The name says it all. Service was very slow. Chips and queso was canned nacho cheese when I mentioned this to the waitress she said yes that is basically all it is. Only nice thing about this place is the water view.

They werent busy but we still had to wait a long time for service. The waitress (Kimberly)had a really bad attitude, sweet potato were recycled and over cooked, beer glass was dirty. I asked for another one and she poured the same beer from the dirty glass into another one. Unbelievable! First and last time here.

Great place to hangout with friends after a walk around Unicorn Lake. There s multiple pool tables, video games, tons of big screens so you don t miss out on all the games playing simultaneously! Outside seating is ample. Plenty of parking.

This place is dirrrrrty. The tables and bar where we were sitting had hair, crumbs, and just felt grimy. The salt and pepper tops were disgusting, all the condiments looked gross. Spilled drinks all over the floor. The benches in the front of the restaurant just had tons of dust, debris. Nothing looked clean. Ordered the chicken sandwich, looked nothing like the photo. Wasn t on Texas toast, sad little order of fries which were overdone and not good. Cucumber mule was tasty though. I d avoid this place. I wouldn t be surprised if there aren t a bunch of health code violations and can t imagine what their kitchen looks like. I worked in restaurants for a long time - I ve never seen a place this gross.

The restaurant has a lot of potential. The food was average at best. Our waitress was extremely nice. The patio where we sat was filthy. Dead bugs everywhere. Everything needs a good power washing. Parking: The parking was plentiful, but there was trash all over the place.

The Dive really lived up to the name this past Saturday night. The mens and womens restrooms over flowed and the stench was so awful we left. The water was running out into the dining and bar areas. Super NASTY! The service at THE BAR was good but the food and the service at the event was not good at all. The main bands singer was throwing a temper tantrum outside when we left. I get it. Its not the ideal situation but grow up! Youre there to perform! We have been here before. Go for drinks only at THE BAR. The food is meh and you never know when the toilets are going to overflow! UGH! YUCK!!!! Parking: Parking can get difficult when they have events.

The service was good not complaining about that.! The Dive Bombs were just small just a little jalapeño with cream cheese and maybe shredded with burnt bacon.! Not what they use to be. Then I asked the owner about them and he just lies to my face about it having chicken in it. Honey I m a foodie and there was no chicken. The mushroom Swiss patty melt was just so beyond unflavored I was very disappointed with the food when this was once my favorite place for a quick bite to eat.! Come on y all!

If I could give this place no stars I would. We went in fathers day evening. Place was dead so being busy could not be an excuse. We stood at the front desk waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes when the one person i guess that was working finally came to seat us. She was not friendly. She acted like we were a bother. We finally got seated and had to ask for a kids menu for my 5 year old. The waitress said they have a kids menu but didnt have any printed off so she would have to go do that. She finally brought over a kids menu and after looking over the menu we started to give our order to the waitress. My 5 year old ordered and was told they were out of several kids menu items so she had to settle for something she really didnt want. Then it got to my turn and I ordered the chicken fried streak and after about 5 more minutes she comes back and says they are out of those too. We finally just said for her to cancel our order and we left. Horrible experience for Fathers Day!!!

Went in with fiancee on her recommendation. It did not start well as we had to wait 15-20 minutes b4 getting drinks abd then it was only water served by the hostess. From there, it got 100% better. Food was good. Had great flavor Got chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and Mac & Cheese. Only thing I could say is maybe add salt to the Mac & cheese. We will be back. I recommend.

Dont let the name fool you! This is a new, nice, clean place with lots of big screen TVs, digital golf, shuffleboard, and other games. Excellent food from salads to burgers. Good on tap beer selection as well as a full bar. Nice deck overlooking a pond/lake. Parking: Free, open parking. Seemed to have plenty of spaces for # of tables inside.

Ive been to this location one time. The place seemed a bit rundown. Perhaps a deep clean and fresh paint would go a long way. Out door seating was very cheap. Screw popped out of my chair and was flimsy. Food was decent but pricey. Music selection was poor. Lots of cursing in the music a bit too obnoxious. Not usually of concern but can only handle so many references to b words and n words. Prices were also pretty high. More places like this else where on larger lakes. Probably wont be back.

Walked out. Smelled like a petting zoo inside. Less than amiable greeting at the door. First greeting was hang on a sec second was by the manager... have you been taken care of yet?. Not terrible, but not welcoming. No, Hey how ya doin no Welcome in guys. Just a high volume greeting for a restaurant that wasnt busy. Sat at a wet sticky table with remnanats of the previous guest. No beer menu, just a QR code with no prices for their gigantic beer list. Prices were OUTRAGEOUS for the quality food and after seeing it some of it come out, we were unimpressed. $17 for nachos with NO protein? Come on! Ordered a beer and watched it die in the well for 10 minutes while our server got triple sat and the manager just stood at the host stand flirting with the host. We bounced and headed to another close restaurant. Dont know how this place is staying alive. *Pro tip, dont look at Google for their menu, its way out dated. Their current menu is much more limited and way over priced for the experience they offer.

