Came with my friend for lunch and we enjoyed our time here. If you can t find parking on the street, there s additional parking at the back of the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice but a little dark once you re seated and ready to eat. Our waitstaff was attentive and we didn t have to wait long for food or drinks. I ordered a guacamole appetizer and frozen strawberry margarita and my friend ordered a spicy margarita. The guacamole was delicious and drinks hit the spot! We both ordered the fajita fiesta (half order) with corn tortillas. The meats (steak, chicken, and shrimp) were cooked perfectly (butter poured over meal) and made for a nice meal. The half order was the perfect size for lunch! We ordered additional rounds of our initials drinks and continued to enjoy the food.

After 30 mins I politely asked him if we can order with him? He said he is busy . After 30 mins of no hello, sorry I m so busy I cannot serve you. Just me waiting for me to read his mind? Me and my two buddies went in for a late lunch, there was hardly anyone there and unfortunately we had very bad service. I wish I could enjoy the food but I couldn t because I didn t have a drink to wash down my food. After we got our food our waiter disappeared for about 15-20 min I had to literally get up from my table and ask one of the waiters to look for my waiter to get us a refill of tea. After that he disappeared again, and again I had to look for an employee to ask for our check. It s a beautiful restaurant and the food was good but for the price of the food you would figure you would get better service. We saw a couple of guys walking around in suits, one was bald but nobody came up to us to ask us how we were. We were very disappointed and we hope the management read this so they can at least talk to their staff. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

Dined at Las Palmas over the weekend. We went early but was already busy which was to be expected. Only waited about 15 minutes for a table. We sat inside at it was very loud, made it hard to hear in our small group of 4. Our waiter was not friendly and we seemed to be a bother to him. He did not want to take the time to listen and seemed like he may have had too many tables. The food was FANTASTIC. We had fajitas, shrimp and lobster enchiladas, crispy cheesy tacos and the snapper. Hoping the next visit the service will be as good as the food.

This is a great place to get tex mex in Dallas. It is very popular so you will almost certainly need a reservation if youre going at a peak hour. The food was delicious, particularly the wagyu fajitas, and the chips + salsa tasted homemade. The atmosphere is very dark, probably the darkest restaurant Ive been to. And for my preferences, this was great. I wouldve liked to see more tequila-based drinks on their cocktail menu (the only option was a spicy marg), especially given they have such an extensive agave list. I did see such drinks on their happy hour menu, but we were not there for happy hour.

I m not one to leave bad reviews, but the service before even getting to the door was terrible, and pricing is very questionable. I Called a few times about how parking worked (since the sign had mentioned parking at rear) and about waiting for my party, no one had answered any of the calls. I had temporarily parked nearby to go and ask, but the valet guy(with shades) kept insisting the back was strictly valet(where I hadn t parked). The conversation quite literally went: where am I allowed to park the do not enter signs mean do NOT park in the back Yes but where am I allowed to park¿ The signs made it clear do not park there Okay but where am I supposed to park (2x) .(yes that happened several times over don t know where he got the assumption I went into that lot) Eventually a nice valet dude jumped in and said parking works nearby down the street (most spots were taken so I had wanted to ask where they knew). I usually understand if someone s had a bad day, but honestly was not a fan of how he talked to me. Anyways, eventually I made the call to ask about the waiting times and valet pricing but the lady who picked up abruptly hung up around the end. The culmination of it all really made me question what it s like here. As it is, overpriced texmex with menu items such as el cheeseburger for $20 is bizarre to me.

Very, very popular place. Our group went on a Thursday night, and without a reservation, it was an hour and a half wait. The ambience is really nice. The margarita was solid, and the queso was good. The ceviche was alright, but not amazing. They have an extensive menu at different price points, so you can order really fancy or something a bit more reasonably price for those who dont want to break the bank. Overall, I can see the appeal of the place.

