Best chain fried chicken in town. Chicken is always crispy and the sauce is always delicious without being oily like Raising Caines sauce is. Caines sauce always makes my mustache smell like oil all day no matter how much I wipe and wash with soap whereas Laynes sauce leaves no smell or oily feeling in your mouth. Laynes is cheaper and the fries are way crisper than soggy mess you get from other places. Love this place and glad its here in Denton.

Fast service. Associate taking our order was very friendly and had a great personality! Since it was our first visit to a Laynes, she was very helpful p ful. She explained the menu to us. Our order arrived timely and the food was hot and fresh. The chicken was tasty and juicy, the gravy had good flavor and the fries were hot and crispy. The lemonade had just the right amount of tartness, not overly sweet. We will be back! 10/10!!

We ordered Layne s on DoorDash. We only received two of the three orders. I tried to call the restaurant and was sent to voicemail. I had to fight with DoorDash to get the entire price ($13.96) refunded. Do better.

The quality control here is not great. Been here twice in the last couple weeks and my food wasn t great either time. My order was messed up both times and the fries and chicken always tastes like it was fried in old oil. I wish the food quality control was better because the convenience and location is great

I love this place dearly, and I come usually more than once a week. Im not even going to pretend to be ashamed. Thank God the staff pretend not to recognize me. They are all super friendly and the place just has really good vibes. My favorite part of Laynes is the gambling aspect. If you come in at the right time, either during the rush or right before it, you will get fresh chicken, and its, like, the best fast food chicken youll ever have. If you come in a bit too late and get the staled chicken, its the worst. Hence my famous moniker; Laynes 50/50 chicken. I dont really mind that angle, as Im still paying about half of what Id get at Canes, and its spicy. And 50 percent of the time, its the best fast food chicken Ill ever done eat. Gamblers Favorite Chicken, I swear. The owner, according to friends, is also weirdly chill. I hope hes actually like that to staff as well. Look, I love this place. Ive genuinely made a significant number of fond memories in this town thanks to this place. Id recommend it. Also, Laynes if you want me to, like, be a brand sponsor or something, feel free to reach out. Ill do it.

This should be a 5 Star Review, but if you order online for pick up, like I did, you are charged the DoorDash price. It was about $3.00 extra (30%) for each entree ordered. The staff had no idea about what to do. My order was already paid for online, and it was boxed and ready to go. Had I waited to sort it out, my food would have been cold by the time I got it home. The chicken is always delicious, although often slightly over cooked.

First and foremost, its near impossible to be served bad chicken and fries from a professional establishment, this place is no exception to that rule. Secondly, what this place gets rights is to market its prime location and atmosphere. I wish I took a picture, but I love all the postings on the wall and the hilarious custom signs/warnings this establishment puts up.

first i d like to say whoever the middle aged heavy set red head that was working Feb 25 around 1:00pm needs to be let go. she had the absolute worst attitude. she was extremely unprofessional. I walked in at 1:17 to pick up my order. she proceeded to let me stand there for 15 minutes before she checked my order in on the ipad and tried to tell me later that she had just got the order. She didn t communicate that it would take longer for my order be ready. everyone who ordered after me was getting their food 5-7 minutes tops. so when i asked her about it 15 minutes later because my order still wasn t ready she tried to tell me its because the chicken is frozen i said what do you mean i placed my order when i was 15 minutes away and ive been standing here for 30. I said everyone else has got there order and i saw you didn t check my order in until i stood there for 15 minutes. she tried to tell me it was an accident. I said no ma am you don t let someone stand there for 15 minutes before you check the order in after i walked up to you and told you hey i have a order for so and so and then not communicate that it s going to take that much longer while you have an attitude. And when i was standing there i was observing her body language and she did not want to be there. two large groups of people walked in and she rolled her eyes, shook her head, and took a big breath like doing her job is such a bother. So basically i stood there for 30min+ and still didn t get my food.

Amazing spicy tenders. Wonderfully seasoned, perfect breading/chicken ratio. The chicken is a tad dry, but the wonderful sauce makes up for it (tastes like Cane s, but with a smidge more dill.) fries are awesome and crisp, toast was good, and the tea was divine. I m most certainly be back.

Davevion had the best customer service I have ever experienced. I honestly thought he was the store manager. He took care of everything I wanted and made sure I had the best time eating here. The food is way better than Canes. The honey mustard with fries is the best combination. I love their chicken tenders, next time I plan on trying that Club sandwich. 10/10 recommend to anyone I know!

We decided to try this place out last night for dinner and our entire household is suffering from the worst case of food poisoning Ive ever seen. It was so bad we had to take our little one to the hospital. One of the nurses said she had the exact same experience from this location. It seems like Laynes chicken fingers does not have it together. Our family and church will never be eating here again.

It s not better than Raising Cane s but it s in walking distance of campus making it convenient. Overall, Cane s has a better signature sauce, Layne s isn t even playing in the same league as Cane s when it comes to Texas toast, and Cane s chicken is tastier and of obviously higher quality. Layne s wins in the french fries department even though it s close. Also, i ll give Layne s credit for offering a spicy version of their chicken.

Crinkle-cut fry lovers, rejoice! This joint has hefty helpings of fries, some solid (and unique) sauces, along with decent everything else. The prices are also pretty reasonable, given the amount of food you receive. For a place named after their chicken fingers, I wasnt all that impressed by the chicken itself; it was mostly the sauces which did the heavy lifting. But this is a good option for people seeking something just a little different, whove grown tired of Braums or Chicken Express.

We came here for the first time and we both each got the three finger chicken fingers one with ranch the other with gravy and also drinks I love that they have the option between spicy and regular fingers I must say I m impressed and for first time after never having it before the food tasted great highly recommend this restaurant to everyone to try it and see what your missing out on will definitely return Parking: The parking situation is not really ideal most of the parking is on the street and the bars are across the street

My family and I stopped by to try this place out and we were disappointed. The cashier was pretty rude and made it clear they didnt want to be there. I can overlook that because being paid min wage I dont expect great customer service. The food however was disappointing. They should call this place Laynes chicken nuggets instead of chicken fingers. The fries are obviously store bought frozen fries. For the price I expect at least a little bit of quality.

I want to start by saying Laynes is a great restaurant. However, the Denton location in particular has a major incompetence issue. The tea was clear, hard to call it tea at that point, and we had to send the food back because they gave us the wrong order. Then when we were given our new food they had decided to remove to sauce from the container, so we had to go beg the cashier for some. There was no sorry, or any kind of apologetic behavior, on either of the two encounters where I had to send the food back for their folly. Im not even one to criticize service employees for a lack of customer service as I know how grueling it can be. However, their behavior coupled with the inability to perform their job to any satisfactory degree is the reason for this review. Not to mention before we even received our food we were given our food after the two groups before us in line received theirs. On our way out the trash was full; service (in its weakest connotation) is overall terrible at this location. The food was good, however, severely lacking in proportion compared to the other Laynes locations. I recommend Laynes, just not this location until they improve the above mentioned problems. Im giving two stars to maintain the severity of my experience while giving this location the benefit of doubt. Doubt that it is a new location with all new employees, at least from the looks of it. They may improve in the future.
