Family decided to get pizza for Dinner so we tried Roma Bistro Desoto Texas location after having a not so great experience in the past. At onetime they were awesome but declined so we stopped supporting them. Again we decided to try them again because of the reviews posted recently. Well its not better ordered a simple xxl pizza half beef and half sausage with extra cheese and sauce but we only got cheese toast with meat. we couldnt identify the meat, extra cheese or sauce. I call and I was given 10% off my order. $32. IT WANT HAPPEN AGAIN Romas In Desoto Texas Ill go to Duncanville TX theyre alot better. Shame on you Romas Bistro Desoto Texas we deserve better!

I m so enamored with the food at Roma s! The food is so flavorful! I m from Chicago and the pizza there is phenomenal! Roma s pizza is flavorful, it s seasoned all the way to the crust which is so flaky and buttery. Just the thought makes my taste buds sing! Now let s get down to the pasta! Pasta has to be cooked exceptionally well for me to like it! Roma s pasta hands down is better than any other pasta I ve had and a I ve been to several restaurants! What makes this restaurant great is the EXCEPTIONAL customer service! From the servers to the owners who came out and greeted our table! They inquired how are food was, gave us snippets on where they were from as well as how they named some of their menu items! They were very personable! You can t beat that time of service! I ve been twice and I m planning my next trip! Thank you Roma s for such an AMAZING dining experience!

This was a really good place but the pizza was super greasy and too much cheese. For some reason the pizza was salty too. This place use to be good I don t know what happened. I don t think I ll be back. The staff was really nice. You definitely need to reevaluate your ingredients and cooking techniques. The pizza dough wasn t even crispy.

I did a call in order for a meat lovers with jalapeño . This is my go to order for my family of 3 . It s a big pizza so we usually have a couple of slice leftover and it s the best tasting pizza I ve had in this area. Also my cousin tried the pizza for the first time today and she was impressed about how many toppings are on it and said it tasted so good. Also the service was excellent and my order was ready when I got there.

I ordered a meat lovers with extra sauce and a 10 pcs wing for takeout. The customer service was good when I went to pick up and the environment of the restaurant was welcoming. The food was mid as hell, I didn t get my extra sauce on the pizza and along with being dry as hell, it didn t taste good to me or my family. The wings were not any better and looked nothing like on the website. The first impression turned me off from ever trying this place again. Definitely wish them the best though!

Romas has the most delicious pizzas. I had the meat lovers and loved it. I also ate the shrimp Alfredo pasta! Wow! This food is so flavorful. Definitely give this place a visit soon! The service was also amazing. So attentive! Parking: I got front row parking. Since Romas is conveniently located in a strip it has a big parking lot.

DO NOT order pizza from this location!!! I ordered a large supreme pizza during lunch. The pizza was undercooked, all the toppings were falling off, pizza had little to no sauce and the cheese was rubbery. I spoke with management via phone and his response was: maam Ive been at this location for two years and NO ONE has ever complained! Ill call slice (the delivery service) and have them give you a refund. He disconnected the call...

Romas is now my friend s and my new favorite place! We were in the Desoto area looking for pizza nearby and decided to give this place a try & it far exceeded any expectations we had. Seriously, from the caesar salad to the Cajun pasta everything was amazing. My favorite was the White Wonder pizza that we added pepperoni to (currently eating leftovers of this right now). We didn t even think to take pictures of the food because we were so hungry and it was just THAT good. And can we talk about the service? The food came out quick, and the owner was super friendly and personable! Will definitely be back very very soon with more friends. If you need a place for a small family or friend gathering of about 40 people, this is the place! Conveniently located in Desoto, not far from City Hall, this black-owned restaurant offers a variety of Italian dishes. Last month, I approached the owner to reserve a space for my daughters high school graduation lunch. We were able to work out a plan for the menu, payed my deposit and I scheduled the date. Please note any additional food requested has to be paid the day of the event. I was pleasantly surprised and my expectations were exceeded when we arrived. My friend was allowed to bring in a small amount of decorations early for setup before the guests arrived. When we walked in, we were served our meal spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, garlic bread, and a drink within minutes, all accompanied by soft jazz music playing in the background. Their service was excellent, and I was glad I did not need to deal with renting a facility, bringing in food, drinks, seating arrangements, etc. We gathered, blessed the food, ate, took pictures, cleaned up the decorations we brought, and left within two hours. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for small events but also for individual lunch or dinner needs. I will definitely be a return customer.

