It was my first at Hat Creek. The manager, Broddie, immediately welcomed me in! Kind and light-hearted! I ordered the 6 piece buffalo nugget and Chips and Queso. The food was delicious. The atmosphere felt how McDonalds used to feel back in the day; laid back, and a place your kids can enjoy! You can tell the staff here really enjoy what they do and interacting with people. Thank you so much to Broddie and Ava, who made the experience unforgettable! BTW, get the milkshake! Its so good! Kid-friendliness: You could see your children interacting. The establishment has a child proof lock on the gate.

This was an A+ 5star first time experience. From the greeting upon entering the door to my satisfied tastebuds! This was quality. Brodie offered excellent customer service and great suggestions! He was an added delight to the delicious food! Definitely returning and absolutely suggest trying this place out if you re looking for a delicious hamburger, turkey burger or chicken sandwich. The sweet potato fries were great, crispy and paired perfectly with their signature sauce. The turkey burger southwest style was delectable added a few of my fried pickles to it and maaaan, YUUUMmmy! The combined playscape and patio area makes this a great spot to bring the kids as they can do a drive-by bite at the table in between turns on the slide. The food was great for the price, in both portion size and taste. The fact that I wasnt nickel and dimed for side sauces alone would keep me coming back. Plenty of variety in the menu to suit your mood even just among the burgers. I can see why this is a hot spot for families. Just be sure to keep a close eye regarding the second story of the playscape. The railing is not high enough to keep the taller kids from falling off. I was expecting a burger joint but it s fast food, which is fine because now rating a place is different than saying it s a burger joint or fast food place geared towards kids. It has an out door picnic area with a playground. The place was a mess in the picnic table area, I mean a complete mess. I know it s geared towards kids with the playground but my goodness it was a messy. The fries are that soggy style, which some people like. The employees were nice though. Update: the owner reached out to me and was very sorry. You don t see that many times. If you have kids this is a great place to go. Kid-friendliness: Kids can run wild because there s a playground.

Over the years service has changed and gotten less and less likely for us to return: the way the meals are served/ made now are filled with grease and make me sick right after: I also have lots of food allergies and used to be able to ask them to change their gloves and use a differnt cutting board etc etc. in fact, we would purposely come here because of how awesome they were about our food allergies now they acted shocked and confused when I asked them to wear gloves. When I mentioned I had a dairy allergy they still put cheese on my sandwich and I was very sick afterwards for about two or three days. It sucks that a place like this is really going downhill. There is one really tall guy that appears to like his job and take it seriously and he is always super kind and respectful to me. He doesn t check the bags to ensure quality service : nor did they offer me a drink carrier: those are simple things we would need as humans: he is always so nice that I didn t want to be rude or mean so I suffered with my sandwhich, no napkins, and then it backfired and I spilled my milkshake all over my car: it was a godsend because my car needed to be cleaned anyways, but it is still stressful for me whenever I used to brag this place up to everybody and then now I really kind of can t take it seriously anymore. Vegetarian options: Vegan options too! Like the veggie burger but it s total mush in the inside: Not like a burger at all. It s okay on flavor though. Really delicious veggie burger and burger bowls, far better than what fastfood places typically offer. Restaurant could use one more guy up front at any given time for questions because I dislike having to constantly interrupt people at their stations to come work the register. Its cheap, tacky, stressful, and the prices are high enough that they shouldnt be skeleton crewing the place. The decor needs more soft elements because the audio and lighting are horrible inside. The metal decorations are very echo prone and trying to speak and hear one another inside of Hat Creek is difficult, and I found the lighting harsh. The shakes are really delicious, but incredibly rich, be warned. Two straws should be the default, split it even though its not very large. Any larger would be dangerous. Take home some cute Hat Creek cups for your kitchen Vegetarian options: Very tasty veggie burger.

