This was hands down the best Sushi ever! All of the flavors were so unique with the beet flavored crumbles being my fav. All of the fish tasted so fresh and there was different fish on top of the roll compared to what was inside the roll so the flavor profile was quite varied. The miso soup was perfect with large slices of mushroom. Loved everything we ordered! Extremely poor service. We ordered 3 sushis and a wrap but even on a weekday waited for 1.5 hrs and even after that wrap (appetizer) was not ready. We had to leave without eating as our infant was getting cranky. We picked this place to eat the food quickly. They should be mindful and notify in advance if there will be a lot of delay particularly to the families with small kids or infants.

Fresh and delicious sushi. Honestly, I gave five stars, but that was for the food. Service was okay, and people were very friendly or accommodating. I was trying to ask a few questions of our waiter, and he runs off. I wanted for him to come back, and they same thing happened. I know I should not expect much from people nowadays. First time going there, and it was not busy, so I kinda expected him to get off his phone and maybe make a few recommendations. I stopped another waitress and asked her for her recommendations. Which was good, by the way. I still left a tip and was very friendly to our waiter, but there was no real reason to expect better service next time. As our waiter and the hostess were more interested in what was on his phone than helping anyone.

When Im in the area this is usually my go to Sushi place. Very consistent and good quality fish. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. They however seem to have a staffing/service issue lately? I sat at the bar and the bar tender made drink after drink at the well hardly looking up to check on the guest at the bar. There were constantly people standing around the host stand waiting to be sat or for togo food with the host appearing every so often. Anyways, I like this place and the sushi is good. Above average for sure.

I went here yesterday afternoon for the first time in a small group and found it fantastic! Whether it was the shishito peppers, the charred edamame, the crispy rice cakes, the Cherry Bomb, the Cowgirl, the Crunchy L. A., the Crunchy Blue, or the Hot Popper, the menu items we ordered were wonderful, as was the service. The employees were efficient, regularly checked on our table, refilled our drinks, and even double-checked with us to confirm our orders. Overall, its a great location! I just advise consumers to be mindful of spicy food, but there are plenty of mild options, too.

Came here during happy hour on a Saturday and had my fill of sushi! The customer service was a little slow upon arrival as we had to wait for the hostess to appear but our waitress was nice and attentive. I ordered a white peach daiquiri and the peach boba was a nice touch. I ordered miso soup, spicy tekka, crunchy LA roll, and sake nigiri (2 pieces). I enjoyed my meal here and look forward to returning to try out other items.

I have a nuts and sesame allergy and i let the waiter know before ordering. Me and my friend got the Hotel Cali, Crunchy LA and Hot Pepper Initially i got the Hotel Cali with sesame seeds on top (mustve been a mistake on their end) Two waiters and i think the manager came to apologize The food was 10/10 however i thought there was a bit too much cream cheese. Definitely can tell there s a new sushi chef in town!! The sushi quality is back to those Blue standards you know. We always sit at the bar (ask for Gennesis or Kevin!) and the service is top notch. Outstanding sushi! My favorite sushi is a Tuna Tower and this restaurant does not disappoint. My husband ordered five dishes=$81 and the best one I loved to eat was the Tuna Tower. Melt in your mouth tuna, sushi rice with crab meat, tiny slices of avocado, wasabi sprouts (not hot; in fact not at all spicy), and these tiny crunchy seed like jewels. I d order this dish time and time again. Sorry that I didn t take any pictures. I was too excited.

I have never had inappetence while eating sushi before, but I just could not finish was we ordered. From the moment we sat down, Melissa s attentiveness stood out. She consistently checked in on us throughout the evening, ensuring we had everything we needed and recommending some truly delicious rolls. The sushi itself was great, fresh, and flavorful, making for a delightful meal. Towards the end of our dinner, there was a slight hiccup as the sushi bar took longer than expected with our final order. Melissa, however, handled the situation with grace and professionalism. She kept us informed about the delay and was very apologetic. To our surprise and delight, she even comped our last order as a gesture of goodwill. What Melissa didn t know was that it was my birthday, and her positive attitude and exceptional service really saved the day. This place is a gem. Stopped in on a Tuesday evening and they had a special going on vegan rolls so we tried a bunch. The wait staff took very good care of us Melissa is wonderful she made sure we tried all her favorites. Food is delicious. We were often saying Wow each time we tried something different. Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. They pay attention to the tiniest of details. For example, theres a slice of cucumber in a glass of water. Everything is done with intention. The staff check in on you, the chiefs check in on you. Everyone is focused on us having a great dining experience. At least that was our experience, we arrived later in the evening 8:30ish. Sat outside and it was lovely. Not sure what its like during peak hours. Im guessing the joint should be jumping.

