I had the saute shrimp on dirty rice and it was amazing! The container was full of the brim, the seasoning was so delicious! I was licking it off the shrimp tails. I dont know what the sauce was that came on the side but I could have just about drank it! 10 out of 10 flavor wise!

Really hate I drove an hour to not even get food. I was really disappointed in the ambiance. U order at a concession type area then look for your table, like a school cafeteria. I love the Richardson location but this was 29 min closer. If this was separated in a designated area to eat it would be ideal, especially for the 25$ price per plate.

This food was exceptionally extraordinary! The best flavored and textured mac n cheese ever. The dirty rice and salmon was spectacular. The cabbage just needed a bit more seasoning. The service was wonderful and I love the location and all the other businesses that surrounded it. Do yourself a flavor and go on through!

First timer to this spot, and it wont be my last! I heard so much about the Jerk chicken pasta.. At first, I was like this is kinda pricey, but look at the picture below and youll see why.. This is easily 4 portions if you split the chicken thighs into 2! After ordering, it took about 20 minutes to get my food, and it was piping hot!! Theres creamy pasta and well seasoned- a touch spicy- jerk chicken.. I was with my sis and dad, and we all agreed 5 out of 5!! Thanks!

I went on yesterday to get my plate. The last time months ago was bad. I was thinking because it was a late order. This time it was open time: my salmon was hard and over cooked. The last three times was a bad experience. I got introduced to really good food and haven t had it in months! Very disappointing. $30 for the plate with sauce only to be full of rice and a small piece of burnt salmon. They didn t even have plastic ware.

Spent $73. Ordered Jerk Chicken and dirty rice(couscous) , a stuffed turkey leg with 1/2 lobster Mac 1/2 dirty rice(couscous), banana pudding and lemon cake. Both of the entree items lacked flavor. I feel that if you advertise rice, it should be just that and not couscous disguised as rice. The lemon cake was just ok and we haven t tried the banana pudding yet so I ll have to reserve my review of that.

I bought a stuffed turkey leg and Cajun chicken pasta. The customer service was fine, but the turkey leg was a bit dry. The Cajun pasta wasnt truly Cajun, and the chicken was overcooked and dry. The noodles were fresh and the sauce was decent, but nothing extraordinary. The total cost was about $26 after tax. I would rate my experience four stars.

First let me say the food was Amazing! It was flavorful and seasoned to perfection. My only issue was the price. For me and my husband to eat an oxtail plate and 2 drinks each it was $160. I thought that to be a little overpriced considering it was 4 oxtails per plate. I will return but we won t drink there because $20 per plain margarita on the rocks is a little expensive. Overall good food, if you have the funds to spend please go eat their food.

I ordered the sausage shrimp pasta and the sausage needs to be cooked longer. Skin was tuff and had gristle pieces throughout the sausage. I hate that!!! I had to throw away half the meal bc it was more sausage than shrimp. Please cook the meat and not boil it or not cook it long enough. So disappointed!!!

10/10 rating & here s why! For starters, I was reluctant because of the mixed reviews. It gave the impression that the Desoto Location wasn t good but Let me tell you It was amazing! I ordered the Turkey Leg Stuffed w/Lobster Mac and cheese and it was delicious! Not too salty or spicy which is just like I like it! Just enough to be considered comfort food. And the serving was big, I couldn t eat it all in one sitting. It is a bit pricier but I definitely think it s worth it. This dish is definitely one of my favs. The way the Turkey SLID OFF THAT BONE sent me straight to my happy place (I m a foodie if you couldn t tell). And let me not forget to mention that I didn t start eating until I made it home like 15 minutes later and when I opened it up IT WAS STILL HOT! Like howww???? I love my food hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, and it was ALL 3! What s my point?? If you haven t tried it yet just go. It was worth every penny to me! Food was a 7 out of 10. Very hot and fresh. But flavor wise its a 7. It looks amazing but its nothing you cant make at home. Or get at chilis restaurants. I was expecting bold flavors. The DeSoto location is horrible. They dont care if you order online or not if they are ready to close before their normal business hours they will and you will be hungry and stuck out. The food is entirely too high to have mediocre service. If your business hours say you close at 7pm I expect to be served until that moment especially if I pre paid or I need to be refunded or notified. The website shouldnt even allow you to place an order if it cant be delivered.

