I had the pulled pork tacos. They were good. I enjoyed the toppings and the cream sauce they added. Pork was a little drier than Im used to but the flavor was good. Better be prepared to eat outside if you go during a busy time. Only one table inside and some bar top seating. Interesting little place in downtown Denton. Vegetarian options: Smoked jackfruit

I almost hesitate to write this because I don t want more people here or for them to run out of certain foods on certain days.. but this is the best bbq place I ve ever experienced. I ate at Greenhouse and ordered their brisket tacos.. come to find, they get their meat from Juicy Pig and charge more for it. Everything i ve tried so far is top notch. I go at least once a week. I am addicted.

Visited this location based on previous reviews while in Denton. I dont travel to this city often so we were looking for a unique place for Barbq. The food was good and tastefully crafted. I had some tacos and my friend had the chicken. The place is very small so it does have the ambience of an old country place in the middle of Denton. Hardly any sitting inside and it was just as hot as outside. The severs were attentive enough but did not seem overly welcoming or appreciate our having visited. Did not really engage, I was expecting more.

I got 1lb of brisket and a rack of ribs. The best pork ribs I ve ever had. They stuck to basics with their salt and pepper seasoning. I appreciate this because all you need is salt and pepper, quit putting weird seasonings on bbq, just smoke the damn meat. Which they did to perfection. The brisket was better than expected with the word Pig in their name. Great bark, good flavor and moist. For just a random spot to try it s some of the best I ve eaten around DFW area. They have beef ribs on the weekends and will definitely have to come back for that. Also some of the best service I ve had in a while, the people really seemed to be excited about their job on a Thursday at 11AM, I like that.

My son is a connoisseur of barbecue. He said that was the best beef brisket he has ever eaten. We have tried brisket from Kansas City all the way to Florida, and this is by far the best we ve ever had. I had the turkey and their macaroni and cheese with green chilies, best I have ever had as well. You won t be disappointed if you go there.

Good BBQ, but on my receipt there was a 4% technology charge. NO restaurant is worth that. Not one. First, credit card fees are a cost of doing business, not something to pass on with an extra fee. Second, 4% is outrageous. If that is really what they are paying, they didnt even try. Ive never paid more that 1.7% + 10 cents for merchant fees, and I NEVER added that to the receipt. The merchant agreement actually forbids it. Being a small business makes no difference. I would not tolerate that from chain restaurant, fast food, or a fine dining establishment. Why should I tolerate it from a small business?

Read this to the end, where the best part is Had the Whole Pig Plate with sliced brisket, pork ribs, and habanero sausage with the beans and potato salad as my sides this is very good Texas style barbecue. They pay close attention to the seasoning and smoking their meats the right amount of time to achieve maximum flavor, and not too much smoke that it is overwhelming. The brisket was tender and had a nice salty and peppery bark. The pork ribs had that competition bite and seasoned perfectly. The sausage, although served sliced, had that snap to the link that you look for from a professional pitmaster. The beans had the right amount of seasoning and they did not throw everything and the kitchen sink in them like some people do. The potato salad reminded me of my grandmothers, mustard-based and a nice texture from the finally minced red onion. Now, let me tell you about this incredible beef rib that I took home. This thing is next level Texas barbecue. It was just a huge beef rib that was perfectly seasoned and smoked. You could have pulled it right off of the bone. The perfect blend of salt and pepper, Smoked to perfection and just melts in your mouth. A great man once said this will change your life and he was not wrong! look, there are two kinds of people in this world, those who have had this beef rib, and those who have unfortunately missed out!

They do have indoor seating but only 1 table and a counter with 3-4 seats. Beef ribs was the best thing i had here. They only serve it on thurs to sun and sell out quick. I got the last one at around 12:15ish so they go quick. Everything real nice. Food is good portion sizes. Would go again if I lived in the state.