My brother was visiting from Louisiana and he wanted some Italian food. I told him about this black owned restaurant and he was surprised and wanted to try it. We were both so impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, flavorful and portions were perfect. The veal was so tender and melted like butter. The Cajun pasta was seasoned just right and not too spicy. I asked for lettuce and tomato and chicken. First he put cheese on it! And the tea is the weakest & when asked for a refill was charged $6 for 2 glasses, maybe 6 ounces over a glass full of ice. The container is red to disguise the pale tea. I m very disappointed with $25 of nothing. And he never heard me say I wanted a box to go or no cheese. This man is impossible to deal with. The pizza is great. I have no complaints there. But I HAVE to say that the amount of oil in the Vodka sauce is insane. This has happened the last 2 times that I ve ordered the pasta with the vodka sauce. I guess the third time is a sign for me to learn my lesson and not order this again. Came from out of town for work. Ordered take out, since it was Valentines Day. Walked in and the Whole restaurant was filled with balloons and flowers and tables and chairs were slip covered. Absolutely Gorgeous! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was Wonderful! I Definitely reccomend this restaurant. We will be back for sure. Not sure who I had the interaction with but whoever he was did an amazing job, from taking my order on the phone, to recommending a great dish for me to try which was amazing, he said it was some special he had made, to end when I picked up my food. The atmosphere is awesome and way more than what I accepted from a smaller restaurant in a smaller city. All the tables had glass vases filled with clear beads and red valentines decorations. You can really tell who ever owns and runs this place really cares. Plus they have a bar!!! I would definitely be coming back!

Great pleasure to be at Romas today for lunch with a friend. It has a new owner in the past year, and I had heard great things, wanted to see for myself~~ We ordered one Large Pizza Supreme, and it was Delish! It had massive amounts of Pepperoni, Sausage, Canadian Bacon, Green & Red Peppers, Red Onions, Mushrooms, and Olives (we did not include the available hamburger) This pizza was HUGE, there were eight very large slices, with lots of cheese, and a very tasty crust. The owner was extremely personable and attentive. While waiting for our pizza, the owner brought us a complimentary serving of some fabulous rolls, we were definitely a fan of that. [ When we come back (And it will be soon,) I plan to order the Chicken Spaghetti, I saw such on another diners plate as it was being served, and I am ready to try that dish.] Romas menu is very large with reasonably priced dishes ~ This is definitely a hidden treasure for Desoto.

Its a clean cozy restaurant and the owner was really nice. But the food was terrible. Im from Chicago and I have a palette for Italian food. This was not it....I had the shrimp scampi with calamari. The shrimp scampi only had 5 shrimp and absolutely 0 flavor. Tasted like lemon juice. The marinara sauce that came with the calamari wasnt sweet and the calamari was ok.

If you regularly eat at this place I highly suggest requesting an itemized receipt. I ordered food here last night and I just handed the gentleman my card. He gives me the credit card receipt to sign and I was confused by the amount on the receipt. I asked him to give me an itemized receipt. I was charged an Address Info fee of $5.00. I was also charged a cash discount fee. I wasn t notified of either. When I questioned the gentleman he claimed he d never seen that before and handed me $5 in cash. He claims that he couldn t refund my card because they don t do that. I will be contacting my credit card company and will be submitting a complaint to the BBB. This place is shady.

I called this place three different times and each time someone on the other end pick up the phone and placed it on mute and hung up. I decided to just go up there instead and place my order. I get there and there was a black girl with a long pink braided ponytail that worked there and was on her cellphone. I honestly don t care if the workers are on their phone while the restaurant isn t busy but you could at least answer the phone when it rings and handle the to go orders? She wasn t rude but she wasn t enthusiastic either. I ordered Alfredo with extra sauce and while my food was hot when I got it, the quality of it was horrible. The sauce was soooo watered down. It was very soupy and running all over my plate. The pieces of chicken in the Alfredo were small and I barely had any chicken in it. The last time I came to this place I had PLASTIC in my shrimp Alfredo but I decided to give them another try and I was a fool. I will not be back and I honestly want a refund.

This place is a liar. I was doordashing at this location and the workers handed me the wrong order. I even asked where the pizza was for the order and they said it was inside the bag. I go to drop off the order and they customer looks inside and it s completely the wrong order and he s upset. I have to waste gas to drive back & pick up the right order and drive back bc this restaurant messed up and handed out someone else s food. Mind you there s no one in the restaurant they are not busy at all so to make this mistake is completely unacceptable. And they try and blame it on me and say it s my fault bc I took the wrong order but the workers have to literally hand you the order when you tell them the name so you can even get the order. Came in today and was greeted when I walked in with a smile. My server was a very nice, very attentive younger guy. I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread and ice cold drafts! My experience eating Romas this past Sunday. Sucked.. I will never eat their food again...I hope no one else does either. Old spaghetti. Watered down soupy sauce no meat in the entree even though it should have had some. Too expensive for old used watery food. Stuffed mushrooms that werent stuffed with anything just 4 mushrooms floating around in a bucket of pink sauce. Chefs special was not special at all...old hard spaghetti and some canned meat. I want a refund.

