Food was great I went back a 2nd time because I liked the 1/2 chicken but the 2nd time around the chicken was undercooked, meat hard to come off bone. I give the food 4 stars, because the brisket sandwiches taste nice at first, but recently they tasted a little dry. I prefer this brisket sandwiches here than at Rudys barbecue. To the people that read my reviews. I tried to get a pic of where people can relax, but I made the others uncomfortable so I tried to take a quick picture so they can enjoy there meals.

I went on a weekend during lunch. They were busy. Our waiter was good but had too many tables and was stretched a little thin. Potato salad and cole slaw were excellent. Both the chicken and brisket were very flavorful, just a bit dry. Overall an excellent experience. I will probably return.

We ordered the following from the menu. The brisket sandwich came with onion rings and a salad. I give it 10 stars, best meal. We ordered a baked potato on the side OMG best ever, super delicious. My husband ordered the fajita tacos. They were so juicy, and tender on flour tortillas was the best with a street corn on the side is also the best. For being the first time here, it is so good but pricey but delicious and worth every dollar.

We went for lunch and waitress offered us to sit in outside area. We were fine, it was just the fact that our waitress NEVER acknowledged us. We were servwd on disposable plates and disposable cups versus customers eating indoors. The waitress never came out to chk on us, and food was brought out wrong. This girl had the worst customer service attitude, and not to mention, the male waiting staff was heard expressing themselves in a very vulgar manner of the customers asking for refills. The tip was includes on my ticket when this waitress NEVER went to go check up on us. So needless to say, NEVER GOING BACK. Rather stick to Rudys bbq

I have decided to update my review. Ive had the pleasure of eating in and taking out from the mcallen location. Today, I must say, wasnt a pleasant one. First of all, i called them back to express customer concern. I asked for Alex, a very nice and respectful employee. Instead, i was passed over to the General manager, who wasnt exactly very patient. So...i told him in brief how upset i was with my meal preparation. Terrible slicing of brisket and beef fajitas. I have changed my mind on service from this locality. I dont think Ill be having 1 plus inch wide sliced brisket and beef fajitas. Replace the slicer(s)... youll lose the customer if you do not pride yourselves on selling an appealing meal.

Months ago I tried a smoked baked potato and it was super delicious. The last time I ordered it, the potato was very bland and the consistency of the potato suggested it was boiled not smoked. Today I specifically asked if the potato was smoked and they said yes, but again, it has no flavor and has the consistency of a boiled potato. The potato skin has no color which really makes me believe these potatoes are not smoked at all and theyre selling you a boiled potato with meat.

Although the brisket was tender it had no flavor. Beef ribs were ok, not enough meat for the price. Too much garlic on rice. Sausage was tastier than the brisket. Service is slow and wait time for food too long. Sweet tea was good. This was highly recommended by ArnieTex on YouTube, since I was making a trip down here from Ohio I thought Id try it out. Highly disappointed.... Parking: Short, narrow parking spaces.

Everything was pretty good. My four star rating comes from the fact that some of the food was a little overly salty. Secondly, during my last visit, the wait staff would forget to check in on us and forget what exactly it is that we ordered. The things that made up for that was the cleanliness of the place, the food was still good despite it being a little bit too salty, and that the waiters attitude was very friendly.

The food was good; however, the only good service we experienced was being greeted upon entering. Out of the three waiters there tonight, one was busy watching NBA playoffs on his phone, our waiter basically ghosted us all night, and the last waiter was decent, but annoyed in providing us service because our waiter was to busy on her phone. The nice tile floor was dirty & sticky. Food was thrown on ground. Tables were all dirty and there wasnt a clean table to sit on so we politely asked them to clean the table we chose and the male waiter grabbed a dirty rag and wiped it down. There was tons of flies all over. Establishment was nice, but filthy. Overall, experience wasnt great for a 1st time visit. Needless to say, the bad service & dirty establishment discourages us from visiting again. 1 & Done!

