the first plate was delivered before the last one at the table received theirs. One order was missing a side and we asked for it to be taken off the bill. Instead of taking it off they charged extra for it. Management had an I Don t Care attitude. They were rude and just didn t care. It took three tries to get a correct bill. This is one place we will NEVER be returning to.

Food was overpriced for what you get. Service wasnt very good. Had to ask twice for everything, and it took forever to get. The atmosphere was okay, nothing special. There was a strong mildew smell in the hallway leading to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were a little dirty, and various things were in need of repair. I can think of better places I would rather spend my money and get a better experience. Parking: Plenty of parking. Easily park larger vehicles.

Great burger and sweet potato fries. Tasty chips and queso. Yummy chicken friend steak, potato salad, and steamed veggies. Adult beverages are a bit pricey, but good. Bartender seems to get backed up once in awhile, which sets your waiters/waitresses back some. Cool place to hang out and spend quality time with your amigos or family, especially in the outside area. Shot out to Josh, you Rock! Parking: Decent number of parking spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily get from the parking lot to the inside of the place with a wheelchair.

overall, impressed like parent whose son opens doors for his GF. Was out of elements for multiple margaritas, no soup of the day for at least a week according to server, ordered brisket baked potatoes(x3) and server came back 20 minutes later to tell us they were out of that too, we werent informed tip was added automatically for a party of 6 until we paid. And when I paid cash, I didnt receive my change either. Service was really slow as well and meals over priced. $20 for a half size appetizers is a bit much. Also, never offered a refill on water. I wont go back.

Went once more...everything perfect EXCEPT, the waiter didnt let me review my receipt prior to paying, I told him we would pay his tip with cash, he accepted the cash and the forgot to bring us the receipt. Before leaving I did ask for it, just to find out there was already almost a 50 tip added. He could of at least let us know before accepting the extra cash. Just saying... Chloe is a terrible waitress, if she cannot handle the stress she shoud go to Dennys. Basic food, not what I expected for $18 fish (2-small pieces) & fries. The food quality was poor and room temperature when it arrived to me. The fries were soggy, I had to send them back to remade. Bartender Luis brought the remade fries and says these are on the house lol, I paid for this. Luis was initially rude when I had some menu questions. Once he recognized I caught on to it, he settled. I do not plan to be back, unless I m adventurous and willing to be disappointed with my next dish. Waste of money in my opinion. Good luck.

Our waiter did a good job. The kitchen, bar and maniger were the problem. It was not a busy night in the restaurant which is why we felt so disappointed bout our experience Appraiser was burnt The adult beverage was not served the way it was on the menu and was served 20 minutes after the appetizer was served. Husband food was overcooked and served cold. My dinner was Okay but also served cold When we told mange about the experience she took 10-15 to come to our table. Remember the dinning room was not full at all.

First time here. 100% would not come back. The food is way too good. The service is amazing and very attentive. The piano music they had was way too good and mellow. There was even a local wildlife attack on a group of friends as a bug landed on one and they freaked. Epic entertainment. All seriousness, 100% recommended. Visited a so-called German beer garden recently, and it was disappointingly off the mark. The Wurtzel, a dish I had high hopes for, was a letdown. Moreover, for a place that prides itself as a beer garden, the beer selection was underwhelming, to say the least it felt more suited to a mixed drinks menu. The live music was decent, offering a slight reprieve from the overall lackluster experience. My advice? Steer clear if you re seeking an authentic German vibe or a diverse beer lineup.

Since the death of my German Wife, I have missed her cooking, especially meals from pork - roasts & schnitzel. Today went to the Quarry Hofbrau & Beer Garden for lunch. Got there before 1200 oclock opening & waited at one of the tables. Punctually, , a waiter took my order & drink & food were delivered in staggering order. A HofBrau Beer, Salad & the Jager Schnitzel with other side, a potato salad. My Bill came to $33.00. Both salad & lightly battered oversized schnitzel were appetizingly displayed. According to my favorite brother, the beer selection was not quite to his liking. But since I do not really drink beer I can neither confirm nor deny his analysis. I will say theyre iced tea is pretty good! I enjoyed their chicken fried chicken and it was pretty juicy and tasty. My cool brother consumed the chops steak meal and enjoyed it as well. We sat outside in the nice cool evening with the string lights lighting the area, it was a nice relaxing atmosphere. If I am ever in the area again I think I will go back to this one. Unfussy, uncrowded, and great food! Highly recommend the carrot cake it has everything (coconut, carrot and pistachios) in it. So delicious We ordered the Bavarian pretzel and fried mushrooms and pecan crusted tilapia for Lent and I gotta say the poblano rice was so delicious. I could ve had a plate of that and the vegetables you can tell that they were fresh. They still had that crunch to them, but they were roasted and delicious and flavorful , this place really does go out of its way to serve delicious food. I m always surprised that when I go it s not overwhelmingly crowded and there s always parking and the service was great. Plenty of outdoor seating and booths inside. Perfect for the mom flamingos that need to get their pink back. Plenty of beautiful and tasty margaritas. 1. My mom loved the cheesecake. Its baked and not too sweet. New York style. 2. We loved the service, very attentive, very courteous and not too crowded. 3. Mom liked the pretzel with the cheese and sausage on top and she loved the huge fried mushrooms. They were well cooked all the way through. 4. She ordered the chicken fried chicken. The chicken was huge! juicy tender breast underneath all that crispy crunchiness. Recommend the sweet potato fries as a side. 5. I ordered the schnitzel and it was thin, crispy with savory onion mushroom gravy. Vegetarian options: They have fried mushrooms fried pickles, pretzels with mustard, salads and sides that are vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: For keto they got sausage and cheese plates they got mixed vegetables and cabbage. Parking: Large parking lot an added next-door parking lot with the breakfast spot next-door. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance has no stairs