We sat in the drive through for over 45 minutes. The most frustrating part was the car in front of us got their meal for free. We had to wait just as long. The icing on the cake is they forgot one of our drinks and our food was frozen cold. We ve been here quite a few times but it s safe to say this will be our last. We live a couple hours from the nearest Hat Creek. Luckily we were in Buda for a volleyball tournament and after a very long day decided to grab some hat Creek for the road trip home. So we went ahead and ordered over the Internet when we got to the restaurant. The food was ready to go. Hot , fresh and easy to pick up which was nice because they were very very busy on a Saturday around 2 o clock, we thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and chicken sandwich and the loaded bacon cheese fries great place great food and great service will definitely stop next time we re in town .

Weve been going here every since our kids could walk! The food has always been great and so has the service. They just recently launched an app for rewards and to be able to order through the app. We just recently used the app for the first time with ease and ordered for pickup. I ordered for pickup and the app said to let them know that I had placed an order online. We ordered while we were in the parking lot to make it easier on ourselves with two toddlers in tow. So just a few minutes later, I went to the front to let them know that I placed an order through the app. The cashier went to check on it and said they were working on it. I told her that wed be outside by the playscape and I just assumed that Id either get a text or call when it was ready or theyd yell my name like they do when you normally order...however they didnt contact me and 20 minutes past which definitely was longer than it usually takes when you order at the front counter. So I went to check on my order and they said it had been ready and was bagged in the back. I was slightly upset that I wasnt notified when it was ready and I let the gentleman know that I had informed the cashier that we were by the playscape are and then even more dissapointed when the hot food was actually cold (my salad was the only exception) Anyways, I received a link for a survey feedback with that experience and I told them this information. Well I was actually contacted the next day with a sincere apology and a gift card for our next visit. It was just great to know that they acknowledged my feedback and will work towards this not happening again. So Id definitely recommend them and we will certainly continue to visit Hat Creek!

This was our first visit to the Buda location and we were not disappointed! There is ample space to get together with a large group of friends and/or family. The store was very clean and presentable. We came about an hour before closing on a Saturday night and it was nice to have the place to ourselves for dinner! We were greeted by Ruby, who was very sweet when taking our order. I have never eaten fast food that was so FRESH and had high quality ingredients! No other place you can get a massive salad for under $10, with chicken too. I really like this food. My family loves the food. I tried the queso for the first time yesterday and the flavor is delish without the spice being overpowering like other places green chile queso. I could actually enjoy the rich cheesy and buttery flavors. I love the Cobb salad. Its become my go to salad and the chicken sandwich and nuggets have me driving past the other famous chicken place to get theirs! I love that the staff is consistent and knowledgable. Food is always delicious and prompt but the shakes are a bit of a let down. They ve recently removed the option to get the specialty shakes in a smaller size so you re forced to buy a shake twice the size your kids can eat. It s wasteful and inconsiderate of the costumers. I was explained to that this was a corporate move, since manufacturers don t make the dome lids for a small size anymore. I don t feel like removing the option completely was the answer & this is frustrating to the managers as well. I was told by the manager i think his name was Craige, to order a small chocolate shake and add the Oreos and gummy worms(at no extra cost) to get the same thing in the appropriate size for my littles. I m super appreciative of his help but annoyed at Hat creek corporate.

San Marcos and Buda Location never disappoint! Its always so fresh and pretty quick, too. They always put so much effort into their food and make it look easy. I used to work in fast food/dining, so I know just how hard you work. Restaurants are always clean also. And if youre on a diet, get the turkey burger in a bowl, no bun, add cheese, or the chicken Cobb salad. Both are truly amazing and filling. Im not a huge sweet potato person, but theyre healthier for you, so try the fries that are seasoned SO well and dunk them in the pepper sauce. Youll thank me later

