This will become a regular for us, for sure! Oh!, I forgot to mention the service and attention we received. Can t compare any other place that has outdone themselves to take care of a patron.

Eating in, and picking up to go is always a great experience. Food is outstanding! I learn something about Italian cooking every time I visit. I buy fresh pizza dough and toppings to make pizza at home, fresh pasta, and creamy mozzarella cheese. So many items to choose from. The service is fantastic and the staff is very helpful with cooking instructions for many things. Spicy Rigatoni is my favorite dish so far, but the menu and the daily specials give me unlimited opportunities to challenge the current favorite. Go see them soon, but not on Mondays. On Mondays these lovely people are serving our most vulnerable populations at Our Daily Bread. Keep up the great work friends!!

I have visited their Denton location. I love that the hours of operation are clearly posted in several places, it makes planning super easy. The selection in the grocery section is wonderful. I love trying new specialty items. The food they serve fresh is divine. I wish I could eat their focaccia bread forever, so good. I was lucky and was there when they has a fresh loaf of olive focaccia for sale.

Di Abruzzo Italian Market is a hidden gem, right here in Denton! They have a fabulous selection of Italian goods, it s like going into a small grocer in Italy to get your staples. They offer a wonderful selection of canned goods, tomatoes, sauces, olive oil, spices so many to name. You will also find some frozen and refrigerated items. That s just the grocer selection, the deli has a wonderful selection of items to purchase by weight or to have them make you a sandwich. They have so much to offer that you just have to see for yourself! They have generous hours and are only closed once a week! Oh! And they have a few tables to enjoy your food there if you don t want to take away. I was so glad to find this place right here in Denton! Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely BOMB! I love being able to pick up different cheeses like fresh mozzarella and burrata, high quality olive oils, and everything I need to make a delicious bowl of pasta. Their prepared foods make for a very quick and easy meal - - they sell their meatballs and meat sauce to go, and both are absolutely delicious and so convenient. The sandwiches are phenomenal-- they use Empire Bakery bread which is perfectly crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the fresh sliced meats and cheeses make for a wonderful and delicately balanced sandwich. This place is an absolute gem, and 100% worth the drive up to Denton from Lewisville! EDIT 8/24: still amazing, and the Carrollton outpost is such a bonus! We absolutely love Di Abruzzo

You can also buy the shells in the grocery area and the filling in the refrigerator section. I ll be back to order sandwiches and entrees next time. If you need pasta, sauce, olive oil, or even frozen raviolis, this is the place. I also saw tiramisu and take and bake manicotti in the refrigerator section. There is inside seating to enjoy dining in. And what a cute place! The service was absolutely friendly and fast!

Wife and I came in a few weeks ago and had lunch and bought an expensive bottle of olive oil. After getting home we realized the oil was expired by over a year. We did not open it, and tried to take it back this weekend for an exchange. Upon arrival, all the bottles of that brand on the shelf also expired in early 2023, so we were going to pick a different brand that was not expired. Once we got to the counter we were told food items cannot be returned for refunds. But, the items on the shelf are clearly expired. It was somewhat our fault for not noticing when we purchased it, but refusing to exchange or offer refund for products that are clearly expired / out of date is absurd. We were offered a 10% discount on another bottle. We refused, and absolutely will not return. Brutto affare, arrivederci!

I have mixed emotions about my visit. Italian delis have always been special to me as they bring me back to my childhood. This one had that feeling as I walked in and the staff was helpful and informative. I ordered the Gabagool which was supposed to be a bit spicy with the capocolla. That is one of my favorite meats. The meat itself was good but the sandwich lacked any flavor. There wasnt any oil and vinegar or oregano or really anything. The lettuce and unsalted tomatoes dominated the whole sandwich and left it bland. I actually brought half of the sandwich home, added a few things and it was much better. The portion was huge. I also picked up a fresh loaf of Italian Easter bread as I hadnt had one of those either in many years. It was sweet and light and very well done. I am willing to try this deli again, but I think I may try one of their pasta specialties and give them another chance.