Very cool place for some really good sushi. The decor is spot on. The Sushi chefs are quick and even though the presentation can be a little rushed. The taste is what matters. We have been coming to Blue for years now. When they first opened up in Fort Worth and then as they have opened up the other locations in Dallas. This is the closest location to us and we drive over an hour to come eat here. Needless to say for really good food it s worth it but the service is starting to go down hill recently. We came about 2 weeks ago and our server ignored us after our initial order because he got a big top sat in his section. The manager and other servers were filling our drinks and taking orders for us because he was oblivious to our table. Today we came in and our server was doing so well at the beginning and then half way through the meal she started helping the bartender out and BAM just like that she was gone. We had to get another server to get us to go boxes and our to go order and refills on water. I was really happy with how it started too. Long story short if the service would improve it would make it a 5 star place again. Maybe we will give uptown location a visit and see if the service is better over there. Parking: Free Parking on the street and in the parking garage located behind the restaurant.

Happy to check this one off my list, but won t be back. Our first few minutes there this past Saturday was a good indicator of how the rest of the night would go - it took awhile to be greeted, as no one was at the host area. There were several other employees walking around who noticed us, but it seemed very much not my job, not my problem. Once seated, our waitress was pleasant enough, however our appetizer came out before our drinks did. When I asked about them, she hurried off to the bar to grab them, where it was a bit obvious they had been sitting there for some time. Needless to say, they were watered down. The food was okay - not bad but there s better elsewhere. We got the Dipping Crab (very small plate), Hawaiian Roll, and Flamingo Lingo. A server dropped off someone else s Cloud Nine roll and I had to flag her back down to let her know it wasn t ours. So yeah, very underwhelming experience.

What started as a lovely evening quickly turned tragic when the edamame hit the table. Our friend was casually eating the edamame when she began coughing which quickly turned into not being able to breathe. A lady from the table beside us came over and performed the Heimlich and it was only then that the block of salt came out of her throat and landed on the table. We tried to turn the night around even though our friend could no longer eat. It wasn t until later that the bill came out and Blue Sushi Sake Grill tried to charge her for the edamame that she almost died from eating that things went from bad to worse. After asking why she was being charged for the edamame the one server said oh, I thought they took that off. He then went back and was very angry speaking to another server. Then a lady came out and tried to charge for the edamame. To which we again asked why. She then asked if we d like for her to get the manager. Then Nick, the manager, came out. He asked what the problem was. He asked if our friend who choked was eating the food. He then shared that they stand by their food. He then cleared our plates. We then asked the hostess if someone was going to come and check us out. Then Nick the manager came back and guilt tripped our friend and said that he would pay for his meal out of his own pocket. This whole situation was ridiculous and unnecessary.

Been here several times for vegan sushi, and the food and drinks are amazing! I do have to say that every time I have been it seems like the servers are overwhelmed. Usually takes a while to get refills, and not the fastest kitchen either. However, the comfort of sitting in this restaurant greatly makes up for it. Paper thick Tuna tataki served with 5 slices at $16, what the heck!!! Everything I got tasted good once you finally got it. Uninformed waitstaff. Very long wait for food - had to ask more than once. Had to ask manager to help. All dishes very expensive for what was delivered. The come hungry leave hungry unless you are trying to loose weight by eating less. Lastly come with a jacket , inside is pretty cold. Seating outside was a bit warmer but still cold and only 1 patio heater which was off for all the 20+ tables there is outside. Decided to go to lunch with my daughter. Craving sushi, didn t want to spend too much, so thought okay bento box and some tin/shrimp sushi. I ve had BlueSushi Sake few times before, food is good, but had the worst experience today sadly. Waitress was short blonde pixie cut female. Never gave me name. At this point I m a little speechless, don t want to send back again due to embarrassment, also with unpredictable toddler. I was charged full price, paid, tipped, left unsatisfied. Friendly and helpful waiter service. Sushis are amazing: visually stunning and very tasty. However I do experienced some miscommunication in the kitchen. The starter (or a part of it) arrived later and I had to ask about it. Hey, dont let this anomaly overwhelm you from visiting this place. The food is awesome just you might have to wait a bit longer to get your food in the desired order.