I picked up an order at the drive thru the other night. My food order was correct, hot, and delicious! So were my milkshakes . Even though I m 30, cotton candy is my favoriteeee flavor! I was very surprised and happy they had that option. However, the lady working drive thru who handles the drinks wasn t paying much attention because mine were missing or wrong size. I should have had 2 large drinks that I paid a small up charge for, but I got 1 regular drink. I didn t correct the size issue on the drink I did receive bc it was my boyfriends drink and he wasn t there lol. I did ask for my missing drink and when she handed it to me I drove off. Half way home I noticed she gave me unsweet tea instead of sweet.:( Not my day for drinks! I work fast food, so things like this are a good training opportunity. If you follow me or have seen any of my reviews, you know how much I love burgers. We havent been to Buda before, and this was the place my spouse picked based on reviews. We both had the hat burger as it was the only single patty option. Mine with pickle, mayo, and onion. The other with mustard grilled onions. Based on the amount of customs running through this place, I expected an exceptional burger. This was not the case. The burgers were bland with little to no seasoning. We both received French fries as a side. I personally didnt think they were anything special. My spouse, however, liked them. If you want something relatively quick, a playground for the kids and a couple of beers to help get the food down, this is the place to go.

Pets belong at home. NOT IN A EATING ESTABLISHMENT. Good burgers. Mostly seating is outside. So summer time during the day would not be advised. There is inside dining. But only about 10 tables. The kids love playing on the kidscape.

Id like to restate my original review following delivery on my first order a few months back. I did give Hat Creek Burger another shot and could not be more pleased with the quality of food and service this second time around. They absolutely redeemed themselves and would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the Buda area - not to mention South Austin. Definitely will be a repeat customer!

So I doordash I was sitting waiting someone walks in 5 min later there order is ready 20 min go by and they tell me people who are dine in take presidency over doordash and then the manager said he did not care and I could wait or leave. This is not how you treat people.

Its a burger joint that sells beer. Yay beer! Food has always been great. This time I had the chicken salad. Bang on. Celis on tap and landshark in a can. Vegetarian options: I saw they had them Parking: Hard to find the entrance, it connects within 50ft to the main shopping center Blvd intersection. Little bit of a thing to pull in. Try the fry sauce. you won t regret it! Love the veggie burger here. The best one I ve tasted so far! Their milkshakes are awesome too. The staff was super nice in changing the channel on the tv outside for us. The play place is awesome for the kiddos. Great place to sit and enjoy family/friend time.

Very fast and friendly service, which I appreciate. Burgers are great and so are the tots. Proportions are good and prices are fair. Theres a playground outside for the kids. Overall its just a great place to grab a quick burger. Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids if youre good with sitting in the covered outdoor area (and theres a playground). Might get a little cramped indoors if the kids are energetic though.

We ended up going and getting the breakfast sandwich and the new pretzel jack. My wife has been a fan of this place for a long time. This was my first visit and definitely not my last. The burgers were noticeably very fresh, well cooked and seasoned. One of my new favorite places to stop for a burger. Just a little upset it took me so long to finally try this place.

My opinion - for what is worth. Its fast food. I personally am not a fan of fast food, but find that you have to eat it sometimes. This was my first time eating here. I was expecting something more like Fudruckers, but found out it was just fast food. The place wasnt super clean, the tater tots tasted like the deep fryer needed the oil changed and the burger was ok. I noticed there were vegetarian, paleo, and keto options and that you can get any sandwich as a lettuce wrap or in a bowl without bread if you so choose. Again, just my opinion. To each their own. Vegetarian options: They do have a couple.

Id love to frequent this place more but had to stop as almost every order got screwed up, especially the breakfast service. Its a shame because their chicken sandwiches really are tasty -- its just highly unlikely that I will get what I ordered :(

The restaurant was dirty, none of the tables had been cleaned and there was trash on the floor. The bun was stale, the burger was room temperature and dry. The fries, which were supposed to be tots but they got my order wrong, were disgusting. The oil was old and smelled and tasted rancid. I will definitely not return. If you want a good burger in Buda, go to Dan s.

This place has the best burgers of any fast food joint in town! Bonus you can drink beer and wine with your burger. Cool little play place in the back if you have small children. Picnic table type seating outside on the covered patio. Awesome place for lunch or dinner.