The finest single location Tex-Mex Restaurant in Dallas. This family owned location is without equal. The huge home is an oasis for dining. The moment you enter the foyer and are welcomed graciously, you know a magnificent experience is to follow. The main dining room is set under a two story ceiling appointed with large wooden beams. The central bar is adjacent and seating surrounding. Each addition room is equally decorated to match. Look for the corner with a tribute to legendary history and noteworthy information. Old Dallas residents like me will recognize the individuals pictured! The atmosphere is a warm lit and elegant environment. The service is superb and nonstop. Every detail is executed by waiter and staff. Don t be surprised if the management and owners stop by your table to confirm all is meeting expectations. The food is delicious. The menu is so varied that you want to order some of everything. I am providing pictures to illustrate some of the outstanding choices we made. The drinks from the bar are artistic and not short on substance. The sopapilla cheesecake is a Must dessert. I cannot recommend this true Tex-Mex restaurant enough. Hope to see you there .

The food was great and our waiter was attentive! The same could not be said for the hostess. They were rude and uninterested. We were not greeted and had to get their attention to be checked in. Whoever the woman is that takes guest to their table was the worst part of the experience. Extremely rude and impatient. I m hard of hearing and couldn t hear her in the extremely loud room they placed us and she did not hide her impatience. I asked her for a high chair, she said ok never came back with it. Told us to sit down multiple times with an attitude. When I made a reservation I specifically asked for a high chair. No one brought us a high chair until I asked our waiter. Thank goodness for our waiter because we were about ready to go. Overall we re glad we stayed because the food was worth trying. Although, this is not the most kid-friendly place. No kids menu, you ll have to ask the waiter for it verbally.

We came here for dinner with a group of four. The restaurant is beautiful - but it is pretty dark inside so if you are visually impaired maybe ask for a table by the window or outside. We ordered the queso, but the chips were under salted and lacked flavor. The chicken fajita was delicious, very tender and probably the best thing on the table. Get the bone marrow butter on top. The service was just okay - nothing rude but also not very welcoming. We were seated in the upstairs room - it can also get very loud in the space. If you make a reservation, they will be pretty strict on the 2 hour table limit - the host was standing nearby as we were wrapping up. Id probably return if I knew the service would be better. Parking: There is free valet parking in a small lot behind the restaurant. No more than 20 cars fit in the back.

I recently visited Las Palmas for the first time after seeing it recommended online and passing by several times. The weather was nice, so I chose to sit on the patio, which was a great experience. I m excited to try the indoor dining next time, as the atmosphere and vibe seemed fantastic. If you can, I highly recommend requesting Alejandro as your server. As a first-timer, he did an excellent job walking me through the menu and made some great recommendations. When I visit a new restaurant, I like to try multiple items to get a good sense of what they have to offer. Las Palmas has solid portion size and Alejandro accommodated me by putting in half orders of a few dishes providing a nice variety and sampling of the menu. Food was great, service top notch, wish I would have have discovered it sooner.

Las Palmas has some great food and drinks, but our experience was mixed. I enjoyed the Happy Hour tamales and martinis, and the chips and queso we shared were delicious. However, sitting inside was a bit challenging as it was very dark and hard to hear conversations. We visited on a Thursday at 4:30 pm, and while initially relaxed, we felt rushed around 5:45 pm as more people started to arrive. Overall, the food and drinks were good, but the ambiance and service could use some improvement.

Went with a large group of people with no reservation and we were accommodated very well though they weren t busy. The hostess and restaurant manager were very sweet and our waiter was excellent. Menu is decent size and delicious. Inside seating is nice, quiet and dimly lit. Outside is a nice patio. Would highly recommend for any time of day. I got the brisket enchiladas and they were excellent. None of the group had any complaints whatsoever so ever.

WOW! Unbelievable food and atmosphere. It had a swanky steakhouse feel but it s Tex-Mex done to perfection. Chips and salsa was on spot and I ordered the white queso which was far from a generic Mexican restaurant queso. It was spicy and had lots of flavor. Not runny either! My lunch entree was the cheese and onion enchiladas with chili con carne on top. It was perfect. The meal came with rice and beans. The rice was the typical Mexican rice but the beans were as if they were charro beans but in refried form. They were delicious and somewhat unique to what is typically offered. The atmosphere is excellent and I can t wait to go back and have a cocktail (MARGARITA). I highly recommend!