Listen!! If you ve been wanting or waiting to try this place, head over there now. I ve literally been wanting to try this place for over a year and when I tell you it was definitely worth it. Now my husband has been going in there for months ordering their cakes. I ordered the jerk chicken with dirty rice and cream sauce and my husband ordered the salmon with dirty rice (they actually made his dirty rice with mushrooms) Chef s Kiss The strawberry cake was cool and the sweet potato pie was delicious!! I ordered the nachos and was given alfredo sauce with a thick layer of grease at the top. It had the whole offices stomach turning. Definitely way too greasy. I had no clue the nachos came with alfredo sauce and not cheese. The overall taste of everything is all over the place. Run, don t walk to JS International Grill! My husband and I frequent this place at least three times a week. He s a huge fan of the jerk chicken, rice, and cabbage. In fact he loves the cabbage so much he always ask for extra although it only comes in one size. I tried the Cajun shrimp pasta which was amazing. It was fresh and seasoned to perfection. They give you such a large portion that I ate on it for two days. I m definitely eager to try out the rest of the menu but so far what I have tried was a 10/10. Of course it s cooked to order so I call it in and it s always ready within 20-30 minutes.

One thing Im gonna do is support black own businesses. Idk if today was a off day or what but the cashier was so unhappy poor thing. This is by far THE best restaurant I have ever been to. The food is 10/10. I went for my second time last night and got the turkey leg stuffed with lobster Mac n cheese (picture attached) which was phenomenal! I had the shrimp pasta add sausage and dirty rice on the side. I paid 35.18. I paid for my order at 4:00. I was told to wait 50 min. Okay cool. I can go to the store. Went came back. Stood back in line... needless to say, it took over an hr to get my food. 5:17 to be exact. And I had to ask for my order a second time. THEN, I had no sausage at all. Only shrimp. Richardson location - My husband and 2 kids went for lunch today. My husband enjoyed this restaurant during our 1st visit however today was the LAST. We are aware parties of 6 are usually subject to 20%. Our party was 2 adults and 2 kids (not teenagers) we received our bill and their was a 20% large party added without our knowledge. When we asked the server he said it was because of our order. Make it make sense! We had appetizers and each order a meal. Very concerning as we advised we dined before and was not charged the 20%. He stated it was a new rule. I began to get upset and ask additional questions as how do you determine what family of 4 or any number under 6 you charge without notice. I digress we paid the bill and will NEVER return. The world is stressful enough and I never thought going out for lunch would result in a ---- restaurant taking advantage of their customers. I tried Js International grill and it didnt disappoint. I just knew these were real Oxtails but they were 100% vegan. The flavor and texture was shockingly delicious. The Curry chick-en, rice, and cabbage made you want to slap your......well you get it! You can also take family members that are not vegan. They whip up meals for any eating style. They even have things that are not on the menu like egusi soup, okra soup, and fufu. It was so good Im headed back on Saturday with my family. They have a few wines as well but are adding frozen drinks, karaoke, and more coming soon. The staff are very friendly! The owner Ms. J aka Jannie is an artist so the atmosphere and your food will be very creative. Chef Stael will come out to get your take on the flavors and the host and waiter Yuliya makes sure your experience there is a entire journey. I paid almost $24 for my meal. I had the jerk chicken with dirty rice. Ive tried several Quote unquote Caribbean food spots in the DFW area and this was by far the worse experience Ive had. I wish somebody would show them how to make authentic jerk chicken. The chicken tastes like it was at least 3 days old. You can tell it wasnt fresh and had the taste of old warmed up out of the refrigerator chicken and covered in some type of thick sauce that definitely wasnt jerk. Ive never had dirty rice so greasy in my life. I wont be returning. The price and quality doesnt coincide. First off, this was our first visit, its in an area I often visit. The lady/waitress was excellent with customer service and very attentive. The wait for the food did take some time but it was worth it. Everything we had was flavorful and delicious. We had the mac n cheese bites, curry goat and lobster fried rice. Today I ate here for the first time with my very picky partner. The food was outstanding. It was seasoned well and full of flavor. Our waitress was Z and she was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had shrimp and dirty rice. He had oxtails and dirty rice. For an appetizer we had beef nachos but we ate those before I thought to take a pic. The chef even came out to greet us and explain his style of cuisine. We will most definently be back soon. I ordered salmon and shrimp with dirty rice. I clearly asked if can get the rice without meat and was told that I could. I get the food and realize that there is beef in the food. I DO NOT eat beef. Let me start by saying the stuffed turkey leg with pasta and shrimp was excellent. Theres a wait around 30 to 40min for your food so I suggest calling in your order. NOW! Customer service is horrible! I started with one of the cooks in back who was very attentive and made suggestions on what to order. As I was looking at the menu this guy with barrettes in his head and had a purse on walked right in front of the menu while I was trying to decided what I wanted. I finally placed my order with him while he was on the phone having a whole conversation with someone...he never got off the phone, asked me my name and I paid. About 15 minutes they brought two orders out and the lil guy bagged the order and never said a thing. Well now Ive been waiting 40mins and he called my name. I asked him was this my order that has been sitting here for the past twenty minutes, he stated I called your name..I said sir maam whichever you decide to be called I have been standing right here...he said well I dont know everyones name....Listen if you want to keep your customers happy he should not take orders. Hate to do it but had to wanted try something I like waited weeks to try do to how far I live took me 48 minutes to get their the wait was far food was hot , but let s rate the taste -taste was fair, oxtails where tough smh was plenty and the chicken was fair been honest I usually don t review but o had to , do to the cost I spend as well the drive . Idk if I ll try again I want to try something different but don t want come across this situation again . Blessing to your eatery just wasn t for me

