Our drinks came out horrible taste like salt water and we ordered Don Julio Anejo margaritas. But our server GIGI DID NOT STOP UNTIL WE GOT THE PERFECT DRINK.. lol it took about 3times but we finally got the perfect cocktail GREAT SERVICE Food was pretty good as well..

Beautiful inside. Good service. Calamari app was very good. I got the volcano burger which was very tough. I ordered steamed veg on the side instead of fries. The veg came in a syrupy sweetish sauce with very small diced veg and full husk edimame. You couldnt eat it with a fork or your fingers. Wasnt very good. Friends res hot chicken had a good flavor but was tough. Overall meh food.

Really wanted to like it, but right from the beginning there was no ice tea available as an option because allegedly no one buys it only alcohol. The waiter claimed they are a cocktail bar yet they re advertised as a restaurant and bar. The available options for vegetarians and vegans was slim but workable, but the worst experience of all is that we were the only people there to eat at 7pm on a Saturday and yet the restroom was totally disgusting. Truck Stop Disgusting! There was urine all over the floor and even the walls. Dirty Paper towels all over the place and it smelled horrible. You know if most of the staff is standing around while the bathroom (patrons actually see) is gross then the kitchen behind closed doors is likely worse. Vegetarian options: The options for vegetarians, vegans or anyone with restrictions is very limited. I just left the place we got 7 shots the guy that was at the bar was excessively drunk he over charged us when we told him he started to scream. We asked for a manager and he said he was the manager. This establishment has potential and I m writing this review in the hopes that the owners or management will see it and make the necessary adjustments. The staff are very friendly and the vibe and finishes are nice, however I m not sure any of the employees know what to do. I was verbally greeted right away upon entering and found my party seated at a table so walked over and sat down. Then we waited, and waited. It was 10 minutes or more before a worker ever came by to introduce themselves or even give some waters. The worker who came was apparently not our server but someone else covering for him. We got a tiny bit of water and ordered apps/drinks. Then our server came to introduce himself. The digital menu was soooo large it took a while to read through, then a few things we wanted were not available. The first worker (who served us more than our supposedly real server) told us the menu is being updated and some things likely will be removed, good idea. Once we ordered the food we were ready for another round of water and drinks but nobody came. The appetizer came but still no refills. After sitting thirsty for a while we finally got the attention of the first worker who greeted us after we sat down, to get us refills. He was standing being the bar lackadaisically filling straws. It seems there s no one holding workers accountable here. There was only one other table when we arrived and then one more as we left, while 6 or so workers walked around the place but no one seemed to know what to do. I m not sure if any of them have ever worked in a restaurant before. The owners sat at the bar talking and on their laptop while their patrons were suffering with dry lips and their workers just walking around doing random low priority tasks instead of checking on tables and refilling drinks. Once we got the re-fills we were told our food is about ready. Soon after we got the main course, 45 minutes after I sat down, and it looked beautiful. It tasted really good. Shockingly good. I was skeptical based on the reviews and service but wow it was delicious. I will say the burger meat has a bit of an odd taste, but it was edible and the toppings made it delicious. Once we were done they took the plates away and we got the checks, there was a minor mishap with the POS but not a big deal. We skipped dessert because we weren t sure how long it would take to get those. I hope they can get an operations managers that defines roles and tasks and ensures the patrons are being taken care of, because the quality of service could kill this place. They have everything else going for them, but if you can t order the food and just sit at a table thirsty, people won t return. I ll give them another shot in a couple months and hopefully they improve because it could be a regular spot if service improves.

Better dining has arrived on Cedar Springs. Twisted Trick is well appointed in design and style. With a deep dark blues palette as the back drop with accents of glossy tile and glass the atmosphere is seductive with the invite of a private rendezvous. The mixology platform is stocked with clear crisp fresh libations the pouring today was Angel he shows confidence and care in his art. The menu is extensive from a crisp green appetizers arching to delicious array of meats my favorite is the Lamb which I will endulge on my next visit. Todays aparitive was enjoy with my friend Georgette. The opening was a proseco and Hendricks clubsoda accompanied with the Lamb sliders served to the perfect temperature on fresh bun perhaps potato we also enjoy the battered fresh crispy oakra which are very seasonal and were served perfectly. This visit was a casual lunch bite served by another Angle a new transplant from California. Angle provided notable service and attention to details and our comfort. Twisted Trick is definitely a perfect addition to the dining options, and I look forward to my next visit for the Lamb.

LOVE THIS PLACE! This spot is brand new and oh wow, how delicious! I met some friends for dinner and I can t rave about this place enough! I came to dinner here for pride weekend, and this place is the craziest mess I have seen yet for a restaurant . It was just a complete mess inside. Floors, tables, and booths were filled with dishes, flies, and just leftover things from previous guests. People twerking, screaming, and acting a fool in every corner of this place. We tried to order an array of things, but most plates were not available on the 4 page menu. So we ordered two aye papi old fashions. It came in a smoke box container that I believe was supposed to be smoked? But it was just an empty box? I have to mention that the owners are also completely out of it. Overly friendly hunched over your table, and then come back about every 10 minutes more intoxicated to tell you their life story. Also walked past them the next night screaming at people and police at the entrance to the place. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. I think my favorite thing about this place though, is the fake reviews they keep having their friends post to try and save the stars. I d go to the many other choices on the strip, that are professional and amazing. Not returning!

