My wife and I went for lunch and my wife got quesadillas with a salad. A lot of the lettuce in her salad was rotten. She mentioned this to the waiter, and he went and got her another salad which had just as much rotten lettuce in it. Finally, and third time is the charm, the manager brought another salad and said he made it himself. She proceeded to pull out rotten lettuce and put it on her plate to show him. He said dont worry he would comp her meal would she like soup? If she had wanted soup, she would have ordered soup in the first place! The manager never apologized even as we left the restaurant. We will not be back to on the border in Addison.

Had dinner at the Addison location 08/23/24 - hadnt been there in 6 months and was pleasantly surprised! They have upgraded the recipe for their house margarita - you can now taste the tequila for the 1st time in years! And... will leave you with a nice warm feeling! Theyve also upgraded some of their menu items. Ive always preferred On The Border to all other TexMex places (except for Javiers in Dallas and maybe the original Herreras in Dallas). The rest dont really compare. But, Ive been disappointed with their Margaritas for several years - always bringing my own flask of tequila to spice up their Margaritas. Well - those days are over... for now, anyway! The service was great in the bar, and the entrees were good. Recommend you give them a try!

My friend and I ate lunch here. She had the Grande Taco Salad with chicken. It included lettuce shredded cabbage, grilled chicken, and cheese in a crispy taco shell. She also had iced tea. She said everything was delicious. I hat Borderitto. It s a huge burrito. I ordered mine with beef and chicken. It had rice, corn, black beans, and salsa on the side. It also came with a side order of queso. I ordered guacamole with it. The other also included rice and refried beans. If was a little bland to me. I ordered a side of pickled jalapeños that made it taste better. I also had a Dos Equis lager.

We went there on a Wednesday night around 8 p.m. Our server was very nice, helpful, and patient. Our server was just the right amount of attentiveness. The food was also great. We ordered the sampler platter for an appetizer and was not disappointed with anything. My son had chicken tacos and my wife had shrimp tacos. I had the fajita salad and chicken tacos. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

So me and my family of four came in last Friday spent over 100$ halfway through our meal we see a roach crawling on the door loss of appetite for sure called the manager over to let him know he apologized and gave us dessert free of charge. My girlfriend and I called ahead and asked if we can bring our dog who is very well behaved to dine at this location on their patio. We were delighted to be met by the most attentive waitress named Anna. The whole experience was almost out of body! I would highly recommend this place just be sure to ask for Anna because she is an angel. Five stars is the max unfortunately they dont have 11. LOL

Really great experience here! To start, the chips and salsa were very good. I like thin chips and the salsa was spicy and flavorful. (Some chips were a little too oily). The menu had lots of options that looked good; I ended up ordering the chicken bowl and it came out warm and perfectly cooked. Big shoutout to our waitress Yomira! She was wonderful and one step ahead of our every need. The music went perfect for the atmosphere and theme of a Tex Mex place. Everything was very clean. Would recommend and will return!

The interior decor and outdoor patio are comfortable and cozy. The service is good. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. The Borderita was fantastic, and I love the assortment and presentation of their frozen margaritas. The only issue is the food. It was just very basic and came lukewarm. Ive worked at Applebees, so Im familiar with chain restaurants and can definitely tell how their food is made. I ordered the Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos platter. The flavor and spice were good, but you could tell it had either been made with it and fried or tossed in the sauce and left to sit. The picture on the menu shows a bright orange color, but mine is bland and dull. Their prices reflect the quality of food. I was surprised OTB was priced as it is because of the inflation and things happening now. Id come back for a cheap, okay meal if I was bringing friends or family based on price alone. If the food quality improves, this specific restaurant could be a 4 or 5.

Always a great time... Food is always HOT and they always make it easy to add extra rice... Chips and salsa always on the table... Great service filling up my drinks.

Place was dark as if it was closed. Crawfish queso tasted old and in a plate that looked unclean. The drink and cup was nasty and tasted as if the machine hadn t been cleaned in years. Food poorly prepared. Barely anyone in the restaurant

This OTB consistently has great drinks. The $6 watermelon margarita is something that I look forward to every year. The food is hit or miss & there hardly ever is a hostess standing at the front when you walk in. The location is great & they brought back the Ultimate Fajitas, so I ll continue to come back

Staff is excellent...Amanda the bartender is great. Margs are above average, very good chips/salsa, good happy hour. Ask for the happy hour queso and tacos. Truly the dumbest management ever. Went there for Cinco and instead of specials, eliminated happy hour and increased pricing. Instead of trying to attract regulars and increase long term business, they went for the quick dollar. Truly the worst way to conduct business ever. Terrible management. Ha...again, left.Vidorra because no seats. Increased prices 50%, less service, smaller margarita. Truly the most ineptly run restaurants in the nation. On the Border is pathetic in all ways...the Addison, TX location looks like a jailbreak spot.
