Finally a spot in Dallas that hits all the right notes! It was my first time going to this place and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks were very reasonable to say it was in Downtown were everything is usually so expensive. Not only was the food reasonable it was delicious. The crispy Tacos were some of the best I have ever had at any Tex-Mex Restaurant in Dallas. I am glad friends recommended this spot, I had never heard of it but will be back

I wish I remembered the name of our server, since she brought this place up a star for us. Among other things we ordered, the highlight of our meals were the cheeseburger taco and the buffalo tacos. Both were fine, and borderline good - maybe we just arent Tex - Mex people. The prices were a bit steeper than Id like, but, for all intents and purposes, we got what we came for. Shout out to our server. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Location is good, not too far from downtown Dallas.

Not a very great place, like read on google reviews. Place was good, food was just normal. Went for brunch and not great in menu. Serving was okay. Not a lot of food options what we expected. We had to park in tom thumb, walk and then mark the ticket as free Parking . Overall not worth to drive 30 mins for this place.

The food is still decent however they could offer more vegetarian friendly options the new staff needs to be retrained. No utensils, napkins or straw for my drink with my to go order. This is also the third time I ve ordered entrees & received no chips & salsa .which every other restaurant provides this cheapens the return value. Edit: Ordered for the final time today 7/4/2024 after years of patronage. The food & preparation just feels so cheap & lazy now I m not Mexican but I make Mexican food better than this at home clearly everyone is just here for a check very bare minimum crew from the servers to the bartenders & cooks hire better people with passion for cooking & service RIP TacoLingo.

I come here many times, but will stop after my last two visits. The night manager is not a nice person, and a liar as well. We showed up an hour and half before closing to enjoy some drinks and tacos after a Mavericks win. The manger greeted us very disrespectfully, stating there were plumbing problems. I understood the situation except there were people already eating there. He basically lied to not serve us. Id prefer a straight up, Hey guys, its late, the kitchen is cleaning up, were sorry. I did ask him about the other people there and whether there was a plumbing problem for them as well. He could not answer clearly. Have been going here for a few years before Mavs games, even recommended it to people. I will not being going back anymore. Whomever the night manager is, needs some training in proper customer service.

This is one of my favorite spots in Dallas. The customer service is always perfect. The food is fresh and they bring out the food pretty quickly. My favorite is the crispy tacos, the mashed black beans and rice. The free chips and salsa is always great. Also, my favorite drink is the roasted strawberry lemonade. I highly recommend trying this place out!

My husband and I are brunch regulars here! We come almost weekly and completely love it - Mimosas and the Breakfast Burrito is so good! Parking can be a little tricky, but once you figure out which parking garage (Weaver) youre good! And they validate parking up to 4 hrs. With it being so close to Klyde Warren Park, you can easily walk over there as well. Food and drinks are good! Atmosphere is great! And our server Adriana always takes good care of us. Service is always wonderful!

Went for taco Tuesday and the service was great! The food was really flavorful and delicious. I ordered drinks as well and they actually had a nice amount of kick to them and not watered down! I recommend the cheeseburger taco! Parking: There is a parking garage next to the restaurant that you park and in and they validate your parking.

Nice place and excellent service. We were a group of 30 and we had one server dedicated to the group. The food was fine but we paid over $30 per head and almost left hungry. The quality was fine, but nothing special. I wouldnt say it was good value for money. Vegetarian options: We ordered a buffet for a large group. They made separate cheesy enchiladas for the vegetarians in the group with no extra charge. Mediocre food, mostly cheese flavour (was supposed to have onion and other veg in there). Dietary restrictions: They were able confirm whether for had citrus fruits (ie lime), fish and other dietary ingredients. Wheelchair accessibility: We dined up stairs but most of he venue is wheelchair friendly.

