Honestly, dont go to this one. Go to Richardson or Arlington! This was our first time at the Trinity Groves location and it was so MID. Such unfriendly, jaded, uncaring staff...no one seemed to care about anything at this one! The bathrooms were trashed, drinks and cans litereed everywhere, busted machines (especially the 2 player ones). Weve been going to Freeplay for years (Richardson our main base) and have always felt at home with the folks working and how things were managed. DRASTIC difference at this one, so cold and indifferent to everything going on. This is one of the newest locations and it felt completely different than the others. Very disappointed and it was a sad husk of itself, Cidercade was better feeling than this one. Truly hire staff that smile and make you feel welcome to be there... Love you Freeplay.

I was surprised to see that this is right around the corner from my Airbnb. Free play arcade is exactly like what it states to pay one fee to get in and play all the games you want. They have a good variety of Japanese games as well as American games and even some new homemade games. They also have Nintendo switch systems. They were having a tournament for super smash Brothers at the time that I visited. In the back corner of the location. They have a small room with older generation systems. All Nintendo related. I believe I did see a Sega as well. Great time for friends and it looks like they have a full stocked bar. I wasnt really in the mood for drinking that night. However, I did enjoy myself playing the games and the variety of games. Lots of pinball machines as well! Definitely recommend and stop in. I have one locally where I live but I feel that this one had a better variety of everything.

Free play is awesome! My fiancée and I have been looking for a barcade ever since moving and Free Play is the best one we have found so far! The drinks were great, the staff is friendly, and there is a really good selection of games. We found everything from pinball and skeeball to NES consoles, classic box arcade games and even newer options! I wish they had a traditional DDR machine, but I will 100% be back within a week for sure!

Pros: themed beers for needs, including a Sour called Baja Blast?!?! Awesome. All the old arcade games you can play? Amazing. Cons are noisy and rambunctious with the kids on the weekend, and these arcade controls are unresponsive and stick from all the wear and tear. Kids love it though. Worth the low entry fee for some fun.

Great place to enjoy pinball and video games for one low price. You can also enjoy food and drinks as well. Great for friends, dates or going solo. Parking is hard to find on weekends so try to go early or expect to pay 10 dollars for parking. It stays open until 2am so alot of time to enjoy yourself.

I went on Sunday 4/20 and this is great place for games and pinball. I go for the pinball and they have a great selection like every Free Play Arcade does. I rate the games and atmosphere a 5 but just like every Free Play Arcade, but I suggest eat before you get there unless you are eating pizza. I know they brag about DFW best sandwiches per the Dallas Morning News, but I have never had a sandwich at any location that I would order again so I am just either giving up on food there or ordering their pizzas

A fun, flat rate, play all you can arcade in Dallas, TX. I enjoyed the unique games here ranging from old school, new, to Japanese. Theres plenty of racing games. Fun atmosphere due to them playing music overhead. Id like to see more physical games such as air hockey, shuffle board, etc. Its nice that their games differ from those at the Cidercade, but I believe the Cidercade is better due to the larger venue, bar, patio space, and more games.

Free Play is a great place to play nostalgic arcade games. For $12, you get unlimited play on a decent selection of games, from Galaga and Pac-Man to Killer Queen and more niche games. Family friendly before 9 pm, 21+ at night until closing. Good place to bring kids and let out their energy, or come with friends for a fun night out. We came for New Years Eve, which included a mini buffet, midnight confetti and noisemakers, a great view of Reunion Tower fireworks, and a late night cereal and waffle bar. Bartenders are friendly and offer an extensive selection of beer and liquor, plus several non-alcoholic drinks. The food is typical bar food and expensive for what you get. The personal pizzas are tiny compared to the prices. I highly recommend eating before you come. Finding a parking spot can be tough on weekends and when the place is crowded, but you can park nearby for free and walk a short distance to the door. Great retro arcade and a fun addition to the Trinity Groves neighborhood of Dallas.

This was our first day coming here! I d say only reason why I couldn t go with a 5 Star is because we went near the area to see where we could get snacks or food? And person saw us most likely we looked lost but never offered to assist and was the only one in front of the area but didn t looked too busy either. It was a little confusing as we saw a menu but no others to ask how to order etc. Anyway the person at entrance was very nice and politely! The prices for a group of 5 excluding toddler was about $44 but you get unlimited play time and however many times you want to play the games, of course after 9pm they do have rules for older ages. We definitely will come back again! Really enjoyed this place, was pretty clean, didn t smell bad like other places, and every game we came across worked!

Its a nice place. Me and my peoples went for New Years, and the little buffet they had was pretty good. Different types of pizza and finger sandwiches. They had water to drink. The games are all old school. Saga Genesis, Nintendo, and Atari games. Oh, while counting down, they gave all champagne and poppers. Nice touch. At midnight, they had breakfast, which was nice. Waffles and cereal. If you want to play old school games this would be the place to go.

Freeplay is so great, the night I went (Nov 4th) the music was just so loud. It was so loud you couldnt hear the games, and 2 people from our party left. I saw another person wearing ear plugs. I think all of that just speaks for itself. Another issue during my visit was trying to explain a game and how to play it the person next to me she could barely hear me. The music was frankly just to loud. It was like a night club, having to leave 2 stars hurts. I loved the Richardson location and have been there more than 5 times. Will come back if this improves.

I normally go to Free Play in Arlington. This was the first time I was at the location and Dallas. I was frustrated early on because a number of the pinball machines were being worked on. The ones I played at first were setup to make it impossible to play well. A few machines had soft flippers that seemed to stick a little. As I moved on I played a number of machines that were much better and enjoyable. I played a variety of video games that all worked well. Had a pizza there. It was OK.

Amazing Arcade and probably the biggest of all the Free Plays in the metroplex. One very minor complaint is the parking, there are spaces for free parking and they fill quickly. After that theres paid valet parking and a section across the street you have to pay for. Otherwise its an amazing arcade with such a large collection of not just arcade games but skeeball, basketball, and racing game cabinets. And I gotta give credit to the amazing view of the outline of Dallas.

May have already provided a review on Free Play, but this particular one, has the games my 9 and 11 year olds like. Pairs well with Betos chicharons and cheese across the street.

Great spot for games, drinks, and food! Prices are cheap for Dallas, and the Reuben sandwich was so good.

They have a solid amount of two player games and even a few 4+. The beer list is quite extensive and they serve liquor. The food menu looks okay, honestly. I enjoyed the old school mechanical pinball machines(led zeppelin). The wall art is pretty cool. Good location

Warning: dont go on a Saturday night if you want to actually hear anything from the games. The DJ was blasting music so loud it was literally impossible to play any of the music rhythm games, DDR, Guitar Hero, etc. If I was looking to get acoustically pounded by a wall of speakers we would have gone to a club. Ended up leaving after about 1/2h unfortunately. Ill bet its really fun here when the DJ isnt around though.
