First time visiting. Got the chili burger and a cheese burger. Both were excellent. Was a little surprised at the ordering process, but it made sense to make it as we were in line. A bit larger of a patty than I was expecting, but cooked perfectly. Will go back for sure.

The chili on the burger was 1 step away from being cold. I asked them to heat it for me so the took it back put more cold chili on it with cold chz . It was disgusting we couldn t even get past the chili to get to the burger left two whole burgers sitting there. Wasted $30! 1st and last visit.

The food is awful. I should have checked Reddit before coming here. Everyone there is in agreement on how no one knows who keeps this place open. I m convinced they paid for bots to increase their ratings. The burger: want an unseasoned patty topped with cold shredded cheese and awkwardly squished into untoasted buns? This is the place for you. Want to add mushrooms? This place will steam them and add absolutely no salt or flavor to them making you feel like you ve hit rock bottom. But wait! There s more :). In addition the blandest, overpriced burger you already paid for, for a few more dollars you can have cardboard tasting beans and old fries. Don t worry! They re unlimited :) so you re getting your moneys worth. Seriously though. Who keeps coming here? I came one time and in this economy, im not paying $15 for a burger that tasted like ones at a public school post michelle Obama. Bland and borderline gross with fries and beans making the meal worse.

Classic Denton spot for some extra greasy grub! I would ask for a double or triple bottom bun because the grease and juices from the burger completely dissolve the first one. Fries are good and fresh for about 10-15 minutes after they are served, so eat those first!

Finally paid a visit after wanting to for quite awhile. Atmosphere and service were awesome, Diego was very friendly and super welcoming! Absolutely love the all you can eat fries and beans. The atmosphere was clean and spacious, with plenty of parking and a drive thru for pickup. The only reason I m not giving five stars here is because the burgers are entirely too well done. Extra well done burgers are a complete turn off for those of us who do NOT like beef well done, and it killed the flavor of what would ve been a beautifully grilled burger. TO THE OWNER: With ground beef, that is clearly high quality, why are the burgers so completely overdone? Patrons at a burger house, just like at a steak house, should be able to order a burger as they like it. Extra well done ruins a good steak, and it ruins a good burger too. There are a number of comments in the other reviews regarding this issue. We ll give it a second try but, sadly, another round of extra well done burgers will deter us from being regulars.

My Uncle was the original owner of DIH and I can say, with the new ownership and relocation they have kept the best burger in Denton alive and well. They have a great and efficient team still and keep the quality outstanding. Ill just give it 2 stars I mean the staff seems friendly so Ill cut them some slack they just doing they job and only get paid $8 an hour unless Im wrong about the wage. But the reason I give this a not so good review, cause when I ordered a burger it was ready in less than 30 seconds which to me is a major red flag because how long has the burger been sitting on the heating lamp before it got served to me. They put Walmart brand shredded cheese on the burger and too much, most of the cheese doesnt even melt on to the patty, speaking of the patty it was overcooked, it looked like an ice hockey puck, dry as hell, no seasoning on the burger whatsoever, and flavorless, I was told this place was better when a man named Kevin was his name I believe owned it, now someone else owns it and it doesnt seem to attract to many customers.

This is hamburger joint is fantastic and is quintessential Denton. . The friendly service, fresh food and quirky atmosphere are all 5 star!!! I love the freshly grated Cheddar cheese piled high on the burgers and the hot and freshly cut fresh fries. The Hickory Burger is delicious! In in back of the place is a Denton room that celebrates all those who came hail from Denton. For example there are pictures of Norah Jones, Don Henley, Pat Boon and Roy Orbison. What a fun little burger joint! The walls tell their story with pictures of Denton places and faces, knick knacks, and signs. Clean, well organized, and fast. Those burgers have a unique taste (not a huge fan of the large mound of cheese, but thats just me). Love the concept of self-serve fries and beans, plus they do good sweet tea. Ill be going back! I really like the concept of a burger place that isn t a chain, and I love their new location. The decor is top notch. For the price of a cheeseburger and soft drink at $16.50 ($17.85 w/tax) I would like a better product. The buns with sesame seeds are nice (not squished), but are cold. It would be nice if they were warmed and/or toasted on a flat grill. The meat wasn t as hot as desired as it appears it comes from a warming tray. The grill was full of patties but my meat didn t come from the grill. The cheese is a single option which is a huge amount of grated cheddar cheese. I would like other options like Swiss or Jalapeño Jack. The fries are thick cut steak style but were not as hot as I like since they sit out under a self serve warming tray. The beans are good and were the main reason I visited again when I was in town. But again we re not hot enough. Decent drink price at 2.25 for a good selection of self serve soft drinks. I will probably not return.

I went to this place about a year ago. It was great the first two times. Then it started to decline. I went today and got an overcooked what seems like left over fries and a hockey-puck for a patty. It was so dry. I am disappointed because its expensive for the level of food quality. You also cannot choose how you want the burger cooked. If you are wanting the best burger in Denton, or almost anywhere, then this is the place. The buns and meat are fresh, the fries are hot, and they even have some of the best beans around. Mike and the staff are super friendly. The great thing is no more stepping around dogs to get in, they are in nice newly remodeled spot at Carroll Blvd and University Dr. And they have plenty of seating. Ordered an old fashion with mustard. The bun was all soggy, top and bottom. Couldn t taste mustard, just saw runny yellow liquid on the bun. Pretty bad taste. The male manager was nice and cordial, the woman making the burger was not so much.

I saw this place on Instagram and knew I wanted to check it out. We got the hickory burger and the sauce is amazing! We also got the chili cheese burger based off an employee s recommendation and it was phenomenal. The chili was so delicious. You can get unlimited fries or beans on the side. Definitely recommend stopping by. All of the employees were so friendly.

The burgers were sooooo tasty! I had the hickory burger w/ bacon, my daughter had the cheeseburger. Our order was to go, and the only bummer was the fries were a little soggy by the tune we got back to our hotel room (10 mon away). The service was awesome and everything else was as good as advertised.