Unfair Treatment !!!!!!! As soon as I walked in we stood with no acknowledgment from the staff for 5 minutes. When a manager gabby comes over she states that their busy, to which i reply too busy to be greeted by someone that we have to stand here 5 minutes , she said yes we have other people, I reply we re just as important as other customers she said well we re busy so thats how it goes you don t have to stay. I reply oh you don t want my business because that s not kind or respectful to say.. so how much longer do we have to wait (they only have 8 tables seated) She turns around and speaks to the other manager and then walks away. The other manager Gabriel says well I don t think you should stay as I don t believe we can provide good service for you. As I explain to him again we ve been waiting to be seated.. his reply was well if you re already having a bad experience I don t think this is for you. I reply I live upstairs and come here all the time and today I m being treated this way? ..Two men walk in and say table for 2, and he proceeds to grab menus. I interject you re going to seat them before us while we ve been waiting 10 minutes now? .. his response well if you still want to stay, I reply yes we ve been standing here with no apology and no solution. Finally he says okay we will get you seated and try to provide the best service. I reply thank you. This simply all could ve been avoided by them apologizing the first interaction and seating us right away. Very disappointing to have received this poor service and treatment today especially when I live upstairs and come here regularly.

Every time I go to this restaurant, it s an amazing experience just because of the location and the deals that they have during the week. It s in the middle of uptown with downtown views and the cutest little park in the middle. It s such a vibe! The food is amazing all the way around. From a tortilla soup to a taco plate. The manager Jay is phenomenal. Vegetarian options: Their vegetarian tacos are amazing! Parking: The parking is in a garage that will provide you a ticket or you have to do is get a validated.

Me and my friends went here for brunch and told us that it would be on just one bill which off the start was dumb then they told us we could split however we want and put as many cards as we d want to cover the bill. When it came time to pay the said no one card one bill that s all and on top of that 20% tip automatically. We tried talking to the manager and he told us we could split the bill so we did he gave us a pen to split the bill ourselves when we told him we were ready he said no it s getting split evenly in 5 cards. After this we came to find out that each card was charged an extra 20%. Horrible experience horrible policy we will no longer be going back ever. Change the policy and stop being lazy.

Great first time eating here. The waiters were fast and nice, the food was great overall, and the place is situated in a nice area of town. You can park in the garage above and ride the elevator down to the redtaurant to eat. The place was crowded when I went so expect a wait if you go on the weekend.

National Margarita Day and they re out of Margaritas, shiner and they require all tables to pay on one check. I ve been a patron of this restaurant for a few years now, and they never have it together from the lack of staff and clearly national margarita day. Very very disappointed in the service and experiences this year. I will never be back to this whack spot and I used to recommend to so many people. The bar tender was especially angry when we mentioned closing and going to anotner spot.

We asked to be seated on the patio because we had our dog with us, and they are pet friendly. All of the tables on the patio were set and there were heaters out there. It was about 40 degrees and we asked if they could turn the heaters on. They refused. Loved this place and have been many times, however, we will not be back. So beyond rude.

I wanted to share my extreme disappointment and frustration with the customer service I encountered at your establishment recently. After paying for a pick-up order, I asked if I could enjoy my meal in the restaurant. Shockingly, the manager not only refused but also failed to offer any reasonable alternatives, such as simply plating the food for dine-in. I m not usually one to complain, but seriously, what s up with that? I pay for my food, and suddenly I can t even sit down? Not cool. I m not expecting a red carpet, but some basic customer service would be nice.

For this being our first time there the food & atmosphere was great, but the service was terrible!! Came in with my girlfriend on a Friday evening around 7:45 & was greeted by Ray N. After receiving our water with chips & salsa, we ordered queso which came out promptly. She then spent nearly 20 minutes taking an order at the table next to us that had sat down well after we did. In that time frame we had no chips for our queso & she did not come back to check on us. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting she finally came back over to our table & the queso was cold so I kindly asked for a fresh bowl of queso & chips. We had our order taken & the food came out great but upon receiving the check she tried to charge me for 2 bowls of queso when the first one wasn t edible. She did have it removed but only because I noticed it & brought it to her attention. Overall the food was great, and the restaurant was comfortable & welcoming, but it didn t seem like our server had proper training & knowledge of the menu.