I came as I do every year to celebrate St. Patricks day and enjoy some food and drinks. It was dead, with probably no more than 10 tables total in the whole restaurant. We ordered some drinks and some food and got our drinks relatively quickly. The food however took well over an hour. Not only that but we paid for the extra queso on our burgers ($1.50 extra) only to find less queso on our burger than a emptied out container from the store. Also all the add-ons were incorrect. The server asked us about everything and we told her very clearly we just simply wanted some adjustments. She took our food away only to come back and tell us our food was removed from our tab. We assumed okay it was comped and well just wait for the correct food to come. No, they removed our food and never made any attempt to replace it with what we originally ordered. So we came here for food and drinks and left hungry. Terrible experience, the chefs cant seem to get orders right and the owner doesnt want to feed their customers. Never coming here again. Regular customers permanently lost.

Let me start by saying I do not like leaving bad reviews but this was by far one of the grossest dining experiences I have ever had. (If I could leave zero stars I would have.) I felt so bad for the waiter because he tried so hard to make us comfortable his effort was sincerely appreciated. My husband and I finally had a day off together and wanted to grab a bite at a new place we walked in the minute it opened and immediately were met with a horrible smell of old beer or rotting meat we couldn t tell. I was trying not to make a big deal and saw they opened doors so decided to stay. While reading my menu a baby roach crawled onto my hand from the table which turned my stomach. Menus were sticky and stank like old beer. Waiter moved us to another table and kept apologizing still, decided to stay waited for our food while flies circled the clean sticky, smelly wood tables, odor in the air at its fiercest looked across the room to another clean table and there were flies on it. A group of people walked in and sat and a roach was crawling up one of the woman s legs so naturally she yelled by the time out food came our stomachs had turned so much we lost our appetites. I couldn t eat the rest of that day. Never again.

To start, the staff was incredibly friendly and on top of everything, when I was there. Could not have asked for a better waiter. The food was pretty good, but it wasnt quite 5 star level, in my opinion. The atmosphere was pretty nice, the bathrooms were clean, and it wasnt overcrowded. Parking can be an issue, my family and I had to park down the street. All that being said, If you havent been to the Quarry Hofbrau, I highly recommend you check it out.

Came here for just drinks the atmosphere was very nice and our server Eric was amazing . The drinks were super delicious. My only negative comment was that we were sitting inside then all of a sudden we start smelling a horrible sewer smell that was so intense that I wanted to vomit. We moved our group outside and that s where we finished our night. Outdoors was so nice on the porch area they had corn hole and outdoor heaters. Management should really do something about that stench and we would love to go back.

I went with the intent on ordering schnitzel. I went a few years ago and loved it. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I noticed that it was not busy and took a few moments for someone to come out to seat us. We sat for 15 minutes before someone stopped by our table. The waitress said she didnt know who was supposed to have our table, but she would be our waitress. I noticed that the menu had changed significantly. They no longer offered the German potatoes and purple cabbage that came with the schnitzel. They offered a regular potato salad and cabbage that looked like it was just thrown together. I was a bit disappointed. The service was extremely slow, and I was not excited about the side items on the menu. If I ever decide to return to this establishment, it would be for the drinks and appetizers. I would not recommend this restaurant for authentic German food.

This was my wife s and I s first time here as we were just looking for an outdoor atmosphere with good food to just have a day date at, and this place couldn t have fulfilled that any better. The moment we walked in we were greeted and the staff let us pick where we wanted to sit, and Kennedy was AMAZING!!!! She sat us, talked with us and welcomed our new born as well but was so helpful in every way, getting us a heater as it was a little breezy but also recommending her go too s on food. She was coming back to check on us at a good pace and make sure we had everything we needed and created such a fun environment for us. To have this be the first experience for us set the tone and expectation and we cannot wait to come back and have more fun and memories and of course have Kennedy be our server. Thank you again!