I came to the dive as it was recommended for a great brunch. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. I came at a great time as it was not as crowded so you could hold a conversation with your friends. Sat at bar and Connor waited on us. One of the best bar tenders I ve encountered in a long time. Been here twice. Both times servers standing around and not one of them came and greeted us at a table. Its a sit where you want I guess cause there wasnt a host. The owner needs to dump some money into this could be awesome lil joint. The food has really gone down hill the past 2 years. The service is always hit or miss. Lots of attitudes in servers. I gave it 1 last chance last week and was very disappointed in the whole experience. Im sorry but that WAS the last chance (had sliders and they were messy and tasteless, my partner had chicken strips and same result, drinks were incorrect etc) On to find more hangouts elsewhere. I would return if/when the food gets better. But for now, not wasting my time. Hope your experiences are better than mine have been the past 2-3 years. Everything needs a revamp!!!

This is a nice local restaurant that has fun events regularly. The dive burger is huge and comes with loaded fries. The potato skins are good, but inconsistent in how they make them. They have happy hour drink specials M-F. Theres a couple of pool tables and vintage video games.

Came into town to celebrate daughter s birthday and wanted to try this place out based off coworkers.They ran out of fries, but wasn t told until after placing order. Had to ask for straws twice. No napkins. Asked for water twice, my daughter ordered a chicken sandwich w/out tomato and asked for a side of ranch. Tomato was on the sandwich and asked for the ranch again. Had to flag server down for the check and she just said the total, had tip automatically set at 25%. I don t mind paying, but get things correct. Tip is based off service, not the bill. There was barely any interaction with this young lady. Definitely won t visit again.

Im an doing an updated review. Since my last review which was very poor a lot has changed for the good. Food is great and quality is very consistent. I love the Dive bombs, and the BLY is awesome, I havent ever had anything I didnt like to be honest. Service has been great in the past few months and were there at least a few times a week. They have Buckhunter which is my favorite game, and they also have 2 pool tables, darts, and a basketball game too. The hold small venue live music, poker nights, careokie nights, and recently have had a tattoo artist giving free (tips or pay what you feel its worth) tattoos which is something Ive never seen before and its kinda cool. Great place and Im super happy that the owner has made these positive changes because now Im a big fan of the place, bartenders have been really great and I have really come to love them and waiters & waitresses are great!

The food is spectacular and during happy hour is when I can afford it as a working class citizen. However, I must give a 3 star review for ethics. The hostess said you can seat yourself pointing directly at the bar because I asked about happy hour. This is by no fault of the bartender, Paige who btw is great! The bartender was helpful. She looked after a woman sitting alone at the bar. I just wish the hostess offered other seating arrangements. Now heres when I thought I was on the episode of John Quinones What Would You Do: Lets address the atmosphere. A man paid for my drink and in return I offered some of the appetizers. I was just being nice. Not wanting to talk about my life. He wouldnt take no as an answer. The bartender had to intervene. He offered to pay for my food and another drink and I said no, because I didnt want to have to owe anything. Probably will be the last time I eat here since you have to dine in or stay put during happy hour. The customer gave me his number and told me to call him. I took down his number and refused his offer to take me out. Its socially unacceptable or taboo. Read the room. In what right does a 20-something year old owe a senior citizen a chance at dating? If you think about the economics of gold digging and opportunity costs, it makes sense.What do you have to offer? I know single men are regulars here but that was extremely uncomfortable. Been going here for years, we used to love this place, but new owners have changed our view. Our last visit was terrible, fish and chips was overcooked, burnt to be precise. We walked in sat down and waited 10 minutes before someone greeted us. We ordered our food had to walk up to the bar for silverware and napkins, because our server was distracted after other people dropped off our food. Then we were told you meal comes with 2 sides, so we ordered sides without being told that the sides are a $3 dollar upcharge for each. Why tell us 2 sides but dont mention that the side you are telling us to order are extra (a plate of lettuce with bacon bits and a slice of tomato a $3 dollar upcharge) . The fish and chips were terrible, and the tartar sauce (which they charged me a dollar for) was watered down and tasted like they dumped sugar in it. When we got our bill my wife and I asked to speak to a manager or the owner. Instead we got one of the servers to come over and talk to us when my wife insisted to speak to the owner about our now $27 dollar fish and chips plates, and the tick tack up charges, he came over with an attitude. As if he didnt see this all happing he was sitting at the next table to us, watched us not get service and walk up to the bar for things our server should have brought to us. He then justifies the up charges and claims its a restaurant not a bar. Well if you are a restaurant or you should probably serve food to you customers and cater to them, instead of charging them Ludacris prices for horrible food and service. We will never go back, too much competition out there, with owners who know how to cater to customers.