I ordered the stuffed salmon with cheese, spinach and shrimp over cabbage...and a side of jollof. I ordered online and it took a whole hour. The food was flavorful and hot. The salmon was NOT stuffed. I got a slither of cheese and spinach on the side, topped with shrimp. The jollof was dry. For $40 and an extremely long wait, I expect better.

I placed a Door Dash order today and ordered the sauteed shrimp and dirty rice with Alfredo sauce extra shrimp and cabbage. My gosh! My food is so good! My food is very fresh was still hot and seasoned perfectly! I received very generous portions and the shrimp are large and there are plenty in my rice. Please go try Js International you will not be disappointed! Oh yhea...Get the Alfredo sauce to go over your rice it is so good not the Average bland Alfredo sauce! Thank you Im going to sleep good tonight!

The service was terrible. I waited almost two hours for some seafood nachos, and the sauce was not that good. I would NEVER do this again. I will try another place to eat when I don t want to cook, and she had her son at the register...it would have been okay if he knew what he was doing and could know if he took my order. I was a terrible Sunday!

I had the jerk chicken w/ dirty rice, the rice tasted as if it had sand in it. Cruching down as if I were eating sand. The food was average. To drive 33 miles to get there I wont do it again.

The salmon and red snapper were delicious! Well seasoned and nice size servings. The dirty rice was meh, (I prefer a long grain rice) have to try a different side next time I go back. I ordered on the app and my order was ready when it said it would be. 4 stars because I couldnt order the turkey leg on the app and the dirty rice. We will be back!!

I ordered the Broccoli Curry needless to say it was delicious! The spices were just right for me. This was my second time ordering it and it taste just as good as the first time. The owner and her staff are very friendly and she gives you a very generous amount of food for the price.

The stuff turkey leg rice is delicious my only issue is they take 40mins to prepare the food. I thought they were cooking it from scratch but its already cooked. You will use up your whole lunch waiting for your food. And dont have a 30min lunch or you will be SOL. I dont understand why it takes so long when the food is already cooked. Make sure you call your order in and wait 30mins before you head out your house to get your food. Other than that the food is excellent. They are on Doordash & Ubereats although the stuff turkey is not on the menu of one of the delivery services

I dont order out very often so when I get to eat Js, its a treat! If you order in person you might be waiting a bit because they cook everything fresh, but its worth it IMHO. Never had a meal here that wasnt amazing and if you like your food spicy, tell them because they will HOOK YOU UP!