This place is a great place to hang out, especially on the patio. This visit, we went to pick up our son at the airport and brought his 8-yo dog with us as a surprise welcome. We were able to sit on the patio with our dog, eat a very relaxing dinner and then onto the airport. The staff even brought our dog a bowl of water and made sure she was okay, as she relaxed at our feet on the patio. Great place to hang out on a nice evening to watch live music and enjoy drinks. The burgers were quite good and the staff was friendly. Parking may be an issue on a busy night. Parking: Plan to get there early if a band is playing.

A new car atmosphere with good food and lots if beer and cocktail choices. Seems expensive but the servings are so big we always take home another meal. The Jager schnitzel was the size of the platter. Fresh grilled veggies and salads were excellent. Tried sausage cheese platter with a big soft pretzel and mustard that also excellent. Well go back.

Although my dish, the Jager Schnitzel was good, this place offers very very little in German Cuisine. I lived in Germany and visited this restaurant about 5 years ago when they served more german food. I am legitimately perplexed about this place. I ve been coming here for over a year and have had nothing but great experiences. The food is great. The drink is great. The people are great. For reasons beyond my understanding, anytime I ve ever come here, the place is empty. I don t understand why. Look at this Jager Schnitzel. It s the biggest one I ve seen in my life and it s delicious. They also have a very good selection of craft beer. Yet, no one is ever here! I don t get it. Maybe you know something I don t, but from my experience, I love it here!

Thursday morning was surprisingly busy when I came in with my family. Young man named Jay took care of us completely. He even made the drinks for us and they were great! The food was delicious he recommended the cheese and sausage board for our party of 5 which was a great recommendation the sausage is authentic and really good. The dos a Rita s are huge and the entrees are very generous portions! Will be back for the live bands on the weekends and reverse happy hour !

I went there and sat 15 minutes. No one attended me. Wasnt crowded so that want an excuse. I guess they dont need the business or they have a manager who doesnt care about customer service. My party had the Jäger Schnitzel, Chopped Steak, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and the Wurst Plate. All were very delicious, but the Wurst Plate was definitely the star! We also ordered the Orange & Cream margarita, which was unique and tasty as well. Parking: Since its close to the Alamo Quarry Market and other restaurants, a lot of the parking was taken up (all of the 2-3 handicapped parking was occupied). Luckily, we were able to find a spot next door. Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances were wheelchair accessible!

Ive been coming to Hofbrau for years. Ive always loved it bc of their amazing margarita menu. This visit, I noticed they significantly downsized their margarita menu. Before it was a front and back menu with pictures and now its just one sided. The booths underneath the lamps are HOT. we had to ask to move to a table under the fans bc it was so uncomfortable and we were all sweating m. Im not sure if the lamps are too close to the tables and making it hot or their AC was out. Everyone enjoyed their food. But right as we were cashing out with the server, we noticed THREE roaches crawling on the floor. Absolutely disgusting. If there are roaches in the dining area, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.

There was no wait, the hostess was kind. We werent greeted by our server for almost 10 minutes. A waitress that passed us 3 times touched base with us to make sure we got some drinks and to figure out who our server was. Turns out our server was an older lady with a wrist wrap who was just leaning on their kiosk the entire time we were waiting. She hid in the back most of the time. We saw her a total of 3 times, once for our drinks/order (she came out with the waters we asked for and we ordered at the same time), once when our food was ready, and then one more time to pay the bill. We ran out of water. And then we waited almost another 10 minutes to get our check after we finished. They have electronic card readers they take your order on and have you pay on at the table. Makes it awkward to leave an underwhelming tip for an underwhelming server.

My girlfriend and I visited for the first time today. The inside of the building was the kind of vibe I love, rustic with German inspiration. She had the pretzel and I had the schnitzel and waffles. Everything was great! The pretzel was a little dry compared to some other German restaurants weve been to but it more than made up for it with the delicious cheese sauce! The schnitzel and waffles were a nice combination of sweet and savory! I washed it down with a weisbier. Our sever Damian was very attentive and welcoming! Overall it was a great experience and well be back to try the rest of the German offerings!

I went last night to enjoy a few drinks and a huge roach comes crawling from out the booth we were sitting at as I approached to tell the manager to show him the picture and to refund me my money back he refused and sent a server just to clean the table which they did when we first walked in he wanted me to talk to him nicely like it was normal for roaches to come crawling out cause pest control comes once a week and because theres people going in out which is bull, all in all I felt disgusted that I even drank out the cups the manager treated us horribly and went to hide in the office. Ive never experienced anything like this and I will not going back to this establishment.

I wanted to like it, menu looks promising walked in on a Thursday afternoon, had the brisket baked potato didn t taste like brisket, the brisket tasted like carne seca, and the meat definitely wasn t fresh, probably a few days old. My hubby had the Reuben sandwich Jason s Deli has a much better Reuben sandwich. We should have gone next door to Ida Claire, fresh food and great service. Sad take on BBQ brisket. I expected more being at the Quarry Not coming back
