I had an excellent experience at JDs Hamburgers, especially considering my gluten allergy. It was clear to me that they take food allergies very seriously. My server, Xavier, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu options and was more than willing to customize my order to ensure it was safe for me to eat. The managers were equally impressive, taking extra precautions to prevent any cross-contamination. They double-checked everything, and you could tell they genuinely cared about my safety and satisfaction. I really appreciate the effort they put into accommodating my dietary needs. It s hard to find places that prioritize food allergies like JDs does. I left feeling not just full, but truly valued as a customer. Food was good. Very good. However, a couple of things, were my husband and I sat we seen behind the bar. My husband seen that the servers or hostess as nice as they were would picked up my lime without gloves or tongs. Also, a bartender dropped an orange to the floor out of the refrigerator. Then without even wiping it off she placed it back into the fridge.

Simply put, JDs is perhaps the best hamburgers I have ever had. Fresh ingredients, outstanding service, and it has never disappointed me. They stick to a small menu that offers several burgers (my current fave is the Margies), huge real onion onion rings, sweet potato fries (to die for), ocra fries (you must try them!) and fresh Texas sheet cake, cobbler, and a chocolate cream pie that tastes like moms. Bright cheerful staff (shout out to B!) and a cheerful atmosphere. There is outdoor seating as well as inside dining. Parking: Get there early. There is also an overflow lot across the street. In spite of the tight parking, we have never had a problem. As can be expected, the rush hours can be busy enough to make the overflow parking necessary. That is totally because the food will have you coming back for more! Kid-friendliness: Comfy booths and tables, and I have seen kids of all ages. The kids menu is simple and varied enough to please most kiddos.

Got to say I was not impressed. First off we were a party of four and they set us at tiny tables for a party of two. All while there were booths with parties of two at them. Hostess might want to think about that before giving parties the option of where they sit. The service was good. Our server was friendly and on top of it however we watched the bartender use his bare hands to push ice down in a drink for another party. That was kinda disturbing and gross. The food was ok. We started with chili fries and fried green tomato s. The tomatoes were great. Cooked perfect with a good sauce. The chili though tasted just like can wolf brand chili. Not sure if it s home made or not but it tasted just like it. We split a hamburger. The bun was really good, kinda on the sweeter side but not too sweet. The actual hamburger was a little dry and over cooked in my opinion. (Was not asked how we wanted it cooked) Others at my table ordered some pineapple martinis. They were way sweet. Almost like syrup. Not our cup of tea but to each their own. I might come back and give em another try. Price was a little high we paid over $40 for chili fries, one hamburger and fries and a cocktail. I had water.

We really enjoy this place. The watermelon cocktail is delicious, as are the okra fries. The atmosphere is great, but man, is it hot outside. They used to have slow-moving fans on the table to keep flies away, wishing those were still there. They brought out the wrong burger but I ate it anyway. I usually order the Allie Mae, this was just a burger. Good though! They are usually busy, so expect to wait! It will be worth it.

Love the delicious hand-made hamburgers at JDs Hamburgers in Westland located West of 820 on Chapin Rd. We ordered the Jasie and Joe burger with Swiss cheese, mushrooms & onions and the Allie Mae & JD burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & sister sauce (Siraccha & ketchep). Both were delicious Wagu beef patties on a delicious warm homemade bun. Yum!! Ill definitely be back to eat my way through their burger menu, try the okra fries and order one of their amazing cocktails I saw on the menu ( boozy shakes & Peach bourbon concoction). Extra points because I saw that many items from their offerings are from local businesses (ice cream, coffee, bread). Kid-friendliness: Kids menu & lots of dessert options including floats.

So I was pretty excited to go to this place because it s near my house and every time I drive by it seems like there s a pretty good crowd there. But I was left pretty blah about my experience here when I walked in there was a weird smell that I couldn t quite put my finger on what it was. I was greeted promptly and taken care of, so that was nice. The bartender could definitely use some more training and some customer service skills. When I asked for a refill on my soda to go, I had ordered a Sprite and when I was ready to leave, he grabs the tap and refills my cup with Pepsi, I just went ahead and took it cause I was ready to leave, but it seemed like I was disturbing him. As far as the food I had a pico and avocado burger and it just seemed like someone just smeared a little bit of avocado on the bread, the bread seemed a little greasy and not fully toasted overall the burger had a decent taste. Fries were pretty soggy as well. I get it. This place is a greasy spoon. Maybe that s the vibe they re going for. i ll probably think twice before coming back here again. Maybe they had an off day it happens.

