I had my court day on 03/08/23. The judge left the case . They said that they will set up another day for the case. After that the judge transfer my case to Garland/TX. I had that case transfer back to Mesquite talking with The Garland court. Until now 06/24 nothing happen. Maybe I have to start over and file again.

Birth Certificates are $23.03 You need a valid U.S ID Time to pick up 8am-11am & 1pm-3pm Between those times, theres court in session. Customer Service was good

Every time Ive had a case here, Eviction court has started 30 mins late. 50 people are assigned the same time appointment time, so you have to sit shoulder to shoulder in the courtroom and people have to wait up to 3 hours for their case to be heard. Ironically, despite the lack of social distancing, you are required to wear a mask in court. If they were concerned at all about COVID, (or the value of peoples time) they would schedule different timeslots, and hear cases in batches. With the AC at 65 degrees, I was shivering by 1pm.

Me and my husband love Judge Whitfield she is the best. She performed our wedding ceremony today and made our day so special. She is so sweet and kind. We highly recommend anyone getting married to give her a try.

Let me say, first of all, although I did not get the outcome that I expected of with my case. I was spoken to and treated with the utmost respect as a person, and thats all anyone can really ask for. I went in there representing myself as I always have done in all of my cases, but this was the first time that I felt respected equally as a human being and not someone trying to practice Law. I believe that if Judge Nash didnt mess up my case, then I would have won it all of the way instead of just halfway. I will Appeal it again.

With many nice features here that make it a friendly environment, its quickly apparent theres an old town feel to this place. However the Chief Court Clerk is a pit bull who uses her power to get her issues out. She literally snatched the phone from which secretary answered and would yell and scream at me. She is allotted quite a lot of power I. Her position but she was not concerned with the actual law and was bound and determined that I would not have evidence printed out and she, who obviously has the hots for the Plaintiff made a mockery out of me when she was confronted with the fact that she did not glow proper procedure( or the law) in the appeal process. So even though I was granted inability to pay she refused to send my appeal because I couldnt get the 1500 bond which is the next months rent to them....well guess what ? That contract ended so my new rent does not go to that person. So the guy who used to be the manager said well if you give me 3000 now January 2024 I wont file a writ . Now the court order was restitution I. Be the amount of the December rent that we paid! But we said fine 1500 to you and 3990 to the new manager ? Or 1500 to the new and 1500 for the court each month? The Bailiff is amazing. Very professional aware and has a great sense of humor.

It was my first time ever in a court, especially eviction. Judge Whittfied did not give me the opportunity to prove that I made payment arrangements and paid, eventhough it was partial and I paid the remaining. Favor was automatically given to the landlord and on the papers served to me, the amount was different than what I was judged for. The landlord charged for back rent and made it look like I paid nothing but I was judged for the back rent and future rent. I am glad to leave Texas and go back to my hometown. My best interest Was not taken to heart.

A month ago the judge Katina Whitfield was in charge of getting married and I recommend her service 100%. She gave us the possibility to have the ceremony in English and Spanish. She was very kind at all times; I thank her for her patience because at the end of the ceremony she allowed us to have a small photo session inside the court. At the end, she gave us a small, very significant present that will forever remind us of that special day.

Great experience except I was not able to get my spouses birth certificate without our marriage license. If that information would have been told to me or listed on the site , i would have brought it. The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting at least one of mine birth certificates done. Cash only !!! Exact cash

Don t like a person to who is telling me I m negative when I ve always been told no and always dug myself out a whole judge Katrina I never want to look at again because the I was lied on and disrespected I will never ever deal no one in Dallas county or mesquite county EVER AGAIN

If you want to get married here do it. It was such a great and super fast experience! The judge is so nice and sweet she did our ceremony in spanish! Overall all staff was such a great help and so nice

I went in the office to pick up a birth certificate and the whole personnel is very rude and very lazy as well.The staff has absolutely terrible costumer service. The wait has to be like several hours. Very unfriendly staff. Not well organized.

