Dr Caldwell is Great! BUT, his office staff is HORRIBLE. The office processes will make you lose your religion. They are rude and care more about their personal conversations than customer service. It took months before my wife received her CPAP machine. When we called to follow up after several weeks, the attendant stated that he was the one that placed orders and he just had not got to it. Then, my wife tried to schedule an appoint to see Dr. Caldwell to let him know first hand about the incompetence. They told her she couldnt see him until Oct. Sad.

My husband and i attended the appointment and were very impressed with Dr Caldwell. We had many questions and he answered every one of them and gave us all the time we needed. I ve been a patient of Dr. Caldwell for a few years. He is an amazing doctor and I feel blessed to have found him. He makes you feel important at every appointment. He listens to you and gives you the personal attention you want from a doctor, which is extremely rare these days. He takes the time to find out what your issues are and speaks with you about his recommendations and why he is recommending them. He stays up on the latest news on cardiology and other medical matters and shares his thoughts while making his recommendations. Every visit, I leave his office feeling like he truly cares for my health and I am getting the best care. His office staff is also amazing. They are always friendly and welcoming. I have seen Dr.Caldwell for several years. He was recommended by my Father. He was the driving force for me, to take my health seriously. He is kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I have been a patient of DR Caldwell s for the past twenty-three (23) years. He has successfully shepherded me through five major surgical procedures beginning in 2000 and ending October 2023. He first discovered a tumor in my heart that resulted in Open Heart Surgery. The latest diagnoses resulted in a new Heart Valve coupled with a Pace Maker. In between DR Caldwell has found electrical faults on three different occasions that required critical hospital procedures to correct the problems. On all 5 accounts each and every procedure was highly successful and without a doubt was a result of Dr Caldwell s professionalism, knowledge and commitment to the care of his patients. Meanwhile, he has closely monitored my wellbeing to include thoughtful scheduling of appointments, keeping track of my medications, treating my sleep apathy and ensuring I m in as good health as possible. He cares. He is an awesome Cardiologist. I highly recommend DR Caldwell

I simply can t find words of how much I value this office. If you have any cardio concerns or actually have cardio issues this is the only place to go. Everyone, starting with the front desk staff, all the way to Dr Caldwell himself is just an exceptional human being that cares. Cardio issues are complex and people in this office truly understand that and they will listen patiently no matter what s on your mind. You will not get a feeling of being just another stat on their sheet. After you express your concerns Dr Caldwell goes in debt to explain what his thoughts on matter are, communicates clearly how to address the issue. No matter what mood I walked in, I walked out more confident. This is not some corporate office with patient turnover. This place makes you feel glad you found them, cause they treat you as if you are their only patient. All I can say is thank you.

I had AFIB a number of years ago, and the ER referred me to Dr Caldwell. He did an in-depth diagnoses, including stress tests, and gave me the tools to keep it under control. Since then hes spent time answering my many questions, and that quality doctor time is something you dont get with the assembly line medicine overseen by Big Med. One caveat -- to improve your health, you not only have to listen to your doctor, you have to heed the advice. Ive done that and havent had an AFIB episode in almost 3 years. I would highly recommend Dr Caldwell to anyone.

What can I say about Dr. Caldwell that hasnt already been said. He is by far my most favorite physician regardless of their specialty. Dr. Caldwell is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on everything. He takes his time with the patient, answering any and all questions that the patient has. He never makes you feel rushed. He has a calming and reassuring effect in his voice and demeanor. He genuinely cares about patients concerns. When you ask him a question, he not only answers patiently, but he also gives examples similar to your situation from his vast experiences in the past. Dr. Caldwell is the absolute best! My husband went to him and referred my Father. He saved my fathers life and we will always be grateful for him. I used to think that the bigger the provider, the better care you receive. But that is far from the truth. You miss out on the personal relationship and personalized care at a large provider- you are just another patient. We have built a great Dr/patient relationship with Dr Caldwell and couldn t be more pleased with the care he provides. He is passionate about what he does and it shows. Dr. Caldwell have been my cardiologist for many years and I can t recommend him enough. He is very informed and professional, his staff are friendly and competent, and I have received excellent care. The Dr. and his P/A, Kathy, are both seasoned practitioners who have seen it all and are not easily excited; they are great clinicians and well respected in the community. The office is very well run and extremely responsive to patient needs and questions. Dr. Caldwell is affiliated with multiple hospital systems, which is a real benefit in my book in that he refers to the best surgeons and cardiac specialists, rather than just those in one network. I would add that this practice is excellent about coordinating care with my other doctors, with open communication and documentation (This is an important issue for me). In short, this is an excellent practice with a great cardiologist and staff and they are highly recommended!

