So Ive been here in Denton for 6 yrs and this is my first visit and most certainly it wont be my last. I enjoyed everything from the coffee w all the creamer choices, even had a choice of sweetners to include stevia to the breakfast selections, oh and they have real butter and the service that Ms Vanessa provided made it that much better. Her patience and advise to what to have and what could be added and what not was on point. When I was ready for the check she offered me a water or coffee to go and I didnt have to ask for a bag or cup for the extra sausage gravy I had. I look forward to treating my sons to this awesome breakfast hot spot. So if you have never been or its been a while go and dont forget to ask for Vanessa for great service and excellent food. Dont forget to tip your servers. HAPPY EATING YALL. NOW, GO GET YOUR GRUB ON.

This is my FAVORITE breakfast place in Denton. We go to breakfast every Saturday morning and have tried literally every spot in Denton - so I dont say this lightly! Not only is the food spectacular but the servers are friendly and eager to take the best care of you possible. On our most recent visit, I ordered the Very Berry French Toast and my friend ordered the Waffle N More (a waffle with eggs, bacon, and sausage). It was all wonderful. Next time, I will order the french toast without the berry glaze because it was a little too sweet for me. Also, I definitely recommend the Very Berry Yogurt Bowl. Definitely worth the visit despite it being located in a humble shopping strip center. We look forward to visiting this spot again this weekend.

This place is a HIDDEN GEM!!! They were busy this past Labor Day but we were able to call ahead and get on their waitlist and it was a real timesaver. My favorite is the garden veggie skillet with their jalapeño hot sauce. I never looked back after that. My wife loved her Hangover burger and we shared a blueberry vanilla French Toast. OMG! Don t judge it by the shopping center it s located in because it s different once you are inside. It has the atmosphere of an upscale neighborhood restaurant where you feel like you are visiting family. The staff is so friendly and they look like they enjoy their jobs. Definitely recommend but be patient when they do get busy because it s worth it!

Waited 45 minutes to be sat. When food came out it was cold, mid and THERE WAS A HAIR! I couldn t tell if it was a beard hair or from down below, but either way absolutely disgusting and will never eat here again or recommend. The only positive thing about this place was our waitress - i forgot her name but she had split hair and was the sweetest girl who made it worth the drive there.

Always wanted to try this place & didnt regret it! This is my hidden gem. Went on a Sunday for lunch, and happy to find no wait. Orange juice was fresh squeezed (in September) and eggs were yummy. I really enjoyed the variety on the menu from waffles to pancakes to crepes, skillets, omelets, sandwiches, etc... They must have something for everyone. Service was excellent and fast, food came out quickly. I will be going back as much as I can!

Called to ask if they were hiring, before I even said hello I was met with a horrible attitude by the manager. Just extremely unprofessional to answer a phone call that way, I don t understand why as a manager before I can even say hello you are pissed off at the caller? Not a great way to bring in customers if thats your usual attitude, I get having a stressful day but theres really no need to take it out on an unsuspecting caller.

I ordered the chicken and waffle. The waffle honestly was exactly like the Texas shaped waffles you get free when staying at nearly any hotel. Exactly. But here you get exactly one. The chicken appeared to be frozen chicken fingers that were slimy and undercooked underneath a fried crust that slid off upon being disturbed. I sent the chicken back as I was afraid to eat it. They offered me something else, but I declined. Though I didnt eat the chicken, I still wound up paying for it. For the price, to say I was underwhelmed would be an overstatement. The staff was friendly enough, though I question the professionalism since they still charged me for food I sent back. It feels like they are attempting to be something. I dont know what that something is, but I think they are failing at it.

Terrible place, they charge for subbing everything! I got a waffle and it was undercook (disgusting) they replaced it (three times) no problem but they charge you for how many times your get a replacement and with no saying. My husbands omelette was very flavorless and the hash brown portion is small and burnt. The server being nice said would you like some pancakes because our food was so bad and they ended up charging us for that too. I would not recommend what so ever.

