I have been going to this practice for 22 + years. I have always had great experiences, from the front office to the office manager to the supervisor to the nurses to the NPS to the Doctors. The front office always greets patients with a smile. They get you checked in quickly and any paperwork I need them to print out is done by the end of my visit. The office manager always makes sure to say hi and ask me how I am doing. The supervisor always makes sure she says hi and asks if I have any issues. The nurses are always kind and courteous and very compassionate. They answer your questions and if they don t know the answer they will find it out. The NP S and Doctors are very competent and knowledgeable. They explain things so the patients understand. They talk to you like you are a person not a number. The whole office really cares about their patients and their health. The make me feel like I am family.

Have been going there for 5 years. Saw one Doctor who abruptly left the office and thats when I should have left because she was fantastic. Would listen and answer questions and would even answer a few questions via email or phone. New Dr came in and while she is knowledgeable, the bedside manner is atrocious. I had an annual physical and asked them to run a certain test to check on a medication that I am on. I ran out of the medication that I had been using for 6 months and they refused to refill it until my bloodwork came back. I complained and they refilled it. 1 month later I have my follow up visit for my lab results and I was unable to make it in for the appointment and asked if we could go a call or something. Front desk girl tells me its against the law to discuss lab results on the phone. When I questioned her she got upset and said there was nothing they can do. Later I get a call from the front office manager. We had a chat and I explained everything to her and she understood where I was coming from and said it wouldnt be a worry to do telehealth. By the way its not illegal for them to tell you the results over the phone, they just cant charge you the copay. Have my telehealth appointment with Dallas. The pregnant doctor in the other review. She starts the conversation stating I broke their code of conduct policy and they have zero tolerance policy and they can kick me out their practices and that she would not give me a refill on my medication because she didnt want to loose her license and so on. She also goes in to say I was inappropriate for asking for a different time and she has other patients than me. Finally she then tells me my results and proceeds to explain she is moving and leaving the practice. Well in the mail I receive a letter they have denied seeing me ever again. Which is fine with me I was leaving that practice anyway due to their unprofessionalism behavior, their practice policies, and the idiotic front desk personnel.

Be sure to go after the doctor has her baby. Wrong profession if you re terrified of illness. I went in as a new patient. I said I had allergies and then was not allowed to see the NP without taking THREE nose swabs. No one even checked my temperature or looked in my throat to assess need. There s a pregnant provider here. Cool, I was pregnant in 2021 high risk and didn t flip out. I declined after they couldn t tell me what that would cost me and was told I could do Telehealth .. IN MY CAR. Hahahah go on mat leave or find a new profession that suits you.

I have had nothing but good experiences here. The office staff is helpful, nice, and works as best they can to fit you in for an appointment. You can tell they like being at work, which is refreshing to see nowadays. The NP is excellent I should add.

They do not speak Spanish and that would not be the problem, if not they do not even try to help you, today there is a line in which the hospital staff communicate and they are professional translators, this lady does not really provide any type of customer service .

MARIAH WALTON, NP is the best doctor I ve ever had. She hands down listens to me about my concerns and she educates. Have been in a pit of despair truly not knowing if I would ever feel better. Im not where I want to be but feeling validated and working towards it gives me hope. I went in late in the week desperate to feel better knowing I likely wouldn t get lab results until later next week. Yet I received a phone call Monday with my results and a plan. I am so grateful for her and this practice!

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. Ive been going to this clinic for 3ish years now and had no serious issues. A couple of snotty nurses that take the vitals, but I dont deal with them for any length of time. The front desk gals are great! My NP is Mariah Walton and she is the best! Ive seen Jenny when Mariah was not available and she was wonderful also. Ive recommended them to many friends and family in the area.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE EXPERIENCE!! BEWARE OF MEDICAL ASSOCIATES OF DENTON!!! Scheduled an appointment. I was running about five minutes behind. Got stuck behind traffic. Called five minutes prior to my appointment and informed the receptionist. She told me not to worry and to continue heading their way. I was around the corner. Pulled into the parking lot and got out of my car. The same receptionist called move back to inform me that I was seven minutes late (it was 9:06 AM) and they have a seven minute late policy, so the physician was unable to see me that day. I informed her that I was standing in the parking lot. She informed me that the physician had multiple patients to see even though the parking lot was completely empty. She was extremely rude and condescending. She was not helpful about rescheduling times or dates. I WILL NOT be going back to medical associates of Denton. I called another physician and they will be seeing me Monday. I will never come back to this office.

