I enjoy Yellow Dog, especially karaoke Saturdays. However, yesterday left my fiancé and I in a poor mood because the bartender wrongfully accused my fiancé of being a predator. They pulled him outside and said that there were some concerns for the woman he was with because he put his hands on me and I looked like I was in fear. They didn t consult me. They just pulled him outside. Even after the fact my fiancé corrected them, I didn t even know about the ordeal until I noticed my fiancé hadn t come back inside the bar. We bought art, my friends and I bought canvases to paint, my fiancé is a generous tipper, and the way he was treated was just sad. Anyway, still recommend Yellow Dog because I love the concept, I love the art, and I love karaoke. Just make sure you let the bartenders know in advance that your older fiancé is actually your fiancé and not a predator

Elle and Kara are great. I love coming here for a nightcap. Try the yellow dog shot!! It s so good. It smells good in here. Elle is so sweet. Did I mention you have to stop by? John has made this a great little spot in Denton.

I had the opportunity to be exposed to this bar back in May of this year and I have fallen in love with it ever since. I have had the pleasure to meet both of the owners and they are such wonderful people. I really value the atmosphere they have created. It is a very safe space and inclusive to individuals of any cultural/ethnic background. I have raved about this place to my friends and family as well. It has poetry nights every Tuesday, a song writer s club, as well as an open mic night every Sunday. I have met some really cool people by coming on their event nights. Lastly, I really appreciate the bartendar Elle. She has made my bar experience in the Denton area so memorable. I have gotten fantastic service and drinks from her. She always goes above and beyond to make my experience great. I would recommend this bar and will continue to recommend this space for anyone looking for a safe space to hangout during the weekend.

The service here has actually always been very very bad. It s incredibly slow- even with no like you have to wait 20+ minutes because the manager Kara will be chatting away or on her phone, and when it s busy you might as well not even ordering a drink at all. The bartender Elle also repeatedly has refused to make their more complicated cocktails like the avocado Mary because she doesn t feel like making it . I ve historically made excuses about the bad service and this behavior but no use defending bad service at this point. The owners were really cool but they just let their workers be bullies to people and enable that behavior, along with not banning creepy men from the bar so id avoid.

Great friendly place. Celebrating my birthday with a lot of friends and creatively did a MogPop art party. Jacqui and John are fun, creative artists that own the place. Definitely a place to visit and enjoy the music,drinks and art work.

You can bring in food! They have art you can do there or take home. Lots of alcohol free mocktails and zero wine. Very friendly. Great local beers on tap.

Kara, Jackie, and John are absolutely amazing. I love the atmosphere here, they have decorated the bar beautifully, when you visit ask to be shown the deuce Wayne hilarious painting. They teach art classes and have a diy craft room too! A perfect date night or girls night out. Kara did an amazing job crafting all of the cocktail menu, she even made a nonalcoholic menu too for those who do not/can not drink. Such a wonderful staff. Lauren, Dara, and Elle are excellent bartenders as well, I ve never had a bad time here. 10/10 recommend.

This place is such a great concept! We attended the ghost macrame class but you can also paint anything you want for only $8! They have all the supplies! Not to mention the cocktails are amazing! Highly recommend!

First time visiting today, we took our sketch books but you definitely don t need to bring anything to make some art. They had several affordable kits, many of which I d never seen before. Next time we stop in we ll definitely take advantage!

This is definitely my new favorite bar and place to hang out! Everyone here is so incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is perfect. They have so many fun events but even going on a non-event day is a blast with their $8 paint your own canvas and many, many other crafts (brushes, paints, pencils and everything you could think of is included). Every single one of their cocktails is a 10/10 and I love that they have a giant list of fun and yummy mocktails and n/a shooters that don t make you stand out if you re sober. Can t recommend this place enough! Wheelchair accessibility: I ve been here a couple times in my wheelchair and I was able to get around okay! It s a bit harder to get through on a busy night but the staff was incredibly sweet and accommodating towards me every time I needed help. They also have two giant single stall bathrooms that have plenty of room to get around in.

I love the staff and the owners (including Eagle, the yellow dog!). Everyone is so friendly and they make you feel like you truly matter, instead of just being another patron. The drinks are great, including the mocktails, the artwork is fun to do, and they host a lot of events so theres pretty much always something going on. Kid-friendliness: Its kid-friendly before 9 PM.

Fun bar to go hang out at. They have paint and stuff so you can paint with your friends. Say hi to eagle (the yellow dog) when your there! They also have plenty of cool mocktails for those that dont drink alcohol.

This place is fantastic. My friends and I come here almost every weekend to try new things and take advantage of the painting space. The bartenders are always sweet and easy to talk to, the music is never too loud, and the drinks are great - I like that they have a robust mocktail menu as well. Overall great vibes, and exactly what the square has been needing forever now.

Great place! Wander in, order a drink, buy a canvas and paint your dreams. The staff and owner are very welcoming, the art is beautiful, and the overall atmosphere is chill. Definitely plan this to be part of our weekly plans.

Great place. Went on opening day. The art is beautiful and fun. Drinks are amazing and the staff is really friendly. Loved meeting the owner and Eagle, the dog. We will make this another regular place to visit.