OMG, almost hate to review this because we missed out on the beef ribs because they were sold out SO obviously they are well loved! The pork ribs are definitely the best weve had. On a leisurely trip from Dallas to Norman I looked up barbecue. The juicy pig was near downtown Denton and was a delightful surprise. The young men working in there were kind and helpful. I was immediately drawn to the sandwich with pulled pork spicy sausage and spicy coleslaw. I added spicy sauce and had a sandwich to remember. I took a brisket sandwich home to my husband, and he was bowled over. So two weeks later on the way back to Dallas we went way out of our way to stop there again. We didn t need to try anything else on the menu! Portions are generous on the sandwiches: 1/3 pound instead of the quarter pound we re used to. The second sandwich I was able to save half for another treat later.The first time I could not stop eating and ate the whole thing!

I rate BBQ joints by the quality of their meats: brisket, ribs and chicken. I also enjoy the differences in their slaws and Mac & Cheeses. Unfortunately, if you want ribs here you need to arrive well before 7pm on a Friday. I really enjoyed the brisket which ai got sliced from the point. Smoke ring was perfect and the meat was tender and tasty. The smoked chicken was also good. My highlight were the slaws! I got both offerings and was pleasantly surprised at the taste and originality. The slaw #3 is a jalapeno cilantro slaw that was outstanding. Jalapeno flavor came through without the heat. The cranberry walnut slaw was my favorite and I will definitely order it next (hope I get here before they run out of ribs). Minimal indoor seating but plenty of patio seating. I have given them a 4 1/2 stars because I was unable to try the ribs. Highly recommend, but hope it stays a hole-in-wall place I can frequent often.

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews and I ordered it to go. The guys at the counter were nice but it was the food and price which are the reasons I will never return. I ordered 1/2 pound of turkey and 1/2 pound of brisket. They did include 1 piece of white bread with each order. Like I said I really wanted to like this place but the meat was so salty that I couldn t eat it, nor could my son or wife. I ordered both the potato salad and slaw. The potato salad was watery and the slaw was okay. After spending close to $60 I could have enjoyed something else.

Definitely the best restaurant we tried during our vacation. Got the brisket sandwich, Texas style creamed corn, and sweet tea, and all of it was delicious. My wife and sister both ordered daHutch, basically a loaded baked potato smothered in gumbo, and were similarly impressed. Staff was friendly, and food was ready in no time at all. Interior is nice and cozy, with a really cool foil stamp ceiling, and there is a large patio area, but it was too cold for it that day. Huge mural on the building next door that is neat to look at too. Loved that they had The Rifleman (I think) playing on the TV, and every song on the playlist while we were there was killer - had to Shazam several. My exact kind of alternative jams, so it was the perfect vibe for a perfect lunch. Would love to go back next time Im in town.

All good with everything except the rub on the ribs, didnt have fine cracked black pepper. I kept getting pepper in my teeth, but no flavor in the black pepper. The ribs, they were spot on tonight. They were tender, pulled off the bone easily, and seasoned perfect. The brisket was good...but lacked a little bark. The pulled pork was surprisingly moist (it was shredded very fine so I thought it was dry), and seasoned and smoked perfectly. Really good food here. Nothing needed sauce. Let them know that the ribs, I think, were better than Blacks in Lockhart.

This place is fantastic! I honestly didnt expect to like it seeing that I dont usually like barbecue. But much to my delight it was answering. I got the turkey palooza with the fixings and I could not get enough. We were just stopping by on our way back home to Dallas, but trust me we will come back up to Denton for more. Thank you guys yall are more than helpful yall were very patient with me. This place deserves 10 stars. I also want to talk about that amazing California barbecue sauce; I loved it! I put it all over my turkey sandwich. I dont think Ive ever tasted anything quite like it it is amazing. Thank you guys for an awesome experience great food and very friendly service we will be back.

I was craving ribs and went here for lunch on Thursday August 31st. The ribs were great, they did not even need sauce. Smoke was perfect. I had the No. 3 coleslaw which was great to. Service was great and people were friendly. Will try their brisket and sausage next time. Sorry that I did not take a photo.

Ordered take-out when they first opened for my drive back to central Oklahoma. The food and service was amazing. The business came highly recommended by many local Denton residents and I can see why. The food was amazingly delicious! I ordered a pound of smoked small sausage w potato salad and a large smoked mac-n-cheese w 2 slices of thick bread for $50.