Judge Katrina Whitfield performed my marriage ceremony today and she was AMAZING. Her thoughtfulness in preparing for our ceremony really went above and beyond. I absolutely would recommend her as an officiant for anyone!

Got married here, the front staff was friendly and helpful. Judge Katina Whitfield was professional and made us feel welcomed as we were nervous about our ceremony. Her bi lingual abilities are great also.We couldnt have had anyone better to marry us , completely loved our ceremony. Thank you again Judge Whitfield.

This place is poorly managed. When you walk in there is no clear sign directing you to where to go or what the process for getting help is. There s a line, a number machine, and apparently a sign-in sheet on the counter. After waiting for 10 minutes I heard the lady behind the counter tell someone else they needed to sign in. When I mentioned I had been waiting and wasn t aware of the signing in process (BECAUSE THERE IS NO SIGN), she pointed to the sign in sheet. Which is a sign in sheet NOT a sign. Nope, that does not help direct people when you re busy and they ve never been here before. There should be assign that says Sign In or Take A Number or Wait In Line to be helped. Also they only take cash. It s almost 2020!!! Take cards or again put up a sign that is visible and says CASH ONLY .

One clerk seems as if she dreeded being at work, did wont to be asked any questions,gave vibe as if she didnt want to hear you, but expected you to give her your full attention. (My thoughts: If you dont like your job, find one you do like)

Poor customer service. Shirley will watch you walk in and then put her head down as if you do not exist. Then when she does acknowledge that you need a service that this office is providing the public she is rude and as if you are inconveniencing her. We grab a number with no acknowledgment our number is 50 but the now serving number is 20 mind you we got here when they opened. What is the purpose of this system as it is obviously not being utilized. Just amazing how poor directed the county employees are and nonchalant they are to the public needs. Maybe Shirley was having a bad day?! She s been with the county for a while so she must be doing something right. Customer service isn t one of them.

I had to pay off a few tickets, no fun , But the staff was allays friendly and prompt with me. I could be in and out in a matter of 10 min. Fast forward 5 years to when I got my marriage licences and the Staff remembered me! Gave me a warm feeling.

judge bill is a joke. his court clerk, Dwayne Horner, was indicted by the federal government for robo-calls. bill is a tea party/conservative retard who thinks his office allows him to voice his bigotry without consequence. lets be sure to vote him out next election.

The staff in the front was very helpful and friendly but the judge is objectionable. I set up a date and time with the judge to marry my husband and I, but he showed up an hour late! I actually did witness him drive up to the courthouse just minutes before he opened the door and shouts to us that he has been waiting for us.(Still wonders why he would finally come and open the door an hour late after we have been knocking on every door in the building for an hour...) By the time he arrived I was very upset and crying, and a bride locked out of her own wedding(even a little courthouse wedding), isnt a pretty picture, my makeup was ruined and so was my day! My husband and I decided we wouldnt let him marry us, because the lack of respect; we also didnt want his name to be on our marriage certificate. The day we choose was a Saturday, hence why I was locked out because the courthouse was closed but you are still able to have weekend appointments as long as you set it up in advance; because my husband is in the military our only option was that Saturday. His tardiness was a huge inconvenience and we did end up losing out on thousands of dollars of expenses. The both of us had family that traveled out of state and country and missed us getting married because of Metzger! Days after our Courthouse wedding with Bill Metzger Gone Wrong, I spoke to Metzger who was very rude and not helpful at all. He really showed how much he cares about representing and serving the people. Since then I do not think he is even capable of the position he is in, and I have heard stories of him showing up drunk to other weddings. So anyone looking for a judge to marry them, I do not recommend Metzger, something about him definitely is corrupt. Anyway anyone who has any problems can report a Judge to State Commission on Judicial Conduct, and sorry for my review being all over the place, I am great at rambling!