I have never had a bad experience at Las Palmas, but today was extraordinary. I brought my mom with me, and she recently fractured her knee cap and has been on crutches for over a week with a long recovery ahead. The Las Palmas team quoted us an hour wait time, but they seated us within 10 minutes (without asking) to accommodate my mother s physical condition. We are so thankful to this entire team for being so considerate of us and providing an amazing experience! The food is great, the margaritas are amazing, and the service is no less than spectacular. This is a MUST any time you re in Dallas, Texas!

We went to Las Palmas to celebrate and had a fantastic time and great food! The service and ambiance here is excellent (once you get a table) and we were very pleased. We ended up with the Birria Brisket Tacos which were very good, and the Quesadilla Al Carbon w/ wagyu which were excellent! The Birria tacos and consume work wonderfully together and have great flavor. Its not the best in the city, but it definitely got high marks from my wife and I who frequently have birria. 8.9/10 Our expectations for the Birria was just a bit higher than for the quesadilla so we were plesantly surprised when that was our favorite dish of the night! So cheesy (but not too cheesy) and savory, and the added poblanos, onion, and pico were fantastic. Some of the best quesadillas Ive had north of the border. 9.7/10 The queso was not anything special though, which was disappointing as we had heard so much about it. As an Austinite, Ill still stick to my Torchys queso.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Las Palmas, a Tex-Mex restaurant that truly stands out for its exceptional atmosphere and delicious food. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the chill, welcoming ambiance. The decor combines traditional Mexican elements with modern touches, creating a cozy yet lively environment perfect for any occasion. The menu offers a wide variety of Tex-Mex favorites, and each dish I tried was a delightful blend of bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The queso and guacamole starters were outstanding, with the perfect balance of creaminess and spice. For the main course, I opted for the fajitas. The fajitas arrived sizzling, accompanied by warm tortillas and a generous array of toppings. Get the melted butter poured on top! Each bite was a testament to the chef s skill in blending traditional and contemporary culinary techniques. The sopapilla cheesecake was delicious! Service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable. The waitstaff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. In addition to the fantastic food and service, Las Palmas boasts an impressive selection of margaritas and other cocktails, perfect for complementing the spicy and savory dishes. The spicy margaritas were refreshing and well-crafted, with just the right amount of kick. Overall, Las Palmas is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Tex-Mex cuisine in a setting that exudes warmth and energy. Whether you re out for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, this restaurant promises a memorable dining experience.

Great place. Went as a relatively large group and sat outside. It was a bit hot that day but would be great if the weather was better. Inside seating ambience looked great, with a candle light lighting. Food was pretty good as well, definitely try their Chile Relleno and the Enchiladas. Vegetarian options: They have a bunch of cheese and mushroom options. I had the Portabello Chile Relleno, would recommend. Parking: Not easy to find parking, streets are pretty narrow as well cause all the street parking spots are usually full. There is a paid lot right across the street, but just keep in mind that the spots are really narrow.

Love that it has valet parking. The place is amazing aesthetic wise, it s a nicer upscale date night or drinks with friends place without being super squilliam. Foodwise, the items on the menu sound appealing, but this is definitely a place I wouldn t recommend for eating, that food was terrible. Our party had nachos al carbon with wagyu steak, shrimp & lobster enchiladas, birria tacos. Everything was BLAND, it s missing that delicious Mexican flavor that greets you with every bite.

They definitely cater to a certain demographic. The food is borderline disrespectful to Tex Mex; no other flavor except for salt on salt, and for the price youre paying its truly inexcusable. Good food should be at the forefront of business and shouldnt come as a sacrifice for the sake of catering to a demographic, which is what this experience felt like. I dont normally write reviews, but this one seemed necessary. There are more authentic Tex-Mex establishments all across Dallas, so do yourself a service and experience great food elsewhere because you will not find it here.
