The foos isnt as good as it used to be. The buffalo wings were small and kinda over done. Some crab wonton thing was too gooey and i couldnt even taste the crab. The drunk or vodka pasta with sausage was pretty good.

Not at all how it use to be the service has gone down tremendously. The bathrooms were very disgusting and the food was cold. Drinks are over priced and not many options unless you only like wine. Could be so much better for the atmosphere. Wouldn t celebrate a birthday here again though

Unfortunately after being seated for over 20 minutes with no service, we chose to leave. The restaurant wasn t full and several servers were standing at the back of the restaurant laughing and talking. At no point did anyone check on us or simply offer water. It was a very disappointing experience.

Wife and I had a pretty terrible experience yesterday around noon. We seemed to be an afterthought to the servers. We didn t get any bread until we asked, and it didn t come until after our food arrived. We had three different servers come to our table, with the last one appearing so busy she barely could look at us. Both my wife and Is beef wellingtons had stale breading on the top. The beef and sides were still as good though. But the service was literally the worst I ve personally experienced anywhere. First time I ve ever chosen not to leave a tip after sitting, and the first time here that I was and still am genuinely mad I chose to go here instead of ordering some papa John s and saving $40.

If you need a place with lots of options, this is the spot. From Korean to Italian to American, Grand Lux Cafe has it all. Fiancé and I came around lunch time on a Saturday. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so pleasant. We waited 15 minutes for our table. -We ordered the Korean Short Ribs as an appetizer. These were fall off the bone! Perfectly cooked and the flavor was phenomenal. -I ordered the BLT with a salad with Caesar Dressing. I asked for crispy bacon as my ONLY request upon ordering. Once receiving my plate, the bacon was not in fact crispy and the bread was not what was mentioned on the menu. The Caesar Salad had wilted leaves. I sent the plate back for correction. At this point, I was already done. I got my order to go. -My fiance ordered the Carbonora Pasta with Grilled Shrimp. There is absolutely no complaints about this dish! It was delicious. -The waitress was very short with us and gave me an attitude upon requesting that my food be remade due to the mistake. For a mall restaurant, it is not bad but not great.

Me and my family took my brother to dinner and he suggested this place. It s like an upscale version of the Cheesecake Factory, but not quite. I love the decor and the ambiance, we were a lil overdressed for that particular atmosphere. Our waiter was kind but he was hard to grab his attention. The food was decent. I d say 7/10 I ordered a Parmesan crusted pork chop it sounded good. It wasn t bad but I wasn t in love with it. Food was average and acceptable nothing special. Our server was so put out that he has to actually serve us. It seemed like such a hassle to take our order and bring food to the table no follow up or offers for refills but he sure plopped the bill down the moment we finished our last bite. We waited a long time for him to come to our table as well. Restaurant was not busy but there was constant clanging of dishes and cutlery from the bus staff. Definitely NOT a customer service oriented restaurant Shame on you and in Dallas of all places.

The food is what you would expect with a restaurant that is attached to a mall. The cedar salmon I ordered was okay, not great and not the worst. The prices are reasonable though, that dish was about $28, and the quality fit that. Being a bit harsh but the photos make the place look grand and upscale but it seems like everything is bought from Sysco and reheated.

This was our third and last visit. Overpriced food for what you get. My side salad had a lot of rusty lettuce. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was paper thin! 2nd dish was chicken pasta akd it was flavorless, and the chicken was quite dried out. We ate half of it and left it. Wasnt worth bringing home. Definitely not worth $25! Save your calories and $$ go elsewhere. IMO

Fair prices and great selection. Went to have ribs on a Wednesday evening but was told they ran out. Ended up having the rib eye steak which came with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a couple of fried onions. Ordered the rib eye medium well but was a bit overcooked. Still ate it tho as it was very tasty despite being a bit dry due to being overcooked. The mashed potatoes were tasty and creamy and the fried onion rings gave it a nice crunchy touch. Def enjoyed the meal. My server was very nice and attentive. The inside of the restaurant looks very fancy and you d think its expensive but prices are fair.