Even if they grow into a global giant! I guess I can share... Romas has some of the very best Italian food around! Their chef is always willing to whip up your favorite, a special request, or surprise you with his current masterpiece! They also have the biggest, freshest, best tasting AND most affordable pizza in the entire county! Ok. Well, now you know. Nice little strip mall restaurant. They currently dont have a liquor license, but they should have it very soon. The manager apologized and explained the situation. They were very busy with a table of 16 just before us, but they were able to serve us quickly enough. The menu said New York style pizza, which means thick crust, but they made a hand tossed regular crust on request. I had the shrimp with penne pasta. It was delicious, but the shrimp were regular 25-40 count shrimp, not the Tiger shrimp claimed in the menu. Vegetarian options: They have several meatless pasta and pizza options. I dont think they have any vegan options, however. Parking: This is a strip mall with plenty of space in the parking lot.

It was under new owners who were extremely polite and friendly to all their customers. My food was superb. Im so glad I stopped there for my . I also ended up with a chicken fettuccine dish. I ordered a Chicken Alfredo Pasta, and I got pasta with compressed chicken that I had I had to fine. I was expecting an actual sliced chicken breast cut into slices. First, my oder was delayed by 30 minutes because it was never sent to the kitchen. To top it off, the owner did not even acknowledge the fact that I waited for over 30 minutes for the order. When I looked at the oder and asked where is the chicken, he said its in there in small pieces. I was shocked when he said that. I asked for a refund and he said he does not give refunds....I was totally out done by that.

Stopped in to pick up some pasta for dinner. I noticed the decor had changed since my last visit and there was jazz softly playing. I ordered the daily special of chicken fettuccine and garlic bread. I briefly chatted with the new owner who was very personable. He thanked me for my patronage. The fettuccine was creamy and delicious. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The Alfredo sauce was top tier. Im a fan of pepper so needless to say I was a happy camper. I ordered the turtle and strawberry cheesecake. Both were amazing. I order delivery occasionally from this location and the food is always good and they give nice sized portions. The veal parmigiana is really good, the bread, the Greek salad and the Cajun pasta. I dined in for the first time two days ago with my friend in the evening and the customer service was excellent we were greeted at the door, the waitress checked on us, the manager touched our table as well to ask of our experience and they also gave us a salutation upon us leaving. Nice quaint little spot and it was clean. Update: Unfortunately I have to take my five star review away. Very disappointed I order here frequently at the Desoto location because the food is always on point. I ordered the Veal Parmagiana w/shrimp and salmon for my husband for delivery through Uber Eats last weekend Saturday May 13th. The sauce was skimpy and didn t cover all of the noodles which means my noodles were dry and hard by the time they got to me. The shrimp was hard and over cooked and not deveined and cleaned at all they had a funky smell. They weren t edible. It doesn t take shrimp that long to cook it s like they put it in the oven but it wasn t prepared right at all. I don t know if there s a new cook but it was a disappointment.

Extremely friendly service! Delicious chicken parmesan. House Italian dressing was deliciously unique. Red sticks were good but could have used a little osmic vinegar or olive oil. I walked in about an hour before closing on a Sunday night. They had already flipped the chairs and no longer selling wine. Visited Romas In Desoto Tx today 3/5! Black owners!! We happened to be visiting when they were there! They welcomed us in with smiles and recommendations for food that was AMAZING!! They start you off with garlic bread 10starrs, we ordered the cheese sticks 10stars, they were hot and fresh the cheese pull was on point!! We then ordered the Cajun Pasta it comes with chicken, sausage, and shrimp, it was a good portion enought to take home for sure because we did!!! Baby it was to die for! We also ordered the kids Fettuccine Alfredo it was a nice portion for a kids meal I tell ya!! After we paid our bill we had a conversation with the owners and they were so nice, down to earth, they told us about there journey on being owners of a Italian Bistro and life stories, we talked about our kids and everything and it was like we had already known them for years the conversations just flowed!! I wish I could give them 100 stars. I fell ill Friday the weekend of Valentines Day. I always do something special for my husband but this year I couldn t. I seen the Valentine s Day special for couples dining in and decided to call and see what arrangements I could make. I went here today with my family and was instantly greeted with kindness. They were super fast with getting our order ready, and checked up on us to see if we needed anything frequently. The employees seemed to genuinely care about their customers and even had a conversation with my little kiddos who also love to be a part of the conversation. :) one of my kiddos spilled his drink, and the employee immediately took care of the mess and was super nice about it. Working from out of town and Romas prices looked great. The small pizza was actually pretty big, the slices foldable and delicious, and was more than enough for dinner and lunch leftovers. The star for me was the stuffed mushrooms with the fresh bread to dip in that amazing sauce. Hands down it is the best stuffed mushrooms dish I have ever had! So good I ordered two nights in a row.
