big fan of Mexican food, I d say I m one of the biggest fans. however. This isn t a fan store, this is a Mexican food store. Wasn t a big fan, every item tasted the same. Reminds me of that one fast food dinery eatery. With the bell. Anyways, nice waiter, food however. Was not nice. Took food as left overs, my pet hamster rat didn t even like it. Oh well.

Had chicken quesadilla and it was so good! Guacamole, salsa, and chips great too. I came back twice in a week, the first time with a group we ordered the sampler appetizer and brisket tacos (pictured) which was also great. A nice way to try different things! Their rice is even good. I liked everything we had both visits. Great service too, definitely plan to return.

Great service and very tasty food. I had the brisket quesadilla and my husband had the fish tacos and some flautas. Everything was very fresh and delicious! We will be back :) Dietary restrictions: I have a avocado allergy so they made sure not to put guacamole on my plate.

I ordered brisket nachos that are $15 after tax. The plate has ten chips with hardly any cheese and a table spoon of brisket , they tried to use refried beads to make it look like more. The item was not an appetizer, it was part of the dinner menu.

Stopped in to eat after getting son set up at UNT. I ordered the taquitos plate with a side of avocado. They served them cut in half so it was about 12 pieces altogether served with a side of queso. I enjoyed my meal. My husband had the beef street tacos which he also enjoyed. Service was just ok. No complaints just was average. I still would recommend

Service was bad, the waiter doesn t understand your order properly. I asked him for chicken tacos, he got me beef tacos. I ve asked for replacement and he got me chicken tacos and the plate had beef in it. I repeatedly told him I can not consume beef but he didn t care. We were again served beef even after repeated requests. My friend got shrimp tacos which were really good. I would give 0 for the service if I can.

First time in this place and I can totally recommend this Mexican restaurant. The attention and care when taking your order is fascinating. I dont eat spicy food and many times... in other places despite asking them not to add spicy food to my meals. They do it the same. Here they brought my dishes just as I requested, without spicy and delicious!! The girls are always worried that nothing is missing from your table. Wonderful place!

Because I am not at home. I did not realize it was fathers day when I stopped in here for a couple of drinks. This place was crazy packed! I went to the bar and there was no place to sit. Except for one table in the very center of the walkway. There are chairs next to this table, but I dont think anyone ever sits here. Because youre directly in the way of everything I did not eat here. I only had a couple of drinks and then I left.

The service is great and the restaurant is nice. The food was decent for the price. The only drawback I had was that the chips/salsa were not good upon arrival. The salsa is very similar to pace pecante sauce. There is too much tomato and not enough spice. The chips were also pretty stale. But rarely do Mexican restaurants here in North texas get these right, so I cant be too harsh on them. Other than that, the food was served hot, and the portion size was great.

We came in and sat at the bar! Tania and Glenda provided the best service to me and my husband right away you could feel the love! The decor, drinks, chips and Salsa is phenomenal. Came over to celebrate our grandkids/sons birthday. We have been going to VG for over 20 years, but moved away from the Aubrey area. We have been to the Denton location several times, but this was not the best visit. First, our waiter seemed to not be listening....drinks were wrong, orders were wrong. Asked for fresh jalapeños as our order came out and he came back with pickled, saying these are fresh. . Less than attentive as well. The patio tables were not level , they were dirty, heaters dont work...it was just an uncomfortable, jumbled mess. Disappointing for sure.

Our first time was amazing. We had a large group of hungry friends, there was a wait for out table, but once in, they didnt disappoint. Everything was fantastic, very fresh and flavorful , and that includes their flavored margaritas. Its been six month we went back with high anticipation remembering how good the food was on our first visit. This time we had a smaller group just six of us, there was no wait they got a table ready, server was friendly, but seemed to be in a rush, then the food was ok, not fantastic like before. We ordered two different desserts, our flan was ok, it was the smooth texture of a good flan, it was harder than softer. Our friends order the hot skillet apple pie, the skillet was extremely hot, it actually burned the crust it only cooled down after shifting the small scoop of ice cream into the skillet which then melted the ice cream and reveal the charging of the crust. We didnt complain, we just know not to have high expectations anymore.

I have to say, I happened on this place by accident. Pulled in thinking I was going to go to Panera Bread and looked down from it and saw this restaurant. First off, service was great. If you need a place to eat lunch while shopping, go to Villa Grande! The food is quite delicious. Cynthia, the hostess, is warm, welcoming and friendly, and ask for Felipe or Rosa to be one of your servers. They consistently give excellent service. Vegetarian options: If you are vegetarian, its very easy to adapt what you need for any dish. The staff, such as Felipe and Rosa, are very accomodating and ready to assis you.

Before the Pandemic I gave this place 4 1/2 stars. My husband would go to Villa grande every Sunday after our meeting. Jan 1st I went here with some friends and the waitress we had was awful. She was not friendly, and she just seemed like she didnt want to serve us. When she took my order she would not come to my side of the table. My friend ordered a margarita and when the waitress brought it, I asked for one as well. I never received it. When my order came it was completely wrong and when I told her about it she didnt say anything. She just looked at me and I handed her the plate So I told her she can just take it off my ticket. I ended up not eating a meal. This was my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denton. This was my second bad experience so we will not be back.

The older Mexican waiter very rude. I ordered a Sprite and brought back a combination of Sprite with Sierra Mist. When I said I didnt want the combination drink he got upset and rarely came to my table to refill my water. Food wasnt that great either.