The nurse was great that did my physical. The lady at the front desk charged me and when I went to the followup they said that there is a followup visit cost. They refuse to go over my blood work with me and said that I have to make a appointment to go over the blood work. Please do not waste your time with this office.

I reccoment that people avoid this place like the plague. Ive experienced horrible bedside manner and rude secretaries. Of the three times Ive been there, I never even met my doctor. The phlebotomist is employed by an external lab that they use for blood work, that charged my insurance for a laundry list of test that not only were not disclosed to me prior, but were not even run nor covered. I then found out with research that this lab that they are in bed with has an ongoing class action lawsuits against them for doing this kind of thing. To top it off, they are advertising some kind of Herbalife type pyramid scheme nutritional products in their lobby. If that isnt unprofessional, then I dont know what is.

TERRIBLE!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! I take 45mg of Armour Thyroid, which requires me to get blood work done every 6 months, something that shouldn t be a big deal. Instead of telling me that it s time to come in for an appointment or anything like that, they just stop refilling my medication and I don t know until I get a notification from my pharmacy. So I get the notification on a Saturday with no way of speaking to a Dr so I call and leave a voicemail and the pharmacy gives me a 3 day supply. Mind you, the pharmacy tells me that they have requested a refill from them multiple times and never heard back, which is why there was no refill available. Fast forward to Monday....no call back. I call at lunch time, speak the a woman with incredibly flat affect and she gets an attitude. I m a therapist so I was able to let it go in the moment, but it made me more frustrated with the situation. She tells me that she put in the request for the Doctor and to give them at least 24 hours. When I tell her that i have no more medication, she responds, well I m telling the Doctor, but give it at least 24 hours . Again, I m frustrated, but know that it s out of her control so I let it go. Tuesday and Wednesday roll around....nothing. I call again, they tell me THE EXACT SAME THING. I m not sure if the grouchy woman I spoke to the first time even did the paperwork for the Dr s or if the Dr s are the ones that need to be more on top of things. Either way, i set up an appointment for Monday morning to get my blood work done, asking that they refill my prescription to hold me over....Saturday comes around and I have to go back to the pharmacy to get more and THEY STILL HAVENT APPROVED A REFILL...ONE WEEK LATER, WITH REQUESTS FROM ME AND MY PHARMACY. My pharmacy hesitantly gave me 3 more to hold me over. Y all. It is now Tuesday, 10 days later, and I am in the EXACT SAME PROCESS AGAIN. Even after I went in and gave my blood for tests and scheduled a follow up, STILL NO REFILL. My pharmacy won t give me anymore and there s nothing that they can do other than send another request. I called the office today and another 24 hours to wait and no medication. Thank God my medication isn t a life or death thing, but it doesn t take away the absolute sh*t-show of a process that this has been. Terrible communication, terrible customer service, and overall terrible experience. **another side note: I have also been told that I owe money when I know I didn t. I had to ask the woman at the front office TWICE to check into more and she came back the last time and said oh yeah, I guess your amount is zero , which made it seem like they were just trying to get money. Overall, INCREDIBLY shady and unprofessional and TERRIBLE place.

Started off great, but went downhill over the last year. First, I agree with the supplement push. We attended the seminar, only to be told that the program would be $5,000 each. I dont know many people that have that kind of cash, let alone $10,000 for a couple. We had the twice yearly blood tests done, and then I got a strange letter from my insurance company which suggested the reason they were given for the blood work was that I had a condition (which I do not). That raised a red flag. It has been extremely difficult to get our prescriptions refilled, which was never a problem in the past. Crystal at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional to my husband and my pharmacist over the last script refill that took way too long to get approved. My husband then went in last month with a sinus infection and was told a script would be called into our pharmacy. It never was. Rather than mess with the staff again, he toughed it out with over-the-counters. We decided then that we would change providers.

poor service, extremely unprofessional. More interested in selling supplements than providing medical care. They told me it would take days to get my medical records, although they were willing to write me a script without seeing them. i physically went and picked them up myself and brought them back. They still decided to give me a weather script because it was in the nurses opinion that my doctor had no business writing me a script that high. shady and a waste of time.
