Best bar in Denton, honestly. Best cocktails, great selection of Whiskey...when Josh remembers. Ken and Bobs humor is top notch. Brett, Matt, Tony, and Myras no nonsense attitude, creativity, and excellent bar skills are second to none. The atmosphere is like Cheers. It s got a long bar top, plenty of room and character, and Hoochies (next door) delivers.

Great relaxed bar! Fun fact, owner Joshua only works on Tuesdays, and is super great to discuss cocktails with! My sisters and I shared so many different ones which was a great way to try more of the great flavors on the menu. The Rosemary Maple Bourbon Smash or the China Doll (may not be on the menu, so just ask for it) were my two favorites. The Whiskey Smash was a little too sour/tart for my liking but still made with love! The dude had WONDERFUL coffee flavor as expected with coffee liqueur made in house! Definitely worth a stop if in the area. Would be a regular bar for me if I lived here!

I came in with my friend and ordered a beer. My friend ordered a cocktail. The bartender gave my friend the cocktail but never came back with my beer. He proceeded to wash dishes and make another drink for another patron. After about 15 minutes of waiting I waved the bartender down and asked if I could get my beer. He looked surprised and then responded by saying I think you might have had too much and Im not going to serve you. That is a perfectly acceptable response and his right as a bartender. But I dont understand why he didnt say that when I placed my order. My friend was confused too as the bartender had not requested payment for his drink at this point. My friend said he has never seen anyone get cut off at this bar and it was only our second drink of the night. I looked around the bar and noticed I was the only person of color in there. I suddenly realized maybe this spot isnt the safest place for me to drink at and we left immediately.

Great old school bar, a block off the square. Good mix of beers and cocktails, top shelf pretzels. Bartender managed to be there when you needed him & not there when you didn t. Reasonably priced, too - 4 beers and an amaretto sour was about $30.

Our go to place for cocktails in Denton. Diverse crowd from 20 something to seasoned citizens. The whole staff is really engaged and at least one of the ownership is almost always there. Cocktails really creative and good selection of beers. Closest thing to a Cheers place in Denton. Great experience all away around. Best old fashioned in Denton county.

Friendliest staff and tasty drinks at good prices. There is an expansive selection on the jukebox. Plenty of room to social distance. Staff is excellent at cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning. Before COVID bands could play. I caught a blues band here pre-covid and that was a great time.

This is probably one of my favorite places to go in Denton. They pour a fair drink for an honest price and have a really laid-back relaxing atmosphere. You could always have a good conversation with one of the regulars, the bartender, or the owner who often can be seen at the bar chatting up the regulars. If youre looking for a nice place to have a drink and isnt so noisy that you can actually have a conversation with the person next to you, I highly suggest Hickory Street Lounge.

Best cocktails in town! At least as good as Paschals which I love too but with a more local vibe and lower prices. Bartenders are friendly and really know their stuff. Theres often room to sit down with a group of 4 to 8. You can easily grab food from any of the nearby restaurants. My favorite drink here is the whiskey smash but they also feature great seasonal cocktails and various specials. Cheers!

One of the better kept secrets in Denton. Great cocktails. There are better places to go if you want craft beer. Very casual environment filled with a lot of folks that passed 21 a long time ago -- and that is not a bad thing unless you are going out to be seen. The cocktails range from good to excellent depending on the bartender. Beware if they cram a live band into the corner and they are using amplified instruments. The venue is a little too cozy for that volume level.

If you havent been to Hickory Street Lounge, please check it out. Tonight we decided on here by the fact that Paschalls is closed for maintenance. My girlfriend and I love a good cocktail and this place does not disappoint! Josh knows his stuff and his surprise recommendation drinks were fantastic!