Always love this place, but TODAYS service was AWFUL!!! We were a party of 7 adults and 1 child. We were seated outside. This was our choice. Our server, Nathan, was less than attentive. We had to ask for water, and it came out without ice! All of the other tables around us had glasses of water with ice. When the 2 teenagers, whom were only drinking water, asked for more water he did so with water and NO ice!!! He got our orders wrong and had no accountability. This was reported to the manager. Very little done and that was disappointing. Unfortunately at this point we will probably NOT be back. Service is key, food still good, but will not tolerate bad service!!

Absolutely the best burger Ive had in a very long time. The generous portions, fresh sourdough bun and hot fresh fries made it perfect. It was a packed place for lunch. Server was nice and could have been more attentive. I had to pilfer sweetener for my tea from another table and had to ask for my check. Server didnt offer refills yet did get me a tea to go. Ill definitely go back. Great food.

This place had a lot of good reviews so we decided to try it for myself. Definitely worth the visit! I even tried fried green tomatoes for the first time ever and they were very tasty. I ate out on the back patio and there were a lot of people having a good time. They are service animal friendly but not dog friendly. So unless your dog is certified I would leave them at home. Parking: They have not only the parking area in front of and beside the restaurant, but they also have another area for parking across the street. Very easy to find parking for a big truck.

We came in on Sunday after church! I was not happy more like sad because of the tornadoes that happens In Sulfur Oklahoma. Our waitress I think her name was Kara was so nice she was playing with my son that is 3 years old and he can t be still. I was getting mad at him because of this. She gave him a pen and paper and ask him to draw his favorite thing. She told him that she had a surprise for him when he was done. Wow that was above and beyond. This kept him quiet until the food came. She asked me if it was ok to give him a sucker I told her yes. So when he drew his favorite thing she gave him that sucker but told him he had to eat all of his food before he could eat that. She gave it to me. This stored my faith again on humanity. I ordered two basket of cut fries. I notice when walking out it felt light. I had to look to make sure there was two orders of fries. One order was about a half full. The fries didnt taste fresh. They were spongy as if they been sitting a while and heated in a microwave. Too think I gave the lady at the bar a $2.70 tip. She originally said it was a 30 min wait. I said all I need is two baskets of cut fries and I can come back in 15 mins. She said ok. They had the food ready and the bag tied when picking up. Either one of the employees help themselves or they just didnt care. I dont think they help themselves to the fries since they were awful. Im thinking since they were so busy they they gave me some fries from a customer that didnt eat all of theirs and didnt have enough and thats why my order was light. Anyway something happened that wasnt good. I will never be back.

Yessss!! So yummy!!! Stop & try me!!!! It was so good the my oldest son & I went for lunch...I took my left overs home, which was eaten by my youngest son & husband. So then we had to go back for dinner. Both times we had very good food & amazing service. We will be back for the fried green tomatoes that we didnt get to try!!!

Clean & inviting. Great service. SHERLIE ANN & DONNIE burger with bacon, peach pico de gallo and swiss cheese with okra fries Excellent Also KATE S NOPALES MARGARITA astral blanco tequila, prickly pear purée, lime juice, simple syrup We will definitely dine there again.

I give you this 5 star, the burger was perfect. The queso on the side to put on the burger made it even better. Your fries are perfect. The queso fries, we ordered, those were perfect too. BUT!!!!!!!!! I do want to see an apple or peach cobbler on the menu. Not everyone is into seeded blackberries.

We tried JD s it first opened it was amazing. Today was terrible. Cold burgers, fires, okra and our server forgot our appetizer. no available high chairs. We re bummed because we thought we found our new family burger joint. ALSO our bill was $75 for 2 adult burgers, 1 kids slider and 2 beers. Grumps burgers in River Oaks it is!

JDs has the best hamburgers around! They also offer gluten free options and take those requests very seriously. But, dont go when youre starving as it takes a little extra time for those orders. The restaurant has a good feeling overall, but it is small and space is a commodity. Dietary restrictions: They take gluten free orders very seriously and have done a great job of communicating and accommodating me.