I went with my wife and sat in a half booth 4-top. Quick service and food. Everything was as I wanted to enjoy it, and if not, surpassed. She ordered fresh lemonade, it came with a sugar rim. It was mid to her, but I enjoyed it more I think. I had just water for the day. For starters, I tried their spinach artichoke dip and it was a hit for her. They brought bread out as well, after asking us if we would liked it. It was sourdough. For our entree we shared the chicken Madeira. It came with mashed potatoes. Id have to grade the dish 4/5 for their quality level standards, but it served us well. It had what I assume a thin egg breading, the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly, though the breading separated a bit awkwardly, the potatoes were rich but a little staleness in our scoop. The sauce was delicious. I wanted to get their red velvet cake but I was full and couldnt tempt myself any further in delicacies. Great time with the wife. Parking sucked for me as I have a tall vehicle. I had my wife go in first and I parked 15 minutes later. Though they do have valet if you have the extra pennies.

6/23/2024. Excellent experience tonight. The food is great, the waiter is great, and that warm butter cake. Whoooowhhooooo! It was 1000% a different experience than last, that is for sure. 1 issuse. My sister / best friend was visiting with me from Houston,TX. This was just after the storm. I asked her where she would like to eat, and she said the Grand Lux Cafe in the Galleria, and so we did!!!!! We had an awesome time!!!! We had a very knowledgeable server named Derrick, who took the time to welcome us there and answered any questions we had about the menu. Once we received our ordered He made sure everything was right and to our liking. I ordered the delicious lettuce wraps, and my sister ordered the salmon dish with veggies. Everything thing was delicious, but we couldnt leave without ordering the beignets, which were very delicious I always like to highlight great service, so I asked Derrick if I could take his pic, and here we are. One of my favorite restaurants. So much to choose from. I get the Buffalo egg rolls every time I visit for the appetizer. They are delicious! This place has some of the best blue cheese. My go to entree is the lemon chicken picatta 5/5. Very delicious drinks. Food comes out very quickly. Service is always nice. Valet in the front! Love it here.

The food is delicious and service wonderful. The only thing I didn t feel good about was the rice they served with the cujun shrimp and chicken. There were two or three bites of it with little tiny bits that was too dry and I can tell it was exposed to the air couple of hours without the moisture of steam rice at all.

The food itself is some of the best! The restaurant has an outside entrance and is also accessible from inside the mall. Make sure to make a reservation on weekends at dinner time, otherwise you should be able to walk in and be seated on most days without any issues. We prefer to sit in the main dining room as the service in the bar has been very slow in our experience. The main dining room offers tables for accommodating sizes of different family/friend structures. The atmosphere is rated 4/5 because some of the booths are situated such that you re very close to the table next to you with just a small barrier. We always order the buffalo chicken rolls for an appetizer. There are 6 rolls about the size of taquitos served with buffalo sauce, rice strings, blue cheese, and celery sticks. For the entree, we go for the beef wellington. It s served as 4 mini beef wellington layered from bottom to top - beef tenderloin, mushroom topping, puff pastry. They are served with mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and carrots. I don t like carrots, but I eat these. This visit, we tried the warm butter cake for dessert and it was delicious. It was served. with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and whip cream. So worth it. But so much food! The service is a bit slow regardless of where you sit, however, this can be a benefit as they give you plenty of time to finish your food. We eat here at least twice a year because of the food! Parking: There is plenty of parking. There is limited ground parking, but valet is always available. The purple garage is the most convenient to the entrance and the stairs will put you right in front of the restaurant. There is also parking at any of the three parking garages for the mall.

Not at all impressed. Ill start with the positive elements. The atmosphere was very similar to a cheesecake factory, makes sense because its the same ownership group. We ordered the Buffalo chicken rolls as a starter, and despite taking some time to come out of the kitchen, they were very good. Our main meals were not good. It took probably a half hour to get our order out to us and when we got the food, it was cold. I ordered the the cafe beef Wellington, and my wife ordered the ahi tuna steak burger. I ordered the beef Wellington medium and it came out well done... Not even a hint of pink in the meat. And the meat was cold despite being overcooked. The ahi tuna steak burger was basically a huge bun with a tiny bit of tuna on it. It was really a laughably small amount of tuna. It also took them about 10 minutes to come back and pick up the check so that we could leave. I do not recommend this place.

Wow. I was shocked at this place being so bad. Service - terrible. Atmosphere - loud, plates clanking, mismatched music to what should be. Food - our appetizer (buffalo rolls) was good, and our drink was good (passion fruit ginger tea). BUT. Our entrees were bad. I ordered the Ahi Tuna burger... The bun was 4x the size of the burger patty... The toppings were sparce and poorly put together. The Ahi was seared... However, it was cold and just tasted bad. (And I love most Ahi). My husband ordered the beef Wellington as medium .. and it was well done and also cold. Horrible combination. Very dissappointing. We also spent forever waiting at each stage of the meal. Our drink took forever, then our appetizer, etc. Even had to wait forever after she brought the check to come back and get our card. Love cheesecake factory... This does not carry the same level whatsoever.