I literally couldn t tell you how many times I ve had bad service where my husband and I are sitting for long periods of time to either pay for our check or order. Before we even took a bite out the delicious food, we were taken away by our wonderful server, Jordan. He was so pleasant, easy to chat with and knowledgeable. I feel customer service is a lost art but this young man nailed it. The chips and queso with brisket is a must. You will not be disappointed. The margaritas were very refreshing and tasty. Me and my family went there on Taco Tuesday to celebrate my birthday. The host originally was going to seat us at a high top table but we asked if we could sit in a booth instead. We were told no problem and were promptly sat. While the food was great, the margarita I had was not to my liking but I drank it anyway. Time for the bills to arrive and we noticed a large group 20% gratuity added onto our checks. With me visiting out of town, I asked my family if this was normal and they told me no. We asked the waiter about this and he informed us that they had been adding the gratuity for over year but me sisters infomred him that they were just there last week and it was not on the bill. The manager came over due to us being upset and we were infomred that since we decided to sit in the booth area, we were charged the gratuity. That is where my frustration came out because the hostess never informed us that if we sat in the booth we would receive the automatic gratuity and no where is it posted in the restaurant or on the menus about large parties. In my opinion, 5 people on a Tuesday night should not be considered a large party. It was a disappointing way to end the night and I will not be returning when I come back into town.

Its okay!!!!! Its not very seasoned!!! No razzle dazzle on the chips. The margaritas was okay but my friends said the Ranch Water was really good. I really like Torchys, Chuys, Federales etc. maybe my tastebuds just like what it likes . Recommended dishes

Absolutely worth coming to! Best Tex-Mex food I have had in a long time. Guacamole was perfect, the street tacos are amazing, the beans are the best I have ever had and the Spanish rice is so good! The tortilla soup was the best for a cold day and amazingly seasoned. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The atmosphere is beautiful warm charming...we had a great time within my party. The 1st waiter didnt get orders correct and then the 2nd waiter was better just had alot of cleaning up to do. Im also not a fan of tips being added in the bill...I believe it shorts the waiter.

We ate there on Enchiladas Wednesday, had a ground beef enchilada and a chicken enchilada. They were superb, so good, also the beans and rice. There guacamole was awesome. Service was great, super personal staff. We highly recommend TacoLingo.

Great food and service. Fun atmosphere (we were there during a Cowboys game, so it was lively). We had the Sweet and Spicy Pollo Tacos (sweet potato straws on a chicken taco? AWESOME!) and the Beef Enchiladas. They have a great twist on the beans. The Mexican Mule was a hit, too. Loved everything.

Very bad experience again sat here over 30 mins without even being acknowledged after host said we would be getting salsa soon. Servers literally looked right past us lol. They stood on the wall by the bar and just looked. Very bad service lately. Overall when server came food was good and comes out fast.

Based on my experience, restaurants with bar in the prime location usually dont really care about good food, only forcus in the drinks. But I think taco lingo is not one of them. Food is good, the service is fast. The portion is quite generous and the price is not ridiculously over priced. My most favorite is their vegetarian quesadilla, and I also love that they serve non alcoholic drinks. Vegetarian options: My favorite is the vegetarian quesadilla Dietary restrictions: the server always offer to customize food with dietary restrictions before taking order. Very nice

Worst service ive EVER had. 50 minutes in and we still don t have our drinks and our server never came back. Didn t even get greeted by our server for 30 minutes. I go to the manager and instead of listening she argues with me. I just went over there and the guys said they were fine. No you asked if we wanted more water and we didn t. We wanted service. You ran away before we could say anything about the alcohol we never got and the food that never came out. Some of the food never came out. Whatever did come out was cold and salty. Of course they have the AUDACITY to charge a gratuity. Never again. Someone needs to contact the BBB.

Our Server took forever to serve us and smelled like smoke even my 6 year old daughter noticed the smell. My rice and beans tasted so dry and the food was just not to my liking . Even after me being dissatisfied with everything I still tipped on an over $140 bill . I ve been to this location plenty of times but last night was probably my last time unfortunately.