Tried out JD s on a Monday evening and even then the dining area was full. I sat at the bar and was greeted right away. They have fountain Big Red so that s a plus right off the bat. I ordered the Allie Mae & JD with fries. The burger was great, flavorful and juicy. The grill shinned sourdough bun gives it a slight sweet taste. The fries are good, not the best since they aren t a thin & crispy fry but it s not something I m taking a star away for. Service was friendly, quick and no complaints there. It s a family atmosphere as a 13 year old was having his birthday dinner with family and had gifts and all that. Would definitely return if back in the area.

Was looking for a place near the airport to have dinner and saw the reviews for this restaurant. What a great find! We started with the deviled egg appetizer and it did not disappoint. The black bean burger was amazingly well-spiced and holds its shape. The atmosphere is welcoming and our server, Desi, was very attentive and friendly. You cant go wrong if you stop at JDs!

Loved. Food was great. They were able to accommodate my gluten free needs. GLUTEN FREE Hamburger bun was delicious and grill toasted. Had GF fries from a dedicated fryer. Waitress even got me some GF okra. What a treat! Indoor and outdoor dining available. It was a but crowded on Sunday afternoon so we had a short wait. It reminded me so much of those independent Hamburger places that I grew up enjoying. Dont give up on your way out there. It is worth the trip. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bun. Dedicated fryer for French fries. Very considerate about my GF needs. I did not get sick!

Terrible dry fries and they give you so little for charging $9 for a basket Lettuce is bag shredded lettuce... which is strange with artisan buns... Also when you pay cash they round up and dont tell you before you pay or post that on the door. Service is slow. Probably one of the worst places Ive eaten at.

We had many people suggest trying this place out. We decided to give it a try tonight with 8 people. The wait was reasonable when we got there and check back 30 minutes later and was told it would be another 30-45 minutes to get sat. There was 6-4 top table ready to go. My wife asked again and they let us sit at two table next to each other. We took that option with kids so they could get feed. The services was very slow and saw another table next to us get there drinks and food before we got our bar drinks. We were told we could not connect the two patio tables for 4 together which was disappointing since we were there for a birthday dinner. Then we got 20% tip added to our check because we were a table for 8 but only 4 people per table. Never seen that before in my life for a table of 4. Bugger was good but sides were very average voted by the group.

OMG . Take my money ! The best place hands down ! Walked in tonight and had a couple drinks while I waited for my dinner order for my family. Atmosphere was awesome. I was on an important call the whole time I was there and the bartender and staff was able to communicate and take my order. It was so welcoming . They took care of me and made everything awesome. When we sat down to eat 30 mins later at home , our food was STILL on point ! Love this ! Thank you for bringing your business here for us to taste and enjoy! Badass!!!!! I will tell everyone about this place !

Food was fantastic, service was phenomenal. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Wish it was a little bigger in the inside so seating wouldn t be much of issue. We took our little one and she wasn t having it in this Texas heat . Patio is great though!!! Just not in the Texas heat haha. Will be back for more though!!! Limited inside eating, but they have plenty of outdoor seating. The Allie Mai & JD with fries and onion rings are good, but the onion rings needed salt. The burger patties are a good size, so theres no need to make it a double patty. Downfall, Im disappointed they did away with the beer battered onion rings. The to go drink for $3.99 is very small! You get almost double the size and free refills if dining in. I would think the to go cups would be bigger.

WOW! We met friends here and figured it as a social opportunity and no big deal about how the food might be. Welp... it was a Big Deal! The food was Fantastic!! We all thought so! I dont eat beef, so treated myself to their chicken sandwich (requesting the sour dough bun rather than the advertised Texas toast). People, these are the Best buns Ive Ever tasted, like Ever! Soft, a touch of sweet, and my favorite sourdough! Okra fries were different and wonderful! My chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked and delicious. My husband said the meat is his burger was delectable, lean, and fresh tasting. What a win!! J.D.s fare has more of a specialty burger/sammy taste than its atmosphere portends. It doesnt matter! I only mention it at all to say that one should not judge this wonderful place as just a run-of-the-mill burger spot. Seriously upscale burgers, sammys and sides. The service was also excellent, friendly, and professional. This will be our new go to place when burger cravings hit. Greatness here!

Had dinner tonight for the second time at JD s and once again They Did Not Disappoint. Food was fantastic and service even better! The bartender whipped me up a couple refreshing mocktails. Our server, Cristian, was attentive & patient. My son got googly eyes over Chef Maya (please forgive spelling) who brought us some of the best chocolate cake that I have ever eaten! We will definitely be back very soon!!! You have to try these Okra Fries! Yummm! My only request would be that the kid s slider basket come with two sliders.
