The vibe is super nice. The service was great. There were lots of different seating arrangements for different groups. Some people even played darts. The one downside was the extremely loud music coming from the first floor. It often shook the floor and was somewhat disturbing. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible

We had cocktail hour here after our wedding and the vibe is unmatched! We rented the space outside of business hours (you wont find somewhere more reasonably priced) and the staff was absolutely incredible!! Our guests are still talking about it almost a year later. Cant thank Paschall Bar enough.

I have been a regular off and on for 6 years and my most recent visit will be my last. Many of the classic cocktails I loved have been removed and replaced with much less impressive drinks with a higher price tag. I could look past that because of inflation The staff was no where to be found when we walked in, it took about 5 minutes of asking hello!? Till a staff member begrudgingly came from the back room to take our order. They were quite rude when I asked about the classic drinks that had been on the menu for 5+ years. I chose something new and it was fine when I went for a second drink the bartender made a comment that implied she was frustrated to be at work and insinuated she was annoyed that it was beginning to get busier. It was just off putting as someone who has worked in the service industry for many years. Seems that another Denton staple, that used to be filed with charm has been ruined with bad customer service and lower quality product.

Used to be a regular, but unfortunately they sold out to Dentons resident evil overlord Sparky and he corporatized the place; removing the charm, character and creative elements that used to make the place great. After all the good staff quit/jumped ship, the new employees also ended up mass quitting after their requests for security/fair compensation were denied/mocked so I guess now they ve tricked some poor new kids into being their cocktail monkeys for substandard pay after being closed for months.

We have always wanted to check this place out, and we couldnt be happier trying it. Amazing...beyond unique cocktails! The only negative is cleanliness. The couches where a little gross almost like someone puked on it. Bathroom floors where beyond sticky. Other than that great cocktail bar. Cheers to cocktails!

Under new management, the drinks are no longer innovative or fresh. The new staff is unaccommodating, unprofessional, and has poor knowledge of their own spirit selections and bartending etiquette. I hope Paschall s can find its way back to the charm and service it once had.

I love coming here to Paschalls- I ve been here 3 times now and the best part of my experience was the friendliness of the staff! Victoria has helped me and my friends and family and is always really helpful - makes the perfect cocktails and is able to cater towards your preferences. I really appreciate her! She s amazing!

Paschall: A Classic, Atmospheric Bar with Masterful Cocktails I had an excellent evening out this past weekend at Paschall. As soon as I stepped inside, I was impressed by the warm, classy atmosphere. The comfy leather seating, vintage details, and oak accents strike the perfect balance between contemporary and old-school charm. Even better, the talented bartender mixes up some of the most well-crafted cocktails Ive ever tried. I ordered one of their specialties from the creative seasonal menu, and the balance of flavors absolutely delighted my tastebuds. Ingredients were clearly of very high-quality. The bartender was friendly and willing to offer spot-on recommendations too. Overall, Paschalls ambience, drink selection, and top-notch service all come together to provide a truly fantastic night-out for cocktail enthusiasts.

This place was SO much fun! Im always in the lookout for secret bars. I love the fact that the entrance is SO low-key. If you didnt know you would not enter. I will take any friend visiting to this hidden gem. Also, their staff was super friendly and the bar tender was classy. Loved the cocktails, and the ambiance is beyond beating. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could give it 5+. Update: I visited again, and it is still amazing!

Radical Hospitality Company who owns this restaurant and many others in town lays off their entire restaurant staff when confronted about paying employees living wages. They did it back in 2020 during COVID and the just did it in again June 2023. Trash company with trash morals and no ethics. Don t spend your money here.

This has to be one of my favorite bars. Its a pretty classy place that lets you be real casual. Just check out some of the photos of this place and you may be hooked. I love the vibe of it being hidden and tucked away that comes with it being a speak easy. But the real star of the show is the high quality bar. I am a cocktail afficianado and this place hits the spot with loads of complex and really unique cocktails on rotation. Totally worth the price. Love coming back.

God bless Texas the coolest bars in downtown Denton was one of the best nights Ive had maybe 25 years it was a crazy night went to see Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Dallas and then we went in party downtown in Denton you should check out downtown Denton Texas the coolest bars down there I just cannot believe I was there!

Visiting from NYC and I am very impressed with this speakeasy. My group and I tried most of the cocktails on offer. Every single one perfectly executed. I cant remember the 2 bartenders names working this past Saturday ( Aug 6) evening. They were working the left and center stations of the bar. Bravo to them! Also to whomever designed the interior. Just a perfect place for cocktails and conversation. If I could give any criticism,it would be to soundproof the live music space downstairs. It bleeds into the room upstairs quite a bit. It was jarring at first,but after a few drinks it kinda fades away. Anyway I will definitely be back next time Im in Denton!!

This is one of our absolute favorite places to go in Denton. The cocktails and atmosphere are second to none. There are gorgeous views of the square, especially at sunset. This is a great place for a date night or quiet evening out. Keep in mind, it s a specialty craft cocktail bar. So don t expect to have your drinks made within a few seconds. The drinks take longer to make, but you can taste the quality. We typically prefer to go on a weeknight to avoid the crowd, but weekends are fun too. You just have to wait a little longer for drinks. This place is a must see in Denton. Favorite cocktails are the Narssica & the Smoking Jacket.

THE BEST DRINKS ANYWHERE. The bar itself is a bit small but the decor and layout make it very intimate and a perfect place for a date. Delicious and inventive cocktails for a great price. Love the decor and low lighting, makes for a romantic evening. I had the lemon drop, and it was the best one I ve ever had. My partner had the old fashioned and the strawberry fields, both of which he loved. Only downside was that the bartender (Ben?) was super grumpy/not social. He was curt and a little rude. Maybe he was having a bad day. Put some happier campers behind the bar.

I m convinced Paschall (the building s OG proprietor), had a twirly handlebar mustache and walked around in his smoking jacket with a glass of scotch in hand. Just walk in once and you ll get these vibes. It s also Denton s only speakeasy. There s not a secret code or hidden bookshelf door that gets you inside, but they basically don t advertise themselves to outsiders. You just gotta know to look for it. Just look for the unmarked door next to Andys it opens to rickety stairs leading up to the old-world style bar on the second story. While it does come with the expected speakeasy bar prices, they do have a $1 off discount on drinks M-F, 5-7pm on select cocktails if that s the excuse you need to give this place a shot. A few delicious specialty cocktails that are unique we enjoy: Smoking Jacket: $15. Single Pot Irish Whiskey. Luxardo. Sugar. Maple. Orange Bitters. Fleur Du Mal: $10. Gin. Kina Tonic. Grenadine. Lillet Blanc. St. Germain. Fresh Lemon. Grapefruit Juice. And classic cocktails: Espresso Martini: $9 Mojito: $8 Old Fashioned: $8 Plus, you get a great view of the courthouse if you get a seat next to the windows.

Hidden gem on the square in Denton. You have to know where to find the door and head up the exclusive bar over Andys Bar. Very small occupancy and their bartenders are well versed in prohibition era cocktails as well as your new hot shots. If youre up for a solid smoked old fashioned, paper airplane or last word give them a shot and you wont be disappointed.