Cool little place. Food was not good. It was served on a tray with a paper liner and the room was dark. We ended up eating the paper because it got soggy and mixed with the food. We ate in the entertainment area, wich was fun but very uncomfortable. Chairs/stools were uncomfortable and the tables were unstable and rocky. My friends and I came here for brunch on Sunday a little after 10:00 am. The drinks were very good, the food was pretty good and our server was very friendly. It seemed like our food took a long time to come to the table after we ordered, considering how few people were there. And the playlist was a little odd for the time of day, for example, Ice Cubes You Can Do It (uncensored). But overall, it was a good experience and we enjoyed our time at The Dive! Stopped by after a trip to carmax. If this place wasnt 20-30 minutes away, it would be one of my favorite places to go on the weekend! This is the type of place that you become a regular at because everything from the food to the staff is amazing! I ordered the ranch hand burger with sunny side up egg added. Wife ordered one of the chicken sandwiches, and the kids got mac and cheese and grilled cheese. Everyone loved their food! I wont ever come back. Not because of bad service or bad food. Im pretty sure that one of the guys here make money off of having people park across the street and having their cars towed. Theres very limited parking and they tell you to park across the street. Then, when youve found a spot and youre at the restaurant, he makes this frantic announcement telling us not to park at a certain area. By then, your car would have been towed. Its a racket. If you dont have any parking for your patrons, please be very clear where we can park. Karma is a you know what and if you are making money out of other peoples misfortunes, then I hope it was worth it.

Ordered from this place off Uber. Rancid guacamole, old chicken, food delivered in Kroger bags, and to top it off got food poisoning afterwards. Stay away from this place like it s the plague. Will be putting a report into the health department. Have at least a minuscule amount of pride in your product or do the community a favor and close. There are plenty of great other options in the area.

Came to try this place during happy hour on a Friday. Halfway through meal we were asked to leave patio so they could pressure wash the patio. On a Friday evening... during happy hour... such bad form. Food was mediocre and service was slow, as waitress preferred to chat with coworkers at the bar instead of simply pouring a draft beer.

The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very good. My wife says she would make the drive just for the Schnitzel. We ordered some alcoholic drinks that were great as well. Unfortunately, we were about 30 minutes late for happy hour. Next time we will get there a little earlier and try a few different ones. Our server Kaylin was excellent. She was super friendly and seemed to know the menu very well. We will definitely request her again when we go back, which will be very soon!

We went for the first time just a week or so ago, and it was a great experience. We just got drinks and apps and sat on the patio. Service, food, and drinks were all awesome! We ve lived in Denton for the past 3 years and always loved this little spot. So many draft beers, affordable, etc. but the new ownership who took over in spring 2023 has changed it and the service is not as attentive and the food quality has gone down - the hand cut fries are no longer :( we will still come for a drink, but would not plan on coming hungry here anymore

I was in town for my daughter s UNT orientation and had a few hours to kill and wanted to catch the US Open Golf. The staff were very accommodating and made me feel right at home! Worse food ever. I live down the street and like to go there for cocktails. I have had most of the menu and everything sucks. They forget sides and dipping sauces. The staff smiles are great, but you can easily tell that they hate working there. The owner is a complete jerk...he should go back to Greece where his attitude is normal. I ve never had an appetizer come out before even water was delivered, but that happened here. The server only brought napkins after requested. When asked if they could turn on the fans and if they worked, the server replied with a grimace and said, sometimes they work, but not usually. I feel like your best bet may be sitting at the bar. As someone who hires for the restaurant industry, I wanted to give less stars, but feel this falls on management more than the serving staff. We ve been waiting on our server to come back now for 20 minutes to get check and to go, but at this point, the flies have taken over and we just want to go.

I frequently go to the dive. It s for girls nights, and we have always LOVED the staff. Tim, Kade, Brecken, Kelsey, and the Friday night DJ. Not only are they great funny cool people, but they re real and they got your BACK. LADIES listen!!! We went for what is about the hundredth time and for the first time ever there a reeeeeaaaallll creepy guy was there and WOULD NOT take no for an answer. After being repeatedly told no he STILL pulled up a chair, began verbally abusing himself and us (????), refused to leave. One friend ran inside to get help, I began HOLLERING at him (v loudly and I m typically a very quiet shy little 5 2 girl), and the manager AND the DJ both stepped in and kicked him out and stayed and chatted with us to make sure we were okay. They got your BACK! We all know some places turn a blind eye but not these guys. (Side note: you ever hear a girl SCREAMING and BARKING at a man please know she probably needs your help- side eye looks to the table next to us who heard EVERYTHING and refused to step in). Also the drinks? BOMB. Food? DELICIOUS. You really can t go there and NOT eat, especially the dive bombs and potato skins. The music? With the DJ there it is BUMPIN. Over all vibe 10000/10

Came in for dinner. Was told by the hostess it would be 10-15 minutes for 6 people and a high chair. 30 minutes later I go to the hostess and ask if our table is almost ready. She says it is. She takes me to a tiny table of 4. I told her there was 6 of us. She said sorry this is all we can do . She gets another worker, she comes up to me and says we can t do anything. How in the hell are we supposed to fit 6 people and a high chair at a small? They expected us to make it work. They didn t try to make anything else work. They just said sorry we can t do anything. No one tried to attempt to arrange anything.
