5 stars is simply not enough to describe what an amazing experience sultan provides!! First of all the atmosphere is immaculate it s a beautifuly decorated restaurant with comfortable and spacious seating. The food is unbeatable ingredients are fresh and high quality with authentic recipes that evoke memories of my Lebanese grandmother. The quality has not been skipped in any aspect of this restaurant from the coffee to the spices or beautiful China. I have yet to try anything from this restaurant that I don t absolutely love but my favorite go to is the lentil soup it pairs well with anything and doesn t disappoint!! While all of the forementioned qualities would rank sultan highly in my restaurant rwepitware my friend Rifat is what puts sultan above any competition. He is the kindest person and my day is always brightened when I see him!! He s always introducing me to new teas and coffees his recommendations are spot on!! He has always made me feel like family. Dine here it s life changing!!

Hidden gem in McKinney. We tried a few items as we wanted to gain an understanding of the quality of the dishes. We ordered Hummus , Beet Salad , Lentil soup and Kabab Soltani. The dishes were well portioned and tasted devine. The atmosphere & service were excellent as well. We will be back to enjoy and try more dishes.

Amazing food. Started with the Baba Ganoush. It was made from scratch and came with the Sultan Bread which is a rustic bread that was delicious. Followed with the beet salad. Also highly recommended. We had the Saturday evening special which was a Parda Pillaw. It was delicious. Fresh ingredients. Spiced correctly. It was large enough to share. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return.

My wife and I happened upon this hidden gem purely by chance when our favorite Greek restaurant was closed for the day, and I am incredibly grateful that we did. The kebabs, for instance, were grilled over charcoal to absolute perfection juicy, smoky, and succulent among the finest Ive ever had. The flavors are layered and complex, not the one-dimensional seasoning you typically find at many Mediterranean places. Its clear that this restaurant isn t just a business venture, but the creation of someone who is deeply passionate about the art of cooking. Every dish we sampled was an experience in itself, bursting with distinct, bold flavors that stood out and lingered. I rarely write such thorough reviews, but I had to make an exception for Sultan, as it left such a lasting impression on me. This restaurant doesnt offer good value for the price. The food, while decent, is significantly overpriced compared to other establishments. You could easily find similar dishes at other restaurants that charge much less. My boyfriend and I stopped by for lunch to this hidden gem when we were driving through the area. We got the lentil soup and the Iraqi Quzi. We had never tried quzi before, but love trying new foods. The lentil soup was phenomenal, served with an incredible sesame bread. The quzi had a delicious thin bread on top, almost like a pot pie. Inside was, by far, the best lamb weve ever had, perfectly flavored with a more subtle flavor than Im used to with lamb. When I went to get some meat on my fork, it fell off the bone before i could stab it. It was the most tender meat Ive ever had. Our portions were very generous - we shared an entree and soup and couldnt finish it. The owner was our waiter and was so kind and welcoming. The hospitality and incredible food, along with the affordability made this a new favorite for us. The meal would be a bargain at twice the price.

Delightful kuridish Turkish Mideastern themed restaurant and cafe with all the famous Middle Eastern dishes from kebabs , kebab sultani and shish tawook and other dishes . All were delicious and well served . Service is great and friendly. Also had the knafeh , which is served Turkish style but was good . The decoration is great and elaborate. I saw some reviews saying this it s too expensive and to those reviewers I have to STRONGLY DISAGREE with them. The quality of the food is top tier and the portions were huge. The presentation is so unique and stylish. I got their lamb shank which was price at $30 dollars. Think about that for a second a WHOLE lamb shank with rice and beans for only $30 dollars! I ve been to several Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area that would have easily charged me double for that meal that in my opinion wasn t as delicious as the one I had here. My Dad ordered the Sultani Kabob. It was $40 dollars anyone who s been to any Mediterranean restaurants in DFW knows that dish is easily $50 PLUS depending on where you go and let me add it was amazing. Not to mention the staff was extremely nice and helpful when it came to recommendations. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and spacious. To wrap up this long review I will definitely be going back and telling all my friends about this place. The food is amazing you will not regret it I can t wait to go back!

Stopped in for lunch after an appointment the place was basically empty. Thought to myself did I make a mistake. Started looking at the menu and thought definitely made a mistake. That being said, I still ordered an entree and app combo. Everything came out quickly. The hummus was great, the baba gannoush was fantastic with the smokey egg plant in there. The bread was absolutely fantastic. Then came the entree. Rice dish with beef chunks and egg plant and potato. Came with a sauce that was absolutely lovely with it. Side of cucumber and tomato salad. Both were seasoned well and refreshing. The only thing that would have made the whole experience better would have been a chili paste or sauce for a spicy hummus and a little spicier entree. They tried with a hot sauce like Tabasco but its not the same. Then when the meal finished was treated to a nice glass of tea. Absolutely the right way to finish a meal like that.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sultan and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. Refat, the manager, was incredibly hospitable and made sure everything was just right. His dedication to providing great service really stood out. The desserts were an absolute highlight delicious and beautifully presented. I also tried the lahmacun, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The combination of the crispy crust and the savory topping was a delight for the taste buds. Overall, I had a wonderful time and cant wait to visit again. Highly recommend!

We had very disappointing experience at Sultan restaurant last week, waitress named Rifat served us bottled water even if we didn t asked , we ordered appetizer plate only he brought appetizer with bread basket even if we didn t asked bread but he even charged bread which is shocking! At the and he asked us if we want a cup of tea which is typically complimentary at these type restaurants but he charged also a cup of tea . We were 5 but he charged automatic sevice fee also. Please don t go this restaurant !

We enjoyed the restaurant decor and the service. The lamb kabob was great but the 2 chicken dishes were dry. There was a family, across the restaurant, with a child who was screaming a lot and it made it difficult to have a conversation in our group so we didnt enjoy ourselves as much as we would have if the parents or staff made more effort to keep the screaming to a minimum. (When our children were small and we chose to take them out to a restaurant and if they werent having a good day then one of us would step outside or we would ask to pack up our food and go home and respect the other patrons.) The food was nice but we have other favorite restaurants that we prefer and at a better price point. Please note that the check already includes a tip. Water served is Ozarka spring water in plastic bottles.

Our group visited Sultan Restaurant for dinner. Bottled water was placed on the table without informing us that it was not complimentary. Similarly, the bread served was charged, which was unexpected as it s the first time I ve encountered such a charge for bread. The service fee was disproportionately high, even though there were fewer than six of us; $50 was charged for a group of five. Additionally, the appetizer platter was significantly smaller than what was depicted on the menu. Tea, which is typically complimentary in restaurants, was also charged separately. The restaurant is very expensive. They greet you warmly at first, but don t even look at you when you leave.

This was our first time to eat at Sultan and the 5 star reviews are more than justified. Remarkably fresh authentic food with just the right combination of ingredients to enhance the flavors without masking them. This place is a hidden gem! The service was great and the food is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is very nice as well. We chose to sit outside, but inside is very nice as well, almost what I would describe as upscale. The presentation of the food was very nice as well, I have no complaints. My husband got the lamb kebab and I got the Sultans plate. The Sultans place is very good, but the lamb kebab (pictured) was AMAZING. If I come back I will be getting the lamb kebab.