I wish that the food can make up for How terrible the service is. The atmosphere isn t terrible. It has a pretty cool aesthetic, It is very loud. My biggest complaint would have to be attitudes and care from the employees. I ve been here many times, and normally overlook the little things but this last interaction just has me livid. Not only have I had to wait ridiculous amounts of times to receive my checks from the waitresses, but this last time I didn t even have to come in to be annoyed. They have me wait on hold hung up on me and then I called back and put me on hold again just to tell me that they don t take pick up orders in the last 30 minutes whenever it would ve been before the last 30 minutes if they would ve put me on hold and hung up on me the first time I called before the last 30 minutes, but by the time they actually gave me the chance the second time it was obviously to wait and giving me attitude when I tried to explain to her how I was on the phone and was transferred over apparently and then hung up on. So, instead of taking my order, they want me to Go in there and place my order there which I could do but I just feel like that that s way more inconsiderate to go in and order the last 10 minutes versus me trying to place my order almost 45 minutes before they even close over the phone. Ridiculous

This restaurant hasnt ever missed on quality in the 20+ times Ive visited in the past 3 years. Tonight the hostesses went above and beyond to accommodate seating arrangements for my hearing disability, even though it was a busy Friday night. Always appreciate the service and innovative menu here! Would recommend to anyone in Dallas who wants an unforgettable sushi roll. Try the Spicy Gringo if you like cilantro and spice!!

The sushi and apps are always good! I love the options here, which is nice to have. The service last night, wasnt great. Usually it is nice service! Not last night, I have no idea what was going on with the server, but he didnt care about letting us know when the kitchen closes. My friend and I were wanting more food, but we decided go elsewhere due to service lack. Very unprofessional! He shouldve let the customers know when the kitchen closes and he had other tables to where Im sure they were feeling the same way about food and drinks. He was just trying leave for the night and get out. He was very unprofessional and rude... Especially for not giving my friend soup when she asked for it several times. Hopefully it be better service next time!

Walked in and placed an order to go. 2 rolls, mochi ice cream, and edamame ($48). After the hostess gave me my change, she came back and told me she accidentally gave me an extra dollar and she needed it back. I then stood for 40 minutes at the front of the restaurant (there s no space to wait comfortably), and when my food was brought out, they apologize that it took so long and told me that there would be an extra edamame in my bag. I drove all the way home and unboxed my order to find the extra edamame and the mochi ice cream was missing. I called back and they told me I could come back and get it anytime tonight and it would be waiting. I then got another call back to verify that the item ordered was mochi, and told it would be waiting for me when I got there. I made the drive back, only for the hostess to tell me that they actually don t have mochi at all, just regular ice cream and she hopes that s okay.. Such a bad/disappointing overall experience. The rolls were good.

Update: 12/30/23 ordered 100$ worth of sushi to go again. They did not pack the cowgirl roll sauce! Still no sauce!! We stopped coming here a year ago because they always forgot our sauces or something else in our to go order. The rolls were inconsistent also in size. We decided to come back...and they still forgot our sauces. We even asked specifically if they have the sauces in the bag..and they said yes. The tuna ahi tower came with no sauces. Not worth it to eat it dry for $15.

Amazing sushi! Ive been to both this one and the one in Ft.Worth. Both if them were great. The staff is very friendly and the food is prompt. My favorite place for Sushi in DFW so far. Parking: There are parking spots but for dinner you youll probably need to park a little way away so plan on that.

My boyfriend and I went here for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! They had a large selection of sushi to choose from. We got 4 different rolls and our favorite was the everything salmon. It was soooo yummy! The downside was that it only comes as a 2 piece and it is priced about the same as an 8 piece but it is definitely worth it! I got the white peach daiquiri and it was also very delicious! The restaurant is pretty large and was not too busy while we were there. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back!

This is my choice of sushi for a regular basis but also for special occasions. I celebrated my birthday here with some friends and we had a fantastic time and had great sushi! The service was exceptional, the food obviously incredible. They were really accommodating for us, I had a gelato cake that they kept in their freezer for us while we ate and then brought it out perfectly out of the box along with silverware and plates even though we insisted we take it home because they were already closed by the time we finished dinner they happily served us the cake regardless of the time. As well as transfer us outside since I accidentally forgot to leave my dog at home. They were really nice about it as far as I could tell. Still my mistake but they were kind and attentive and I m always back

If you need a light but filling lunch, this is the place to go! I ordered ahi tuna nigiri and the tataki maki roll with a cold sweet plum sake. Everything was very delicious, and the service was even better. Thanks to Zane who made some excellent suggestions and made sure we were happy with our choices. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sushi on the back of the menu is clearly marked with green dots and in their own section.

Tweeze provided excellent service here! The food came out quickly and as a sushi critic I can say the hot spicy rolls are top shelf as is the atmosphere and diligence of the management and servers. Negative reviews=people attempting theft of service to get complimentary meals. Ignore and try this you won t regret it.

Our experience at Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Preston Hollow Village was nothing short of exceptional! As lovers of vegan options, we were thrilled with the variety and taste of the dishes. The Vegan Black Dragon was a delightful surprise, while the Shiitake to me and Vegan Hot Popper were both tantalizingly delicious. But the standout for us was the White Peach Tea it was refreshingly amazing! And lets not forget the Crispy Brussel Sprouts; they were a perfect blend of crunch and flavor.