My wife and i moved here from Chicago in 2021. Dr. Caldwell was recommended to me as I needed to find a cardiologist here in Texas. I have been seen by Dr. Caldwell and his Nurse Practioner Kathy Smith for almost 3 years now. I cannot say enough good things about both! They use cutting edge medicine along with good old fashion common sense to treat you. They were able to alert me to a significant issue with my liver and probably saved my life! There honest approach to taking time with their patients and ordering tests when they are appropriate saves both time and money for me. I listened to their practical advice on minor life style and diet charges and my health is better than it has been in years. They understand what is realistic and sustainable changes patients can do with out denying you of everything. They listen, offer sound advice and will be your greatest motivators to achieve real change without scolding you or speaking down to you. I would recommend this practice to anyone in need of cardiology services. I could not be happier with the care I have gotten. Dr. Caldwell and his entire staff are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise cold corporate healthcare environment. Again thank you Dr. Caldwell and Kathy for giving me back my health!

Love Dr. Caldwell. I have been taking my Dad to see him for more than a year now. I knew my Dad needed a doctor who would level with him and break that physician-patient barrier. My dad gets along with him like theyve known each other their whole lives. I could not imagine taking my dad to any other provider. His office staff is very nice, organized and responsive. Their office is always clean and tidy. They do a ton of in office procedures, EKG, Echos, sleep studies, stress tests, the whole nine. I wish they had someone to draw labs at the appointments, but I feel that is becoming less popular in office settings these days anyways.

I met with Kathy Smith, not Caldwell himself. Not only would she show up to appointments late, she did a HORRIBLE job with my heart issues. She focused more on sleep apnea, high blood pressure (131/84), and telling me that my chest discomfort is due to: Well, you re just more aware of yourself now than you were. She requested zero imaging for my heart. Luckily I found another Cardiologist who actually carried and found a tumor in my Right Atrium. I had heart surgery several days ago to have it removed. Had I listen to her, I d be dead or dying right now. I will NEVER return to this location!

Dr. Caldwell, the nurse I saw and the gentleman who did my echo were awesome! A couple of ladies in the front office could use some coaching on the way they handle patients. I scheduled my echo and echo follow up almost a month out at the end of my initial visit. I told the scheduler I was getting preop clearance and didn t understand why I had to have a follow up unless something was found. She just kept telling me I had to even for preop clearance so I scheduled that follow up the day of my initial visit as Dr. Caldwell is hard to get into. The day of my echo, I was told that I couldn t see the NP who they had scheduled me with and it would be weeks before I could be seen. This upset me as it delayed getting cardiac clearance and scheduling a surgery. The scheduler told me whoever scheduled me obviously didn t know it was preop. I told her she did and she told me I didn t tell her it was preop. Ummm .yes I did and she even repeated it to me. I told her that and the response was Oh . And, I shouldn t have had to tell her. She should ve made sure who I needed to be seen by before she scheduled it. After that, I called the office and told the lady I spoke to (who s name I don t recall) of the issue and because of this, they are causing me to have to delay surgery. Her response was what do you want me to do about it? Well, that attitude didn t make me happy. They ended up putting me on a waiting list and I was assured I d be called for the first cancellation. Apparently that wasn t true because I called this morning and found out of a cancellation and was thankfully able to get in today. Overall, it all worked out. Like I said, Dr. Caldwell is wonderful but a couple of his staff not so much so in my dealing with them.

