I live in the village but I never came here in the year I lived here until now. I m so glad I did because their vegetarian burger and cauliflower wings are AMAZING! Such a good deal on the wings during happy hour too. My husband and I love coming here can t believe we waited so long to try. The staff are so nice too and attentive. Their impossible patty is cooked in a way I ve never had anywhere else. Their over under sauce on the burger is so delicious too. The fries are amazing too. Their pizzas are solid as well! I already can t wait to go back!

Ummm, ok.... totally not expecting a sports bar to dish out NY level pizza. That crust was insane. Just moved back to Dallas after spending 7 years in Manhattan. Again, Im not saying its the best but when the best NY style pizza Ive tasted is at chuck e cheese, this place is surprisingly good.

Located in an oasis of a complex, Over Under Sports Bar is sure to knock your socks off in the aesthetic class they provide.Through their support of Dallas sports and their wildly fun trivia night, this place is sure to get you in a better mood than when you walked in. But what it has in atmosphere is brutally contrasted by average food and rather impersonable service. Soggy nachos and uncared for hot dog buns may await your arrival. My glass remains half full though, as the cunning sports vibe permeates throughout the establishment.

The ambiance is really nice, for a first tume visit...the MAJOR problem that I had was my server Paige A. She never did great us nor ask us about our drink of choice. It took a whole other server to assist us. Paige A. Stayed at 2 tables and walked by us every time without asking us if we needed anything or even a smile. This event took place during the Texas vs Oklahoma Game; we had to leave to go to another venue Downtown Dallas to see the 2nd half. I reach out to my friends that was going to meet us, to tell them not to come and to NEVER come to this establishment. Its sad to drive of saying that dog gone Paige.

Amanda is a terrible waitress. Had to ask for a lemonade 3 times, she said it was a fountain drink then at the end told us we had to pay for refills. Asked her for a piece of bread for my son who is on the spectrum and she disappeared into the kitchen and didnt come back. When I flagged her down 5 minutes later she finally said that she had put in an order for it. Like COMMUNICATE with your table! The cherry on top was asking for our bill, she stood at the table and started to bring it up on the handheld, then said Ill be back and walked away to take another tables food order!! Like I guess theyre more important cause they got alcohol... or maybe shes just racist because my husband is not white, I dont know. All I know is Ive been a server for years and she is not cut out for this. Also way too expensive for small portions, and the spicy mustard on the Cubano just tastes like horseradish. I have a huge aversion to that and nearly lost the food I had eaten already onto the table.

They had good specials during local sports games! The surrounding area is pretty nice! The actual restaurant area is very clean, new and with plenty of tvs. Parking is easiest in the garage. 3 bucks for 1-3 hours parking. I didn t pay because I was there under an hour. The hostess was super nice and allowed us to sit wherever we wanted. Server was just as nice and attentive. The food is average. Pretzel was the best item. Wings and burger were ok. Plenty of beers and a good drink menu.

So sad! They raised the price of their appetizer nachos from $8 for a tray of chips with nacho toppings to $18. Ridiculous! Also they changed the beef that they put on top of the nachos. It s worse quality and tiny pieces that could be entirely fatty (too tiny to tell). On top of that, service is always spread thin and hard to flag down. We were fine when prices were cheaper but their new menu is price gauging and extremely disappointing. You can t tell me that market value of nachos went up that much. Additionally, their Dallas stars/ mavs/ astros game day deals are increasing in price. Frustrating how the prices on the table advertisement are different than what s on the menu they hand you. Also huge price discrepancies on the online version of the menu vs the in person one. I wish it were easier to hear in there during Trivia night. I can t even hear myself speak. I m overall disappointed in how they re closing the food hall and now only offer this place with prices that are doubling.

I was owed $9.17 in change, and they gave me $9. I had to ask for my reciept to make sure my change was $9. I then asked for my 17 cents. After three people and four registers they didnt have enough cash on hand to give me my change. Stating that they choose to round up change or round down change. But they are stealng my 17 cents when they round down. It is my 17 cents, and I still want it back. And this is not the first time a Village bar has done this to me. I ask about every fifth time for my receipt and about everytime I have to ask for my appropriate change.