CONCERNING MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR! I visited this restaurant recently and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While the food was mediocre and the staff seemed miserable, what stood out the most was overhearing the managers speaking very poorly of their staff on multiple occasions. As a customer, this was disheartening to witness. Its important for businesses to treat their employees with respect, and I hope this feedback encourages better practices in the future.

MY family is from Italy and i am American Italian. Grew up always going to my familys Italian market and deli in New Jersey! My mother brought her love for Italian markets to Texas about 15 years ago and we had a deli in flower mound, sadly with family issues they had to close so i got really excited about this place. I really wanted to like this place... I visited this place twice since it opened, first time not such a great experience. Rude Staff members saying they are about to close and only have limited items. Saw the time and it was 5:45, i said no problem and just ordered a sandwich and 2 of each cannoli. The lady was asking me why am i ordering 2 of each, i simply answered i had 6 family members at home and would like them to try it as well. She rolled her eyes and said uhm ok. Gentleman who was making the sandwich really showed he did not want to be there. sandwich was sloppy, broken and really soft bread. Usually when you order a true Italian sandwich the bread should have a crunchy outside soft inside. while waiting took a look at the market, saw really high prices that i could not believe. Small package of meat ravioli should not be $15 dollars... I Dont know if some items were tagged wrong but everything in the market is priced crazy high. 2nd visit was better staff but did not know a single thing about the menu. Staff was all in the back while the nice cashier was there alone restocking a few things. Waited 15 mins just for my order to be taken. This time got a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, simple and hard to mess up. Got a package of Italian red cherry cookies and a 4 pack of lemonades. at check i noticed the pack of red cherry cookies were $17.49!! those were not even imported... they were from new jersey! sandwich was not the best, same soft bread which ruins the sandwich and little prosciutto and mozzarella. felt like i was just eating plain bread. This place has real good potential! I want to love it! But really need some improvement from staff members. I understand importing Italian goods gets expensive but when you search online from importers and can get the same exact things for a whole lot cheaper makes me think twice. Please make this place better.. Dfw really needs a good italian market and deli. Edited my review from 1 star to 2 stars because i really do think it has potential!

I got the Italian Hoagie. Bread is fresh (not hard to bite into). They did not skip out on the meat, there is a lot of it on there. The meat is quality! If you are looking for food with quality in general this is your place! Great piece of Italy here in Denton. Anytime I have come in they are always kind and cheerful.

Super cute authentic Italian market serving delicious food. I ordered the Spaghetti with meatballs & it was deliciously amazing! My spouse, my pup Pete & I loved it. (Pete enjoyed a meatball) Well definitely be regular customers. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces & I appreciated the fact that they have a 15 min. Parking spot right by the door as I placed an order over the phone and came in to pick it up.

A cute little italian shop with italian goods and ingredients to make your own italian food! There are imported goods, cheeses, and a deli counter. They also have a small restaurant inside with different daily specials every day. I had the daily special, lasagna, and it was incredibly good! Their half and half cookie was also soft and delicious. Service was fantastic, everyone is so welcoming. I adore this little piece of Italy in Denton! Parking: There is plenty of parking in this little shopping center. Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair parking and a ramp up to the shopping center.

The food was delicious, and great hospitality. Loved shopping in the market while waiting for our food. The only downside was when multiple customers came in they were all crowded around the table we were eating at. Otherwise, a great experience! I recommend the Amalfi Panino.

Overall it was a pleasant experience shopping and getting a sandwich at this establishment. It is nice to be greeted upon entering. They have a variety of imported groceries and beverages however it is somewhat limited. Our sandwiches were very good. Mine the bread was quite hard which while this may be traditional, it was difficult to eat. They do use real silverware vs plastic which is a plus. I did feel, at one point, we were being hurried while eating. They were getting busy. I understand the business end of that but being older it took us longer to eat especially given the bread was hard. If you are searching for basic Italian groceries this can work, however think I will be looking for something larger with more variety.