My husbands family is known to have heart attacks around age 50 male an female. So in 2019 at the age of 48 we decided to try and prevent this from happening to him. I searched for a specialist and came to this dr and he is who we chose. He went for a complete check-up 1st appointment we thought. They said he needed a sleep study and a stress test and they would call an get them set up. We waited an a week went by then 2 weeks went by so I called. They said give me a few minutes an I will call you back. They called back with strees test date. He did strees test with never any results. I called to see about results and the date for sleep study. They asked if they could call me back with the information. I waited a couple of days and nothing. By this time it has been well over 2months since 1st office visit. I called them the following Monday to see if they had any information. Their reply was not anything yet. So here it is 2021 and guess what my husband turned 50 May 23. As I sit in the hospital room following yesterdays morning emergency to a trip in the ambulance my husband had a major heart attack from 99% in 1 artery and 50% in another. If this office staff wouldve followed up like an office does this could have more then likely been prevented. We could have lost him yesterday. Choose wisely!

Dr Caldwell assistant is great also. the only problem I have is with the billing department, time after time I am billed for payments I have Paid!! i pay as I go... every visit. My husband has gone to Dr Caldwell once for a sleep study. They gave him the sleep study equipment. to bring home for the night took over a month to get results and the charged 75.00 to get the results, that was paid also when i went in for my visit . my Husband is charge again for the payment i made; When i called TO ASK BILLING KEEPS SAYING HIS ACCOUNT AND MY ACCOUNT ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. because I PAID HIS ACCOUNTIT STILL SHOWS UNPAID !! Then they said after further review i was correct and they owed me money and it would be applied correctly. But still GET A BILL FOR MY HUSBANDS ACCOUNT!! THERE ACCOUNTING IS HORIBLE . KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPT IF YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET,

Sad I have to write this review because I truly dont believe that even Dr Caldwell knows about it, back I think April my Dr called to have a sleep study done, 2,5 months went by and not a call, I made the call, set appointment, me not the Drs office, that night I told the tech that I have been using a machine for 30 years at the end of the test she told me it was very likely that I had to return for another test, not one call after, 3 months later I called to find out the results, ( still no call from the office) and was told it was going to be 1,5 months to get an appointment for the results, this is plain bad service and I suggested to my Dr not to refer anyone to this office for this test, just today got the results from my personal Dr who had to call this office. Dr review your employees that are in charge of this are they need lost of training, sorry for the bad review but you need it to know. PS: to make things worth they told my Dr I had sleep apnea, hello I been using a mashing for 30 years, all I need is reset it to proper setting. Dont assume read and listen first.

This is my first review, and hate that it is not a favorable one. First, let me just say that Dr. Caldwell is very nice and Im sure a great Cardiologist. This is more about his staff. Without going into a long story, it took 2 months and me calling about the sleep study before I heard anything. I thought I would check on it, since I was in the hospital after having 2 heart attacks. I was told Oh yea, umm yes you have sleep apnea. Great. Met with Dr. Caldwell about a week later, and again he was very professional. I was told that I would hear about getting the C-Pap machine sometime in the week. A week and a half later I call again. Was told Oh Kristi is busy but.. doesnt look like it was ordered. Next day she left a message, I called back and was told We are short staffed and just didnt have time to order it. Two days later I received a call from the supplier and looks as thought I will be picking it up this week. If this sounds whiney or nitpicky please understand that I have horrible heart disease, 5 heart attacks and 7 stents. So, yes anything that will help my heart is important. Kristi is their sleep study coordinator, (Who I was impressed with at the beginning) and was disappointed by the staff that I had to deal with. I hope that my experience is one of very few, which by the other reviews looks like I am.

Outstanding, Dr. Caldwell will sit down and talk to you and explain everything you need to know about you health. He listens to what you have to say. Very nice and respectable. Do hesitate to go see him.
