I always have a great time at JR Pockets when I go to play in their pool tournaments on Thursdays at 8pm and Sundays at 8:30pm. 8 foot tables, with fast felt so they play very nice! They cook their food right there behind the bar, and its pretty tasty! Drinks are made-to-order and priced on average! But best of all is the service received from the bartenders and the friendly patrons who go there! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A very popular place with the locals! Had a great time while on a date. Reasonable prices for drinks. Got several Red Stag and Sprite doubles. Super nice wait staff / bartenders (Genel & Tim) I lost my wallet in the parking lot. Thanks to honest patrons my wallet and contents were turned in. Cant say enough good things about this place. I look forward to returning!

This was my first time here. I liked the tables, the music was good, the server was extremely friendly & recommended a good drink. The thing that will bring me back here is what happened when something went wrong with my order at the end of the night. JR Pockets this is a nice place to come and shoot pool if you are looking for a place in Denton. Im in town to visit some family and heard about this place. Im from Las Vegas, Nv and I wanted to shoot some pool. At 2:30pm when I came the bar tender Mallory was very polite and I asked what it cost to play pool for an hour would cost and she said $4.00 an hour. The tables are very well maintained. I hoping that I can come back and spend more time this week. Well I came back at 4:30pm and there were a few people and I plan on playing for about 2 hours and maybe come back on Sunday.Theyre open from 12 noon to 2am on the weekends. The place us is easy to find. Im guessing the place gets busier later on after 7pm.

That being said: my first time here, staff was awesome but theres nobody like a bouncer there to get the drunks out which resulted in a fight that broke one of their windows....i was parked right outside the door so when they did get tossed my truck became a pinball bumper on the way out which wasnt cool.

Killer pool hall. Unassuming and blue collar, but not dirty. Great price on tables during the daytime and still pretty good price in the evening. Good drink specials and good folks working there. They have league play some nights, but I dont know much about it. we were there one night before the league started and it seems to be bringing in a decent-sized crowd.