Talk about a great happy hour spot!! We love coming here for the $3 beer can special, $6 pretzels and $6 wings. Make sure you ask what s on special since they rotate the beer cans frequently. This visit we grabbed the draft of the day special (voodoo ranger ipa) which is $4. You won t find a better deal on the pretzels, period! They re always well done and the queso is amazing! We always ask for double queso since the mustard sauce is a little weird. As for the wings, our favorite sauces are buffalo and gochujang! The sports restaurant also has a cool rooftop area which is perfect to hang out with your dog and friends while watching the game. The downsides I d say are the small tvs and a bit excessive pricing on the food menu (not happy hour). A really simple burger and fries costs $17 before tax, yikes! Overall it s a fun place to hang out and also take advantage of the surrounding area of the Village. We recommend checking this place out!

Short review: Mediocre food, no differentiation from any other sports bar in Dallas, unnecessary restaurant as part of an overall larger redevelopment project. Details below. If this were a review of a generic, standalone sports bar located anywhere else in Dallas, this would be a 3 star review. I didnt perceive anything special about it. The food itself is adequate. Sports bars are not known for food. The food itself is basic pub fare/bar grub. Ive had better and Ive had worse sports bar food. I dont dine in sports bars all that much as Im not much of a sports fan as I prefer to play sports than watch them. This is a one star review because the restaurant is unnecessary. Undistinguished pub fare in the middle of a bunch of apartments is not what I perceive as a recipe for success for a restaurant. Dallas is a competitive restaurant market and theres not much of an incentive to come here. I dont perceive how this restaurant would attract anyone who doesnt live in The Village to come here and Village residents alone are not sufficient to support the place. To use a sports analogy, I perceive this place as a swing and a miss. EDIT: To owners response -- Over Under is a strikeout. It was a totally unnecessary concept. Theres no way to positive spin it. Its not a win.

Ill try again but it was interesting sitting at the bar. Bartender flashing her belly button ring to the man with the icy watch. Didnt get much service from her after she fell in love. Enter the... manager? Big guy with a mic in his ear talking constantly. Between sentences to the headset he could take orders, but put no pause between sentences so i assumed he was talking to others if i was ever addressed. After 30 mins of being confused on how to time ordering a refill between his messages i just went next door. I could have waited 2 mins for the right timing, but my ADHD told me to play on my phone after 10 seconds of idle time PS: The tvs you can see have giant lights behind them so you cant watch anything easily.

While I myself chose to stick to adult beverages, my comrade opted for the meatball sub. When I tell you the sight of this sub alone brought 6 grown men to their knees, I am not exaggerating. We vowed to return with the sole purpose of claiming this mythical sub. Yet in just a short weeks time, the sub was removed from the menu. Without this holy hoagie on the menu I cannot go above 3 stars. Bring it back and bring it back now.

When we walked in to OverUnder I asked for a highchair. The host stated they didn t have any so we left and went to the VCC instead. I have emailed, sent a message via the website, sent messages on social media and even commented on social asking if they have acquired any high chairs. I still haven t received a single response from any of those. **this event happened a few months ago** so I m trying this option to see if I can get anyones attention to the matter. WARNING: READ BEFORE COMING. My family and I went to eat/drink here and the bartender was unbelievably rude. When I told her I had a large order she glared at me. I could hardly get a sentence out without her mocking me, hurrying me, or interrupting me. She said tell me what you want! and was so snappy with me I gave her the list on my phone to which she rolled her eyes to. When she saw ribs on the menu she said were out! and then fumed when I ordered something else. She asked me where my card is and I couldnt hear her and asked her to repeat and she shouted I NEED A CARD TO OPEN THE TAB!. Everyone around me in the bar was staring at this point. When I told her I wanted a particular beer she said we are out and I was looking at the beer and she shouted tell me what you want so I can pour your beer!. When I asked her for waters twice she told me to get them in the back and I told her twice they are out and she glared and walked away. When she brought our food out she set it all at the end of the table and said the rest isnt ready and walked away and we didn t see her the rest of the night. My sister works in the service industry and said that is the rudest encounter she has experienced. Besides that, the food here is simply not good and they were out of several items and drinks.

Good food, nice atmosphere. However, I ordered the chicken wings at the bar (you can only order at the bar), and the bartender decided to keep my tab open. I forgot to close my tab at the end of the night and an $8 chicken wings meal turned into $24.00 on my credit card bill the next day! No joke. I disputed it with my credit card, but MAN, I have no idea how the staff felt justified in doing that...