Haley was amazing! Our cup was never empty and coffee always hot. My husband and I 9 times out of 10 get the biscuit & gravy omelette and it is delicious every time! A hidden gem! Tucked in a mall this restaurant is a pleasant surprise! We had omelettes and hash browns. Hash browns were perfect, crispy on the outside and flavourful. My veggie omelette was hugh and packed with veggies and cheese. Yum! We also had a chorizo omelette, very good! Came up to Ponder for the morning to pick Strawberries and hit this little place for breakfast on the way back to DFW. Im not a big biscuits and gravy person but theirs was outstanding! I ve been coming here for several years and have NEVER been disappointed! Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Today my waitress was Hailey and she was great. After I was seated, it took her a few mins to get to me because she was taking care of other customers. First thing she did was apologize for the wait but in my opinion it wasn t much of a wait at all, gave me time to look over the menu. She was very friendly (as was everyone else), made sure I had everything I needed and kept checking on me, even after she brought my bill. I highly recommend Egg House Cafe, 5 s all around.

Since Covid I have been able to order a To-Go order either through a delivery app or over the phone at the restaurant. I personally enjoy their food specifically the various crepes and egg benedicts. However, I was recently unable to order a To-Go order even when I physically drove to the restaurant. The hostess said they dont do To-Go at all and asked if I wanted to sit down to eat. I did not want to sit down since I was picking up food for myself and others and was personally dressed in PJs. So Im not even sure if you can take your leftovers home at this location anymore since they seem to not be equipped to send food out their doors in a to-go box. Extremely disappointing and completely ridiculously unheard of in the restaurant industry. Its not a gourmet stylish pop-up or anything. Its located in a rough looking strip mall. Im not sure what they are trying to accomplish with this type of service but it is marketing a very limited demographic of customers who have the intention of sitting down at a restaurant before 2pm. Extremely disappointing and absurd.

Came here because NorthPoint was too busy, had a really great time! The wait was long but the line moved quickly, the food was worth it too! We spilled some water and did our best to clean it up, but almost immediately a server was over to help us clean up. I think the one thing I wasnt happy with was the price of the coffee, we didnt realize it would be 3$ a cup, thought it would be 3$ for the table, as other resturaunts are. I cant complain because it was an oversight on our part, but it was a little complexing when we saw the bill. In general prices were a little higher overall, but again, not anyones fault. Overall, much nicer than I expected, definetly coming here again. Vegetarian options: I got the veggie skillet, very delicious. Would highly reccomend.

I am conflicted about giving this place 1 star, and dragged my feet on leaving this review, because this used to be my absolute favorite breakfast place in town. I recommended it to everyone, spent several Saturday mornings there, and brought all my friends and family at some point. I met a group of friends here to have brunch for my birthday, back in August, and after the way we were treated I havent been back since. They had never taken reservations in the past, but since there were going to be 8 of us, I decided to call ahead and at least give them a heads up the day before. When I spoke to the host, he said he was glad that I called because they had just recently started taking reservations for big parties. I gave him the number in our party and said that we would like to come in at 11am. He stated that the time we wanted wouldnt work because there was a big party for a Reunion already booked for that time. He offered a 10am reservation instead. That worked for everyone, so I agreed to that time. My friends and I met there at 10am, I was able to order my favorite dish, and I was thoroughly enjoying my birthday. I was mostly finished eating, but still enjoying my coffee, and then the host came over and ruined our brunch. He gave us our checks before we were even finished eating and drinking, and then had the nerve to ask us all to leave because they needed the table. I am 45 years old, have eaten in too many restaurants to count, in too many countries to count, and I have NEVER been asked to leave. Just so everybody knows, I am not dramatic or a complainer. I am typically a pretty pleasant customer. I tip very well, I am a kind person, and leave a good review at almost every place I dine at. I am APPALLED at the hosts behavior, and the fact that he didnt come up with any other solution to his problem besides asking paying customers to leave. The restaurant was not full at the time either, we counted at least 3 tables that seated 4 people that were empty, so other tables could have been pushed together for the other party waiting. Or he could have even talked to us about the situation and asked us if we would be willing to move to another table to finish our food and drinks. Im a pretty reasonable person, but that was poor planning on his part. To ask a party of 8 to be finished eating within an hour is not that feasible. If he would have spoken with us when we got there, we would have gladly waited for a different section to open up, since they obviously needed that section for the 11am reservation. Especially since we only needed 2 tables. Poor planning on his part, should not have resulted in asking people to leave and losing repeat customers. I find it inexcusable and very poor customer service. I hope the owner reads this and ensures a change in their policy.

