The food was superb. I really enjoyed the egg drop soup and feel it is one of the best I have ever had. Also, the eggplant was excellent. The service was prompt and the waiter was very polite. Something I have never commented about on a review is about the chairs. Very plush and comfortable. We ordered the lunch specials and were priced at about $11. The portions were large and the food was hot and tasty.

The food wasn t bad at all, which is why I m giving it three stars but my goodness they really need to get it together. So my husband ordered online around 8:20 PM through the website the message we received stated that the food will be ready at 9:05 so he left our house around 8:45. When he arrives at the restaurant they stated the food was still not ready, which was fine because it still was not 9:05 well, more time past 20 minutes then 30 minutes then 40 minutes and the food was still not ready during this time. My husband had been asking how much longer until the food is ready and they could not give him a time and they just stated that they got backed up with online orders. So with his frustration, my husband told them he wanted to cancel his order, but since he placed the order through their website, they said it was DoorDash, and that he needed to go directly through DoorDash to cancel his order, but the problem is we didn t order through the DoorDash app that we don t have. We ordered through the website and we were not giving a link or a confirmation of any kind to cancel the order. They were mad and angry with my husband for wanting to cancel his order, but I wish they would understand that it is unacceptable having customers wait over an hour for their meals.

Hot & Sour Soup was the worst Ive had. It wasnt spicy hot and wasnt sour. We had 3 dishes: Chicken & Broccoli, a Tofu dish, and an Eggplant dish. Each dish was drowned with too much oily sauce. Had to spoon off all the excess oil, which constituted 1/3 of the dish. Very disappointed in the food.

Prompt, frequent, cheerful service. Seaweed salad was a rare choice for an American Chinese restaurant. The grilled redfish fillet was fully cooked, moist, tender and lightly seasoned. It was smothered with sauteed, peppered, tender yellow onions and included a large portion of fried rice with whole, salad-sized shrimp. The deep fried shrimp were moist and lightly seasoned with a crisp breading.

This place has been around for quite a while. I ve been here many times. It seems to have changed owners along the way, but the food remains fresh and very hot to your table. Service was excellent. We did not have to wait in line and the food came out quickly. The ribs were delicious. My friend had the pork with the garlic sauce. It showed one pepper on the menu. It was quite spicy for him. I had vegetable lo mein that was excellent, and the ribs were very meaty yum . I highly recommend it and I think you ll love it. The prices are very reasonable. Find me next time looking for something new always Parking: A lot of free great parking no need for handicap spots, but there is no ramp for anyone who has wheelchair accessible.

I usually really enjoy ordering food from here. The food is always good, but today, I had a terrible interaction with the person I placed my order with. It was a young man instead of the usual woman who takes orders. He acted like he had somewhere else better to be, and tried to argue me down for an alternate phone that is used for our delivery orders. However, I was placing the order and wanted to be contacted if anything went wrong, so why does he need the other number. It left a bad taste in my mouth, and if I get him on the phone again, Ill go elsewhere for lunch.

What has happened to this restaurant? It has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for YEARS. The food doesnt taste the same at all. In the past, the food was fresh and full of flavor. Now, the fried rice tastes horrible like it is old. The entrees are full of mushy vegetables instead of their usual crisp news. This has all happened in the past couple of months that the food has gone downhill. Did someone else take over, or was it bought by a different owner who does not care about the quality of the food.

Consistent! They are fresh, punctual, and they read the Special notes/requests section when ordering online (which i appreciate sooooo much!!) I never have to worry if they included any specific sauces I requested because they also take note of any special requests I note. Theyre also friendly and straight to the point if you are rushing by during a lunch break, which is helpful. You can tell they take pride in their services and food.

05/05/2024: Dine in today was TOP NOTCH! Super-crowded but service was still great and food was delish! So, eating in had been delightful for at least like 10 times-probably more. Wife and i went in on Easter Sunday at 10:45, at that time we were the only guests. We both ordered a starter and a main. My wife received her starter and main dish together, 10 minutes later my starter arrived. After wife had finished all her meals it took 25 minutes to get my main course. In these 25 minutes our waitress had disappeared. During our meal we were never asked if everything is OK or if we want our sodas / water refilled. Guy taking phone orders in Dickinson cant comprehend anything. I order the same thing everytime I order from there. Had to repeat my order 3x to him and he still got it wrong. Everytime he repeated it back to me he kept leaving things out. Today my order was totally different when I got home. I called to let them know, this time a girl answers and I tell her the situation....well of course she said she heard him repeat the order back to me. I guess she remembers every order that comes thru the phone even if she wasnt the one taking the order!! They werent interested in making it right and I couldnt go back because I live to far away. This used to be my favorite Chinese spot, but the food quality isnt as good as it used to be. My sesame chicken was overcooked and dry with hardly any sauce. I substituted vegetable fried rice for an additional charge and only got a couple of pieces of broccoli added in addition to the small chopped onions and carrots and tiny pieces of sliced baby corn, and it was rather bland. Based on the explanation given to me over the phone, I was under the impression that I would be getting a half portion of the vegetable fried rice that is ordinarily served as an entrée. If THAT is the entree passing as vegetable fried rice then it is a complete rip off for 12! I suggest anyone in this area that wants fried rice go just down the street to Kabuki and get it there. It is far superior.

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The chicken for the sweet-and-sour chicken was so overcooked and soaked in grease you couldn t even bite into it. The wonton soup was a bunch of mush. The fried rice was dried and hard, and the eggrolls were greasy and soggy. We spent $68.43 on mostly inedible food, plus tip. We threw most of it away. Our stomachs hurt afterwards.