The only complaint I have is they didn t have the ginger drink I wanted . This is hands down the best restaurant on Uber eats for the desoto/cedar hill/red oak area. So flavorful and made with . Jerk chicken was delicious and so was the salmon last time I had it. 10/10

Ok I was told to get the Jerk Chicken and Dirty Rice with the sauce. The customer service was good, and friendly. I got my food to go, got home and I must say . I love jerk chicken, but this seemed to be a stewed chicken with a gravy over it not sure. Anyways, I tried the dirty rice, maybe they should call it something else because when you say dirty rice Im thinking CAJUN flavors. It had a sweetness about it. It was very bland and dry, the jerk chicken flavor was not heavy it was there a little but nothing to stand out. I just had a different idea of what it should have tasted like just wasnt good to me at all.

Js International Grill is the best!!! So listen, I went this past Sunday on the November 28, 2021. Mrs. J had this new Oxtail Stew and I was a little hesitant at first, but when I tell you after the first bite, that thing was soo good I had to go back and get another plate. She wont be serving Oxtail anymore, but she will be serving Beef Stew instead. Come one come all and lets enjoy a good good home cook meal together.

Yuck!!! This is the nastiest food i have ever dared to eat!!! I spent almost $100 on garbage..these folks on these reviews lying saying this food good..probably their friends and family on here lying!! This was my first and last time eating here..omg!!! The dirty rice was dry with dry meat. it tasted just like some Orange rice with no flavor no taste no texture. The sauce that came with it for the rice was ok. I was so excited to try this place out and was very disappointed .

Very tasty. I tried the lobster macaroni and cheese. The turkey meat was tender and tasty. The macaroni was cheesy and flavorful. Lots of lobster meat mixed in with the pasta. I also tried the beef samosas and the salmon samosas. They were delicious. The dipping sauce was the perfect touch. The watermelon ginger juice was amazing. They had several different ginger juices so Ill probably try one each visit. The customer service was good. I recommend calling ahead or ordering online because the food is made fresh. I got the creamy cajun chicken pasta and it was definitely creamy and flavorful. I can tell the alfredo sauce is homemade because theres a low amount of salt in it which I like. Ill definitely go back and try other menu items like the oxtails.

Everytime I visit this establishment its never a disappointment. The customer service is outstanding and every dish Ive tried has been simply amazing. Today we ordered the stewed chicken over rice, the seafood lasagna, & the dirty oxtails over rice. One word, AMAZING. This is definitely one of my favorite places to visit. First time here and it was very good! Seasoned just right! The lady at the register had very good customer service and recommended a few good items. I got the sautéed shrimp dirty rice. JS International Grill has a wide variety of caribbean/southern food choices that are full of flavor & will fill you up. Im writing this review after trying my 2nd entre with them, but having tried their wonderful samosas several times prior. Pros: Great customer service. The lady with the natural hair thats usually there on weekends is always willing to answer questions and make suggestions. Food choices- they offer several food choices ranging from chicken, shrimp, ox tail, and salmon. Serving size- the serving sizes are HUGE! lol You definitely get your moneys worth. The samosas- THEY ARE SOOOOOOO GOOD!! lol The beef samosa reminds me of a Jamaican beef patty, the chicken samosas are always great & flavorful, & unfortunately I havent had the chance to try the blackbean samosas yet. Cons: Someone took my order with their mask on improperly. It was covering her face, but not her nose. I know its hot back there, but for both customer safety and their own ;mask should be worn over the nose & mouth when interacting with customers. Overdone meat- I previously had the ox tails and they were seasoned perfectly but were a bit tough. Same for the salmon I just had. It was extremely over done & some parts were dry similar to jerky. Wait time- Im not impatient, so this doesnt bother me that much, but because the food is heated/made to order be prepared to wait at least 5-10 minutes. I feel that its worth it though. The longest Ive waited is 30 minutes on a very busy week day, but they do offer call ahead (make sure to pick up a menu on a visit). Overall, they definitely have the potential for 5 stars, but the over done meat & improper mask wearing prompted me to only give 4 stars.