We woke up hungry and didn t feel like making breakfast at home so we drove through 9 degree weather to get to the Egg House Cafe. They were pretty busy but we only waited 5 minutes for a table. We enjoyed their Gluten free pancakes and breakfast tacos. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is great when they do have it. Place has good vibes and the staff are friendly. I don t want to be too scathing on this review since it was a holiday, and it had snowed the previous night. We had been to this location before and had enjoyed it! This last time, we were not impressed however. I had ordered the Monte Carlo which was supposed to come with three slices of French toast, but it arrived with only two. My wife ordered the avocado eggs Benedict. It was supposed to come with bacon crumbles, but arrived with none in sight. The poached eggs were so hard, we had to reorder another batch. By the time it had arrived, my wife s Benedict was already cold. The server was very friendly and no complaints about the atmosphere. Again, I m very understanding about the weather circumstances and it being MLK weekend, but I don t think we will be eating here again for a while.

This is my first time at this location. It is a very nice place. I was very surprised by how nice the inside looked. The area is a pretty decent area, in an older part of town, but the location is in a safe place. The area is well-lit lots of traffic and lots of other businesses close by. The service was exceptional. My server was great, and the place was clean as well as the restroom. The food was outstanding.

We got there around 11 a.m. and the place was busy. It only took a few minutes to get a table. There were lots of choices on the menu, my son chose the meat lovers skillet breakfast with over easy eggs and I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with over easy eggs. Everything was delicious and well priced. Staff and servers were extra friendly. I highly recommend this breakfast spot.

The food was decent. However, the manager or owner (I don t know what he was) was extremely rude. We did not ask for anything free, we did not ask for a discount. We only asked for what we paid for. We are other tables that complained about things also, and everything was our fault. He is perfect and his staff is perfect and his eyes and they do not make mistakes, I will never return. I am disabled and must put my leg up on the booth and he told me to take it down. I have never been talk to you like that, and it was not in the way at all. He told me that he was worried I would trip his server. My foot was not hanging off . He was just very arrogant and dismissive and rude and we were not the only customers that thought so, there were many of them talking about him. Wheelchair accessibility: None. He does not care if you have a handicap or a disability.

My boyfriend and I came here for a quick bite. We were able to get in and out within an hour. We ordered within 10 minutes of sitting, waited about 40 minutes for 2-2x4s. Plates were warm from sitting under heat lamps, bacon was hard, pancakes were doughy, and they skimped out on the very berry drizzling that was requested. Overall, Id rather pay $5 more to go to seven mile.

Great Sunday Breakfast Place! We knew we were in the right place when we saw people waiting outside. We had less than a 20-minute wait to be seated, & it was worth the wait. I ordered eggs, bacon, & toast a la carte. Eggs were cooked to order, fresh & hot, toast & bacon were delicious. Our server passed by frequently to offer coffee re-fills. Nice atmosphere. Which is so odd for a restaurant. Also their options were so limited. I just made my own plate. The food lacked seasoning.. it was not the best experience. We really didnt know what to expect when we pulled into the strip center. Its not fancy on the outside and just looks like an average diner. We were surprised when we went in. Its very modern and has a good number of staff that are very friendly. The food was great and they have a few twists on old favorites like the biscuits and gravy omelette. These guys were packed and had a 30 minute wait last Sunday. Doesnt look like much from the outside, but were pleasantly surprised once inside! Friendly and efficient staff. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, OMG! This place is not diner quality . It s brunch quality. They use free range eggs and you can taste the quality ingredients. The strawberries and blueberries were fresh but you definitely need syrup for the brioche french toast. They have an amazing maple syrup that pairs well with the French Toast and the avocado Benedict was EGGSELLENT. The English muffin was grilled just right. Highly recommend! This is our favourite breakfast spot I just wish they offered mimosas or espresso coffee options

Denton is NOT the place for this restaurant. They were incredibly homophobic and by the time myself and the rest of my table left, we felt targeted and soooo uncomfortable. This place was okay for a while but it was made incredibly clear that the company is okay with the mistreatment of their customers. We had met the owner multiple times and he WATCHED as we were repeatedly disrespected and belittled by our waitress. We spent double the time we d ever spent there, she would not look at us, and at no point asked if we needed anything. Disappointing and truly feels like a shame to the city of Denton.