I will start off with the positive. The egg rolls were fresh and delicious. The server was friendly at 1st, but when there was an issue, very cold and totally different attitude. My son and I stopped here today for dinner, his choice. We ordered egg roll and seaweed salad and then our main meals. The server brought out my egg roll & my sons main meal at the same time. I thought that was kinda odd, so he waited to eat until I received my meal. Sherver brought my son his seaweed salad, so he ate that & I ate my egg roll. I ordered what I ordered at every Chinese restaurant, the chicken and mixed vegetables. About 7 minutes later, she brought my chicken & mixed vegetables. What she brought didnt look like anything Id ever seen before. It had no color to it, and it had a clear glaze over it all. Ive always had a brown sauce on my chicken & vegetables. I told her something was wrong with my order, and I didnt see the brown sauce. This has a clear sauce. The waitress told me it was white sauce, umm excuse me, Ive never heard of this before. She told me I shouldve told her I wanted brown sauce. I have never been given any options at any Chinese restaurant in any state or city where Ive lived it. Chicken & vegetables have always just cane with brown sauce. I asked her how was I to know I had a choice, you didnt ask me? She said it always comes with white sauce. Not true, Ive eaten at this restaurant once before & ordered the same thing. It automatically came with brown sauce. I literally have never heard of white sauce at a Chinese restaurant. All I know is that it looks very unappealing to where I no longer wanted a meal. The boiled chicken & clear glaze that they called white sauce, yuck! Anyway, the server told me they would fix it, that I had already ordered it. I kept telling her no, Ill just take another egg roll. She made it sound like she was going to rake it to the back & put some brown sauce on top of the white sauce. I again told her no, thank you. She said she couldnt do anything, so she went and got someone to come over. The lady that came over, again, wanted to make me the same dish with white sauce, but I didnt want the meal at all. Its as if they just wanted to argue with me. I didnt want it, thats not what I ordered, nor do I want them to remake or put brown sauce on it, I lost my appetite for chicken & vegetables at that point. Im assuming the manager was the one that came over, not one time did her or the waitress apologize. They both were rather rude actually and the manager had a look on her face that wasnt very pleasant. The waitress from that point had little interaction with us. I will say I will not be returning to this restaurant. Its fine to male a mistake, but its never ok to be rude and argumentative. Like I said, if there are options, it should say on the menu and/or the waitress should ask which sauce. Never again will I go back.

Great food; very fresh and everything cooked to perfection; sesame chicken (premium cuts and so tender) dish was enough for three, with plenty of sesame seeds and sauce/glaze; steamed green beans were perfectly cooked; awesome wonton soup; great leftovers too. Orange chicken is also the best I ve ever had! Now, my only go-to Chinese for take-out and dining in.

today, my husband and I ate lunch here. After choking on egg shell in fried rice, I spoke to the staff. They wasnt concern of ours or others health. Never again will we ever eat their again!

I walked in and no one spoke to me I spoke to the cashiers and waiting like 20 seconds just for a response if I didn t already preorder for my mom I would ve turned around and walked out . Rude idk how the food taste tho.

I was visiting family in Houston. We were suggested to try 888 Chinese Restaurant. Food was excellent, service was great, nice atmosphere. When I came back to Houston I will definitely visit here again. Location was in Dickinson. I highly recommend this place.

I asked for my food to be on a Chinese take out box and they freaked out. I asked for light vegetables and the freaked out. Anything outside of the norm is a problem every time I call. No matter the request.

Vegetarian options: I was not happy with the service or the food!!! I ordered Jalapeño Chicken with fried rice but I received some salty Thai chicken with celery, green onions & cilantro e we other small strips of chicken and the rice was bland with no flavor and had small pieces of broccoli . It was very bad and had no spice whatsoever!!!! I called and the manager was not helpful in me getting it corrected!!!

Loved the food! Excellent quality! They made/ brought my son the fish instead of the chicken, but it was ok because they quickly made the right one. Wish they had actual chicken nuggetts instead of sweet and sour style chicken on the kids menu! Overall, it was a great experience, and we will return! Vegetarian options: Fresh vegetables and rice and noodles are great!

I ordered the brocolli beef dinner and it looked fine at first, but then a pool of oil (I assume peanut oil) started for form around the dish. The brocolli & beef were swimming in a pool of oil! I let the waitress know to tell the cook that he is using way too much oil. I probably wont be back. :(

Best Chinese food in the area hands down, literally everything is good here but I can personally speak for the sesame chicken, general tsp s chicken, the cream cheese rangoons, house fried rice and my absolute favorite, the lo mein! Their delivery is super fast and always still hot and when you eat in the actual restaurant, their silverware, dishes and cups are spotless, as well as the actual cleanliness of the restaurant.

We always enjoy going to this Chinese Restaurant but the recent visit was horrible My wife ordered a chicken plate and wanted chicken well done the waitress said that was possible When we received the food chicken was not well done and they refused to cook the chicken anymore we them asked if we could switch to a different option they told is no we would have to pay for the meal Very disappointed

Coming back from Galveston googled Chinese food near 888 pops up we get there we knocked on the door they were 2 team members seating there and watching videos the girl at the register didn t even care to inform us that the entrance is from the other side saw a customer pulled up to the door I realized the entrance is from here Ohk nvm I ask that mam I wanted to dine in she said we close @10pm I was like Google says 11pm so what she started making faces the girl at the cash counter we asked Togo ? She made a face and said let me check I m extremely disappointed with the team and I feel really sorry for the owner he s money is getting wasted either the owner should change the employees or else he might ve to go out of business with this attitude in hospitality industry never going back and making sure this review does wonders