Ordered the whole pig plate and half rack of ribs. Everything was juicy including the chicken that normally tends to be dry in any BBQ. The St Louis style ribs were excellent with dry rub seasoning. The boys across the counter were pleasant and friendly. It was definitely value for money and well go back for sure.

Weve been on the hunt for a good local Texas bbq place and this place was DELICIOUS! We had the habanero sausage, brisket(sliced), ribs, and two sides (Ranchero beans and potato salad). All of it was delicious! The meat didnt need sauce because it was seasoned so well, but was a nice compliment to the meat! Also, the deviled eggs that come with the plates are pleasant treat! Staff was also very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Wow I m impressed. This place has the best brisket in Denton in my opinion. I have had a lot of dietary issues. I went here and explained how I need a certain cut off of the brisket. They said no problem and helped me out. I have been to about 12 bbq places in DFW and this is the first place to actually give me the exact cut I needed to not get sick. Thank you guys so much. I will be telling my friends about how much I like this place.

The people were nice but the restaurant was fairly dirty and you could see flies landing on food as it was being prepared. I ordered the St. Louis style rack of ribs, brisket, large Mac and cheese and large green beans. The sides were pretty good but way over priced and didn t match the price listed on the menu. The ribs and the brisket were the driest meat I ve ever had. It was literally the texture of jerky or really really dry Turkey and pretty much inedible. The flavors were decent if you could get past having to chew so hard. This was my first time here bc I didn t want to get Dickeys bland food but I d go to Dickeys next time instead if you really want fall of the bone ribs and decent brisket.

Well......I am a long standing customer, actually for about 3 months, I was there EVERY FRIDAY to get my dinner. Best ribs around until about an hour ago. I was there for my Half Pig, all ribs and mac-n-cheese. I always watch when they start to cut and today was not different. The pit master started cutting my ribs and they looked great.....juicy and delicious, so I turned to watch tv while they completed my order. I get home, open the box and OMG......these were NOT the ribs that he started cutting. The ribs were DRY and crunchy......so bad, I could not eat them. Soooooo disappointed. Not sure what happened. I guess they needed to get rid of some old ribs to someone who was getting a TO-GO order. There is NO WAY that someone would eat these as a eat-in dinner. I know I wouldnt. I would have DEFINITELY asked for some better ribs. For the price, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I guess from now on, I will need to check or at least watch what they are cutting and giving me in my order. Well, I just ordered Dominos......busy day at work, so I missed lunch. OMG....I just looked at some of the other pictures in other reviews and the ribs look like what I am used to getting. Mine looked NOTHING like those or ANY I have ever received before. WOW...... To others, check before you leave.

Stopped by here today while out on a bike ride and smelled the smoke creeping out into the side street I was cruising down. Stopped in the parking lot and did a quick glance over of the menu and immediately knew I wanted some smoked Turkey. Ordered 1/2 lb of smoked turkey to go with the mild bbq sauce they have and I can tell you this they threw a piece of thick sliced bread in my box a sandwich was made and devoured before I even got halfway home with it. Smoked to perfection, juicy and tender. Can t wait to go back for the ribs now. Plus the folks inside were super friendly and chill. Next time hopefully I can just get fat and full right on the patio.

This place has been on my to try list for some time now and I finally got around trying it tonight. So first and foremost, I love supporting small businesses and family-owned businesses. My intentions here not to bash or hurt anyones feelings. I just like giving honest opinions. So with that being said, the sandwiches themselves were very good, the spicy BBQ sauce was very flavorful as well. The sweet tea was on point, as far as the sides go, wasnt too happy with those. They were very bland. I went with the mac and cheese and the Texas cream corn. Both look very appealing at first glance, but unfortunately they both were extremely bland. So my conclusion is that the sandwiches were okay. Sides not okay. I will visit again in the near future to try something else so I can get more of an accurate review on the other stuff on the menu. Till then, my rating stands 2 stars.