We are from California and had a similar Italian market that we loved. So when I stumbled upon this I was really excited to try it. We went the same day for lunch. I had the meatball sandwich. Enough for two ! and my husband had the sausage and peppers sandwich. We both loved it ! We had the cannoli for dessert and it was very delicious. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The owner Jack checked on us several times. They make you feel that they are genuinely happy that you are there. Walked around the little grocery section where they have all kinds of Italian goodies. We look forward to our next visit.

I enjoyed the food, but I m giving two stars because I believe this store needs to make some changes in order to stay afloat. Namely, customer service. I walked in around 3pm, right around the time they had a shift change. I ordered a sandwich and right after ringing me up, the cashier clocked out. I waited 15 minutes or so for my sandwich, then once it was ready I put it in my backpack and walked out. I was half a block away when I realized someone was shouting at me, so I took my headphones off. An employee who had just clocked in was running after me to ask me to pay for my sandwich. I told him I d already paid and he left me be after that. I m not upset about being chased down, and I enjoyed my sandwich. But when this happened there were maybe 3 employees in the store. That means none of them were paying attention to when I ordered the sandwich or when I paid, and none of them checked the register to see that the sandwich which had just been made had already been paid for. Plus, with the employee chasing me down the block, there were now only two people working the store. Think about it, this customer service model is not sustainable. If the employees on shift are not paying attention, it becomes easy for people to order without paying. It becomes easy for someone to walk out with another customer s food. And every time they chase someone down, the register is left unattended, which is just bad for business. I m writing this review because I enjoyed the food and I sincerely hope Di Abruzzo Italian Market can iron out these issues. I know it s a newer store, and perhaps these are just growing pains. But they will have to do more than charge $15+ for a sandwich to stay alive if they don t commit to being more focused on their store and customers.

They have a neat selection of different items. Hot foods can be kind of pricey. One thing that rubbed me the wrong way about my first and only visit so far was the way the employees acted towards the end of my visit. I had ordered a sandwich and was waiting for it to be ready. Right before I got ready to pay I decided that I needed to grab something else in the dry good section. The person from the back had already brought my food to the cashier. When I got back to pay they claimed they couldnt find it and tried to insist it wasnt ready yet and stated they will call me when it was ready. I had to remind them it was already ready. In the time it had taken me to go and grab something else they had given my food to another customer. They had to go and grab back the food that I was about to pay for from this person and then finish checking me out. All of that after they tried to insist I didnt know what I was talking about. Why is it so much easier to insist the customer is wrong than the fact that they made a mistake? That should never be your go-to response.

Di Abruzzo is legit! It has lots of meats, cheeses, pastas, and other assorted Italian groceries (some oh which are frozen for your convenience). It totally reminds me of Jimmy s Food Store in Dallas, and that s a huge compliment. That said, I heard Di Abruzzo s goal is to have things Jimmy s Food Store doesn t have! Today we got the spicy gabagool sandwich sliced in half (14 in; it only comes in one size) and two cannolis. Everything was fresh and delicious! Can t wait to go back. EDIT: got the caprese and the meatball hoagie today. They were amazing! I also got some fresh ciabatta.

Dont forget the cannoli - Clemenzas mother Authentic Italian, with large portions, in a welcoming environment. I was greeting immediately upon walking in. I have not seen a shop like this since I left Chicago. Mike, who worked the counter, made me feel like we were long-time friends. They have a Italian grocery inside the store, where they sell some of the ingredients that they use on their sandwiches. With tax, my Italian hoagie came out to seventeen dollars and change. However, the sandwich was easily two meals worth of food. Finally, I had to end with a pistachio cannoli. Made fresh to order, just like the hoagie. P.S. They just started online ordering and delivery. Check this place out! Parking: Located in a strip mall. No problems finding a place to park
