I really like this place it will be my place. Playground: Small enough for the parents to sit and watch their children play themselves out. This park is heavily utilized by the community. The ducks are fun to watch, and I appreciate the small Japanese garden. Playground: Small playground but the kids seem to do a good job of sharing the space with each other and the ducks. Dog-friendliness: The sidewalks are well maintained and there are sufficient trash cans for waste.

We really like Kidd springs park. They have a walking track that goes around the giant pond. There are tennis courts and basketball courts. Theres a playground as well as a fitness center. Inside the rec center they have spaces that you can rent out for different things. Theres always something going on in there. There is also an aquatic center which is pictured. Its only open for a few weeks during the summer, but the pool is really large and it has climbing wall that hangs over the deep end.

One of my favorite Oak Cliff parks!! Touring with Friends of Oak Cliff Parks today, to review new upgrades in the Japanese Garden portion, currently in progress. They include improved ADA accommodations, lovely new entry gates, paved paths, sturdy bridges and new path lighting (modeled after pagoda lighting). Adding a photo of an antique pagoda in the park. Free admission to the park itself. Also, the aquatic center was redone a few years ago and has a reasonable modest admission price when open in the summer.

Kidd Spring Park comes to mind when I think about what a complete neighborhood park should look and feel like. This park has everything, a lake, walking trails, a kids playground, a basketball court, a baseball field, tennis courts, and plenty of picnic tables and seating park seating. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it has a rec center and aquatic center with pool slides. I found that Kidd Spring Park is a beautiful place to bring the kids. It also has the amenities to have a relaxing lunch with friends. If you are looking for a place to relax and meditate, you can grab a seat along the lake or read a book in the Japanese garden. There is something for everyone. Although Kidd spring park is better gear for walking or a light jog, this is not the park for you if you want a more intense run or cycling. This is one of Dallass top 10 parks.

A north Oak Cliff neighborhood jewel in the Dallas Park and Recreation system. Kidd Springs is anchored by a fountain and duck pond where turtles sun themselves surrounded by paved walking paths and boardwalk bridges; a Japanese Garden opened in the 1970s and renovated in 2023; two outdoor pavilions; an outdoor basketball court that added bleacher seats, a water fountain and lighting in 2022; tennis courts that added pickle ball in 2022; and two playgrounds. The recreation center has a weight room and multipurpose room overlooking the pond and classes throughout the week. Additional athletic facilities include an illuminated baseball diamond and soccer fields. Kidd Springs Aquatic Center is open during the summer.