The food is still good, but Im disappointed they cut the menu down. For the price, they didnt have to cut the portions down. The calamari is perfect. Burger got a rave review. Although the beef wellington isnt really a beef wellington, the meat was very good. Large plump shrimp. Service was police and express. All and all very good.

Great brunch spot. They have something for everyone. The service was excellent and the food was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back. We had a really large party so we all got to taste a little of everything and no one was disappointed. The waffles were so good people started to order a side of waffles for meals that are not paired with waffles. Its connected to the mall so if you want to walk off your meal this is the perfect place.

All of the food was room temperature or cold as if it had been sitting out for a half hour. The bathrooms were so dirty and there was food stuck on the table we were seated at. Nothing about the experience was pleasant. I would not have expected such a poor experience at a restaurant that charges $15-$25 for appetizers and $25+ for every entree.

I have been a regular customer of Grand Lux since 2018. The food and drinks have been impeccable. But my experience in may 2024 left me disappointed. Our server was inept to say the least. Our food was served cold and the cocktails were a disaster. This type of service and atmosphere after the restaurant was half empty. I have been here during peak brunch hours and received amazing food, but this time around my server was such a pain and overall it left a bitter taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively.

Theres nothing bad to say about this place.. Everything was delicious and cooked properly.The staff that we dealt with was very nice. As a trained chef, i eat Brussels Sprouts every day. Not very many places cook them properly. Grand Lux did. Not as good as mine (would never admit even if they were. LOL), but they are close. The only thing to be warry of is the beef wellington is cooked beef medallions with a flakey biscut on top. the beef is not wrapped in pastery like normal. That said, it was the best beef wellington we have ever had. Even better than Old Warsaw (and we thought that was the best). So maybe Grand Lux is on to something. We will definitely be back as they have several things on the menu we want to try. They are on the expensive side but the portions and quality are very good for the price.

I placed an order online 5/1 order# 26487713336754177 My fried Crispy Thai Shrimp & Chicken Spring Rolls were burnt tasting and cooked too long. And my Box of Warm Homemade Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies were undercooked twice! I waited for another batch for 10 minutes and the second batch was still undercooked. I called the next day 5/2 to get resolution and the manager Alex was extremely rude and unhelpful. I will be filing Dispute with bank since he did not assist! Called 5/3 to speak with GM William and he was wasnt too pleasant either. I felt accused of trying to pull one over! I had to show photos and luckily I took a few as proof bc that was the only way of me receiving a partial refund. I will NEVER be back to this overrated trash service/food restaurant again! This has been one of the most disappointing experiences weve ever had at a restaurant regarding the food. At first, we were very excited about going to that place in our last visit to Texas. The first impression we had was not very pleasant because the music was extremely loud. Nevertheless, we went ahead and gave it try, though while waiting at the table, we were seriously considering just to leave, but then Derek, our server, showed up, and we changed our minds based on his excellent service. What a mistake we made; the shrimp smelled like spoiled, my girlfriend returned it, of course, and my rib eye was definitely another cheap cut that I couldnt determine with a really bad texture, really tasteless. Terrible experience, for sure!

Grand Lux Cafe Dallas, is a very pleasant place. I LOVE it. And I think it carries its name for real. One of the few coffee which prepares and cooks the cakes you order on demand. Their Espressor was excellent as expected. (It is hard to find similar espressos ) I just would have prefered to see more cakes choices.

First time at the Grand Luxe Cafe, and the experience started off terribly but our server T (Terrone?) was absolutely amazing. T serves a 5* rating but overall, I will give this review a 4* because the hostess was not efficent or friendly. We came for an early dinner at 5pm, the restaurant literally had 3 tables of guests. The hostess told us it would be a 10 min wait. Why does it take 10 min to seat us when there were 98% empty tables. We had 3 kids with us and asked for colouring and she forgot to bring them to us. I went up to the hostess stand and noone was available. However, T really turned things around. He was so lovely. Super kind, very detailed oriented, proactive - really appreciated Ts service. He made sure to put our order in quickly, always checked in with us, made jokes and was really attentive. The food was sooooo good. We shared the mashed potato spring rolls and tried the spicy vodka rigatoni. The fresh complimentary bread was perfectly baked and soft. The kids loved their macaroni and cheese. For dessert, we had the warm butter cake which was delectable and the oreo cheesecake. Thanks so much T, for the service. Will definately return!