Twisted Trick is exactly what The Dallas Gayborhood needed!! This is the really the only bar/restaurant on the strip that offers an upscale drink, full menu and a great vibe. I had the pleasure of attending the soft opening where the drink presentations were 10/10 and all of the food had unique flavors! Ali & Shelby (owners) are fantastic people and this is not their first restaurant. They have worked so hard to give Oaklawn a new and exciting atmosphere! I really like how the establishment has local artists paintings available for purchase hanging throughout, great idea! I am so excited to return and watch this place grow into the top spot to be at on the strip! :)

MAJOR MAJOR WARNING FOR THIS PLACE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. When I say this place is a serious healthcode violation, I mean it. Someone please call the health department on this place.Behind the kitchen curtain, is literally a warzone of complete and utter nastiness, like food literally be stored on the sopping wet floor, no joke. Also would not trust any cups or silverware there. Not only is this place just disgusting, it is so poorly ran and maintained. I have no idea what the owners are doing, but they clearly do not care in the slightest. Nothing is put together at all. Everyone working there is in complete panic and dismay because the owners could care less about actually having a functioning business. I think they just really wanted to open for pride to rack in the money, but it is going to seriously ruin their reputation and hopefully just closes this hot mess express, it would be a godsend to the LGBTQ community honestly. The food is baby sized portions that are very expensive and take about and hour and 45 minutes to come out, and when it comes out it is legit frozen. The drag brunch was a disaster, literally had 5 different queens changing in one of the absolutely disgusting customer bathrooms. Speaking of the bathrooms one of the toilets was clogged and was spewing feces all over the bathroom and made the entire restaurant smell so bad I couldnt even stay in there any longer. I have been in some low low grade places in my life, but this takes the cake for being the worst. Also the owners are complete drunk fools, and consistently embarrass themselves. If you do go, please at least tip your server cash cause who knows where that money is going or even being given to them. Hate to see anything fail, but they honestly deserve it for how little they care, its literally written on the walls. Another straight couple taking advantage of LGBTQ spaces yet again, and completely embarrassing themselves.

Me and the girls went to twisted trick for girls night out for pride. The food was ok we understand they are new to the restaurant industry but sheesh we didnt need the owners life story. Sometimes silent service is best. Beyond the over sharing and asking us for a review, the food was mid and the drinks were decent. Music was extremely loud for fine dining. Cool looking place with nice vibes. Drinks are cute but the food is a mess. I know the place is new but I highly doubt the chefs have any culinary expertise at all. Food took forever and when it came out, everything was cooked incorrectly. Even the most basic items like toast, rice, and Mac and cheese were not fully cooked. This was true for every person s meal at our table. They should either completely scrap their food menu or fire the chefs and replace them with people who didn t lie on their resume and actually know how to cook.

New Bar/restaurant? This concept can be a challenge to execute on an open floor layout where drink experience and restaurant experience mingles. The menu suggests a fine dining experience with up 95$ a plate. As a fine dining, I dont really care for the speakers to be blaring the music in my ears, making it a challenge to have a conversation with my date. The menu; start by printing it, and yes, old school is better for dining guests. Tapas are not tapas as we expect, they are small plates. The Dr Pepper pork chops and short ribs tapas were overcooked. The salmon was good. The salad had an excessive amount of dressing. The chocolate cake was good. The staff is still learning and understandable. From this experience, I think the bar will be more popular, and maybe the food will change to be more of a bar experience and not a fine dining experience. I wish the best.

I checked out twisted trick on their first night open to the general public. The service is a little bit slow and I understand they were having some opening week jitters. But the staff did check in. I just think they have not yet quite got their timing down. This is why I gave four stars on service. Several times when I ordered something to drink throughout my meal, it failed to arrive before I could eat again I understand it was all still very new. The owners were present, which made for good discussion as they came over to check on me a couple times and I appreciated it. The quality of my food was good. I ll be at my tomahawk steak was a little more done that I wanted it and again I understand there were issues going on as they were getting used to all the Nunes of this restaurant. It is nice to see something higher caliber on Cedar Springs and the potential of what it will mean to dining experiences and special occasions. I think as the restaurant matures and understands its clientele and learns to work with being in the middle of a strip of bars, it will find its place and be everything it wants to be. I will definitely return and try other dishes. I ve included pictures of the tuna tartare and my tomahawk steak. Honestly this place is a VIBE!! Just what the gayborhood needed! They had their soft opening this weekend, so I m sure a few things need to be worked out but I m sure they are here to stay! Kali was our bartender and she was incredible! Every drink she made was phenomenal and she was extremely friendly. I got the chicken kabob plate and the chicken wings. I felt like the food was extremely fresh when it came out and it was so tasty. Portions good for the price of the food. Came here and unfortunately my experience was lacking. Service was slow. Food is underwhelming and when I did finally get my food it was cold.

Twisted trick has the BEST food on the strip. My favorite is the salmon. But treat yourself to a piece of their chocolate cake for dessert such a unique dining experience. My husband and I will definitely be back
