I will be celebrating my 65th birthday in a few months. I had questions about my current insurance (through my workplace) vs. Medicare. My Benefits Department could not help me except to say I should let them know when I switch. A Medicare Consultant told me I should stick with my company s insurance because it is always better, and contact him when I m ready to start MCR. This was no help to me at all. A co-worker suggested I contact an insurance broker. I had never heard of such, so I googled this to see what I could find in my area. I found Katherine Fredricks company, read through some reviews, liked what I read, and thought I would give her a call to find out for myself. I left a message. She returned my call rather quickly, and persisted until we were able to speak (my cell is silent at work). She took the time to request information, analyze my benefits, explain why I should continue with my current insurance, and send guidance and forms for when I do switch. I feel very stable moving forward now! People who go above and beyond to help a stranger like this very rare and valuable. I am SO appreciative of her efforts to help me move forward with confidence! I was referred to Katherine Clark & her insurance agency, Fredrick Insurance Brokers, by a friend. I needed to purchase an individual medical plan for myself - and was not happy with any of the options I found in SC... Katherine had a number of non-traditional options and over the course of 4 months - she answered dozens of questions from me, until I was comfortable signing up for a plan for 12/1/19... She was kind, patient, and easy to get in touch with - unlike many of the brokers/agencies/companies I had contacted! Now that my coverage has started - Im receiving periodic helpful emails from her. She made the process easy, and while I was a bit concerned about purchasing non-traditional coverage, I do feel confident that I have all of the resources available to be able to utilize this coverage - and the savings compared to a very expensive, very limited plan from the Marketplace (saving $300 per month!).