Wasnt able to see the top bar cause it was pretty cold when I went but the bottom bar had an amazing selection of spirits and craft beer. The food was the big reason I gave it a 4 stars as well as the service. Saving the last start for when I see the top section

Pros: -Hispanic bartender at night is great -food was surprisingly good, but we also had the following: Mac & Cheese, Cuban Sandwich, Fries, Mash Potatoes, Flatbread we re all gr. -Mix drinks are good, seem to have lots of options -Lots of space, pretty big -Lots of TVs -Small gaming area -Available for private events Cons: -Buffalo wings can improve -Walking servers need help or more training/staying on top of tables -Quality of streams do suffer at times -Lots of space underutilized or awkwardly positioned (no TV viewing) -Games are already breaking down, cheap, and this place is somewhat new -Not all food is hand made/fresh -Parking was a challenge -Needs More heat lamps (winter) and or fans (for summer)

We were told that of the like 50 televisions in the sports bar not a single one could be used to view the bachelor. That they only play sports, because it s a sports bar despite them playing entertainment weekly right before telling us that the bachelor could not be played. The woman who told us that was extremely demeaning. This is a sports bar, we only play sports the bachelor is not a sport there were a ton of nicer ways to state this but her demeanor was a choice especially when one television was literally on the channel that would have become the bachelor at 7pm. Three televisions were not even being used. This is coming from a Georgia alumni on the night of the national championship. We came to a sports bar so we could watch both at the same time a luxury only afforded by a venue with multiple televisions in one place. We ended up leaving after the first quarter instead of staying and spending more throughout the whole game because we had such a bad taste from the experience. She lost a party of customers and we will not be returning. The food was also mediocre at best.

The food, atmosphere and some of the service was great. I had a bartender look over me to service two other customers that arrived to the bar after me. He never really acknowledged the fact that I was standing at the bar. He looked at me and then went to the other customers. This made my entire experience change in a negative way.

My wife and I have been excited to try out this new local sports grill and had a awesome experience! We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat upstairs on the open patio with food at the bar service. The food was surprisingly quality thorough out and the had a nice selection of adult beverages. The wait time was minimal with a good amount customers watching college football on a array of televisions. The bartenders were friendly and prompt. Id recommend this location for the outdoor roft top & enjoyable experience.

Gotta be the best location that the VCC has when it comes to customer service. They have games inside too and fire tables. LITERALLY, they have a fire going on the table. The wings could be less hard but this place was great to me and my girl.

Got the Over Under burger, it was OK nothing spectacular, upper level outdoor layout has a bizarre layout with small TVs and despite everyone here to watch Cowboys game one of the larger TVs they have it set on bowling?!? Everyone complained and we were told that TV is set on one channel and cannot be changed. This is a sports bar you need more tvs and better seating arrangements. Underwhelming experience.

The bartenders/waiters upstairs dont interact with you to get your food ordered. The TVs keep messing up when your watching a game. At that point it was better to go to the country club where you had neither problem. Youd expect this sports bar to have more items on its menu.

Decided to try OverUnder for dinner tonight. Went to the rooftop and waited for a waiter to interact with us as they were doing with the other tables. Unfortunately, we sat there for 10-15 minutes without anyone saying a word to us or at least saying I ll be with you give me a few minutes. Was not busy as I thought they would be (which made even less sense for no one to ask us would we like to order anything or even acknowledge us). As a local villager, this experience was disheartening. We decided to finally leave and eat elsewhere.

Went on opening day hoping it wouldn t be busy because it was raining pretty hard, I was right, there were maybe 10 people there. I got the Pretzel as an appetizer, only to find out there were two decent sized pretzels. Both were your typical concession stand pretzels which I consider to be low quality. Got the chili dog, gotta say it was pretty good, but it came on a very thin wood paddle which isn t ideal when eating a messy hotdog, I can only imagine it s a worse situation with the Chicago dog on their menu. Wings were nothing special, depending on who you ask slightly undercooked, very average Buffalo sauce. Seeing that I wasn t super impressed by anything I figured I give them one more chance to impress with dessert. I got the ice cream sandwich thinking it would be of similar quality to the village country club desserts, yet again disappointed. What came out was a rock solid ice cream sandwich that was dipped in chocolate, it looked like it could very well have been a store bought item. Overall, I would say my experience was nothing special. I ll be coming back eventually to try out some of the other stuff on the menu. Also when I was sitting at the bar I caught the stench of a dirty drain. I know the place is new so they may or may not be bleaching their drains, we ve done that at every bar I ve ever worked at.