I called ahead several times to place a ln order and no one ever answered. I drove across town to place the order in person. I waited at the front counter a while. Wait staff would come and place orders at the POS system there at the front counter next to me and tell me that someone would tend to me shortly. Finally, another person walked in after me and she was attended to immediately. When I stated I had been waiting patiently before her, I was told to wait until they tended to her first. WOW!! Never been served moist brisket sliced with the grain. Made the brisket stringy (obviously) and tough. Sliced against the grain it probably would have been tender. Chairs are to small for full size people so its uncomfortable to sit correctly its very cold you need a sweater or jacket, corn was too salty, macaroni and cheese salty 3 meat plate we choose fajita, brisket and sausage and portion was 2 strips of brisket, 4 strips of fajita and 8 slices of sausage (corn and macaroni most of it was left behind as we didnt enjoy it due to saltyness. The other thing we bought which was amazing was the dinosaur Rib yummy! This is my opinion you have to try it yourself and leave your experience.

Be aware that the price on the menu is not the price you pay for your meal. There have been some price increases and you get charged more than you think. The waitress will NOT inform you of this. You dont find out till you get your check. When we questioned the higher charge we were told there was a price increase and there was nothing they could do. We will not go back!

This place was recommended to me by a classmate & I was very surprised with their food. My boyfriend is a chef so taking him anywhere means critiquing the food. He actually spoke pretty well of the meals we had (the 3 meat). My daughter also enjoyed it much. The only flaw we had was the freeZing cold temperature. I didnt have my cardigan that day & felt numb to my feet;other then that 2 thumbs up.

This place is great. I really enjoyed their style of BBQing. They have it all. From brisket to lamb. Its also very reasonable in regards to price. Ill definitely be back.

Food was amazing got the brisket, fajita, and jalapeno cheddar sausage tacos my favorite was brisket and the sausage!! Definitely would go back probably best bbq in town!!!

A means to an end if youre craving BBQ, it was ok. Their menu does state that prices change depending on market value so just be ready for a potentially expensive meal. They only have 2 BBQ sauces, a regular one and a spicy one so if you dont like either then youre out of luck.

Food is good and service is good. Just don t go by the current prices on the menu. Servers are great for suggesting additional items but don t advise on current value market up. Some items are marked up to $2.00 more than menu price. You need to ask for the current market value on some menu items. I didn t notice the note on the bottom of the menu until it was time to pay. Too expensive.

Below average BBQ place. Brisket was super dry (even though I ordered moist). Sausage came warm at best. The place has very small tables (for four people). Also, very expensive. Overall, not a good place to eat BBQ.

I was so exited to go and eat at this place everyone was talking about unfortunately I get out of work late and when I showed up we still had 45 min till closing, at which point i was told they were only taking take out orders, so I left. A little disappointed that we couldnt eat there with that much time left and I dont think Ill go back.

We ordered (The Sony)I love this plate In my opinion this is the most amazing plate on the menu with its amazing melting cheese n brisket in your mouth the meat they have is specialty n the cooks make the best smoked meat in town the fries are awesome as well n finally topping off this plate with a drink I recommend this plate over any other on the menu you want specialty this the plate the cooks n the restaurant to get 5 star food 492 BBQ Edinburg Tx

The food is very unpleasant and the cooks dont use Maya on their heads, I got a hair. The MC cheese tastes like cardboard. They dont make it there.

The BEST hands down everything was super filling our eyes were hungrier than our stomach my hubby was like no you finish it I was like no you finish the last piece of fajitas by the way super tender & juicy the Mac super good the peach cobbler yummm OOOHHHMG! Really tasty bbq spot that looks like a big chain fancy restaurant but packs a lot of flavor. It tste great in my opinion without the spicy bbq sauce but I love that hot spice. We literally got almost all the appetizers to try a little of everything and boy did we fill up. Portions are good and enough to share for sure. Server was helpful & very informative, kitchen prepped food quick & hot. Definitely will keep coming back for more soon.
